A book for children of all ages...younger ones can guess the animal names, slightly older can enjoy hearing the text or help read it...slightly older and after reading it themselves they can work on a project to find where each city in the world is on a map or globe. Exploring the fact that non-human animals and human animals share the same world and that we often share the very same territory is an important idea for children and adults to think about in our efforts to keep the world the best it can be. A fun twist on this book, would be to have a child cover the the name of the city to see if you can guess it just be looking at the drawings of the iconic buildings or animals.

A beautifully illustrated book about some significant cities of the world and the creatures that call them home. Lovely context and variety that includes Singapore! A lively collection of animals and places, vibrantly drawn and colourfully illustrated. Great to ponder over with that well travelled Great Aunt or new neighbour from elsewhere. Great family gift for multi ages too.

🌆 Wild Cities – A Delightful Urban Safari 🐾

I've just finished reading Wild Cities by Ben Lerwill, and I must say, it's an absolute treat! This book charmingly unveils the surprising world of urban wildlife, revealing how nature gracefully co-exists alongside our bustling cityscapes. The engaging narrative and whimsical illustrations bring to life the hidden stories of animals that call our cities home 🏙️🌱.

What truly struck me is how this book effortlessly teaches children the importance of living harmoniously with nature—and how we, as a community, can lend a helping hand to support our urban wildlife. Its friendly approach makes it a brilliant resource for both young readers and the young at heart, inspiring a respect for nature right here in our everyday surroundings 🌳💖.

I wholeheartedly believe Wild Cities is a brilliant read—a sparkling reminder that even in the heart of concrete jungles, nature finds a way to thrive. Five stars for sparking wonder, care, and a deeper connection with the natural world! 😊📚✨
