Sometimes things are meant to be even when you don’t know it. Imagine being in love with someone that felt unattainable. The complete opposite from you. That’s what Willa Banks suffered through. In high school she was the nerdy girl who wrote for the school paper. He was the football player she couldn’t stop thinking about.

She loved him so much she attended all his games. Followed his football career to junior college and on to the NFL. Learned all there is to know about the game he loved. She stayed close to home to ensure she was always near by and able to secretly stalk him in her off time. But little did she realize he watched her too.

I about screamed with glee when I found out he was doing the same thing. JD Ryan may have outgrown his pudgy high school football body and turned into a wall of solid muscle but he still felt he wasn’t worthy of the girl. So he did the only logical thing… he protected Willa from the shadows. He’d make sure she got home safely at night. He studied her habits, knew her favorite foods, and collected everything she’s ever written.

This may have been an instalove story in the sense that it takes place over the course of a mere week but the history between these two made it more of a second chance romance for me. I adored how they were both saving themselves for someone they hoped to one day win over. Not too often now days to you see two early-mid 20’s virgins. And I even loved how their first time played out. JD was such a sweetheart!!

If you're looking for a sticky sweet instalove, Hope Ford definitely delivers in His First Cherry Pie. JD and Willa have known each other since high school, both lusting after each other from afar, not realizing their feelings were reciprocated. Fast forward 4 years and JD finally has been the chance he's been waiting for, just for her, for all these years. Hope Ford is the best for a well written, quick and cute read. Both of the MCs are super sweet ❤️. If you're a fan of quick reads or just looking for something lite between heavier reads, His First Cherry Pie will definitely satisfy.

Fast-paced, quick to read, and super steamy. Don't expect a ton of story or character depth- this is pretty short novella but if you're into the virgin trope and like to see it explored through a fresh take, you'll enjoy this. Two virgins, long time longing, and lots of steam. These two definitely SEEM like they know what they're going, but I did enjoy having a different take on the innocent girl/playboy dynamic. Didn't love that he used sex as a bargaining chip, but since we know she was into him and had long since fantasized about him too, it keeps this light and swoony. (and he seems to recognize the ick of it later)

This was my first book by author Hope Ford.

Willa and JD went to the same school in high school. And tho they weren’t exactly friends, they both acknowledged each other and had a crush on each other.

Nowadays, Willa is junior reporter for the Daily News newspaper and JD Ryan, went from the chubby kid to the football star every woman dreams about.


“I know I can’t continue, not like this. As soon as this game is over today, I’m making a plan to seek her out. She doesn’t seem to be the type to care about things like this, but I don’t care if it’s my money or fame she’s after—if she’ll have me, I’m hers.”

After three years of thinking of nothing else, JD finally decides to seek Willa out and tell her how her feels.
As luck would have it, Willa is charged to interview the players after the game, and when JD sees her he never lets her go ago again! Quite literally.

“She takes a small bite and moans around the fork in her mouth, “Oh my, that’s good. That’s really good.”
I take a big drink of cold water and wonder what she’d think if I just doused myself with it. I need something to cool myself off”

I liked this short story a lot.
There were some elements that might trigger some people, like the fact that both of them did some light stalking on each other. But I liked their little obsession, since neither went to extremes.
Loved how JD was all alpha and take charge.

*spoilers* JD Ryan was obsessed with Willa since he met her at Knox Village High school. He describes himself that he used to be fat and dumpy with no future.. He thinks she was not interested in him back then, now he is a football star at the Knoxville Knights. Four years later he is still obsessed. She is a junior reporter at the Knoxville Daily News and secretely folllowed every move of JD since high school. she thought in high school there was maybe a chance he liked her but thinks he would not even recognize her now. Then she gets the task to report about the game, just when JD decides to pursue her and then they make a deal...
I adore Hope Ford's stories. Somehow they touch my heart, make me laugh and cry and feel with the charchters. Willa fell for JD, no matter his size or money, the heart is what values. Two virgins who secretely are obsessed with each other and who only see each other. And maybe it would be creepy in real life, but that is the nice thing about this slightly over the top love stories, I can just indulge and it is sweet how JD stalks and protects Willa. And how Willa even picked up her work in the city where he was to be near to him, just melted my heart. And I did not even start at all the big and little things JD did and does...

