read for my domestic tales class

idek what to say, this short story aged like milk. it’s fascinating to think that this was considered popular literature but i wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. two stars bc the ending was so dramatic, underwhelming and misogynistic it made me laugh a little and the male love interest gave me aroace vibes.
