Heavens, these King brothers are something else! They know what they want, and will do anything to get it.
Rey is a man with many layers, and he’s met his match in Lilly. She made a fool out of him, shot him,and disappeared. But when he finally catches her,she wíll pay for what she’s done! He orders her to come to the States, but finding her in Danika’s Art Gallery? That’s not what he expected….at all!
Lilly knew she shouldn’t have gotten involved with Rey,but he wore her down, and she loves him. She had to shoot him to save his life,or her employers would’ve killed him…. Being near him again is sweet torture, and knowing he hates her for what she’s done, hurts. But it’s better, because it’ll keep him alive….even if it breaks her heart to know she’ll have to leave him, again.
Then, his boss and hers decide to make things even harder…. They’re going to have to work together,as a couple! To flush out a man that’s been impossible to catch. In the middle of all this,Rey has a change of heart. He’s thought things through, and decided there wás more to why she did what she did, back then. And why blame her for doing her job, when he did exactly the same….lie, deceive and kill if necessary. Only,Lilly has walls the size of the Chinese Wall, and it’s going to be tough to bring those down.
The twists and turns in this one kept me guessing and second guessing. The chemistry between Rey and Lilly was still there, and they couldn’t keep their hands off eachother. The added spice because of that was delicious, and i enjoyed it very much! The story never had a dull moment, and held my attention from start to finish. In fact,i found i couldn’t stop reading until i díd finish…..
Second chance romance. Lilly wants to protect everyone she cares for, even if it means cutting all ties. Rey isn't willing to let her do it to him a second time around. So when they are paired together on a mission, he also has a personal mission to get her back - and keep her.
Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4.5) Trope: second chance Angst: 😱😱 Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥
Reyhan and Lilly have a complex past filled with deception, love, and betrayal. Reyhan is a CIA agent and part of the powerful King family. Lilly/Cora is an asset of a secret global agency who will do anything to protect him from the people who will never let her go.
I just really love this series so much and Deceptive Knight was no exception! It has a complex, well written storyline with tons of action and fantastic characters. Reyhan is cool, calm, and collected under pressure - except when it comes to Lilly who just pushes all his buttons. Lilly is a fantastic heroine who is a born protector. She's super smart AND kicks @ss too ❤️. This book is FILLED with smart, powerful, and strong women - both the good guys and and the bad guys, lol. Vicious Prince is still probably my favorite of the series, but this one definitely ticked my boxes too!
Deceptive Knight is the third book in the Street Kings series by Sienna Snow. It is a standalone, but best read in series order. Deceptive Knight is told in first person, from dual perspective.
OMG. I love this book. I have read a couple of books from the author but I kinda enjoyed this more. It's a second chance at love story of Lilly and Rey. They have met earlier and fall in love but under another circumstances, love brought them back and this time leaving the other behind is not an option.. A fantastic book, a standalone and I recommend it 👍 👌. I received an ARC for my honest review.
This is the third book in the Street Kings series. I love all the characters in this series and this book didn’t disappoint! The King men are hot, powerful and dominant. The women are smart, feisty and powerful. I like that Sienna writes female characters that are strong and men that are attracted to the strength their women hold. This story is of love and second chances. It is action packed and full of spicy hot times. Lilly shows that she is an equal to Rey, cunning, smart and powerful. She is a force to be reckoned with. This story grabbed my attention right from the start and didn’t let go. Can’t wait for more of The Street Kings to come!! - Nicole
The Deceptive Knight by Sienna Snow is a second chance, dark romance that follows Reyhan and Lilly. It is book number three in the Street Kings series. Highly recommend reading the other books first before diving in to this one.
I loved that this story has a strong a** female lead. Lilly is amazing and honestly just so kick a**. I was so impressed by her. All the women were so strong and powerful. Reyhan is so 🔥 and in love, so he was also super cute. The men remained dangerous and willing to do anything it takes for “family.” Together they were unstoppable.
