Isaac is a slave. He's been a slave since the day he turned eighteen. He likes it, he's good at it, gets off on it and is good at serving people. A client visit to the 'Doctor' changes everything and he finds himself having to prove his worth as a slave all over again... until he finds himself right back where it all started.
Adult only. Explicit and descriptive scenes of BDSM, medical fetish and play and M/m sex.
This is an edge-of-the-seat read. It ripped my heart out at points and even made me cringe a few times, in a delicious way. The kink was outstanding and incredibly innovative. This is nothing like I’ve read before. I am astounded by the author’s ability. I couldn’t stop reading. I’m fully invested in the characters and my heart aches so much. Taylor J. Gray has the unique ability to draw the reader in and I couldn’t help but fall in love with her twisted, kinky ways. I’m immediately off to read book 2!
Isaac is a sex slave who suffers pain to provide pleasure to others and is occasionally rewarded with pleasure.
He has no rights or choice. He is given food and drink in exchange for serving his Master in every way. Sometimes the pain builds until he loses control. Sometimes his Master gets too carried away and risks damage or death while punishing Isaac. But it mostly feels good and he loves to serve his Master.
I really enjoyed this book. It's... different, definitely not anything I've ever read before. It's NOT for the faint of heart. There are definitely scenes that will push you and make you question your sanity, but it's worth it. The ending is what really sold the book for me. Anyone can write something purely for shock value, but pulling it all together and tying it off with an ending that makes you want more takes a lot of skill. This author is brilliant.
After reading the first book, I was hooked from page one, but I didn't know what a journey was ahead of me at that time. Reading Isaac's first slave scene, all those things Breecher did to him, and all those fucked up emotions Rourke made in his mind. At the time I was curious about Rourke and Isaac's relationship and I just couldn't see past everything. I enjoyed the medical scenes, it was so fucked up and so dark, it was painful and hurtful, but the writing stlye and the journey was enjoyable. I hurt for Isaac and his suffering, but it was needed to fall in love with him and this series. Silly me, didn't know how wrong I was...
Open at your own risk! This is well written, dark and will mess with your mind. It’s not for you if you’re squeamish, or have any triggers. It will however hurt your heart.
Isaac’s story isn’t sweet, there’s no happy ending. Book one of six, the research involved in this storyline is impressive. Characters and plot development draw you in immediately.
Rourke, as Isaac’s keeper anchored him. His next journey without him, is sad to read.
You’ll not forget Isaac any time soon. For me, this is a re read, and a reminder there are some very well done, dark mm books about.
It's a good day when you find a new author that have written something unique, which I think Isaac is. There are few books out there with a full time slave and it holds true throughout the whole story. It did not go as I had pictured and in the end I stopped imagining where it would lead.
Isaac is a full time slave who is owned by a Master and have a keeper to make sure he is healthy and taken care of. He is trained and is good at what he does, serving clients and pleasing both them and his Master. It is a role he have willingly submitted to and he wants nothing else.
The book is kink heavy as one would expect from a book like this, and Isaac goes through punishments, and there are down right difficult to read scenes when he meets a client that truly does what ever he wants.
There are tenderness in the book which makes it even better, things aren't black and white and it made me invested in following Isaac on his journey.
Everything is set from a slave's point of view, there are bits that can be mapped out from cut out conversations and meetings between others, but for me it only made it more intriguing and kept up my curiosity.
This is a new author for me and also a new type of subject for me. I wasn't sure what I got myself into when I bought this book. I thought initially it was some type of human trafficking type of sexual slavery...but I was wrong. I have read numerous BDSM and Dom/sub books before. This book wasn't like any I have read before. Why would a person willingly become a full time sex slave? I think the writer did a good job. The book is completely from Isaac's point of view. There's a mad Dr who is one of Isaac's "clients". He does some terrible things. Being a retired nurse, I could imagine exactly what Isaac went through. The book does end kind of abruptly with no real ending for Isaac...so plan on buying pretty much all of the series. I guess book one is just a type of glimpse into Isaac's life as a slave. I did have some difficulty with some of the words, the Author is English I guess and uses English words in the writing. An example is "arse" instead of "Ass". There was also a type of vegetable mentioned I had to look up, it does have a different name used here in the United States. I won't mention the word as I don't want to give anything away that happens. Some things can be horrific by some people's standards, so read the trigger/content warnings. I can't really say if I enjoyed the book exactly...I felt like a fly on the wall view Isaac's life. All the time wondering if this type of world is really going on that people co sent to entering as a slave? A slave who has no rights or job except to do as his Sir or Master says. Anyway, I was compelled to keep reading. I got hooked and invested into Isaac's world and life. Will I read books 2-6 next? I don't really know but most likely will and the other series that's related to this series I think it's the Steetboys series by this author. I have to admit, I was bummed when the book ended, so I guess I did enjoy it. Do I recommend it? Only if you are into dark, kink books that you have to read whole series. This type of book isn't for the faint of heart. If you like this type of book, I say, give it a try. I think the author did a great job.
I have a hard time saying I enjoyed the book because of what goes in the book (it is full of...torture? Not sure if that is the right word for it--most of it is consensual but there is a big part in the middle that for sure isn't). I find reading a book about sex slave to be very fascinating mostly because I can't picture anything like this actually happening (I know it probably does...but in this book format it does make it seem more like there is consent...for the most part...on both sides). But let's be real. I did enjoy it, it's a good quick read. But please don't read this book if you have survived any emotional, physical, or mental trauma at the hands of someone else. I can promise you this book will not be good for any healing that you have done.
If you want a book that will push all your boundaries and morals, this one is for you. This book is not for the faint of heart. It is EXTREMELY dark.
