One Night of Sin is book one in the After Hours series by Elle Kennedy. Gosh, I love Elle Kennedy’s books. I’ve had this on my e-reader for awhile and just hadn’t gotten to it. I finally decided to grab it and my oh my, it was fantastic.
Skyler Thompson is a good girl, a boring good girl. She is working to get her psychology masters degree and working at a restaurant. That doesn’t leave much time for a social life. Skyler is on a disaster of a date at an exclusive nightclub in Boston called, Sin, the first time she laid eyes on him. She couldn’t tear her eyes away. Later, when they accidentally run in to each other in the alley, Skyler knows she wants him. Could she shed her good girl persona and have just one hot night with this stranger? She’s sure one night will be enough, won’t it?
Gage Holt doesn’t do relationships. He has a dark past and has learned to bottle up his emotions. He and his two partners own the club Sin and Gage is in charge of security. That’s how he first saw her, while standing up above the club looking over everything. But, Gage is dark inside. And Skyler isn’t. She exudes light. But if he let her be around him, it wouldn’t take long for his darkness to snuff out her light. He can’t let that happen.
What starts out as a benefits only arrangement between Gage and Skyler quickly grows into more. Gage has a past, one he has tried to keep Skyler away from. But just like everything else she does, she just bulldozes her way right in.
I loved this story. Gage and all his broodiness was perfection. And Skyler, She was just perfect for him. At the same time as they are still finding their way into their relationship, part of Gage’s dark world intrudes. Elle’s books are sexy as heck but her characters are also so easy to love. This is a short book, a quick read. I most definitely want to continue on with the series with book two, One Night of Scandal, which will be Gage’s partner Reed’s story. I can’t wait.

3.5-4 Sinfully dirty talking Stars

If you're at all familiar with Elle Kennedy's writing then you know that the woman can write some fucking HAWT books. And One Night of Sin? Sweet baby jebus! This book needs to come with a warning...and I mean A WARNING!
*Book may cause sporadic ovary CUMbustion
*Make sure you stock up on batteries or have your significant other on hand
*Gage and his dirty mouth may give you a hot flash...or 30
*Thinking about Gage and his dirty mouth may also make you impatient to wait if significant other isn't on hand at the moment
Oh...there's also a story somewhere in there. I swears! If I can only remember what that is now. Ahh yes, it's all coming back to me now.
We have Gage Holt a former MMA fighter and current part owner of a club, and a verra bad boy. As far as first meetings go? He's got that part covered...
Be reasonable, what woman can resist THAT? Certainly not Skyler Thompson, a good girl that's always played it safe when it came to sex. So when on a bad date while at club Sin, she catches the eye of the sinfully sexy and tatted up Cage? Let's just say she know exactly what she wants...and she really makes no qualms about going after it.
But luckily she's forward without coming off as desperate or brash, which is typically my kryptonite with heroines.
The set up is not really unlike anything I've ever read before. Bad boy meets good girl. Boy isn't looking for a commitment because he's not "fit" to be in one. Boy and girl agree to some no string sex.
And since your offer sounds so tempting, Cage...
As far as the plot goes, it's entertaining and the book reads very quick. Well...give or take a few "breaks". Uhem.
I loved the set up for the 3 partners, all of who are former MMA fighters. This definitely was a hot little book in what looks to be a very promising and sinfully delicious series.
Did I also mention the hot sex?
But don't worry, it's not just smut and zero story. If you're looking for a scorching hot book with a dirty talking MMA fighter and a good girl gone bad? Looks like you've got your next read here ;)