This story was action packed from the very first page to the very last. The suspense and drama in this book drew me in so quick. And the spice on top of that?! So steamy!! 🔥🔥 My favorite is the scene from the night club 😜🥵 iykyk.
If you are looking for a book that will transport you to another world and feel like you are living in an action movie, pick this book/series up.
* I was provided with an arc copy in exchange for an honest review of this story.
I really enjoyed this story in 'Street Kings' trilogy. I loved how Lilly was very independent and strong and could definitely take care of herself. Reyhan was in love with her even though he didn't want to admit to it at first because of things that happened with them in the past. This book had me enthralled from the very beginning and I really loved the characters. It kept me in anticipation waiting to see what would happen with the characters and what would happen with Lilly and Solon. Both characters were holding secrets from the other but they were doing it because they loved each other. I can't wait to read the next story and would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves steamy, suspenseful romances. I received a review copy of this story from the author and am leaving a voluntary honest review.
I have enjoyed all the books in the Street Kings series by Sienna Snow and Deceptive Knight was no exception. It can be read as a standalone but if you would like to know more about the back stories of Lilly and Reyhan, and even some of the other characters, I recommend you start from the beginning. Deceptive Knight is a grayish spy romance with secrets to unfold, danger to overcome, plans to destroy and hearts to be mended. Lilly and Rey’s chemistry is off the charts🔥 and their intimacy is panty melting 🥵. Their history makes their union significantly more intense and drives the reader to invest more into their story. Ms. Snow, as usual, continues to hook us into the Street Kings series, I know I can’t wait for the next in line.
Sienna Snow does it again! As with most, if not all, of her previous books, Deceptive Knight delivers action, suspense and deep abiding love. Lily and Reyhan are two of my favorites. Like always, Lily is amazingly accomplished in multiple fields. Rayhan is genius smart too as well as tough as the street thug he was. Like the other Street Kings, he's taken the crap hand he was dealt and the hand up he was offered and accomplished so much.
I didn't love Lily but I liked her plenty. Why didn't I love her? She won't let anyone, even this reader, for the longest part of the book. She's determined to never let Ray love her because she feels they have no future. Salon owns her soul more than the average person who works for them. She'll never be free.
Rey has a lot of baggage with Lily too. She shot him and disappeared. That's a lot to take from the one person you love beyond reason. But when the fates determine that a couple belong together mere mortals can't change that course forever. All the love and attraction is still there and when Rey makes a deal that has Lily and he in a multi-level scheme to take down more human traffickers. They two soon can't avoid rekindling their long-lost love as they navigate the frightening underworld of the world's worst criminals.
I love Lily's strength and her brokenness. I love the relationship she has with her family despite having cut ties years ago. And of course, I love her love for Rey and their rightness together.
You know the bad guys will be caught but not until great drama in any Snow novel and this book had all that. And hot. Did I mention hot? There's lots of steaming sex too. I highly recommend this book to lovers of most romance genres as well as those who just love a good suspense story.
Thanks to the author and Social Butterfly PR for the ARC.
So angsty but not in an over the top way. This is a second chance romance between two agents who keep secrets from one another but also love with everything they have for the other. Not a slow burn in anyway. The King brothers are so hot. And I liked Lilly a lot, very capable woman who knows what she wants and what she wants is Rey.
I loved Rey and Lilly!! The dialogue and writing style also felt a lot more natural this time. I only wish that we got to learn more about their past (because the details are a little muddy to me) and there was a more extended epilogue/ending!
I'm so excited for Sam & Devani's book next--I can't believe we have to wait a whole year 😭
This story packs a punch and I couldn't get enough. Rey and Lilly are fire! This author knows how to write strong female characters that are perfect for the alpha-men. It's exciting, dangerous, super sexy, and I need more!
I loved Lilly. Her heart was always in the right place and she just wants to protect those she loves. She is very capable, yet vulnerable with Rey. Sweet story how they loved, lost, and found love again.