Commentary: The dual-virgin aspect was kinda cute but they were both stalkers! I can't imagine how they never ran into each other before (since they left high school, that is). It was also a little weird how JD kept talking about how dumpy and unattractive he was - Willa obviously didn't think so and neither did her "friend." He had a strange vision of himself, I guess.

This book is a part of the A Double Virgin Valentine series and focuses on JD and Willa. JD and Willa have both been hopelessly and obsessively in love with each other since high school but both thought that the other didn't feel the same. They made all important life decisions with the other person in mind and followed the other persons success throughout the years. They loved each other from afar for 4 years until Willa was assigned to report on JD's team. When JD notices Willa at the interview room after his game, he comes up with a plan to get his girl and all of his fantasies with his girl once and for all. This was such a great addition to the series! I loved JD and Willa and am so glad that they finally got everything out in the open and got their HEA.

This was a really sweet but steamy book. I loved JD and Willa together. These two have been in love with each other since high school outside forces and assumptions kept these two apart. Now four years later, JD and Willa finally have their chance to get the one they have been wait for. I loved this book and thought that this was a perfect addition to this multi author series. I would highly recommend this book and Ms. Hope as a must read author.

Dnf. I couldn't even make it 3 chapters. I skimmed the entire first chapter Cuz I hate hate hate sex dream start offs in books. And I get it's a sports book but the amount she talks about football in the second chapter wow. Boring! And if I heard his woah is me shtick any longer I was gonna gag! My goodness. Is this seriously written by hope Ford??? I normally love her stuff and she's a top author for me but this I couldn't even fathom finishing. Big mega yikes! Ugh. Big disappointment. Oofta.

This was a good story.
I loved how the story was written, you just seem to effortlessly fall into the story, since both main characters share a past and backstory.
I loved that they were both in essence the same, believing that the other wouldn't feel the same but turns out that made their blooming relationship even more special.
I loved that they had both fallen for each other before the fame and body changes which is what I love in a romance.
Saying that I loved how confident and commanding the male became, I mean he wasn't over the top, he was soft when it came to the female but he still managed to stand tall and have his alpha moments.
The female was great too, she was an independent character but still managed to compliment the male well.
My fav part was that they were both still obsessed with each other, even though they hadn't seen each other since high school, that they were both equally stalkerish about each other and in a way that brought them closer together.
The story was so smooth that I couldn't find any faults in the storyline or their romance.
Obviously the double virgin element worked, with its only being around 4 years (i think) after high so it was believable.
All in all a very good job by this author and also a great addition to this series!!

Fabulous, absolutely love this one. A nice quick short read.

