Shotgun Ridge's unlikely matchmakers strike again in Mindy Neff's THE DOCTOR'S INSTANT FAMILY. Four geezers meddle and interfere in the love lives the town bachelors in an effort to prevent the small town from dying out. Lloyd, Henry, Vern and Ozzie might be odd matchmakers, but they are successful. Their latest attempt to bring together Dr. Chance Hammond and Kelly Anderson seems to be paying off in spades when she goes to work for him. Unfortunately, Kelly's past may get in the way of their matchmaking plans. Kelly's husband had been sleeping with her best friend; a fact she discovered during his funeral. Her youngest daughter has not spoken a word in six months -- not since she saw her father electrocuted. So not only has she lost her husband, but also her best friend and the sound of her daughter's voice. Despite Chaos obvious interest, Kelly has no desire to share her life with anyone except her daughters.

Another great story with the Shotgun Ridge romance meddlers at it again. They are trying to marry off Dr. Chance Hammond, the town's doctor now and things seem to be going well. Enter Kelly Anderson with her two small children who have moved to town to regroup and find some much needed peace and healing. Kelly's youngest daughter has not spoken for six months after seeing the traumatic death of her father. Kelly hopes that this move will help mend her daughters. She takes a temp job at Chance's office and he makes no secret of the fact that is is highly attracted to her. He sets out to win her and her daughters. The question is can Kelly open her heart again. There are lots of twists and turns with this book and also some great laughs as well. It plays havoc with your emotions so be sure to have the tissues ready. Your heart has so many feelings with this book and does not stop until the very end and then you have the urge to read it again! It is intensely sexy and packs a raw punch. There is drama, suspense, and lots of romance. It is wonderfully written with strong, totally sexy characters. Definitely a keeper. I thoroughly recommend this book and all the rest in the series. Mindy Neff never fails to satisfy the want of romance in you. Enjoy! I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

This story has to be my favorite of this wonderful series. Chance and Kelly's story is so touching because of the tragedy Kelly and her daughters have suffered. Kelly's husband was not a good husband, but having her youngest daughter watch him die has broken her family. She has brought the girls to Shotgun Ridge to try to heal, her new boss Chance is the town's doctor and a really good man. Together they make beautiful memories for her children as well as themselves. This a truly beautiful love story as they discover love and the perfect family.

SUCH A WONDERFUL STORY!!!!!!
I am sitting here in awe at Mindy Neff's story telling abilities! Every book I read of hers, especially in this series, I don't think that she can outdo her other books and then she does!!!!!! This is such a wonderful story. So moving, so sweet, so funny, so endearing!!!!! Plus very sensual and romantic with a story line that grabs your heart, won't let you go, and keeps you enthralled throughout the entire story. Every word is so beautifully expressed and descriptive. It was an absolutely delightful book and I highly recommend it!!!!!!!😁

A sweet, happy, mildly sexy holiday story. I loved Kelly's two girls. The way Chance interacted with them and the way Kelly embraced the community and lifestyle was great.
You don't have to read these books in order to enjoy them. I read book 1, and accidentally read this book next. It didn't diminish my enjoyment. It just made me want to read the rest of the series.

Another great story.
Each book can be read on there own, but start with book one and read each one in order. This story brought tears to my eyes. I would love to be on a community that close. My town was that way till it started to expand. Now I do not know my all my neighbors as before. Happy reading.....

Chance and Kelly
A little girl needed a good reason to talk after she saw her dad electrocuted. After a nudge and getting hounded by the press, mom Visits Shotgun Ridge with a doctor bachelor who is so sweet, gorgeous , sexy and oh so willing to help the visitors. I laughed, cried and enjoyed this story so much!

A fun book with wonderful people living in it! Dr Chance is a charming gentleman and quickly falls for Kelly and her two absolutely adorable girls. Love it!
Romance at it’s best! It has all the right ingredients. You’ll find a man that will make you swoon, hot, sweet, and understanding, you’ll want the story to never end. This series is worth every minute spent on it!

Another wonderful book. Having a child who can't talk and having one that can that has seen a traumatic event that causes her not to speak is staggering. The patience and caring of a good doctor can make a tremendous difference.

sweet-ish
I think Chance was sweet, caring, and the perfect book-boyfriend. Kelly was kind of off putting. Borderline rude. I didn’t really like her. Ending was sweet but hard to be happy for her since I didn’t like her.

This was an interesting story. It had a bit of everything. There was some sexual content but not too much.
