California Crush #2

All Inclusive

Rate this book
My best friend is the man of my dreams, but is there any chance I could be his?

My best friend is gorgeous. No, really. Like can’t take your eyes off him gorgeous. He’s also sweet, a little shy, and yet has a crowd of men clamoring to share his bed. I envy him in that way, while my desire for him grows.

What’s holding me back from making my move besides endangering my closest friendship? My pitiful lack of experience. Even if he was interested in me, how could I possibly compete with the men he’s dated before?

But when one of our coworkers plants an idea that’s too good to pass up, I’ll find out if we’re only meant to be friends or if our relationship can be All Inclusive.

All Inclusive is a best friends to lovers, mutual pining, opposites attract romance starring a shy but popular ginger-haired angel and his outgoing but inexperienced bestie. It is book 2 in the California Crush series, featuring tan lines, thick thighs, and plenty of hot guys. Book your vacation and meet the men of Hillcrest Hideaway.

I'm kind of losing my patience with Mia Monroe books and it shows.
My first contact with her work was in Mountain Topped, which was co-authored with one of my tried and true faves K.M. Neuhold, which I loooved. Ever since I've been making my way through Monroe's solo work, which has awarded me with nothing but frustration for the wasted potential of it all.

If I had to boil this book down to one word it would be 'awkward'. She foregoes a lot of prose and inner monologues and relies heavily on dialogue, which is very common in this genre unfortunately. But to add insult to injury, you'd be hard pressed to find dilogue as awkwardly worded as you do in this book - and her other books I've read, for that matter.

The characterization was off, and the word "bestie" was used way too many times unironically by the MCs (in their 30s) and had me rolling my eyes.

I think this will be my last Mia Monroe for a while.

I loved book 1 and was so excited for Milo and Archer but I feel like I spent 85% of the book frustrated. Both MCs had feelings for the other but they were too scared to say anything. It literally goes on like this more than half the book, just them pining for eachother but going on dates with other people. We also don't get much back story on either character, we know Archer's parents died but that's about it.
There was a scene that was so random I had to pause because I wasn't sure why it was even brought up 😅 Milo and Archer are together at this point, they're at a party and run into a man that looks familiar to Archer. He asks if he knows a guy named Robbie and the man says it's his brother. Archer implies that he's hooked up with Robbie and that's it.... there's nothing else just some random mention of a guy he's hooked up with in the past. I don't really know what the point of that interaction was but by this point just wanted to finish the book or get to some actual steam.
I still want to read London and Charles story

This was so boring. Two "besties" (gawd I hate that term) secretly pine for each other and eventually become the secret admirer of the other, before finally seeing the light that they are destined for each other after all.

Good plot, but somehow Monroe manages to make this sweet story move at a glacial pace. Too many subplots, too many tangents our intrepid MCs have to slog through, and I'm skimming the last 15% just to get to the finish line. A more talented writer could have made all of this at least a bit more interesting, but Monroe just isn't up to the task.

I read the first book in this series and remember liking it, but maybe I was just in a super-good mood that day. *shrug emoji* I don't have the interest, however, to follow this to the next book. I need some meat to my books and not the kind between Archie's leg. (Spoiler: He's very well-endowed.)

I seriously adored Milo and Archer!! This was a fantastic best friends to lovers romance!! All Inclusive is the second story in the California series. Loved, loved, loved the whole secondary cast of characters in this series!! Loved how sweet Milo and Archer were with each other! Overall, a fantastic read! The story is very well written with complex characters, highly recommend. I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.

DNF @ 41%

I enjoyed the first book in the series, and this one is fluffy and light, but...OMG JUST COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I can't stand the whole no communication thing. It drives me nuts. Each MC laments that the other must not be interested in him because if he were, he'd have said something, right? What, like YOU have, MC? Oh wait, that's right, YOU'RE not saying anything either! This annoys me more than my interest to keep reading, so... sayonara.

Sweet and such longing! Not complicated or complex, but pretty satisfying...just maybe a little simplistic? Still, enjoyable for what it is, a sweet little love story.

I received a copy of this book from the author, and this is my honest review.
Mia did it again! This is super sweet, swoony and funny slooooooow burn.
If only Milo and Archer had communicated... but fortunately they did not, so we enjoyed many funny moments and two secret admirers!
What a smarter move was to put snippets of sexy scenes from her books!!!
This series keeps getting better, and I can't wait for the next books... Specially Owen's.
100% recommended!

