His Tasty Cherry Pie

Rate this book
My father blew up my life.

Shattered it. Destroyed it. Kicked it in the balls.

He caused a worldwide scandal for my family and now there’s nowhere safe for me to go.

So, I flee New York City and hide in Bridgeworth Pines.

It’s a small town in the middle of Connecticut.

I’m living with my crazy aunt while struggling with my new job at the local bakery.

It’s going great, thanks.

But it gets much better when my boss’s son Malcolm walks in.

He’s turning everything around.

Including me.

Twisting and bending me over the counter in more positions than I can count.

The ovens aren’t the only thing heating up the bakery this Valentine’s Day.

Once Malcolm has a taste of my cherry pie, he’s going to be one obsessed alpha.

And I’ll finally be able to live in the moment for a change…

…loving every second of it.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Read this great Valentine novella buy the queen of the OTT hero.

Charlotte is forced to move to small town after her father causes a scandal. She is not happy to be there and she gets a job at the local bakery where she meets Malcolm. Malcolm’s mother owns the bakery and he works for her. He is the typical all American good boy and he likes Charlotte.

This was a very well written book and I enjoyed it. Doesn’t matter if the guy is a virgin but in this book he is but he sure knows what he is doing. It does takes a while to get into the action…lol. Overall a good quick read.

💪💜Malcolm Burns-26-

He’s beautiful. He’s a New York ten. He’s a ten wherever he goes.
I swallow hard when I see the way his arm muscles flex as he grabs the counter to pull himself up.
He’s taller than me and much wider too. My eyes are level with his lips and they are something special to look at.
Stop staring at his lips. Please.
My mouth waters as I turn away, getting back to work mangling these danishes.

🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁

“You have a pretty laugh.”
“Thank you.” You have a pretty everything.

🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁

He puts a bowl of butter in the microwave, melting it as he puts the finishing touches on the dough. His tattooed forearms are all flexed and tight as he smooths the dough out perfectly.
“I did the same thing, but mine was all lumpy.”
He smiles as he looks down at me. My toes curl inside of my shoes. “You’ll get the hang of it. It’s all in how you use your hands.”
I want to learn more about how he uses his hands when the microwave beeps.

🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁

“Everything smells so good,” I say as he reaches over and pulls a tray of croissants out of the oven. “How do you have abs while working here?”
He stops what he’s doing and looks at me with raised eyebrows. My stomach sinks when I realize what I just said. How stupid are you, Charlotte? Jesus.
“I didn’t mean—”
“It’s okay,” he says with a grin. “I do have ‘em.”
He pulls up his shirt and my mouth drops when I see a perfectly defined six-pack staring back at me. My mouth waters as I stare at it in awe.
I try to pry my eyes away from it, but I can’t. It’s got a hold on me. He has a hold on me.
“Stop showing off your stomach!” Lindsay says as she walks in and slaps the back of his head with an oven mitt. “She’s our employee! You need to act professional!”
“What?” he says with a grin and a shrug. “She asked to see them!”
Lindsay’s heated eyes dart to mine.

😭😭😭😭😭😭😭I AM FUCKING CRYING LIKE A FUCKING LOON BECAUSE I AM FUCKING ALONE ON Vs DAY AND I WANT FUCKING ADORABLE MALCOLM TO COME AND FUCKING GET ME.

WHY AM I SO FUCKING USING THE WORD "FUCKING SO MUCH?"
😭😭😭😭😭😭

💓Charlotte Oberman-23-

It’s so hard to concentrate on work when Charlotte is within view. She’s both elegantly beautiful and drop-dead sexy at the same time. I can’t stop looking at her. I can’t stop thinking about her.
She’s taken over my mind. I’m already obsessed with this enchantress.
I’ve been trying to play it cool all day, but it’s fucking hard and getting even harder.
She bends down to grab an empty tray on the lowest rack and I let out a groan when I see her round ass in those tight black pants. She’s killing me over here.

🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁

A little impractical ..but okay...-This beauty deserves a billionaire to spoil her and give her everything she desires. I’m not a billionaire yet, but I’ll work on becoming one every single day until I can give her the lifestyle she deserves.

🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁

I don’t know what comes over me, but before I can stop myself, I’m gently touching her chin and raising her head back up. Her beautiful hazel eyes land on mine and my breath catches in my throat. I’ll never get used to the stunning sight of her looking at me. I just know that when we’re together for fifty years, she’ll still be able to rock me with one look of those breathtaking eyes.

🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁

✅Dual Virgins.

“Am I going to be the first to bite into this sweet cherry pie?” His eyes darken as he waits for my answer. I don’t know what he’s capable of, what he would do if I said no. I know he’s possessive of me. I know he’s obsessed. I don’t mind a damn bit and I’m happy I’m able to give him the answer he wants.
“I’m a virgin,” I say in a moan. “Never been touched until now. Never been kissed until yesterday.”
His sexy lips curl up a little as he watches me. “That’s my good girl. You waited for me. You waited for your man and I’m going to make sure that wait was worth it. I’m going to make you cum so many times you’ll lose count.”

✅No-cheating.

✅No-angst.

✅Butt Load of Baked goods.

✅No sex scene with OP.

✅Enough hotness to bake a 100 Cherry pies.

✅HEA.

✅Epilogue- One year + 25 years out. 5 kids.

“Will you be my Valentine, Charlotte?”
That smile… God, it wrecks me every time. It feels like she’s grabbing my heart and squeezing it.
“Depends,” she says with a grin. “What kind of benefits do I get as Malcolm Burns’ Valentine?”
I step in and take her in my arms. “You get the full package. Anything you want. Anything you’re ready for.”
“A kiss?”
I lean in to kiss her soft lips, but she puts a palm on my chest to stop me.
“Is it safe to kiss outside in the winter?”
“What do you mean?”
“Are our tongues going to stick together?”
I laugh as I look at her. She’s so damn cute.
“If there’s one person I wouldn’t mind getting my tongue stuck to, it’s you.”
She laughs. “Awww. That’s sweet in a weird gross kind of way.”

I was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed this novella even if some scenes made me cringe a little. Thankfully, there weren't many. I thought the pace was pretty decent and it really helped in making the insta-love feel organic and natural. I also loved that the story happened in a bakery, it was super sweet and romantic.

Charlotte was a likable heroine who was very normal. And by that I mean that nothing really stood out. She was pretty laid back and relatable. Something that I liked about her was the fact that she had to adapt to her new life/situation and even if she was a bit reluctant at first, she was willing to learn.

He’s sweet, charming, gorgeous, and sexy. But at the same time, I can tell he’s got another side to him. A dark, alluring side that has no qualms about shoving his girl against the wall as he takes her from behind. That sweet mouth can turn dirty on a dime. I can tell. I can tell in the way his hands were squeezing me just tight enough to let me know that he’s the boss. I can tell by the way his intense possessive eyes shine whenever he looks at me.
-Charlotte

As for Malcom, he was very charming. He was slightly over the top at times, very possessive and protective of Charlotte. I think only one scene bugged me (the paparazzi one) but other than that, I didn't mind his OTT behavior all that much. Even if he was deadset on making her his wife after meeting her, I liked that he actually took the time to get to know Charlotte before becoming intimate with her.

She’s not just my Valentine. She’s my everything. And one day, she’ll be my wife.
-Malcom

It was nice that the author took the time to develop the relationship. Obviously, both characters had a crush on each other, and they were aware of the attraction between them, but they didn't act on it until later, which I really appreciated. The story didn't feel rushed, the timeline made sense and the characters were cute together.

Would I recommend this novella? I would. Cute little novella for Valentine's day, or when you feel like reading a low angst, no drama type of romance with a dual virgin couple.

This one was alittle hard for me to enjoy because I didn't enjoy Charlotte she was to spoiled and complained few times about living the poor life. All thanks to her dad who ruined her life by robbing so many peoples and having the world hate her. So she has to get a job at a bakery and bake which she's horrible at. She meets the owners son Malcolm who's already sprung for her he doesn't care what her father did he'll make sure shes taken care of. Malcom helps her bake pays for the goodies she ruins becomes a alpha when paps find her.
It's a okay novella.

No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary character, tiny drama, both virgins

DNF @ 21% and I’m soooooo disappointed.

To give the author credit, the writing was well done. It was just every single character I had a problem with.

I was really looking forward to this series, I love a virgin hero but everyone in this entire town except the hero is a horrible person and that includes the heroine. EVERY PERSON.

The first chapter and a half is just Charlotte whining and complaining about EVERYTHING.

-the maple syrup isn’t real
-she has to work in a bakery for “a few dollars”
-she doesn’t have her clothes and makeup so she should jump in front of a car
-no one in this town will be attractive because she’s from New York, people are just hotter there

I could go on and on.

