She’s working in a dead-end job. He’s a billionaire in need of a nanny…

Kali
I’m working in yet another dead-end job when Mr. Handsome himself offers me a position as his live-in nanny.
His mansion is luxurious and elegant, and I’m way out of my comfort zone.
He only has one rule: Don’t make a sound.
Which is kind of hard for a girl who loves to sing.
And when he takes that rule into the bedroom, it might just be my undoing.

Jaxon
My son is the most important thing in my life, and he needs a nanny.
When I spontaneously employ the deliciously curvy Kali, I don’t expect to be as captivated by her as my son is.
She’s joyful, authentic, and innocent. She fills the house with song and brings laughter to my heart.
But I swore I’d never let another woman into my life. I’m damaged goods, and she deserves better than that.

Looking for a steamy single dad romance? Let the boys from All the Single Dads warm up your nights. These single dad hotties are fiercely protective and will do anything for the ones they love.
They’re raising their children and raising the temperature.

The series features grumpy single dads, secret billionaires, shy neighbors, and men turned obsessive by the curvy heroines who capture their hearts.

Each book in the series is a standalone but best enjoyed together. And look out for your favorite characters from Maple Springs popping in for cameo appearances. No cliffhangers and always with a happily ever after.

I had no idea this was a very super-short story, of only 41 pages.
But since I had it, I read it.
It was a very quick read that, I am sorry to say, left me with nothing.
This meet-sex-love-marry theme is definitely not for me...
No rating from me, since it was my fault that I didn’t see the author’s writing trait beforehand.

Jaxon and Kali . . .

Jaxon is a wealthy man who doesn’t like distractions at any time, most especially when trying to work. He is the single father of a two-year-old, Daniel, and he expects absolute quiet when he works. Because he is so unreasonably and unrealistically demanding, his nannies keep quitting. When he sees Kali being harassed at the bar where she works, he offers her the nanny job. Fortunately for him, she accepts.

Both of them are attracted to each other. But Jaxon does not want to risk getting hurt again. Will he learn to trust her and give their relationship a chance? Or will his pushing her away cause her to leave too? Is there a HEA possible, or just more loneliness ahead?

Hated Jaxon.

Normally when I hate a character in books, it’s the heroine. For whatever reason I tend to give the heroes a lot of leeway, especially when they’re being a-holes to the heroines because I know that’s a trope. This guy was just a d**ck. Hell, he wanted to cart his two year old kid off to a boarding school so he wouldn’t have to deal with him. He expected a two year old to be silent. He wasn’t and insta-dad. He’s been there since birth so I don’t know why he thought that was feasible. I just plain didn’t like the dude and I don’t think I’m going to continue the series. I have it a go.

ok

This story was just ok for me. I wanted to see more of Kali and Jaxon together. There was a lot of skipping ahead, I wanted to see more of them together and less of Jaxon avoiding Kali. Jaxon was a little bit of a jerk. He mentioned that he married for business and it wasn’t for love but then mentioned he was afraid to risk his heart again. I liked Kali, she feisty and didn’t put up with Jaxon’s antics for too long.

Safety and Spoilers

Completely safe. No ow drama, h’s boss in the beginning rubs her butt and she gets fired for standing up to him. Nothing mentioned about either of their pasts, neither was a virgin. No abuse.

Jaxon and Kali

This is a quick story of a single dad Jaxon and Kali a waitress at a bar.

There's an instant connection between the two when she goes to work as a nanny for him.

3.5/4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Sadie King's tagline is that she writes "short and steamy insta-love stories about strong protective men and the curvy women who steal their hearts. My books are high heat, oh so sweet, and always with a happily ever after."  Which is exactly what Jaxon delivered.

This is the first book I have read by this author, after reading the blurb it sounded like a book I would like to read so I volunteered to read an ARC copy.

Jaxon is a quick read.  This short story is about single dad, Jaxon, who just can't keep a nanny for his two-year-old.  To support his brother he joins the new single dad support group his brother started.  He noticed Kalin while sitting in the bar where the group meets.  When her boss gets touchy and she mouths off and gets fired, Jaxon hires her on the spot as his new nanny. Jaxon is rich, grumpy, and demanding.  He speaks in short phrases and expects Kali to follow a specific schedule for his son with only one rule, he does not want to hear either of them when he is working.  There was something about him that pulled me into his character. The story is told in dual POV, but I felt that I had a better understanding of who Jaxin was than I did with Kail.

The book was entertaining. I would pick up another Sadie King book if I'm looking for a quick read and one I want to finish in one sitting. I just prefer books with more day-to-day enjoy more day to day activities and interactions between characters.

He was in a single dad's group and saw a waitress being berated.
When she quits and tells her boss off, Jaxon hired Kali to watch after his son.
One problem: he has tons of rules. Rule 1 - no noises during work hours.
Can she live with that?
Fun short book with angst to polish it off.He was in a single dad's group and saw a waitress being berated.

She needs a job. He needs a nanny. Perfect except he has a few rules, one the house needs to stay quite during working hours, two to guard his heart. Kali has never been a nanny: she could not pass up the job when it fell into her lap or her new boss.