This was such a super sweet story of two of the cutest shy guys Milo and Archer with their own secrets that hold them back from their true potential. It's a sweet and funny rom-com that is easily relatable. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Can be read as a stand-alone but much better reading in order to get everyone's story.
I received this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy.

All Inclusive is the second book in the California Crush series. Two best friends are in love with each other but don't know how to express their feelings. Milo and Archer are not only coworkers but best friends also. They keep dancing around each other until they realize how much they mean to one another. The book is sweet, funny, light angst, great friends and characters and I enjoyed it. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down.

Such cuties Milo and Archer.

BFFs who have been secretly pinning for each other but are scared they’ll ruin their friendship if they share their true feelings.

As more time goes by they find it harder and harder to hold back but they need a little help along the way.

What transpires is a very sweet game of secret admirers as they leave cute notes and gifts to show what they can’t say. With an extra push by the secret romantic Oscar and some spicy romance novels, they finally gather the courage to admit their truth.

What we get is a very sweet, low angst, mushy love story.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I rated this book 4.5 Stars so I rounded it up to 5 Stars. I enjoyed this book but found that it wasn’t as good as book 1 for some reason. Milo and Archer have been best friends for years but they secretly have romantic feelings for each other, that they’ve never plucked up the courage to tell the other as they’re worried that it could ruin their friendship if the other doesn’t feel the same. It isn’t until Milo sees Oscar flirting with Archer that he knows that it’s time to tell him how he feels before he loses his best friend to the guy he’s been seeing Dean as he knows that Oscar isn’t Archer’s type even though they both know Oscar is really good looking.

Milo doesn’t know how to tell him so he asks Oscar for some advice so he starts sending Archer gifts with love notes to Archer as a secret admirer. Archer loves the gifts and wants it to be Milo so badly. After seeing how happy Milo was for Archer he decides to start sending gifts to Milo in secret in return since Milo deserves to be spoilt and shown how much someone cares for him. This book is extremely slow burn but Milo and Archer just seem to click even when they were nothing other than best friends. Both Archer and Milo are keeping a secret from the other as they’re worried that it will change how the other feels about them but when they tell the other, they’re both initially shocked but it changes nothing about how they feel. I loved how supportive all the Hillcrest Hideaway family are of each other. I’m looking forward to reading London & Charles story next. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.

First off let me tell you, I really enjoyed reading about Archer and Milo best friends to lovers story. Mia had really put a lot of thought into writing this book! This story was funny, corky, sweet, caring, some sad moments of insecurities, and lovable moments. This story was different from all of Mia Monroe books, do you want to know why? This book was an agonizing slow burn read!!! The back and forth with Archer and Milo was unbelievable. Almost unbearable!! 😫 This story had me on edge 🥵 for sure, I was praying for relief!!!! 😵‍💫 I was going insane, the secret admire and secret crush was sweet. But, a girl was dying here, I needed them to touch, kiss and bone!!!🤤 The chemistry was off the hook throughout the book and to know that Archer was hiding a big secret about himself!!🥵 Wow Milo had hit the jackpot for real!!! 😜 But, once they got over the long wait, damn….. 🥵They were hot together!!🔥🔥🔥 I was sad the book was over!! 😢 You should definitely give this book a try!! It was definitely a test on my willpower to not flip to the steamy scenes!!! Lol I’m sorry guy’s, I’m impatient!!! 🤪 I have none what’s so ever, my husband reminds me all the time! Ha!! 😝 But, no for real this was a great book!! So, I can’t wait to see what other tricks and treats that she going give us in the next installment!!!😉 I can’t wait!!!🔥

3.5 stars. This friends to lovers story is pretty sweet and cute. I enjoyed the the whole secret admirers storyline. And once these besties finally got together (60% of the way through!) the whole thing got more enjoyable to read. My favorite part was when we got insight on the other characters, trying to figure out whose story is next and who will get a story with who. However, I was a bit disappointed in this story, I didn’t feel like it hit Mia’s usual standard. Two people who are supposed to be best friends, which to me means someone you can be totally yourself with and trust emphatically, but they have such trouble being honest? The amount of times they misread each other, make assumptions of the other, don’t think they can actually voice their true feelings and thoughts, that they couldn’t just trust their best friend and be honest is totally baffling to me. It got frustrating and annoying and lasted way too long. Their insecurities with one another started to really seem immature. The first 60% of the book was just a repeat of misunderstandings, misreadings and unlikely interruptions. This wasn’t my favorite Mia Monroe book, but I’m sure the series will go up from here. I’m so excited for Oscar’s story!