Then we meet the hero and he’s so nice to her and I just want to ask WHY? She’s a bitch!

I actively DONT WANT this girl to find love. I want her to be alone FOREVER.

I mean, hopefully the author is going for a character arc where the heroine will become a better person and maybe magically every single person in the town will get a better attitude but I could bring myself to stick around to find out.

This was simple, and short, with zero drama.
There was insta-love, double virgins, baked goods, some cheesy innuendo, and plenty of steam.
The dirty talk was hot as hell in this one.
There was some very light praise, and I would say there was some even lighter degradation but it was only them throwing the word ‘slut’ or ‘slutty’ around inside their heads. None of that was spoken.

But it was hot.
If you’re looking for a small little dose of smut to put some pep in your step, I’d definitely recommend.

This has to be one of the sweetest Valentine’s Day romances I have had the pleasure of reading. Olivia brings her signature OTT style with a swoon-worthy alpha hunk that is done waiting when he meets his soul mate.
Malcom and Charlotte’s story is all the insta-everything you hope for but with a little more. This has all the instalove and steam but without the millionaire status, which I adored! I really enjoyed seeing these two dance around their feelings towards one another and how Charlotte fell in love with the little town she left New York for. Along with Malcom not having all the money in his bank account already made for a more heart (and panty) melting hero in my eyes.
This one had me smiling as I devoured the words. Malcom was sweet and patient but don’t let it fool you because this man nearly set my kindle ablaze. I loved everything about it and devoured it this morning before I started work. It was definitely the perfect “warm me up” for this rainy day and I can’t wait to see what Olivia brings to my kindle next.

I thought that Charlotte and Malcolm's was fantastic. I loved the connection and chemistry between Charlotte and Malcolm. Charlotte is struggle since her life got turned upside down but everything seems to get better once she see Malcolm. Malcolm has been in love with Charlotte as soon as he found out about her and feel even harder when he finally meets her in person. These two are crazy hot and perfect for each other. This was an awesome start to a new series and I can't wait to see what in store for us next! I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it and Ms. Olivia as a must read author.

Charlotte is new to town and her reputation proceeds her. Beginning again at the favor to a family friend, she learns to move on and find contentment. Malcolm is the one she never say coming. He is sweet and kind, understanding and patient with her. Underneath all that though beats the heart of a man who has found his forever.

This story is quick but has a full book feel. It is sweet read with a little tartness like a cherry. A perfect addition to the series.

A 3.8 quickie

So I like the build up, the tension was on point! It was a quick read and wowzerz was it hot! I never really thought I’d like the use of Breeding but I did enjoy it in the possessive way Malcom used it.

The only thing is it was such a good build up and the story was doing so good, but then it felt super rushed in the end. I know it’s a short book, and maybe I just was enjoying it so much I didn’t want it to end lol.

deliciously sweet❤️🍒❤️🍒❤️🍒

This author always comes thru in delivering a wild, over the top, steamy, sweet and 100% safe read! She never lets me down. I know my hero is going to be utterly obsessed and devoted to the heroine, he won’t have eyes or attention on anyone other than “his girl.” And I know the heroine will be sweet, innocent and so ready to be claimed by the hero.

This one was doubly sweet as it’s double virgins. Charlotte has lost everything after her father is sent to prison for defrauding investors. She’s scared, alone and heartbroken as she struggles to find her place in a life she never expected or prepares for. Like getting a job in a small town bakery.

Malcolm is the owner’s son and all it takes for him to know that Charlotte is “his one” is one look. She’s his and he is hers, the one he has been waiting for and he will do whatever he can to protect her—whether it’s from his mom or other men or sleazy photographers trying to snap a pic of a disgraced socialite. He won’t let anything harm her.

100% safe read. Double virgins, they belong only to each other. No others, no cheating, or abuse of any kind. Lots of breeding. HEA with two epilogues (1 year and 25 years out)

Fabulous, absolutely love this one. A nice quick short read.

