I loved this book, I slept with my kindle and got up reading more. Once I finished this book I looked for more of her work. Once I got off into the books it was like I couldn't put it down. That is so relaxing and helps when you get off into a GOOD book. Nadia Nicole you did your thing.

This story is full of unapologetically flawed individuals who displayed growth, and I'm hoping to see more character development in part 2. Most of the characters need ongoing therapy, and perhaps that'll take place in the next book. The author did a good job of displaying the inner workings of Nicole who was still dealing with childhood trauma. I'm happy Nicole has a great support group in Tyrus and Whitney. Whitney and Stephen had me shaking my head the entire time. Whitney is more forgiving than most people, and I'm interested to see what happens to her and Stephen in part 2. I was shocked by what happened at Tyrus' house, I indeed wasn't ready for that. Poor Nicole, may she have better luck in part 2. At times I was confused due to the many pov's, but I do feel as if I understand most of the character's motivations.

Dang…. this book took me through it

The book touched on some issues that were very heavy and could be triggering to some. At first, Nicole was working my nerves but when I learned her story. I understood and Tyrus seems like he can be dangerously possessive. Stephen reminds me of that guy who sleeps with women for appearances only. But he walks in his truth by close doors.