Archer and Milo are best friends. They get along incredibly well, and they have an incredible bond. And it's their friendship that holds them both back from telling each other how they feel.

And I get it. The fear that things will change for the worse. The fear of losing something stable, and wonderful, and secure. And while that fear is all-consuming and entirely anxiety-inducing, Milo and Archer still, somehow, manage to maintain their friendship while hiding their feelings.

But that doesn't work for long. They both realize that something's gotta give. Hiding their feelings just isn't sustainable, and honestly, they both just more than deserve to be happy. Together.

By the time they finally tell each other how they feel, I felt so relieved. I was so excited for them to explore the new dynamic of their relationship, and get to know each other on a romantic level. And I wasn't disappointed.

Milo and Archer are so sweet together, and sweet to each other. The love and care they have for each other is extremely apparent, and so wonderful and lovely. And all the low-angst pining was really, really worth it.

The more I read of this series, the more I low-key fall on love with San Diego, and the Hillcrest Hideaway.

I am just absolutely in love with EVERYTHING that Mia Monroe writes. I fall for all her men and just completely swoon every time I read a new book by her. When I receive one of her books i immediately pick it up and start reading! Once I picked up All Inclusive I was completely hooked like always! I read this book in 1 day and just couldn’t put it down. This series is absolutely amazing! I have been hooked from the start! Archer and Milo were absolutely freaking adorable!!! This was an extreme slow burn but that was totally okay because all the humor and antics that these men get up to keep things soooooo interesting!! These two started out with an amazing friendship and when it blossomed into more it was just so amazingly beautiful! I’m so invested in this series and I am so very excited for the next book in the series!!!

I am just loving this series. Archer and Milo were frustratingly adorable. Two lovable dorks who just couldn’t find their courage.

This was a slooooowww burn. Achingly slow. I didn’t necessarily have a problem with that, but if these two would have just talked, a lot of their insecurities could have been smoothed. Don’t let the slow burn tag fool you, there is so much heat between these two. They each have wonderful imaginations.

I loved their friendship first and foremost. Then the transition to something more, something deeper, was just beautiful. They took their time and were honest about their insecurities and what they wanted. I loved that when they finally talked about their feelings, they were clear and concise. It made for a fuller, richer story.

Also, can we take a moment to talk about Mizz Monroe planting snippets of her stories throughout the plot that fit seamlessly? I LOVED that. What a clever move.

This was a wonderful book and I am highly anticipating Charles and London’s story next.

This was a sweet, low angst read about two best friends who are in love with each other, but too scared to tell the other how they feel. Although I really like the characters, not only Archer and Milo, but the whole hotel crew, this one just didn’t work for me.

Milo and Archer are best friends and both pining for each other. They have their reasons for not confessing how they feel, but I found the reasons juvenile and not really much of a big deal. Everyone also kept saying how outgoing Milo was, but that never translated on paper. He seemed just as shy as Archer. What made this drag was it took forever for them to get together—so much inner dialogue about wishing they had the balls to confess how they felt. Then once it happened it was BAM, full relationship and then more.

It was also implied that Milo was demi sexual, but it was just a fleeting comment and not really addressed which I would have liked.

Overall, this one was just Ok for me, but I’m looking forward to more in this series because I do love the characters.

Sweet loving story!!!

Contains: bestfriends, coworker, chosen family, secret admirer, v!rgin, big fat cøck.

Very beautiful story describing the courage it takes to admit your feelings to yourself, but also to your best friend. Putting your friendship at risk, but also your heart and your entire family. Some passages are scorching hot. Although beautiful with a dynamic and lively cast, I found it long in parts. 55%non communication, 35% settling in their relationship and 10% of heat together.
The lack of communication was too much and became annoying. I kept wondering when they would finally get the courage to take the plunge and make the big move. After they were together and everything was going well, I was at about 60% and I was worried that another problem would arise because there were so many pages left to write only their happy ending. But no it was all dates, parties, settling into their new relationship and taking it slow and making us wait. So slow burning. Again A+ for the epilogue.

Milo and Archer are so frustratingly sweet. Both in love with each other. Both too nervous to say anything in fear of losing the strong friendship they've built over the years. Milo has been Archers rock during a time when he needed someone the most.
Milo with little help from Oscar decides it is time to tell his bestie how he feels, he just needs to work up to it. So he starts by sending Archer gifts as a secret admirer. Archer loves it but then feels bad for his admirer as his heart belongs to Milo. Archer decides that Milo deserves to feel special and begins sending Milo gifts from a secret crush. It is so cute the sky ways they come up with to secretly get the gifts to each other.
When they finally tell each other the truth, they explode together. Shy, sweet Archer shocked me so much with his bedroom behaviour. Phewww these two are absolute fire together.
I must warn you though this is a slow burn and it nearly killed me but it was so worth it.