Malcolm meet Charlotte when she comes to work at his mother's bakery. Charlotte moves to to Bridgewood Pines, Connecticut to move in with her Aunt Tracy. Her father told people he was investing their money but was spending it, her mother left the country. Now her father faces prison, and Charlotte aunt is the only one who will take her in. Her Aunt Tracy gets her a job at the bakery, but she's never even cooked. After she fumbles trying to make some baked goods. Malcolm comes in, she doesn't realize at first he's the owner's son. He comes in and finds Charlotte crouched behind the counter, she tells him she lost her contact. He helps her and shows her how to make all the baked goods. After they clean up for the day, he walks her back to her aunt's house. The weekend comes and it's very busy, Charlotte takes a moment to compose herself. The next day Charlotte and Malcolm open together, they have to make cherry pies for Valentine's Day, it's their best seller. When a man from the paparazzi walks in and starts snapping pictures of Charlotte Malcolm kicks him out. He takes the memory card from the camera and smashes it. Malcolm tells her he's taking care of her now. Malcolm takes a moment for himself, it's getting harder to work along side Charlotte. She finds him outside, she asks him if he's alright. He tells her they belong together, she's the one for him. When he leans in to kiss her his mother calls him, but he blocks the door so he can finally kiss Charlotte. He walks her home once again, they are going to be closing together on Valentine's Day. He asks her if she'll be his Valentine, she tells him yes. When Charlotte runs to the storage closet Malcolm goes in after her, he tells her he wants to feel how wet she is for him. He makes her cum before returning back to work. They have a busy day at the bakery, probably one of the best. After everyone leave, they clean up, then Malcolm tells Charlotte to put an apron on and only the apron. When she comes out he sets her on the table and pleasure her, it the first time for both of them so they take their time pleasuring each other. He asks her if she okay and she tells him she thinks so. She gives him her virginity and he give his to her. Two months later Charlotte is doing an amazing job. When Malcolm comes into the bakery he closes up and puts a sign up, one his mother would never approve of. She pleasures him, in the back storage closet. One year later Charlotte gives her Aunt the bike she always talked about. When Charlotte found out she was pregnant Malcolm married her. They bought a house a few blocks away from her Aunt Tracy. Malcolm's mom retired and moved to Florida, giving them the bakery to run. Malcolm pulls out a bike for Charlotte, she never learned how to ride living in New York City. Malcolm helps her ride but then she crashes into a stop sign, when he runs up to her she asks him to do it again. Twenty five years later, when Malcolm purchased a penthouse condo she told him she didn't want to live in the city anymore. They have bakery's all over the county now, they became Muti-millionaires. They have five children, three girls and two boys. He brings her red roses and a cherry pie for Valentine's Day. As they try to recreate their first Valentine's together.

His Tasty Cherry Pie, Book 1 of A Double Virgin Valentine series, was about 26-year-old Malcolm Burns, the son of Lindsay Burns, the local bakery owner, and 23-year-old Charlotte Oberman, the daughter of Walter Oberman, the CEO of Oberman Technology, and the self-proclaimed entitled (former) rich girl-turned-homeless waif.

After her father, a con artist pretending to be a legitimate business owner, "blew up her life" in New York, Charlotte found herself penniless and living with her "odd" aunt in some obscure town in Connecticut. Her aunt got her BFF to give Charlotte a job at her bakery (seriously? The girl was a socialite who never lifted a finger to do a hard day's work in her life and you put her in a job like a bakery?!). On her first day, she had already been recognized and denigrated by customers for what her father had done. Then, to make matters worse, she overheard her new boss telling her "gorgeous" son, Malcolm, that she should never have hired her and how incompetent she actually was. To make matters worse, he found her cowering behind the counter, so he knew she had listened in on the exchange between him and his mother.

While there was a tiny bit of angst and drama, this story was a bit drab and boring. There wasn't any real push/pull between the main characters, and there wasn't any real conflict to give the book some grit. It was completely bland, and that included any spicy scenes (which weren't many).

The FMC was the very definition of an "entitled (former) rich kid" with a "whoa-is-me" attitude because her rich daddy blew up her life. This girl had a bad attitude from the opening sentence of the story. She was 23, never had a job, had a "black American Express card" from the age of 16, and couldn't reconcile herself with "normal", everyday, hardworking people. Definitely NOT a good example for the "heroine" of a love story. She was in such a self-pitying mood while walking to her first day at her first job that she actually thought she'd be better off if she'd "just run in front of the first car driving and end it all". This attitude of the FMC went on for the first four chapters before it started to give way to something different. Seriously?! That's the best the author could do for the heroine of her book?!

The MMC, although well-developed and fleshed out, was boring and one-dimensional. While he had life goals he wanted to meet, he wasn't honestly focused on the future...or at least not as much as he was on the FMC.

There were points in this story that had some potential of creating conflict, like with the mother of the MMC who didn't like the FMC all that much. Also, another character, who was a friend of the MMC, could have created some drama. Even the father of the FMC could have been used to make some kind of stink for the story. However, the author didn't take it anywhere and didn't utilize what she had in front of her. So that left the story flat and boring. I couldn't give it more than a one-star rating.

*spoilers* Charlotte flees to Bridgewood Pines because her father caused a worldwide scandal for the family, having taken a lot of money from people. She lives with her crazy aunt and starts to work at the local bakery. She tries to be thankful but it is hard to her to adapt to small town living, being used to New York and being spoiled (but with the wrong things, which Malcolm helps her to realise). Then she meets Malcolm, the son of the owner of the bakery. He is handsome and she feels drawn to him, in her old life she knew rich and famous guys who tried to hit on her, but she never felt something, but with Malcolm there is an instant connection. He was intrigued by Charlotte when he looked her up and falls in love meeting her. He turned down every girl till now but is possessive with Charlotte and understanding and uplifting. He worries that he can not provide the life she was used to. But he stands up for her and proetct her, love has no price tag and he makes her see the positive side of this life. And besides both being untouched they are hot, naughty and sweet. The perfect mix.
Malcolm is such a sweet Valentine ott alpha. It was nearly funny when they always get interrupted and melted my heart how Malcom helped her seeing the real values in life and stood by her no matter what. And besides being spoiled Charlotte still has a sweet soul and recognizes what is important in life and what is real and fake. I loved the epilogues!

'His Tasty Cherry Pie' by Olivia T. Turner is part of the multi-author A Double Virgin Valentine series and tells the story if Charlotte, who has just moved to Bridgeworth Pines, and Malcolm, her boss's hot son. Charlotte had been living a rich, luxurious life in NYC until her father got arrested for running a ponzi scam. With no money and no friends she was lucky to move in with her Aunt Tracy and get a job at her friend's local bakery. Unbeknownst to her the bakery owner, Lindsay's, son, Malcolm, convinced his mom to hire Charlotte after he saw her pictures on the news. Malcolm was wildly attracted to Charlotte and wanted to see if she might feel the same way.

Ms. Turner has written a stellar addition to the series. The interactions between Charlotte and Malcolm are sweet and steamy. Malcolm was sweet, protective, and so patient teaching Charlotte to bake and giving her confidence. I really enjoyed this book and the journey they had to their HEA. I can't wait for the next one in the series.

After being raised in luxury, it all gets taken away, when it comes her father stole all the investors money. She wants nothing more than to get away from people and the constant looks. She leaves NYC and goes to the only place she can with no money, her aunt's house in CT. She gets her a job at the bakery in town. Unfortunately, people in town recognized her from the news, she tries to hid in the back baking, if you can call it that. When the gorgeous man walks in her boss' son, Malcolm, things might just be looking up in this town.

Malcolm knows from the first site of Charlotte, she is his one that he has been waiting for, she will be his and only his, like he will be hers. I loved this story, Malcolm was not as over the top as most of the author's leading men, but he was absolutely obsesses with Charlotte.

Charlotte's high society New York lifestyle imploded all thanks to her dad. She's left with nothing and no one except for her aunt who lives in the small town of Bridgeworth Pines, Connecticut. Her face has been all over the news and people have judged her for her father's crimes. To say starting over has been a shock to Charlotte would be an understatement. Charlotte's first day at Pie In The Sky Bakery was not going as well as she hoped. But everything changed when Malcolm came into the bakery. Not only was he the owner, Lindsay's son but he was also the one that talked his mom into hiring Charlotte. Malcolm fell in love the moment he saw Charlotte's picture. And he was determined to protect and care for her. When the two came together their chemistry was explosive. This was a drama free, fast paced story about two people that found their other half.

Great start to this series.
I loved that it was a big city girl and a small town boy coming together and despite their differences in background, they still managed to complement each other.
I liked the backstory of drama on the females side but I wasn't really a fan of how everyone treated her at the beginning, except for the male, he was different than everyone else, seeing her through all of the rumors and drama.
I can happily say though that at the end everyone got on and all lived happy together.
I loved the element of alpha that came from the male character when he went into protective mode.
The female was a strong character but when it came to their relationship she became softer and allowed him to help her and support her.
Their love story was a slow burn and I was very satisfied after reading, I didn't want it to end.