JD and Willa meet in high school, both having a crush on one another. Willa's best friend told JD, Willa wasn't interested in him because she liked the quarterback. So JD never got up the nerve to asks her out. Now JD plays professional football and Willa is a newspaper reporter. When the sports reporter falls sick, her boss asks Willa to step up and go interview the players after their game. Willa doesn't think she'll run into JD because he doesn't like doing interview, but he's told he has to do the interview or he'll get suspended. When Willa asks JD a question he instantly knows it's her, and he answers her question. Then JD has her escorted to the back away from all the other reporters. She can't believe he remembers her then offers her the only interview he'll give. She has to spend a week at his home and he's hoping to make it permanent. He takes her with him when he changes in the locker room then walks her out with him to his SUV. She tells him her car is one the other side of the parking lot but he tells her they'll get it later, he doesn't want to leave her out of his sight. He orders food to be delivered to his home, when it arrives, they sit and eat. He finds out she's a virgin and she finds out he's also a virgin and she is shocked. They're both been saving themselves for each other. He kisses her good night and she goes to the guest bedroom for the night. The next morning she's drinking the coffee he left for her staring out into the back yard watching JD workout. He see her and stares at her then walks into the kitchen and kisses her. Then picks her up and sets her on the counter, he tells her he'll make her breakfast then she can start interviewing him. She tells him to go shower and she'll make him breakfast, he starts to protest but she tells him she has to do something for the next week. After they eat they head to his office, the questions she asks him he knows she's been following his career. He tells her he wants to taste her and she leans in for a kiss, he tells her that's not what he meant. He lays her down on the plush rug, he pulls her shorts and panties down and she tries to cover herself up. He tells her not to cover up, he's dreamed about this, then he puts his mouth on her. He picks up the pace when her hip come off the ground. They lay together and then he asks her if she'll go out to dinner with him tonight. Then they take a nap together until it's time to get ready for their night out. When she comes downstair he tells her she look beautiful and gives her some flowers. Then he gives her a long jewelry box with a necklace inside, she asks him if he'll help her with it. As they are eating, one of JD teammates stops by their table, JD recognizes the woman as one that has hit on him before, but he wasn't interested. JD introduces Willa and they are happy for JD. Willa excuses herself when the waitress asks if they want dessert. Willa is washing her hands when the woman she was introduced too early comes in. The woman tells Willa she knows all about her. She tells Willa she hopes JD gets her out of his system so he can move on, give the woman who are more worthy a chance. Willa can't look at her or she'll break down, she leaves the restroom. JD asks her if she okay and she tell him she's alright. After they get home he tells her he wants to know what's wrong, Willa tells him she doesn't want to be a conquest to him, just because he couldn't have her in high school. She tells him she can't just walk away from him, he means something to her. She tells him she needs him as the tears flow down her cheeks. He tells her he needs her also and tells her to come with him. He takes her to his bedroom and tells her to look at his nightstand, then he tells her to look at her dresser. He carries a box from the closet, and sets it on his bed, she is shocked when she looks inside. He tells her her being here is his dream come true, everyday he's worked hard to be with her. She tells him he doesn't get it and leaves to go to the guest bedroom, when she returns he is shocked at what she has on. He tells her he's been in love with her, he told her he only wanted a week because he didn't want to scare her if she knew he wanted forever with her. She tells him she wants that too. He picks her up and she sit in his lap as he sits on the bed, she tells him she wants him to be her first. He tells her he wants her to be his first also. She unbuttons his shirt, he tells her he wants her naked. After she takes off her clothes she unbuttons his pants, she asks him to show her what to do, she wants to pleasure him like he did earlier to her. He tells her all she has to do is put her hands on him and her mouth anywhere she wants. He lays over top her but tells her he can't he can't hurt her. She pushes him back and he goes easily, she sits on top of him and asks him if that's better. She sinks down his length, he asks her if she okay and she is still with her eyes clenched shut. He tells her to look at him when she does he tells her to lean up so he can get his hand in. He presses his finger to her clit, then she slides back down on him. They both come together, then she lays on top of him. He takes her to the bathroom and they shower together, then he dries her off. He tells her she looks good wearing just the necklace he gave her. She tells him she didn't get him anything for Valentine's Day, he tells her she did, she give him her first cherry pie. She tells him she gave him her only cherry pie. He tells her she give herself to him, and that the best gift. Willa moves in shortly after that, he doesn't like waking up alone and when he does he finds her and takes her back to bed. Her article is in the paper, so she lets him read it. He's speechless after he reads it, for so long he felt he had something to prove. He tells her he loves it, she tells him he's good, he doesn't have to prove anything. He's the man she wants, he gets up and picks her up and takes her up to the bedroom. He lays her on her back and makes love to the woman that he loves, knowing he's going to put a ring on her finger, she is his now and forever.