FOUR FIGHTER STARS.
"sometimes it's good to be bad ..."
This book was everything I was hoping it would be an more. I enjoyed every page of this sexy romance story and with the added bonus of a great story, sexy hero and bad girl turned bad I happily found myself wrapped up in the perfect brazen novel to escape into. Elle Kennedy is a 'new to me' author with whom I've only heard great things about and if this start to a series is anything to go by then the reports I have heard can only be true. Straight into the action this short story went from hot to scorching and it also had some heart felt moments and a little suspense too. If you have some reading time to spare and you can't resist a rough and ready hero then I'm sure this pint sized novel will be hitting the enjoyment bullseye for you, as for me I'm happily adding another treat to my brazen addiction list.
Combine a former mixed martial arts fighter with a good girl who wants to turn bad and you've got yourself one tempting erotic romance story that will have you turning pages like an addict gone mad. In additon there is also some winning themes included in this book which I'm sure most readers will appreciate including: sizzling attraction, a small amount of suspense, one grab him by the balls heroine, an irresistible tortured hero, plenty of seductive dirty talking, steamy love making and a wonderfully fabulous heartwarming finish. All in all this book won me over and I'm predicting that it will be a crowd pleaser for all those who decide to start this book. 'One night of sin' isn't going to be winning any awards for outstanding contribution but it certainly is a prize winner in my eyes and to the author thank you for providing entertainment which delivers a hero by the name of Gage Holt, yes his character is just as sexy as his name.

I love it when an author takes me by surprise and I don't mind admitting that I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. Elle Kennedy is an author to look out for and I can assure you that if you are looking for a short, sexy, erotic novel then you are looking in the right place. Be warned this book may lead to a compulsion to get down and dirty so partners, husbands, battery operated objects beware. Enjoy ... Kisses.

4.5--Sometimes It's DEFINITELY Good to Be Bad--Stars!!
This is what I like to call the perfect smut-fluff read. It's low on angst and drama and high on the smut! It was fun, it was entertaining and I devoured it.
Skylar and Gage were both great MCs. I especially loved Skylar.
Skylar has always been the "good-girl". She doesn't do one-night stands. She's only had a few boyfriends. She spends most of her time studying and working.
Skylar meets Gage while out at club Sin and immediately....
Gage was definitely the bad to Skylar's good. A former MMA fighter, Gage is now part owner of Sin. He doesn't do relationships. He has nothing to give beyond sex. Gage was dirty, delicious and downright HOT!!!!
Skylar and Gage agree to a sex only "relationship"...I mean, who wouldn't?!?!
The sex in this book was off the charts HOT.
You can predict where things with the story will go. It's never "just sex". Feeling always get involved. But how will Gage and Skylar handle those feelings?
I had a few unanswered questions at the end but I am guessing maybe they will be resolved in the other books in the series--which I assume are about the other owners of Sin.

Just turn off your brain for this one.
Pick it up if you happen to be collecting clichés, though. Cause this book is full of em. Lol.
This is your typical storyline about two main characters striking up a deal to have sex and JUST sex then two pages later, fall in love...😂 💀
We have the "very brave but innocent" heroine.
And the
"bad boy, fighter hero who is emotionally unavailable."
Feel free to roll your eyes, cause we've seen this before...
Despite earlier hesitations, the hero ends up opening up to her and they live happily ever after...
Nothing interesting happened.
Nothing that tickled my fancy, although there was some hot parts, but nothing that surprised me.

Hell, no!
These two are a match whether he wants it or not and we get to watch it all happen. Bonus... He is a huge dirty talker and she eats it right up.

4 sinfully sexual stars
Skylar is you proverbial "goody-goody" whose looking to be bad, but she has so much more going for her; the no-nonsense attitude and her confidence.
Gage Holt, is more than the muscle behind Sin, the club which he and his buddies opened after their "retirement" in the fighting world. He is supposed to be an ex-fighter, but his brother got him tied to a contract to fight to pay off his debt. He doesn't need any distractions, and Skylar is one of the sexiest-enticing distraction he's ever seen.
One Night of Sin is a perfect in between read with enough substance, sass, sex and hotness. There are no major plot twists or anything to make your head hurt, but it is something you can enjoy and know exactly what you are going to get. Even though it is a novella, it was still enough to get to know and connect with Skylar and Gage. Forming a bond with the rest of the characters enough to want to read their book should it ever be written. Recommended for sure!

Just sex. Thats all it was suppose to be between Skyler and Gage. Yeah i think we all know how that will work out!!
This was such a cute steamy book and it suited my mood perfectly. The hero was a dirty talker, the heroine was funny and confident, loved the side characters. The end was a bit meh but overall really liked it despite it being predictable.
Fun banter, great characters, scorching hot, fast paced short story. A great in between book.

