Engaging Sam

Rate this book
UNDERCOVER...AND UNDRESSED!

At first Audra McPherson didn't recognize the man who burst into her moonlit bedroom. She'd never seen her reclusive neighbor so close, or so ...naked. Strapping, sexy Sam Tucker was hardly the quiet businessman she'd imagined. He was actually a cop, and his cover would be blown--unless she posed as his fiancee..

Audra had catered enough weddings to know that smitten couples couldn't keep their hands off each other. But did Sam have to make their "engagement" so realistic? His passionate kisses almost had her believing they were destined for wedded bliss ....

Weaver was born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. She has a degree in English literature. After her youngest child entered school in 1989 she began writing in the hopes that she could build a career that would allow her to work from home. None of her first eight manuscripts sold, but in July 1993 her ninth, True Blue, was purchased by Silhouette Books.

Generally Weaver writes two to three novels per year, taking up to five months to finish each work. The novels are most often classified as romantic suspense, and the protagonists are put into life-or-death situations in order more clearly reveal their true characters and feelings. In many of her novels, the hero is either connected to law enforcement or the military. Weaver also enjoys including animals in her stories "because they're usually excellent judges of character."

Weaver was awarded a Romance Writers of America RITA Award in 1998 for Best Romantic Suspense for her novel On the Way to a Wedding.[3] She is also a recipient of the Romantic Times Career Achievement Award.

Engaging Sam was thoroughly engaging and had a very good start, the hero Sam dropping in naked in the middle of the night in Audra's bedroom and well Audra finds out he's no nerd, but an undercover cop who seems to make her feel tingly, but well when the police comes she thinks that's the end of it, she will continue working for her family's catering company while saving up to open her own restaurant, being independent and never putting her heart on the line again, but wrong.

The guy Sam has been investigating co-incidentally has a link to Audra, her family is catering his daughter's wedding, so Sam enlists Audra to get in as her fake fiancee and along the way play-acting for her family and everyone comes close to becoming a reality with the chemistry between them almost blowing up.

I enjoyed Sam, he had no reference for family and love while Audra had, had it all along but the death of her fiancee forced her into some kind of a shell which Sam helped her out of. She tries to deny what is happening between them with lust and more while Sam with guilt and responsibility.

A book with likable characters.

Bueno para pasar el rato... entretiene algo!!

En plena noche
Protagonistas: Sam Tucker y Audra McPherson

Argumento:
