It’s a modern double-virgin romance with a hoedown and homemade cherry pie. It’s dirty, delicious, and finger licking good.
Cowboy Cole has his eyes set on the rancher’s niece Laura. When he hears about a fundraiser by the local Ladies' Support Society at the upcoming barn raising, where baskets of home cooked meals will be auctioned off to cowboys for dinner dates, he knows he must win Laura’s.
But Laura doesn’t trust cowboys. Her Pa is one and nothing but trouble, left her to fend for herself, and is the reason her heart is so closed off.
The auction is Cole’s opportunity to prove he’s the man she needs.
Frankie Love writes filthy-sweet stories about bad boys and mountain men. As a thirty-something mom to six who is ridiculously in love with her own bearded hottie, she believes in love-at-first-sight and happily-ever-afters. She also believes in the power of a quickie.

His Innocent Cherry Pie de Frankie Love
Argumento:
Laura grew up with a hard drinking cowboy as a father. When he would go on his drinking binges or became to unbearable, she would visit the ranch run by her aunt and uncle. In Laura's mind, cowboys never settle down and are only out for a good time. She swore that she would never be with a cowboy because she wants a man who wants a home and family. When one of her uncle's cowboys, Cole asks her out, she turns him away explaining her decision to never date a cowboy. However the annual Valentines barn raising and dance is coming up and the Ladies Social Society is doing their picnic basket auction again. Cole surprises her and bids a record amount for her basket. He is hoping to change her mind.
Cole is a cawboy who knows what he wants and goes after it. He has dreamed of having his own place so after he got a job on the ranch, he bought his own property and has started to build his new home. He sees Laura reading on the porch every day and is determined to win her as his own. First he has to get the nerve to ask her out. He is devasted when she turns him down saying she doesn't date cowboys. He is determined to win the auction for her picnic basket and a date even is he has to spend a bunch of his savings. He will change her mind.
This is a sweet book with both characters having their v-card. Ireceived a copy of this story and this is my honest review.
Laura has a difficult home life, so she spends quite a bit of time at her aunt and uncle’s ranch. She may be attracted to Cole however she doesn’t plan on pursuing that attraction as she has her reasons for not wanting to get involved with a ranch hand.
Cole was enchanted by Laura from the moment he saw her, so he is determined to win her picnic basket and a date with her and show her that he is much more than his occupation.
Cole was swoony as he went after the woman who claimed his heart and was determined to show her that he is man for her.
Laura has had a difficult life with her cowboy father. She avoids him as much as possible, spending time at her relatives’ ranch. Although Cole catches her interest, she wants nothing to do with cowboys. Cole, however, was definitely attracted to Laura.
The opportunity to win Laura’s heart came when he hears about a fundraiser for a barn raising. If he wins Laura’s picnic basket of food, they will have a date to get to know each other. Can he convince her that they belong together?
This was such a cute romance! I love Cole as he is an absolute sweetheart as is Laura. I adore how he won Laura over, and the chemistry between them was sizzling hot enough to melt my Kindle. Though fast-paced, I felt that there was enough depth to the characters and really enjoyed this story.

His Innocent Cherry Pie, Book 2 of A Double Virgin Valentine mini-series, was about 25-year-old Cole (no last name given), a cowboy working at the Callaway Ranch, and 21-year-old Laura Callaway, the niece to the owner of the Callaway Ranch.
Cole had been working on the Callaway Ranch for six months when Laura returned to live with her aunt and uncle. Once he saw her, he was smitten. On his days off, he worked to clear the ten acres he'd purchased so he could build a house and settle down. He hoped to one day win Laura's hand and make a home with her there.
After a barn raising on Valentine's Day, the locals all got together for an auction where all the adult, single women competed by making a food basket to auction off to all the adult single men. Whoever won their basket became their date for the night. They would go on a picnic together, share the basket of food, and then go to a dance held in the barn the men had just built. Cole competed, and won her basket, instead of the banker that was bragging about winning it for the second year in a row.
It was during the picnic that Cole learned that Laura was against getting involved with a cowboy. It was because her drunk, cowboy father set such a bad example for her growing up, that she vowed to never get involved with a cowboy. They were too shiftless and untrustworthy...in her opinion. He pointed out how she was judging all cowboys from the actions of a single man.
While this story was sweet, and there was a small amount of angst and drama, it was more than a little disappointing. That's mainly because of how the FMC went from hot to cold, and back again, so many times that this reader's head started hurting. She was just so wishy-washy where the MMC was concerned, and she yanked his chain repeatedly. One minute, she told him she had sworn off cowboys. The next minute, she kissed him. Then she pushed him away. But then, she grabbed his hand and danced with him. After that, she told him she wanted him. Yes, I got a migraine from watching this trainwreck of a tennis game/romance play out.
The blurb had the story listed as "a modern double-virgin romance", but the way the author wrote the story made it feel more like an 1800s Western historical story. There was nothing "modern" about the way the characters talked, and it was boring and flat. So much so that I started falling asleep before the second chapter even started and had to step away to rest before I could attempt to finish it. I gave this only a two-star rating because the book was just too flat and unappealing.
This was a lovely hearty romance. I liked the idea of a valentines basket auction for a date. The author worked this backstory into the book well and I liked how you got that feeling and sense of community closeness from it. I liked both main characters, though I have to admit I liked the male more. I liked that he seemed real, and his character came off as reliable and stable and a perfect cowboy. He knew way his end goal was and he was prepared to go all out to get there. I did like the female but she came across as a but flighty and dare I say judgy in a way that I found unflattering, she didn't seem to want to give the male a chance and basically was blunt in telling him on their first 'date' (even though he was taken aback and slightly gutted he took it well and wasn't horrible about it at all) To begin with the male was more invested in them than she was but luckily she realised what a catch he was as he was vastly different from other men his age and finally gave in and pushed away all her preconceived notions of cowboys. Now saying all this, I very much enjoyed that the author did explain the females background and upbringing and allowed us to understand where her reluctance came from. Then the added drama near the end rounded up this, as you saw the female having to face her fears and the reason for her rashness and them even though he aunt and uncle were there to back her up, you got to see the Male get to have his Knight in shining armour moment, where he stood up for the female and proved his feelings and worth to her and she finally excepted his comfort and closeness. The ending was great and rounded up all the loose ends of the story, so that although it was a novella it was still a complete story. Ps. I really did like meeting her friends from the society and his fellow cowboy ranch hand, so I can only hope to hear more about or from them in the future!!
Laura lives on her Aunt and Uncles ranch, she has lived there on and off over the years whenever her father's drinking gets to much for her to handle. Due to this she has sworn off ever being involved with a cowboy, as her father is the worst example of one. Cole lives in the bunkhouse and works on the ranch, he has only been in town for 6 months and plans to build a home and settle in the area. He is attracted to Laura and loves to see her every morning when he passes the main house. The local town help out families that need help and when a local family needs a hand rebuilding their barn Cole offers to help. But when he finds out that there is also an picnic basket auction and dance to be held later the same day, he makes sure that he wins Laura's basket so that she will be his date for the dance. But will Cole be able to change Laura's view on cowboy's and prove to her that he is nothing like her father.
This is the 2nd book in the series, but they are not linked.

She was staying with her aunt and uncle when she could, keeping a low profile and trying to stay away from her dad when she could. He was newer in town and had it bad for her.
Our h was a romantic, but not looking for a cowboy. Our H had his eyes on her ever since he arrived in town. Sparks flew when he really tried to be around her, get in her path. Being around him was weakening her and when he finally won her over, it was full steam ahead.
The feelings she had were justified to her based on her past experiences with her dad. Our H brought up her prejudices against "his kind" into light beautifully. He was such a sweetheart and an all-around good man. Lovely that both of them had the chance to get to know one another thanks to his gentle demeanor. He changed her life and made her dreams come true. Very sweet pairing, glad to see a bright future for them together!

Frankie Love joins three of her fellow authors in the A Double Virgin Valentine series with His Innocent Cherry Pie. A cowboy intent on setting down roots in small town Texas, Cole has a thing for his boss's niece, Laura, who he gazes at every day as he heads back to the bunkhouse and she reads on the wraparound porch of the farmhouse. Never knowing her mom and having an alcoholic for a father, Laura has no intention of ever falling for a cowboy. But when Cole wins her dinner basket and gets to be her date to the annual Valentine's Day dance, the little bookwork quickly realizes that maybe she's been judging a book by its cover a little too intently. This is a sweet and super steamy novella, a can't miss read this Valentine's Day.

Another hit out of the park by this author. So much goes on in this book I want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin it for other readers. I will say I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Started off really good and exciting. I love the opening paragraph to the book so much. The best part of cole’s day is saying good morning to Laura and her saying it back. They don’t say much else to each other but he has a huge crush on her and secretly pines for her. I thought it was so cute. There whole relationship would’ve been so cute and sweet if it wasn’t going at a lightning speed pace. They talk for the first time then go on a date the next day and then he proposes to her literally the next day. One week later, their married. Uhhhh my head is spinning from all the insta love. I would’ve appreciated their connection more if their was more time in between these life changing decisions. It made their relationship seem more superficial and like 2 lovestruck dummies making rash decisions because their brains are high on love hormones.
Cole works for Laura's uncle on his ranch she's had a difficult life so she stays with her aunt and uncle. Cole knows that Laura is the woman he's meant to be his he's completely captivated by her. Laura might be attracted to Cole but she swore to herself that she'd never be with a cowboy so she ignores her feelings for the sexy cowboy. Until the annual barn raising and the ladies society auction off picnic baskets and dates to go along with the baskets and Cole is determined to win Laura's basket. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this cute story to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

Never wanting a cowboy?? This is about Cole and Laura. These two have never been in love or made it for that matter. Cole is a ranch hand in Laura’s uncle’s ranch, but from the moment that Laura walks into that house he has not been able to keep his eyes off her. Every morning is the same routine, until this day, which happens right before Valentine’s Day when he turns to see if she is sitting there and nothing! It is his day off, so he heads into town for breakfast and to run a few errands. Well, he is surprised when he notices Laura in the bookstore, and everything takes off from there. An auctioned picnic basket has some doing in how this story rushes through, but it is good! Love it!!

Last Dance. Wonderful story. Cole has been watching her all month every morning on his way to work. Laura looks perfect as she sits on the porch reading. When he sees her in town he finally gets the courage to talk to her. She doesn’t want a cowboy though because of her father. He must convince her that you can’t judge all of them the same way. After he wins her picnic basket at the auction she doesn’t look happy with him. Then she starts giving him mixed signals for the rest of the evening. Will Laura realize that not all cowboys are bad guys and give Cole a chance? The foundation is laid, build on it.

This book is a part of the A Double Virgin Valentine series and focuses on Cole and Laura. Cole has had his eye on Laura since she came back to live with her aunt and uncle. He knew he wanted her from first glance but bid his time with her until the time was right. Laura was very adamant that she never wanted to be involved with a cowboy after the way her dad was and how he treated her growing up. When Cole wins Laura's picnic basket at their towns auction, Laura quickly realizes that Cole is nothing like her dad and everything she has wanted in life. They definitely have a fast paced relationship but it was so perfect for them. This was such a great story and great addition to the series!

Cole is a cowboy looking to set down roots, Laura has moved in with her aunt and uncle but the last person she wants to get involved with is a cowboy. His innocent Cherry Pie is a heartwarming story. Laura feelings towards cowboys has more to do with her father than Cole himself. Cole takes the time to understand Luara objections and a does his best to show that he is nothing like her dad. Laura has a big heart and fights her feelings for Cole, but when she sees for who he is, Laura can't help but fall in love.
Cole and Laura's story is a sweet steamy read that pulls you in fast and hard. Their is a bit of family drama, but nothing Cole is not willing to handle.

This was a beautiful story. Cole was a cowboy working to save money to build a home and Put down roots. Laura had gone to stay on her aunt and uncles ranch to get away from her father. Cole loved her from the moment he set eyes in her. Laura wanted nothing to do with cowboys like her dad. Cole wins a date with her at the Valentine’s dance auction and takes his opportunity to show her how he feels. Beautiful, romantic story with lots of chemistry, heat and steamy scenes. Cole is a wonderful, protective hero who is perfect for Laura. The HEA is amazing

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is a sweet romance story between Cole and Laura. Cole works on the ranch that her uncle and aunt own. He knew from the first moment that she was it for him. Laura was attracted to him also but he was a cowboy. She stays away from them for her own reasons. A picnic is going to give Cole the opportunity to show her how serious he is about her and the future he wants. I liked the storyline and both of the characters. Laura learns that he is nothing like her fears.

This was cute. I'm loving this series so far. These two seemed like a young couple in love but not knowing how the other felt. Plus with Laura's history with her dad, she wasn't willing to trust cowboys. Cole was just too good though! Good man, good character and he worked to get Laura to trust him. Laura's constant back and forth and push and pull with Cole was tiring and really made me feel bad for him! Especially after getting his POV and knowing what a good guy he was. I think this really picked up halfway through the book and it was a great HEA for these two.

I love a good short easy romance. This was a cute story, the characters were a bit predictable, but the meet cute was creative and fun. Nothing like a long time town tradition of bidding on baskets created by local single women to bring some competition to the story. The two main characters have to overcome some preconceived notions but ultimately find their way to each and realize that firmly held beliefs can always be changed by the right person. These characters are more than their double V cards thank goodness!

Laura might have had one solid rule... no cowboys... but Cole wants the chance to prove to her that he is the one for her. He knows from the moment he saw her that she was his love and he wants a chance to prove his worth to her... little did he know that she needed a little more convincing, lol! Even though I did love their super sweet romance, I found myself a little frustrated with her wishy-washy feelings and the fact that she would say and do very different things. But in the end, their love and connection was stronger than her doubts! A fun, sexy, and sweet story!!!

Cole is the real thing. A cowboy with heart that's not afraid of settling down and putting down roots. Laura is more than scared. She didn't want a cowboy because of her father but she finds that Cole is different than her father. Cole has loved Laura since she came to her Aunt and Uncle's ranch a month ago. Laura finds that when she opens her heart to Cole on the picnic that she's finding she also loves Cole. Little drama when her father shows up drunk but Cole is prepared to whisk his love away. All it took was a picnic basket to bring these two together.

4.5 Stars I thought that this was a wonderful book. I really enjoyed Laura and Cole's relationship. Cole knew that as soon as he saw Laura that she was the one for him. Laura is very guarded and will do anything to protect her heart but in doing so, it could cause her some real. I really enjoyed this book and thought that this was a great addition to this series. I would recommend this book and Ms. Frankie as a wonderful author.

His Innocent Cherry Pie by Frankie Love. Super cute and sweet story about a young couple who feel an instant attraction but are both feeling shy about taking the first step. Cole is a man who knows what he wants, he works hard, and knows he is the one for Laura and she is meant for him. Laura is at her uncles where she feels at home and cared for. Charming small-town drama, with plenty of feels, and once these two connect- tons of heavy heat follows. I enjoyed this story and would recommend to others. This is a steamy and sweet read that features Cole and Laura. The story is a double virgin read which is kind of cute and special. Laura has had a difficult home life so she spends as much time as possible at her aunt and uncle's place. Cole has been crushing on Laura for sometime. Although she is attracted to him as well she does not have a good opinion of cowboys. When the Ladies' Support Society holds an auction he sees his chance. Let the fun and passion begin. This story is part of a multi-author collection of stand alone Valentine's Day reads.
The ranch hand and the owner's niece come together in this steamy valentine’s day romance. This story has everything you want, from sweet southern manners to a barn raising and even a date auction with homemade picnics. Let Cole sweep you off your feet as he finally makes his move on Laura and shows her the life they could have together.
