One of the things that B.J. Frazier does so well with their stories is establish characters as people with pasts, people who've grown and evolved, and who you can believe have a life outside the story. Such is the case with Belinda, the protagonist of The Lesson, who we're introduced to in flashbacks that show her finding her way in kink.
Those first two encounters are brief affairs, one in an airport bathroom, requiring nothing more than verbal dominance and physical control, and the other in a hotel room, involving improvisational BDSM with repurposed household items. The scenes establish history, personality, and kink evolution, all of which make the story's main classroom encounter feel both natural and authentic.
While there is a soft sort of taboo nature to the teacher/student dynamic, with just the right amount of risk, the story is careful to establish maturity and consent, while avoiding any deep moral conflicts. The encounter itself is wonderfully plotted, with a fantastic shift in the nature of the tension and the source of the associated fears as surprises are revealed that illuminate who Derek is and what motivates Belinda.
Frazier takes us from gasping to cheering, entertaining and arousing us along the way, as we learn not just a lesson but The Lesson.

Belinda is just as dangerous as an actual cougar. The intelligence she displays while cornering her "victims" is something to behold. Not a single one of her targets realized they were her prey long before they took note of her.
The sheer power and control Belinda exudes in this story is captivating and enthralling. I couldn't help but wish I was in the place of her subs, having this woman control every facet of the encounter.
As with all her works, BJ Frazier's writing style and story building is phenomenal, and oozes sexual femdom energy at every instance.
Belinda's no nonsense approach to femdom is exciting, enticing, and arousing. I don't usually read books over, but The Lesson demands more study time.

“The Lesson” delves into a topic that almost all of us have flirted with before - the teacher/student relationship. The wonderfully unique structure of such a relationship comes pre-cast with a Dominant/submissive overtone. B.J. artfully builds upon that foundation to take her story in an unexpected direction. Along the way, true to her style, she takes the reader through various scenes that are certain to spark the imagination and redden the cheeks of even the most voracious of consumers of this brand of literature. Which is a fancy way of saying, “it’s HOT!”

When asked if I enjoyed reading this story, my answer will be “mmm hmm” 😊
In this novel, I really enjoy the build-up at the beginning where Miss Frazier depicts Miss B's journey.
But what would a Dominant be without an interesting submissive...and this is where the author's touch really shines: there are two protagonists in the story and they both have an equal role in the story with a developed background.
Of course Miss B. is the teacher and it is through Her point of view that the story is told and it must be my submissive nature that makes me feel for D. and also makes me want to be in his place receiving Her teaching.
The twist at the end delighted me as much as it surprised me.
In less words : if you're into femdom, this novel is a must read.

An amazing story in which you are immersed in Miss B's universe and leaves you completely in love and excited from start to finish, every character she hooks, you imagine yourself in his skin, thank you BJ Frazier.

Honestly - I haven't had this book on my list for a long time, which was a great mistake. B.J. Frazier tells us about Belinda (Miss B.), an english teacher - and what a hot special kind of teacher. The actual story takes place in a single day, but it wouldn't be a B.J. Frazier book if we weren't able to find out the protagonist's development and backstory. That alone is a hot must-read for every reader who's into Femdom. But back to that one hot day. Miss B. knows exactly how to wrap Her prey around her finger. This tension built-up is absolutely fantastic and her prey doesn't have the slightest chance of escaping. The climax that follows is exceptionally hot. It's no wonder that I quickly found a character that I found immediately related to - hang on: Just one? The end of the book was completely unexpected - at least for me, but I loved it. B.J. Frazier took me on another dream journey. Was it a mistake to wait so long to read this book? Oh yes, it was! Or should I better say: Mmmm hmmm.

Another very interesting story. Another,I can’t put it done.the cat and mouse to start then the hunt was on! Very interesting , the male character had no idea he was the prey, young narcissist, truly learned what life was really about. Loved the ending,which I will not divulge. Never ever would have suspected the ending, bravo once again to the author