Willa and JD have been in love with each other since high school but a supposed friend tells him she doesn’t like him so he doesn’t pursue her. Plus he had self esteem issues, he thought he was dumpy, lazy, and unattractive. Willa didn’t think so, she is a curvy woman who knows a guy as hot as JD can have any girl he wants, especially now that he’s a pro football player. When Willa is given a chance as a junior reporter who usually does humanity pieces the opportunity to report on the Knights football game she’s nervous and excited. At the post game press interview, which JD never goes to, he says ‘no comment’ to every question he is asked, until Willa asks the last question. It’s a fluff question but he shocks everyone and answers then tells her if she wants more info he will talk to her. He was done waiting, he was ready to go after her and now she here, right in front of him. He tells her he will do the interview if she does something for him. He asks her to dinner and says he will tell her what he wants after dinner. He drives her to his place and orders her favorite meal. He’s been stalking her just like she’s been stalking him and knows almost everything about her.
He tells her he wants her and she’s upset that he wants sex for an interview, but he explains that it’s her he wants but if she doesn’t want him she still get the interview. They talk it out and she learns how much he likes her and she tells him she likes him too. Tiny bit of drama when a woman who wants JD tells Willa that once he’s gotten her out of his system then he can date her. JD tells her there is no one else and there never will be, it’s only her. Their first time together is sweet, dual virgins, both had been waiting for the other. Epilogue with her article being printed and him planning to propose.
Cute couple, liked how JD improved himself for Willa, really liked that she thought he was pretty great before his “improvements”.
Wish we had gotten a second epilogue with more of their life together, it would have completed the story.

His First Cherry Pie, Book 3 of the A Double Virgin Valentine mini-series, was about JD Ryan, the Left Tackle for the Knoxville Knights, and Willa Baker, a junior reporter for the Knoxville Daily News.
JD and Willa went to high school together, and although they each liked one another back then, they were both under the impression the attraction was not mutual.
Flash forward four years after high school graduation to where JD was a much sought-after Left Tackle in football, and Will was a junior reporter for the local paper. Both still harbored feelings for the other, but they hadn't spoken since before high school graduation. Willa's news articles were normally focused on human interests, but then her boss assigned her to cover the local football game for the news reporter who was out sick. The game JD Ryan would be playing in. Not only was she to report on the game, but she was supposed to get pictures and do interviews with the team. It was common knowledge that JD didn't do interviews, so she wasn't worried about seeing him...not that he'd remember her from high school, right? Wrong.
This was a very well-written love story about two people who had secretly fallen in love with the other person but, for some reason, they never managed to get together. It was their second chance for an HEA.
There were a few moments of angst, a touch of drama, and a whole lot of chemistry that led to the ultimate moment of spice. The past was dealt with swiftly, the truths came out, and the two main characters ended up getting what they wanted...each other.
There was no push/pull between JD and Willa, and the one issue that almost interrupted their reunion was dispatched without either running away. They were both well-developed and mature, with plenty of room for growth. The only issue I had with the book was the title. It suggested that he would take her "cherry pie" and that it would be the first of many...which was not the case. Other than that, the book was really enjoyable. This story deserved a five-star rating and to be added to the Keeper for the Shelves collection.

His First Cherry Pie. A second chance romance with two inexperience virgins who had crush on each other for years but they both thought they were out of each other league. JD Ryan was a big chubby kid in high and none of the girls wanted at least so he thought. He's now famous the number one Left-tackle draft pick and now everyone wants a piece of him especially the women. Willa Banks was a nerdy girl in high school and had eyes for only one guy JD Ryan but she was too shy to approach him.
Fast forward years later JD playing in the pros and Willa is a journalist for the local paper in Knoxville and was asked to a piece on JD for her job. However, JD doesn't talk to press because he doesn't trust their motives. Willa was excited and glad for the opportunity even though she knew that she will not get close to JD. JD never goes to the press conference after the game nor answer questions so imagine Willa surprise when he was there at the press conference. She was even more shocked when he decided to grant her an interview. JD had stalked Willa's career from a far for years and Willa has done the same thing with his career even going to all his games.
They made a deal where he would give her her story in exchange she would take his virginity. He had years of fantasies and he's ready to act them out all night long. It was steamy and sensual. The chemistry between JD and Willa sizzles. The deal didn't involve them losing their hearts it's too late now. But now JD knows that Willa belongs to him, in his life his bed and forever and he's willing to do whatever it takes to prove to her that she were his. His First Cherry Pie is double virgin Insta-love with no cheating and guaranteed HEA. It was well written with world building characters and sweet storyline.

Willa and JD went to school together, they are both attracted to one another but due to interference from a supposed friend they don't end up together but they end up following each other lives.
JD plays for the local football team, he could have played for better teams but he wants to stay close to Willa, he knows all about her career and dreams of being with her. Willa is the same, she has followed his football career since school and the only reason she knows anything about football is because she has watched him play.
When Willa's editor asks her to cover a game for a sick colleague, she ends up at the game that JD is playing. JD doesn't usually give interviews, but he has to do this interview or be suspended. When he notices Willa is there he decides to take the opportunity to see if they can have a relationship, but will Willa realise that he wants a future with her and not just one night.

I enjoyed this book, I would recommend reading this book and other books in the series.

This book is about JD and Willa finding each other and their love after years of neither one of them knowing the other cared. JD is the starting left tackle of the Knoxville Knights and has always loved Willa. Willa is a junior reporter for the Knoxville Daily News and is tasked to interview the team. JD does not do interviews but for Willa he will. And this is their story. JD and Willa are wonderful together. They have loved each other ever since high school and never knew it. They finally get to explore their love and their chemistry is wonderful. This is a fun fast steamy sexy read about two people who have waited years for each other. It is a wonderful valentine story and the characters are actually fun to get to know. Really enjoyed reading this book. Look forward to more of these steamy sweet love stories.

Hope Ford joins the awesome A Double Virgin Valentine series with the awesome His First Cherry Pie. JD, a pro football player, has had eyes for only one woman since he was in high school: Willa Banks. The feeling has been very mutual - and when the sports reporter at the local paper where she works is out sick, she is sent to cover the Knoxville Knights' game, and JD in particular. Both have followed each other's careers, neither realizing that they each wanted the other when they were in school. Now that their trajectories have put them in each other's paths, neither is going to let the opportunity go. JD and Willa have so much chemistry, and he is swoon-worthy and she so authentic, that is impossible not to root for their HEA from the very beginning of their story. A wonderful Valentine's romance, and the perfect addition to this excellent series about mutual firsts!

Sem complicações

Um romance rápido, sem muita enrolação, sobre duas pessoas que se amavam há anos, mas não faziam ideia de que eram correspondidas. Acrescente nesse meio aí um baita de um mal-entendido e o que temos são 4 anos de chances desperdiçadas, mas que felizmente estavam prestes a serem recompensados.

Alguns pontos me incomodaram, tipo: ele tinha certeza que ela não queria nada com ele quando ele era gordinho, mas não tinha amor próprio o suficiente e, mesmo acreditando que ela poderia querê-lo agora só pela sua fama e dinheiro, estava disposto a se submeter a isso, porque não conseguia esquecê-la. Fala sério, se esse fosse o caso mesmo ele deveria se amar mais e encontrar alguém que fizesse o mesmo. Sorte a dele que a mocinha não era nada daquilo e que ela era super gente boa, super apaixonada por ele desde sempre.

No geral, foi uma história legal, uma boa distração. Valeu a leitura!

This novelette is a virginity fantasy. Willa and JD both had a crush on each other in high school. They both thought that it was unrequited, and later they both spent years obsessing about their crush, even a bit of stalking every now and then. Now JD is a professional football player who never gives interviews, but when Willa shows up at the press conference he's willing to give her one. When Willa asks him what he wants it turns out he wants to lose his virginity to her. It was a nice change from the usual serial-playboy-seduces-virgin storyline that they were both equally inexperienced. (Despite the inexperience they seem to know what they were doing.) But I didn't like the way he presented sex as a condition for giving her an interview after he'd heard her boss telling her that her job would be on the line if she failed to interview him. Not cool, JD, way to make a girl feel coerced to have sex. But he walked it back later so I guess he realized it was a sleazy move.