I feel like the author really educated themselves on everything pertaining to this story, everything was believable. The writing was great, however I didn't feel like there was much to the storyline. However, Isaac's story does continue so it may have more depth further into it you go. Will I continue the story I am not sure, it intrigued me but I'm not sure if it is for me.
Damn! This is a very dark, brutal read! This poor slave is put through hell! He winds up with PTSD from the “session” he has with a depraved, sadistic doctor! So, what does his handler do? He decides its best to retrain this slave and get him back to the correct mindset so the slave can take on paying customers again! The handler has to leave said slave because he is having issues with how he let the dr do all those horrible things to said slave and he didn’t stop it! Slave is left to kinda flounder and find his own way again! This is very dark, emotional read! Please heed the warnings!!

Written in a world with slavery this book is unique and I think very well done. You see things from the perspective of the slave and are exposed to things that work really well and also what can go horribly wrong in the world. There is absolutely extreme kink and boundary pushing but it never seemed gratuitous to me, just what was happening in the story. As the series progresses I really appreciated the deep understanding of Isaac's mind while it dealt with everything he went through and all the changes in his world.
*please note this review is written after reading books 1-4. There are 2 more on Amazon but I have not been able to purchase them.
Isaac is a hard core slave endured all these harsh tortures from his visit and then survived coming to be back to the slave life. The book is not only about his physical sufferings and struggles to take them but also about his mental bearings he endure through the process, the fight to submit and surrender and please his master and sirs. A book you will feel that you endure as much pain as Isaac. I will read the next books hoping to see Isaac finding where he truly belongs.
WOW. This is a very kinky story that is set in a world where people can sign their life away as a slave. You would think that this book would be extremely dark, but it’s not. There are many very sexy scenes and one very scary one but this book also has quite a bit of us getting into the mind of Isaac and why he wants to be a slave and what he gets out of it. I found it fascinating as well as sexy. Please read the warnings before you read this book. Although if this sounds like something you might like to read then it is definitely worth it.
DNF. I made it to about 50% and it just wasn't my thing. I've read some pretty dark stuff, but this was hard to get through. Maybe I just wasn't in the right frame of mind, but the first half of the book broke me and I didn't have the energy to finish. Maybe that's the point, but reading several chapters of torture was rough. The writing is good, but there are a few grammatical and spelling mistakes. Overall, it's a tough read.
4.5⭐️ Wow! This was a biiiit “darker” than I was expecting- in a good way!! I loved how the author wrote Isaac’s internal dialogue, his real feelings. The aftermath of his visit with Beecher was so well done. The only thing that kept it from being a 5⭐️ was the ending- discussion of all these different names and such. I didn’t like being confused right at the end. Will I continue the series? I sure hope so, I’d like my questions answered.
Isaac is a young man who was discovered on the streets and brought into the world of slavery where he has been flourishing for years until a client takes things too far. Now Isaac must prove his worth again and ends up back where it all started. There are trigger warnings for a reason and this book is on the darker side with explicit BDSM and a lot of hurt/comfort. I'm rooting for Isaac and will continue the series.
This book seriously needs "watersports" added to its disclaimer!!! Watersports is a hard limit for me and I tried to skim and overlook it a bit, but had to DNF at 14%. I also Dnfed because almost everything in the book is sexually charged. I understand that it's a choice the main character has made, to live that way. It was just not my cup of tea.
I still gave it 3 stars because it seemed well written and the premise was interesting, so I don't wanna tank the rating.
I love a good BDSM book. This was not it. This was an absolutely, mind numbing, awful 130 pages of gratuitous sex, with maybe 2 pages of story. By the end I was skimming pages just trying to find the story. I had downloaded the original series, I've deleted it, I can't be bothered with the rest. I should have just done a DNF.
I don’t really know how to rate this book. Did I enjoy it? Not really, did I NEED to push through and finish it? Yes. I apparently was channeling Isaac. I found so many scenes so ambiguous. Which was the intention, I assume. Isaac moaned at everything. 182 times moan was in this book it’s only 161 pages. Throw some groans in or something.
So, at its heart, this is a BDSM book, but one like I’ve never read before. Isaac is a slave with a Keeper, and he services clients as assigned by the house master. He admits that he’s a good slave and he does enjoy it. He left home in his teens (we don’t know exactly why) and met a man who taught him the D/s lifestyle, and he loved it. He can endure the pain and enjoy the pleasure that comes with it, until one client takes things way too far and Isaac leaves feeling broken. His keeper knows Isaac needs to heal, both mentally and physically. But he’s lost on how to do it, and how long it will take. Isaac GOES THROUGH IT in this book. He’s such a sweetheart and so desperate to please, even to his own detriment. I don’t want to go into the details of what happens to Isaac, but it is far beyond most D/s scenes that I’ve ever read. It’s so intense, and my heart absolutely broke for him. But the book ends with a hopeful, silver lining, one that left me hopeful for Isaac’s healing and his future.
BDSM is about safe, sane and consensual. Having the boy drink 6 litres of water (followed by two iv infusions of more fluids and then the reintroduction of his own urine) would induce hyponatremia which is life threatening. Draining him of a significant amount of blood, conducting several very severe scenes and then surgically degloving a testicle is not BDSM, it is straight up torture.
This all happens in the first 38% of the book.

absolutely brutal, not for the faint of heart. I pushed myself through this one, one eye closed and the other eye squinting. I really felt for Isaac, the first person present tense POV worked perfectly, just like Isaac, the reader doesn't know what's coming next either. Gripping!
Okay. This is a tough read. Isaac has suffered more than he ever imagined, after being promised they would care for him. He wasn’t sure he would ever find peace again.