The European agency wants Lily back and they will do anything and everything to make that happen including using Rey. Lily disappears to protect the ones she loves including Rey. She has a strong chemistry with him but keeps pushing him away to keep him safe. Reyhan and Lily are both agents and hackers for different agencies. He tries to keep her safe but she has a mind of her own that seems to get her in trouble. Lies, deceit, betrayal, danger, espionage and sizzling scenes. Can't wait for next installment!
Oh, my word what a wild ride! Deceptive Knight is the story of Rey and Lilly, they are two agents working for two different agencies. It is immediate connection but then she disappears. He is left wondering if it was real or all a part of her cover. The search is on, and he wants more than answers, he wants her. Lily is working to protect the ones she loves, including Rey and disappearing is part of that plan. Now fate has other plans as they find themselves in the same city after the same target. This is not your cookie cutter love story! It is filled with mystery, intrigue, so much sizzle and yes, a connection that they cannot deny! ~~Michele McMullen ~~
I really enjoyed this story about Lilly and Reyhan. It shot out of the pages at 100 miles an hour and didn’t slow down for one second! Okay maybe it slowed down when it got a little bit spicy! There are so many secrets, betrayals, danger, drama and twists that keep you completely riveted to your seat unable to look away! It is one intense emotional rollercoaster ride!
Really well written story with lots of twists and turns and all kinds of steaminess to keep you fully engaged and highly entertained.
Sienna Snow has definitely become my go to author as well as the Street Kings have become my favorite series. After finishing the first book Dangerous King, I fell down the rabbit hole of these intense alpha males whose bond to one another was stronger than if they actually were true blooded brothers. What makes these books unique are the cast of culturally diverse male characters who through no fault of their own were placed in situations that caused them to do whatever they had to survive. In survival mode they made a choice that would change their futures they attempted to rob Arin King. Arin adopted the boys and became the patriarch of the King clan. He saw something in those young boys and helped to hone and mold them into what they are today. Good, bad, or indifferently dangerous these men exude power and sex appeal in total panty melting fashion. But wait did I mention that the female characters are just as diverse and cunning as their male counterparts? One theme that has become overrated is the damsel in distress whose mouth writes a check her ass can’t cash. This is not case for any of these females, in fact not only could they cash the check, but they can also add interest on the payment. Lilly and Reyhan’s story fills in perfectly. Lilly is the new and mysterious art appraiser at the Dayal-King gallery. Lilly is smart and beautiful but harboring a huge secret. Lilly has been in hiding and running from a past that she knows is going to catch up with her eventually. She tries to protect those around her by refusing to form attachments with people to prevent them from becoming collateral damage. Reyhan is an enigmatic figure playing in two worlds, the CIA and his family business. However, there was one CIA mission that he can’t let go. Not so much because of the fact that he was nearly killed but more because of the beautiful woman who not only betrayed him but was the one that pulled the trigger. He encounters Lilly in the gallery and there is an instant pull. There is something about her that has him more intrigued by her than what he should be. Then old scores, debts, and promises are due pulling Lilly and Reyhan right in the center. Will they be able settle up? Trust me you will enjoy reading every page to find out. So much so that you will have a hard time putting this book down. These books are all standalone but so, so, so much more enjoyable if read in order. No spoilers here but after finishing Deceptive Knight you will be primed and chomping at the bit for the next book Ruthless Heir. This is Sam and Devani’s book ! I CAN’T WAIT !!!
I received this advance read copy of this book in return for an honest review.