Jaxon is a steamy fast read that take you on fast and heated ride as Jaxon and his son will have you by your heart.

This was a cute story with a father, who thinks he knows how to raise his son, finds that there is more to life and the happiness of his family than work and a very strict regimen. Wish that the story was further expanded in the last chapters, but it was cute.

WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

Jaxon met Kali when he's at the bar for the single dad's meeting with his brother. Jaxon became a single dad when his wife left him for another man. Kali works at the bar and when Jaxon sees her she's trying to take out the garbage but the bag has a hole in it and it's spilling everywhere. Jaxon watches as her boss comes up to her but he's can't hear what he says to her. After Kali's boss leaves she flips him her finger, Jaxon knows he needs to talk to this woman. Jaxon watches when Kali comes back is at the bar and her boss hits her bottom. Jaxon starts to walk up to say something but Kali has it handled. When Jaxon hears Kali's boss fire her, he offers her a job at being his new nanny. Kali doesn't know the first thing about being a nanny but she been a babysitter and thinks it can't be much different. The next day Kali shows up at Jaxon's home after he gives her a schedule he tells her he doesn't want them making any noise while he's working. Jaxon watches over Kali as she sings his son a lullaby, after he's fallen asleep he asks her if she'd like to grab lunch with him. Jaxon fixes lunch for them and Kali asks him about his wife. Jaxon asks Kali about herself as they enjoy their lunch. Two weeks go by and Jaxon always finds Kali after she's put his son down for his nap and offers to make her lunch. After Jaxon's wife left him he swore off ever getting married again. After Kali puts Jaxon's son down she wonders around the mansion, she has seen doors but never goes into them. When she wonders into them they are all empty, almost like they were meant to be children's rooms. While Kali is in a room she's looking out the window, a song comes to her and she starts to sing. Jaxon's hears her singing, he's trying to get his work done but the proposal doesn't figure out. Jaxon get frustrated and goes to find Kali. Jaxon finds her standing with her arms out facing the window, Kali realizes he's behind her and stops singing. Jaxon tells her he told her she needs to be quiet while he's working, she ruined his concentration. Kali tells him she's sorry, but Jaxon pulls her to him and kisses her. Kali asks Jaxon to kiss her again, then he kisses down her body. Jaxon puts his hand over Kali's mouth when she moans and he tells her not to make a sound. Jaxon tells her to tell him if she doesn't want his and then he makes love to her. Jaxon says Kali's name but then his son makes a noise from down the hall. Kali leaves to take care of Jaxon's son Daniel. Over the next week Jaxon avoids Kali, he's not proud of himself. Kali's stirred up feelings in his heart that he doesn't want to let out. When Jaxon leaves the kitchen he tells Kali he has a meeting and he wants them to keep quiet. Later that same night when Jaxon comes downstairs, after he's taken over for Kali he finds her sitting on his couch. Jaxon asks about his son's day and Kali tells him the details. When Kali doesn't look at Jaxon he has a feeling there's something she wants to say. Jaxon asks her and Kali tells him she can't work here anymore. Jaxon tries to give her the guilt trip about how much Daniel has gotten use to her. Kali tells Jaxon she's not something he can just take when he wants, because he's rich. Jaxon tells her it's not like that, but Kali tells him he hasn't spoken to her all week. When Jaxon walks towards her she takes steps back, he tells her he wants to make it up to her. Kali asks him then what happens she deserves more. Kali tells him she thought there was something between them, and turns and leaves. Kali goes back to the bar, the single dad's support group is in but Jaxon isn't there. While Kali is cleaning the tables when she hears footsteps behind her. When Kali turns Jaxon is watching her she notices his stubble and hair is mused. Jaxon tells Kali that his son misses her, she tells him she's not coming back. Jaxon tells her he doesn't want her to, but then reaches his hand out. Jaxon tells her that he didn't speak to her after they made love because he was afraid, he'd of what he was feeling. Jaxon tells Kali about his wife leaving him and he swore he never marry again. Jaxon apologies to Kali, she wants to be upset but she finds she no longer has it in her. Kali accepts his apology Jaxon tells her he has feeling for her, he thought he could let it go, and protect his heart but he's miserable without her. Jaxon tells her he wants her not just her body he wants her in his life, permanently. Jaxon kisses Kali, and asks her to come back to his house, not as his nanny but as his woman. Kali tells him okay, Jaxon pulls her to him and kisses her. Suddenly Kali's purpose in life is clear, it's not working dead end jobs it's being here with Jaxon, brining joy and laughter to his serious world. Six years later, Kali's kids are her world, she has a nanny three days a week to get some time to herself. Kali finds Jaxon after leaving her kids with the nanny, he makes love to her. Kali has a purpose in life now, and it's her family.