Skylar is normally a good girl. But one night at Sin Club she sees Gage and for the first time in her life she decides to be bad. She decides to be bold and goes after him.
And Gage, who is normally a bad boy, decides to be good and thinks that Skylar is too good for him and deserves someone better. (The usual, so.)
Well, things eventually happen (or we wouldn’t have a story) and things start to evolve between them. And now Gage have to decide between to big fights: is he going to fight against his past and claim Skylar… or is he going to fight against his feelings?
Rating: 4 Stars.
Storyline: A sweet and steamy romance that grabbed me from page one. The problem? Too short. If it had been longer and more developed it could have been an amazing book. Now it’s just a pretty good one.
Writing Style: Third person. Dual POV.
Character Development: Skylar was sweet and I liked how she didn’t back down. Gage was also nice and sexy. I liked him a lot too. I can’t wait to read Reed’s story. I loved him!
Steam: Hot.

Gage Holt, 30, comes with some baggage, trust issues, and a shady character he's indebted to, so he doesn't want Skyler Thompson, 24, to get any wrong ideas. This will not be a relationship--it's just going to be about sex. Gage has his reasons for not letting Sky in, doesn't think he has anything of himself to give but Sky thinks she can overcome any reluctance Gage has about himself and taking things further.
These two had some smokin' hot chemistry, and Ms. Kennedy can write a dirty talkin' hero with the best of them...

I loved Gage and Sky as a couple, loved the hot way (whew, that alley scene!) they met and how Sky stepped out of her comfort zone and went for the 'bad boy' instead of her usual safe and predictable. Loved the way that Gage finally fell for Skyler and needed her emotionally. Of course he tried the old "I'm no good for you" trick but you knew he wouldn't last long without Sky.
This story was tightly paced and I appreciated that. Not everyone can write a hot novella (that's not just about sex) while also letting you get to know and root for the characters but Ms. Kennedy is an expert at that. There was equal parts steam and story, and I really believed these two as a couple.
Gage has two business partners who were also MMA fighters so I'm hoping we get to see stories for them (and also catch up with Sky and Gage). There's definitely something brewing between Gage's partner Reed and his other partner's (AJ) girlfriend...

I loved Gage and Sky as a couple, loved the hot way (whew, that alley scene!) they met and how Sky stepped out of her comfort zone and went for the 'bad boy' instead of her usual safe and predictable. Loved the way that Gage finally fell for Skyler and needed her emotionally. Of course he tried the old "I'm no good for you" trick but you knew he wouldn't last long without Sky.
This story was tightly paced and I appreciated that. Not everyone can write a hot novella (that's not just about sex) while also letting you get to know and root for the characters but Ms. Kennedy is an expert at that. There was equal parts steam and story, and I really believed these two as a couple.
Gage has two business partners who were also MMA fighters so I'm hoping we get to see stories for them (and also catch up with Sky and Gage). There's definitely something brewing between Gage's partner Reed and his other partner's (AJ) girlfriend...

4 Entertaining Stars
I really enjoyed this one. I've read many Elle Kennedy books and have always loved her ability to cram a lot of story into a novella. Her stories also lean towards the hot as hell side and for that she'll have my ever loving gratitude.
I'm keeping this short and sweet given the fact I'm on my kindle and auto correct is not my friend. I'll just say I really loved Skyler. It's refreshing to read about a heroine who's not bitchy, whiney or weak. And even though Gage was a bad ass fighter/club owner, his gushy center was evident as well. I loved these two together and I already have Reed and Darcy's story ready to roll.

Gage is a former MMA fighter. He is part owner at a club where he is head of security. Skyler is a good girl so she doesn’t do one night stands. School and working kept her busy, so she didn’t have many boyfriends, but she wants to have some fun.
Gage and Skyler meet at Sin, Gage’s club when Skyler has a bad date. They are drown from each other from the start. At first, Gage has some reservation, because Skyler seems the girl who wants a relationship and he doesn’t do commitment and also, he has some baggage.
In the end they agree to some no strings sex…
"You say the filthiest things," she moaned.

…but soon things are changing between them.
Even if is a little predictable, I really enjoyed this one. Hot sex, a great heroine and a hero with a dirty mouth. Who needs more? I really liked Skyler character. She knows what she wants, she is funny, mature and strong. I also enjoyed Gage. He was yummy!!!
Low on angst and drama with the perfect amount of smut, with fun banter and lovable characters One Night Of Sin was a really great read.
Can’t wait for the next book in the series One Night Of Scandal, Reed and Darcy’s book.