Willa and JD went to school together and were friends. JD was a chubby kid in high school with a big crush on Willa but he was to nervous to make any moves. Willa was interested in JD but he never seemed to show interest in her. Then they went away to college. JD worked out and got on the football team and became a star. He even jot a spot on a team near the college Willa attended. When Willa graduated, she stayed in Knoxville because she enjoyed watching JD play. It was her guilty pleasure. Then her boss gave her the assigment of her career. She is to go to the game and cover it. Willa is excited even though she knows she won't get close to JD. JD never goes to press conferences or answers questions. She is shocked when he is at the press conference and even more shocked when he seems interested in giving her an interview. Maybe this second chance is just what they needed.

Wonderful story. JD has loved her since high school and that was four years ago. Willa always wanted him, too. But, she thought that he hated her. JD tells her that someone in high school told him that she liked someone else. They see that so much time has been stolen from them and won’t let anymore pass without being together. When someone tells Willa that she is just a stopover and JD needs to get her out of his system so he can move on she begins to have doubts about him. Can Willa believe him when he says that he wants forever with her? Not everyone can be happy for you so be happy for yourself.

Willa has been in love with JD since high school. She thought that JD would never be interested in her. Willa is a journalist who normally writes human interest pieces. Her boss asks her to cover the football playoffs. She then goes to the interview room in which JD has been told that he has to talk to the press. Willa asks a question, JD hears her voice and the two will hopefully get a chance at HEA.

This was such a sweet story by Hope Ford. I loved every second of it. I wish it was longer. I loved JD and Willa.

JD and Willa knew each other in high school and had crushes on each other. They just never told each other though. Fast forward to years later and Willa is told by her boss that she needs to cover the football game for a fellow reporter. JD has been the left tackle for team and has been amazing at it. He wants to prove that he is worthy of the woman he loves. Willa and JD meet up in the press room. JD offers her a chance to write an exclusive on him in exchange to spending a week with her. Will they finally tell each other how they have always felt?

When I first opened this book I thought I opened up the book wrong that I missed a book somewhere, in the first paragraph is a sex scene. Absolutely loved it. True the guy was sleeping but hey you know it's one hell of a way to start up a book.

So I'm not sure how I ended up with this book getting on my Kindle and it's there so I decided to read it because you know it's there in it and it looks cute! Well I'm glad I opened it up because it's only an hour read but it's a really good hour-long read.

There are four in the series by four different authors. They're all about popping your cherry. I owned two of them. Already read the first two. Bought the second two and I will finish him and I'll finish all four within the next few hours.

This is a cute novella about JD and Willa who loved each other since high school, but due to miscommunication and outside interference they thought the other did not reciprocate their feelings. But their feelings never faded and after college they never left their hometown hoping one day to rekindle. They have saved themselves for the hope of each other. JD is now a professional football player and Willa is a reporter. She must fill in for a fellow reporter covering a game, JD never gives interviews but when he sees her in the press room he offers her boss his interview if it’s Willa that does the story. He sets out to win her heart, to be her one and only and his forever.

This story was a refreshing change of pace with spice. Enjoyed it!

JD is now a pro football player who doesn't do interviews that all changes when Willa shows up at press conference. He'll do an interview with her he doesn't plan on letting her slip away from him. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this sweet and steamy story to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

Both JD and Willa had crushes on each other in High School. Both were too shy to tell the other how they felt let alone have a conversation. Willa has followed JD’s career throughout the years and can’t believe she gets the opportunity to not only interview him for a story but actually write an article for her newspaper. JD has made all his career choices with Willa in mind and now he can actually sit and talk to her but hopefully get the courage to tell her how he really felt. This was a heartwarming second chance at love romance. The characters had an amazing connection and were truly meant to be together.