She adjusts his attitude by the end

Jaxon is the first book in the new All the Single Dads series. This series is set in the city medium size town of Maple Springs, where several other series by Sadie King have been set. This time it is a support group for single dads who will all find love when they least expect it. This story is about Jaxon, a very successful and busy, single father to two year old Daniel. Jaxon had married a trophy wife who ended up becoming the trophy for a richer man a year ago. Since then Jaxon has been going through nanny's like water through a sieve, and all because of his very strict no noise policy while he is working at his home office. Kali is twenty-two years old and still has no idea what she wants to do with her life. Since graduating high school all of her friends have either gone off to college or are getting married, but she is stuck going from one odd job to the next while living with her parents. The latest job is as a waitress at The Blue Boar. One night when the single dad's group circumstances end up with her quitting her job and then being hired by one of the dad's as a nanny. As she has no experience being a nanny and finds the dad very attractive you just know this is going to get smexy hot.

I enjoyed this story and liked the idea of the single dads group. I will say that Jaxon irked me at times and at others I really liked him. Kali is a sweetheart who loves to sing, has a bit of a Mary Poppins attitude, and is not afraid to stand up for herself... "...ever heard of the Me Too movement?" I did feel that there was something missing in the connection but overall it was a very enjoyable read and I can't wait for the rest of the series.

In the first novella in the All the Single Dads series, Jaxon is a wealthy businessman who has been unable to keep a nanny for his toddler Daniel because of his rigid rules. While attending a single dads' group at the only bar in Maple Springs, Jaxon notices a young, curvy waitress that fights back when the bar's manager makes a pass at her - and Jaxon quickly offers her the nanny position. Kali is feisty and independent, and when she quits her job at the bar, she reluctantly accepts Jaxon's offer, needing the money. Kali is at first put off by Jaxon's grouchy demeanour, but as they get to know one another, she finds herself more and more attracted to her. Jaxon feels the same way, but after the way his first marriage ended, he has no idea how to connect with anyone emotionally - even a woman who makes him feel things he never thought he would again. This is a sweet, entertaining, sizzling, age gap romance, a great kick off to a new series!

The couple: Jaxon and Kali

Romance trope: nanny
Series: All the Single Dads
Length: 43 pages

Plot: Jaxon is having a difficult time keeping a nanny - might have something to do with his grumpy, unyielding personality and his ridiculous standards. Kali is on the verge of losing her job because of her pervy boss. When Jaxon sees her at the bar where she works, he will stop at nothing to get her in his home. But can he convince her that he really wants her?

Commentary: Well he was a bit of a jerk, then, wasn't he? Although he seemed completely self-aware about it. But the unreasonable expectations he had for his child - I'm not sure he even wanted him! It bothered me a little because this is something we see in real life too, the man who only has a child because the woman wants one (or because there was an accident) and he's a less-than-stellar father who leaves all the nurturing up to the woman (a woman, any woman, apparently). Adding to that the expectation that the woman will meet his requirements for a child (staying quite as a toddler, loL!), and it was a little icky. I guess he learned or something in the end. It didn't feel good to me though.

Next book in the series: Jake

Kali is at an awful job. Her boss is either flirting with her or touching her income way or another. She has had enough so she quits in the spot.
Jaxon is in need of a nanny, so when he heard the waitress quit her job HR decided o offer her a job. Jaxon approached the waitress and offered her a job as a nanny for his son. The next day as she shows up at the house which is more like a mansion. Jaxon tells her his son is on a scheduled that she has to keep him quiet due to the fact he works from home.
Kali is doing a great job with her job until she starts singing and it bothers Jaxon but once he sees her singing, things change. Jaxon is having feelings for Kali.
Jaxon never thought he'd fall in love but he has and Kali has too.

Jaxon is a single dad and he has a problem keeping a nanny. He has fired four nannies in a month. He has come to Single Dad’s night for some advice. While he is there he comes across a female waitress being hit on by her boss. He likes how she takes care of the situation and he hires her on the spot to be his nanny! She has no experience being a nanny. It’s crazy but it just might work. Kai is a breath of fresh air. Jaxon wants a structured day and he must have silence as he works. Kai is sweet and loves being a nanny. She brings life to the household. Jaxon is starting to smile, engage with Kai. Father and son are falling in love with Kai. What will happen? It’s a sweet, tender, love story. I really enjoyed this story!

Jaxon is a single father to a two-year boy. Every nanny he has hired hasn't worked out for some reason or another. Kali is a waitress at a local bar. When her boss starts getting too handsy she gives him a talking to which gets her fired. Jaxon immediately follows her to hire her to take care of his son. Sparks fly between them as she starts work. Soon she is bonding with not only his son but with Jaxon. Will Jaxon see that she's perfect for his family?

This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Jaxon is the first book in the ‘’all the single dads’’ series.
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Jaxon is a successful businessman and a single father not looking for love. When he hires Kali to be his son’s new nanny, will love blossom between them?
The chemistry between Jaxon and Kali is clear to see and I liked them together.
I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I look forward to more books from this series.

Jaxon is a very demanding wealthy single father who can't seem to keep a nanny employed no matter how hard he tries. So when he sees Kali being harassed at her job at the bar where he just happened to stop for a drink he offers her the nanny position. She soon realizes why he can't keep a nanny it's because of his impossible demands and he starts to realize that he's attracted to her. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this heartfelt story to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.