4.5 Fighting for Love Stars!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this scorching hot novella!! I loved both the H&h Gage & Skyler along with the secondary characters.
Gage is an 30 yr old sexy, dirty talking, ex MMA fighter, and current partner in a successful club "Sin". He has baggage from his troubled childhood, which is still following him. He has trouble trusting, seeking help, and opening up on a personal and romantic level.....until Skyler.
Skyler is a part-time waitress and Psychology student who is a "good girl", while on a date with an arrogant idiot at Sin, she spots Gage and is instantly in lust with him and decides to take a walk on the wild side.
Gage does all he can to chase her away after one hot make out session, he knows she's a good girl therefore totally off limits. But Skyler isn't done, she has yet to get what she wants from Gage and refuses to take no for an answer!
I loved Skyler's character. It was fun to see her take charge, see her confidence bloom and eventually overcome the barriers Gage has built around himself.
We get an HEA, but it ended rather abruptly. I would have liked a small epilogue, had we had one it would have been a 5 star read for me. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Nice easy read. Gage a former MMA fighter, now part-owner of a nightclub, meets a girl down an alley one night and is drawn to her innocent aura and sexy body.
Skylar is a good girl but wants to do something she's never done before and when she meets Gage she knows he's the man for the job. She knows what she wants and she is determined to get it.
There was a nice little plot involving his brothers past misdemeanors and him having to help him out of a tight spot whereby Gage needs to go back to fighting in order to save his arse.

The book really is a perfect mix of dark and light, their banter at points has you giggling, but then on the flip side, some of the aspects of Gage’s life, and the consequences of the actions of others had me sniffling into a tissue.
I loved Gage, dirty, dirty man that he is. The perfect amount of sweetness with that talented mouth has you fanning yourself whilst reading, and boy he can certainly get those juices flowing!

You will fall in love with this couple, I certainly did. And although each of them has their own personal demons that they are dealing with, nothing is overplayed or dragged out. The development of their relationship and the story as a whole is perfectly paced. The inclusion of secondary characters and long-term plot points keeps interest piqued and the intrigue fizzing in the background all the way through. I cannot wait for more books in this series Elle Kennedy has provided an extremely sexy and solid start, and I am looking forward to seeing where she takes us with it in the future.

I really enjoyed this spicy novella and it made me laugh throughout.
It was fun spending time with Skyler and Gage, and when I finished this one I had a big ol' smile on my face. It was short, sweet, sexy, and satisfying - aww yeah, bring on the alliteration...
Sure, I would have been more than happy to have a longer story about these two because I liked them so much and because, hello, hot. And yes, one of the main conflicts is wrapped up rather easily but it still worked for me. I didn't go into this with high expectations so I was pleasantly surprised with what I got.
I wanted these two to work it all out and be happy and when I was finished, I believed they would be.
So now I'm looking forward to reading the next two books in this series.

A little predictable, but a whole lot of fun. This book is sexy as hell and had me chuckling quite a few times as well.

There's a difference between being curious and being nosy. I don't think the chick got the memo and straight up landed in the latter category. God, was she invasive as hell?! Annoying heroines are one of the things I don't like. But this was a sexy, short read to remedy my reader's block and it worked.

