There is always something special when reading about heroines or heroes that are more than less the perfect, especially when dealing with someone who has some disability. In the case of A Prince for Jenny, Webb could have done something great, but instead made the story too perfect from the start and too short (under 300 pages and for the Loveswept line that only fits short stories.)

There just wasn't enough of a plot written for it really to matter. Jenny is mentally disabled but is this perfect painter with such loving family and friends. One can believe about the loving people in her life, but her being this prodigy painter for the famous and elite is too fantasy to be true!! And the hero falling for her so quickly is too hard to be believable. The first few pages, Webb shows the hero, Daniel as brooding and being a hard man, spurned by the witchy ex-wife. Then by some feat of a miracle by meeting Jenny, he changes to an over loving and optimistic individual, a 180 to be exact.

Everything happened so fast, from the hero falling in love to the courting, to the marriage. Jenny was considered practically perfect except for her mental capacity.

Maybe if the story was expanded a bit more, and more realistic, it could have been a gem. Instead the reader rolls their eyes and wishes for the writer to give the audience a little more credit.

So close to giving us something worth reading, but not quite yet!

The book was too sugary sweet and corny sometimes but well since I had read the parent's book I wanted to read this one. Jenny the heroine, is 34, a famous artist and has Down's syndrome. She has been sheltered all her life. The hero is a businessman and a single father, who has burned by his ex, his father and is quite cynical but we are shown how Jenny melts him and he quickly falls for her but tries to resist it. Things move fast in the book, the marriage proposal, the custody issues, the self-doubt, the gossip that was bound to ensue because of the heroine. I am rating the book higher because it was different.

Jenny's own story is the topic of this sequel to Touched by Angels. Though Jenny was born "special", meaning challenged in speech/language and gross motor skills, she is adept with a paintbrush and charcoal, and is now earning an independent income through her portraiture. Physically, she is as beautiful as her mother Sarah was in the original story. Her determination to be who she is, and to use the talents God has given her, adds a soothing spiritual element to her character. She experiences emotional ups and downs very similar to those experienced by her mother, though she was too young to realize and compare these situations to her own in adult life. If I were to question one character's development in this sequel, it would be that of her mother Sarah, who plays nearly an invisible role. I enjoyed both books, and am amazed at the productivity of this author.

another lovely, gentle romance by peggy webb. i bought this because it's a sequel to TOUCHED BY ANGELS, and this books has the special-needs child from the first book as the heroine, 30 years later, in this book. perhaps it is a "little" improbable that a millionaire would find a woman who many think is "retarded" as the love of his life, but their story is beautiful and the way the heroine is drawn is poignant as she insists being treated like any other woman in the hero's life. another keeper.

One of the rare books that brought tears to my eyes with the beauty of the story and characters. I cried not because it was sad or had a tragic ending but because it was beautiful. You could really see true and pure love in between the pages of this book. That's why I'll be looking for the first book and read it too!!

Fabulous story about a "special" woman, Jenny. I have a soft spot for this story because my little sister has Down's Syndrome and I often sit and imagine what kind of woman she'll grow up to be. There were several typos that kept tripping me up (like "feces" instead of "faces") and kept reminding me that proof reading is as important as spell check. :-) I loved this story and I loved the author's note at the end.

This is a beautiful, heartwarming love story about a remarkable woman who struggles to achieve making all her dreams of a happy life come true, by being courageous, strong and loving. Daniel Sullivan and Jenny Love- Townsends fall in love with each other from the first time they lay eyes on each. And with every obstacle that they face, their friendship and love grows stronger and deeper.
I loved “Touched by Angles” and I’m so happy that Peggy Webb wrote Jenny’s story. I love this book!

The book was okay. I'm still not fond of the authors writing style. The book was kinda predictable and very corny lol but I loved the corny parts haha.

Great read, but it was too similar to it's prequel "Touched By Angels" and not really realistic.
