The h/H have a very strong sexual attraction which they fight. He is a buttoned up conservative businessman and she's a free spirited purple haired hair stylist. Plus his brother and her sister are married and any involvement would be complicated. The have one night of hot sex to get it out of their systems after siblings wedding. They avoid each other for three months but neither of them can forget.
Now H's father is insisting he get married and H is tired of dodging him so he figures if he has to marry it might as well be to h where he knows he'll get the best sex he's ever had. He marches into her place of business and insists they marry she says you'd have to pay me a million dollars and says half a million she says why he says because I have to get married.
The h coincidentally needs a quartermillion for her friends son's kidney transplant. She'd promised to help just that morning. The H insists they marry that day.
They have hot sex that night and then everything goes downhill. There's a misunderstanding about honeymoon and H makes it clear he'll never love her he only wants sex she says no way and moves into another bedroom.
The h is a very likeable fun character. Certainly not a doormat. The H has some issues to work thru and he eventually does with the h's help. HEA

what do a free- spirit, purple haired stylist and a high-powered, hard-edged businessman have in common ? A scorching chemistry. And a marriage license. But Sierra gets past Dominic very well-developed guard. And as any typical HP hero, Dominic is slow on the uptake. He gets his sweet time to figure out that he loves Sierra.

And Marjorie—the woman he’d been quite sure would never want more from him than his presence in her bed—had just banged the receiver in his ear after delivering an ultimatum: if he wanted to see the inside of her bedroom again, she expected an engagement ring.
He’d never expected Carin to jilt him. But she had. He’d been left standing at their Bahamas hideaway with a ring, a red face and two hundred intrigued wedding guests, but no bride.
It was warm inside, cold out there. The windows were fogging up, reminding him of other foggy windows, of a night out of time—of steam and sex and a woman who wasn’t bloodless at all.
And he felt his body harden now at the mere memory of her—and of that night.
Sex like they’d had that night was a once in a lifetime thing. It had to be. He’d certainly never had it before—or since. It certainly hadn’t happened with Marjorie.
Sierra should have known it was going to be one of those days.
Sierra did not expect every day to be stress-free. But the bitch-quotient in Finn MacCauley’s studio this morning was threatening to blow Manhattan right off the map.

Argumento:
Dominic Wolfe, uno de los empresarios más astutos de Nueva York, debería haber sabido que una aventura de una noche, por magnífica y apasionada que hubiera sido, no era motivo suficiente para casarse. Pero no era a su cabeza a lo que estaba obedeciendo cuando le pidió a Sierra que fuera su esposa.

5th in a series....Phew! Finally done as I had already read the 6th one. This was a nice read. The Hero is head of the Wolfe family. He was jilted years earlier at the altar, so he will never put himself out there emotionally again. His dad keeps trying to fix him up(he is responsible for the first fiasco engagement) therefore he decides to marry his purple haired sister in law. There are two reasons for this: she is a shocking choice to present to his dad and she is hands down the best sex he ever had. He can’t get her out of his head...so marriage of convenience based on sex. The heroine is spunky, fiery and can charm the pants off her severest critics. She agrees to marry the H because he is the best sex she ever had, she wants money to help with a kidney transplant for a neighbors son, and somehow she fell in love with the H 3 months ago during a one night stand at her sister’s wedding🤔 The h ends up kicking the H out of their matrimonial bed within the first week because she isn’t going to be one long booty call. She wants more....This next part I quite like, instead of playing a jealousy game with the H she basically makes the H want to get to know her better. She is always the optimist and her way with him is gentle....but she is never a doormat! Everything is an adventure to her and she is always looking for ways to make things better for others. Throughout this time which is most of the book we see the H grow....he is protective of the h, worries she may leave, and you can tell he has fallen in love even though he doesn’t realize it. He needed this sparkly jewel in his uptight world. Near the end of the story our two finally get a honeymoon. Things go well and then there is an angsty bump in the road which is quickly resolved. It is a set up for the next story. They have a nice HEA in the end!