Super short review coming your way! Well, shorter than my usual review length. This book is quite short, so it is only fitting! I really, really enjoyed this book. I've not read anything by Elle Kennedy before (though I know she has a very popular New Adult series published - The Deal?), but I'm really happy with the first book I've read by her! This one was AMAZING!
Skyler and Gage meet in a nightclub, a nightclub that Gage owns in part. One steamy interaction leads to another, and the two of them can't keep their hands off each other. Skyler wants to keep seeing Gage, but Gage doesn't think it will work. With his dangerous past haunting him, he knows he should keep Skyler far away. But neither of them are prepared to let each other go.
This book is definitely one of my favorite Brazen books I've read. It's only a novella (sadness!), but it's one of the hottest ones I've read, with a sweet and steamy story, and likable characters. Skyler and Gage lock eyes and fall in lust, which sounds pretty typical for your average romance story. But I love how much chemistry these two have together, how they lose control, make each other crazy (in various ways), and grow to care for one another.
Skyler is a sweetie! I really could relate to her, because I feel like she and I are very similar. She isn't some sex goddess or a girl who talks dirty, but she knows what she wants and goes after it. Or, in this case, him. Gage is the silent, brooding type. He works hard at his nightclub, as well as to take care of his little brother's problems (which are pretty serious). Gage doesn't want to get close to anyone, but Skyler is persistent in a non-clingy way, and he started caring about her pretty quickly.
Bottom line - I loved the steaminess of this novel (the chemistry is off the charts), and I also loved the relationship development and growth. I really like Skyler, and I really like Gage, and I really like the two of them together. I wish this novel were longer because I LOVED the explosive chemistry and sweet relationship these two have! But it was a great novella as it was.
What I Did Not Like:
Like I said, longer! This isn't quite a complaint, because the story is perfect at its length, and isn't underdeveloped or anything. This is just me wanting more banter and steamy scenes from Skyler and Gage.
Would I Recommend It:
Of all the Brazen I've read, this one is probably the one I'd recommend the most! Also anything by Tessa Bailey. Also Down for the Count. But guys - this book! It was really good! I definitely need to read more Elle Kennedy - it would seem that all of her books promise steamy sizzling chemistry and great HEAs!

It is renowned for attracting a wild crowd, and whilst Gage and his partners are benefitting financially, they are "intimidating as f**k", earning them the respect and easy ability to keep everything in order.
Skyler Thompson is a good girl. Never par taken in a one night stand, but when she sets eyes on Gage, all innocent thoughts were cast aside.
Gage was the furthest thing from her type, but her attraction to him was immense. She wanted to know him; she wanted to feel him; she just wanted him.
I thoroughly enjoyed this sinful story. Skyler wove her way into Gage's life enjoying the hot and heavy "sex only" relationship he could promise at that time. Their chemistry was flaming, fuelled majorly by Gage's divinely dirty mouth.
The story moved on, including appearances by his partners, hopefully promising future storylines.

I fell totally under Gage's spell; the tattooed, nightclub-owning ex-MMA fighter may be a little rough around the edges, but he doesn't stand a chance when a pretty younger lady can't take her eyes off him in his club. He's not particularly a talker, but when he does, well it's more than worth it. And with her confident, no-nonsense attitude and huge heart, Skyler is heroine to adore. She wants this man, she is determined to have him even if it is a no-strings deal and it's one battle Gage is likely to lose...earth-shatteringly.

This wasn't anything mindblowingly unique or awe-inspiring, but what it was was short, sweet, and steamy. One Night of Sin didn't try to be too much. This made it a story that was both simple and concise, and exactly what I was in the mood for.
We have "good-girl" psychology student Skyler and bad-ass ex MMA fighter, club-owner Gage. The chemistry between the two is off-the-charts, and what begins as a convenient sex-only arrangement quickly morphs into more. This is low-angst, heavy-smut, and overall fantastic.
There was a Harry Potter reference, some guy who mockingly calls Gage "white-boy", and plenty of profanity. This book checked all my boxes, I hereby give it my stamp of approval, BAM.

Wow! Talk about hot and steamy! I wasn't expecting that. The plot was more about "I want you" and having sex than anything else. Now here comes the big but...I liked it a lot more than I typically would.
Skylar is considered by others to be a "good girl" and Gage is considered to be a womanizer. He has nothing but one-night stands; she's never had a one-night stand. BUT the minute she sees hot, good- looking (guess that's an understatement), Gage who exudes sex appeal Skylar is all over it! She wants one of those one nighters, she wants it with Gage, and she wants it now!
Yeah, I will blush if I have to write much more about those two, but I love the play on words the title is, because SIN is the name of the bar/nightclub that Gage is part owner in. And if you consider Skylar's one night of sin, think again because it turns into many nights of sin! LOL

Auto buy, one of my fave authors Elle Kennedy. Commitment issues abound for ex-MMA fighter Gage Holt, but he's finally met his match with Skyler. The usual hot stuff ensues under the Brazen/Entangled Banner. Nice steamy quickie!