I always love Mia Monroe’s books and this one was no different. We’ve met Archer and Milo in the previous books. They made really sweet side characters and absolutely adorable main characters.

This is the story of two best friends who love each other, but neither realizes the other feels the same way. Neither of them wants to risk losing the friendship so they hide their feelings. It’s sweet because pretty much everyone but them knows how they feel. We get to see how they both deal with their feelings, and what they do when they think the other one has a date.

This was a really fun read with almost no angst. The only reason it is four stars and not five is them not realizing they both liked each other went on a little too long for me. It was cute in the beginning but it went on for so long it wasn’t believable anymore that neither one had figured it out. I did love this book though.

I received a free ARC of this book but that did not influence my review.

All Inclusive is basically everything I want in best friends to lovers trope. It's filled with cinnamon roll sweetness and steamy moments that make you want to break out a fan.

Archer and Milo are the cutest. You root for them from the very beginning. Knowing how they both felt about the other, I wanted to shake them and get them to see what everyone else could. I truly enjoyed the way their relationship evolved and the small bumps in the road to get there.

I craved their story since their introduction in book 1, Extended Stay. While it isn't necessary to read them in order, I almost always recommend doing so.

I can't wait for Oscar's story. The way he helped set up their romance, you just know he's all soft and gooey on the inside. And the way London looks at Charles *insert swoon* This series is fantastic so far, and I'm impatiently looking forward to more.

Maybe it’s my problem because I didn’t read the first book.

This is a sweet best friends to lovers, mutual pining, secret admirers story.

I was unconvinced. Maybe I’ve been reading too many plot heavy, beautiful books recently, and I’ve come to expect some character out of the books I read. Either an immersive plot or beautiful writing or OTT humour. This book just seemed bland to me. It’s a super slow burn(I almost hesitate to say burn because my panties were not on fire) and it all seemed rather bland to me. I didn’t understand why Milo and Archer loved each other, except that they did.

Honestly I might be too harsh here. The book was well-edited and if you are looking for that no angst fluffy best friends to lovers story, go right ahead!

I absolutely loved Milo and Archer. But OMG the pining in this book. And it wasn't the dramatic angsty pining that I enjoy. It was the whining, annoying type of pining. I just wanted to reach into the book and smack some sense into both of them! So thankful for Oscar

In addition to all the pining, this was a way slow burn. I'm talking 75% in and all they've done is kiss. The characters were all amazing, but I was expecting more from the plot. It just felt so drawn out. I did end up reading it in one sitting though. It started with my trying to get to the spicy parts, and then I just wanted to get the book finished. If I wasn't already invested in the characters and the Hillcrest Hideaway so much, this probably would have been a DNF for me

All Inclusive is the second book is this serie, this is a best friends to lovers, slow burn romance. Archer and Milo are the sweetest, both are in love with each other but never share their feelings because they’re afraid of losing their friendship. I so want to smack both at few times..lol. I so wanted them to just talk and share their feelings. When they finally confessed I was doing a happy dance for them! Taking the time to develop their new relationship was great both have a little issue but I think that just make each other more hotter. They are super sweet and holy smokes they are steamy! I love their HEA! Can’t wait for the next book!

While this was a sweet best friends to lovers with a little bit of angst thrown in, I found Milo and Archer’s pining and longing a bit too over dramatic and then it was almost too sugary sweet when they did FINALLY tell the other they wanted them. I love BFFs to lovers trope but this one wasn’t it for me. I couldn’t get over how neither one knew they other liked them or had the guts to say it. It was kinda frustrating to me.

I did enjoy the scenes of them reading excerpts from past Mia books and getting off to them…that was HOT!! Overall, the story line wasn’t bad, it was really sweet but this one just wasn’t for me.

Mia Monroe continues her California Crush series with the emotionally sweet All Inclusive.

Milo and Archer are friends who are secretly crushing on each other. Can it get any more romantic than this?

YES! And Mia pulls out all of the smexy and steamy old time romance, with a new and fun vibe. We get to watch behind the scenes, Hollywood Movie Romance with each page leading to their big reveal.

I love these men, and wish I could visit the hotel where this crew works, to meet these lovelies in person. Thank you Mia, for creating a fantasy that brings the heart of love to all of your readers!