Deceptive Knight is Book 3 in The Street Kings interconnected series. Books can be read as stand-alone’s, but to get the most out of the series I would highly recommend reading books in order. With each book we are pulled deeper into the Kings world and there isn’t anything these men won’t do for the ones they love. Sienna continues to build the suspense behind how their world works and the players at the table. These characters are complicated. Their lives are messy and raw. This is a dark romance that takes us into a world where rules are meant to be broken. Rey and Lilly’s second chance is littered with lies, not all bad, but those you tell to protect the ones you love. Lilly’s walls are mountainous and all Rey wants is to tear them down. Their chemistry is scorching and they are so in tune to one another. Fate made it so there was no one else for either of them…or Rey just “dickmatized” Lilly… I mean who would complain either way?
Reyhan King had many faces, as does Lillian Lennox, their jobs required it to be so. We are immersed in the world of the CIA, Interpol, and the BND in this very intriguing tale. Told in dual first person narrative. We begin 8 months ago and travel to and from the past and present as we learn all about Rey and Lilly’s relationship.
Their affair should have never of began. They should have never fallen in love. Both undercover working their jobs it happened anyway. Then Lilly made a choice, one that destroyed them, but ultimately saved Rey. Then she disappeared.
Pawns in a larger game, unbeknownst to them, they find themselves face to face. Rey manipulates the situation to bring Lilly out of hiding. But, this just makes the plans of the people pulling the strings that much easier.
As they come together for a job, one that is supposed to right all of Lilly’s wrongs, what they had together all those months ago resurfaces and is stronger than ever.
He’s a King, but he’s also working for the government and goes by Shay Decker when he’s working. Rayhan King is a man that lives two lives to help his family. The tragic death of his parents left him on the streets where he met his foster brothers and a new family. His “brothers” are beginning to think he doesn’t remember who he is because he’s been working for the CIA for so long and going by his alias.
She’s a mafia princess but left her family to work for a clandestine organization when she was recruited in college. In order to keep her family safe, she decided to leave them and keep everyone guessing where she went and what she was doing. That organization has her undercover and her path with Shay Decker (Rayhan Knight) was an unforgettable path. Now she has to stay away from him after she shot him. It was either that or someone else would. Cora Hass (Lillian “Lilly” Lennox) has deceived a lot of people and now she has to answer for those actions.
I have loved the Knight Brothers since the first book. Rayhan is no exception. He’s ruthless, dangerous, sexy, and determined. However, his determination is not focused, and he’ll find himself back in Lilly’s trap if he’s not careful. A final case will bring these two back together as a final goodbye and closure for them, but they want to fight for their relationship. Will these two be able to fight and stay alive as well as together. I love this story and can’t wait to read Sam’s story. His relationship is just as complicated as his brothers’ relationships have been and it will be interesting to read his story. I give this book a 5-star review and highly suggest that you read these books from the beginning of the series. They’re great!
Great romance with loads of action! This was the first book of Ms. Snow's I have read and I loved every word of it. There was action right from the start and the action kept on. It was exciting and fast paced. These two, Rey and Lilly, had history but we got enough of the back story and conflict to set the scene. The story had many twists and turns and intrigue as our characters lied and operated under subterfuge that kept each other and the reader on their toes with where the story was heading. In amongst all this was a roller-coaster of a romance between Rey and Lilly, the chemistry between these two... so hot! Rey talking to Lilly's father towards the end of the book summed up their relationship perfectly “What would we call this, if not fate? Two children of allies met under different names, under false pretenses. Fell in love. Broke up. Dealt with some crazy sh*t meant to keep them apart and still ended up together. All the while, their fathers had intended for them to be together all the time.” It was over too soon, but the ending action pulled all the plot points together and was a satisfying conclusion, I would have happily sat with these characters for longer. I'll be heading back to the beginning of the series to read the rest of the books now I've had a taste for the kind of story Ms. Snow produces. I thoroughly recommend this!
Rehyan has spent years healing from being deceived by the love of his life. The woman he thought he’d marry, Lily.
But Lily isn’t what she seems. Stuck in a life of deception, killing, and consistent threats, she hurt the man she loved to protect him then vowed to never see him again.
Years later, Reyhan tracks Lily down and now he demands justice and revenge for what she did to him.
