The first disappointment is like getting the first scratch on a new car - it looms as a big deal. But eventually you learn that even with multiple nicks and scratches you can still go places.
The Philippines is like Cleveland, only different.
...people who take a long, meandering journey to faith and who object to the slightest hint of pushiness.
On evangelism: Instead of shaking the dust off our feet and moving on, we sought to establish good relationships and authentic friendships.
Written with wisdom, insight and deep reflection. This is not a flashy pamphlet glorifying overseas missions. However, it does communicate the faithfulness of God over the long term and the work He did in and through the local culture and those who were called to participate from the outside.