Forced to work with one another on a case, these two are unable to stay away from each other and as time goes on, it’s evident that their love has never diminished.
But their love has a clock to it and when time runs out, Lily will once again be forced to run away to save the man she loves.
This book is nothing but suspense and threats and uncovering layer upon layer or truths and lies. My heart bled for both of them. I constantly cheered them on and then was heartbroken when it looked like they would be ripped apart.
Sienna definitely knocked it out of the park with this book and it’s a must read novel!
Lilly and Rey continued the mystery and danger and questions and love with their addition to this series. Second chance lovers who may have never really been, depending on the truth to be told. But even Rey’s anger and feelings of betrayal can’t keep him from loving and wanting Lilly again. And her determination to keep him safe can’t stop her heart from still beating only for him.
We get some answers, a lot of danger, more questions, and a need for even more from their ride to forever. As expected, not only the men of this world are dangerous, and the women remain the most powerful pieces on the chessboard. Lilly and her family and friends are no exception to this, but when coupled with all that the King family can bring, they’re unstoppable. The nonstop action and love and heat made for one fantastic book and I was only upset when I hit the last page because it was the last darn page. I look forward to the next book because I have a feeling we’re in for quite the rollercoaster when the two I’m thinking will be the center of the tale finally give into their attraction.
The irony!!! or maybe it was just Karma's way of saying Hi I about dropped my kindle when the devious plan a certain someone set in motion came to light
Reyhan and Lilly have a turbulent history (that is putting it kindly) These two are level 5 combustible when in the proximity of each other - The past has left them both with some unresolved "issues" (I laugh as I write this as it is such an understatement when describing them) Now, years later they find themselves having to trust the other if they want to live to see another day
Action 🎬 Adventure 🃏 Betrayals ♟ Twists and Suspense 🎲 Smexy moments ☄ This has it all!
You need to read this series in order to understand who is who and what's going on in the background It is such a wonderfully diverse cast that brings the action to life and draws the reader in I found myself flinching, looking away (only to realize I had to look back to find out what happens), wanting to peek ahead to ensure everyone survived (I didn't but the struggle was real) And don't even get me started on the chemistry between Rey and Lilly Holy Hades
This is one of the better organized crime series IMO Well written storylines that interconnect A diverse cast of characters that are easy to connect with
I've read a few Sienna Snow books before and I've always come away with the story and the characters staying with me for a while later, and this book is no exception!!!
Deceptive knight is a second chance, dark and sexy romance story that follows Reyhan and Lilly. It is part of a series and I haven't read any of the previous in this series but I will be doing after reading this one that's for sure, even though they can be read as standalones I'm definitely gonna be reading more about the King Family.
Lilly is a strong kick ass female lead and boy did I fall in love with her from the get go!!! Reyhan is a sex god let me tell you!! Oooft is all I can say he's so in love with Lilly he'll do anything for her and yes he's sexy and hot but he's also cute and that for me makes him such a wonderful character.
The story was action packed from the start and never let up. It has drama, tension, steam and suspense. I urge you to go buy this book and all the ones in the series so far too as that's what I'm gonna do right now!!!
This is the third book in the Street Kings series and once again readers will feel the burn as the author has delivered another fantastic read. It can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the books in order. Lilly is a woman on a mission who is linked to a group that is not willing to let her go. Ray is a man who is not one to be trifled with. From the first time Lilly and Rey were together, they were fire but life had other ideas for these two until their worlds collided again. Rey knows he wants Lilly but she is not going to make things easy as she is living with her own secrets. Will these two be able to rekindle what they once had and get their second chance? Overall, this is one action packed, drama filled storyline filled with a love that can transcend any obstacle. Ms. Snow’s writing style just pulls the reader in from the beginning and just does not let go. I recommend this book and the rest of the series.
HOLY EXCITING HELL! Deceptive Knight started out with a bang & only speeded up from there. Lilly's life isn't her own, so when she ended up getting distracted by Reyhan, and the people she answered to put her in a terrible position. She goes to ground after it all played out, and it took Reyhan to find her again. See, their last meeting didn't go well, and he's still enraged at her which is why he blackmailed her into coming to NY to keep an eye on her. There's so much going on in this book that the twists are coming out of the woodwork as Lilly's hiding some pretty big things that Rey is trying to uncover. Instead of clueing him in to it all, she keeps telling him that they don't have a future together because of her life. See, Rey changed his tune while she was near him as the sparks they had are still flying so can he get through to her to give them a shot at a future together?! You know what to do to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Deceptive Knight (Street Kings #3) by Sienna Snow is the next brother's story Rey. Initially when I started this book I was extremely confused who this book was about. Heck I thought I was reading the wrong book till it finally dawned on me who the characters were. Because this brother was hardly mentioned in the other books or he just didn't make an impression on me, this was why I was so confused. Than when it dawned on me that Lilly was part of Rey's story I was truly interested. Rey and Lilly's story was so good. Their love / hate relationship was something else. The secrets, the intrigue, the lies and the surprises had me going. I guess that what happens in the spy business. The sexual tension between the two was hot hot hot. And as always I really enjoy the brothers and the significant others. Learning more about Lilly and Rey along with catching up on the others was a bonus. The set up to Sam and Devani have me chomping at the bit for the next and I suppose will probably be the last book. The ending to Rey and Lilly's journey had me clutching the pearls and I was pleasantly surprised at their happily ever after. The way this story started for me, it had me worried but just hold on and enjoy the ride. I am so sorry to see this series come to an end. 4 star read for me.
I am a huge fan of Sienna Snow books, so as soon as I got my hands on Deceptive Knight, I dived in instantly and OMG it was an amazing read. Lily and Rey were just .. wow ( words are literally failing me right now lol ) when you start this book, you will think, how are these two going to get together, there is a lot of tension between, a lot of secrets and so much angst. But I shouldn't even have wondered how, because Sienna Snow always writes a story that both keeps you glued to the page and surprised. Lily and Rey chemistry was just off the charts and their romance will make you feel like your on a rollercoaster, but trust me when I saw every moment of this ride is worth as you will be glued to the page. However beside the romance in this book, the overall story was so intriguing right when you think you know what is going, the book literally says "HA, Gurl you thought, try again". Deceptive Knight was a fantastic read, easily one of my favorite reads this year so far. Go pick up this Sexy, Thrilling, Addicting read asap.
Absolutely loved this second chance, dark romance from Sienna Snow. A fantastic hero and heroine with steamy chemistry in Rey and Lily. Rey has been hurt by what he sees as Lily’s betrayal – well I suppose she did shoot him but hey he survived didn’t he? And they say women can hold grudges!!! Since she was eighteen everything Lily has done , usually under duress, has been to protect the people she loves and keep them safe including Rey. For someone so strong I love the hint of vulnerability she still has. The non stop action involves secret agencies and spies and has twists and turns galore as Rey and Lily fight to survive long enough to have a future together.
This was my first book by Sienna Snow and even though Deceptive Knight is the third book in the Street Kings series I don’t feel it spoilt my read any by not having read the first two books. If anything I’m glad I’ve got more to read before the fourth book releases.
I flipping love this series and ‘Deceptive Knight’ was even better than I imagined! With every book this series continues to get better and better!
Lilly and Rey are phenomenal characters. They are both strong, they fight for what they want, and they’ll stop at nothing to protect the people that they love. It was so comical to me that they both wanted to keep each other safe, but were trying so hard to keep the other out of the loop on why they were doing what they were doing, especially Lilly.
The twists and turns in the story kept me on the edge of my seat, and I couldn’t put it down! I loved getting to catch up with the rest of the King Family and I am dying for Sam’s story. Absolutely fantastic addition to the Street Kings series.
