Jason King was presented the opportunity of a lifetime: assume control of Guardian Security from the billionaire who had built the world-renowned agency. As CEO, Jason would manage the best security resources in the world. Former SEALs, Rangers, Recon, Green Berets, agents from every alphabet agency in the nation, not to mention law enforcement standouts, flocked to the organization he’d control.
But the offer came with a painful stipulation. Jason King must lay to rest the demons haunting him.
Faith Collins' stepbrother rescued her and her infant son from a hideous life, then died overseas in a black ops mission gone tragically wrong. Faith knew how to pick up and go on when things got bad. So she'd made peace with losing him--until Jason King arrived.
Neither expected their meeting would tilt the world on its axis–and offer them the solace they both desperately craved.

Loved this one!

Faith is a sweetheart not damaged by a really fucked up childhood. She is a bit insecure about her education and status (poor) but she never pushes Jason away. She has an adorable 4 year old son Reese.

Jason is pretty messed up from his history but once he meets Faith he is all in. He kept her a secret for a little long for me but it worked for them.

Jared was a shithead. Jerk.

I loved that they were both solid with each other. No relationship drama but outside action.

I do not think I need to give may safety gang spoilers. But ask if you have concerns.

The insta love was great usually its too fast and it felt rush but not this book, it felt like they knew each other for years. Jason was such a great guy and he had faith in his corner plus faith's little boy. Someone is targeting the guardians family so Jason will do whatever it takes to protect his family. Faith has been through a lot and she is doing what she can to provide for her son until Jason comes by and changes everything. I was glad he finally found love I felt like in the other books he was always working hard plus trying to become sober. Jared telling his brothers he was gay well not telling but they suspected, was a surprise for me , but it was cute because he might be into christian. Can't wait to read more of the kings

Woo hoo, I knew this one was going to be good. Listen, before I review this book you need to know I love this series. Like really love it. And so when I got to the last book that was available at the time I did what every devoted reader would do and I messaged the author to tell her I was having a heart attack because I didn't see the next one up or scheduled. She, of course, reassured me that it was not ending and that in fact there were more coming out. So last night when I got my ARC I did my happy dance to which my husband said so you'll be done tomorrow right? I responded yep. His response was, read slow! Lol

Okay, so here we go. Jason King was an Air Force pilot until a crash hurt his back and he was medically discharged because the board thought he would not be able to do it anymore. He is also a lawyer. He was also addicted to pain killers. While his family didn't see the signs at the time, Gabriel did and got Jason to rehab immediately. Jason has worked for Guardian Securities in the legal area but also on and off on missions also.

Gabriel owns Guardian Security and has decided to retire or at the very least phase out and spend some time with his wife and family. He has chosen Jason to be his CEO. Jason has told him he couldn't, but Gabriel has informed Jason how perfect he would be for the job and has asked him for a 6 month trial period.

In the trial period Jason will have to face some of his demons and get rid of them. While he will always be an addict, Gabriel has made sure there is a support system there for him. But the worst of the demons is Jason's last mission where their plane went down and he lost two of his men while then being captured and tortured himself. He must go face the families of the men he lost and make sure they have everything they need and are okay.

Faith is the sister of Theo Collin's, one of the men that was lost in the last mission. She is also a single mother and has no idea who the father is. She was traded to a rival MC for her father's debts and used. She is making a new life for herself and Reece since Theo got her out of there. That is until "Superman" (Jason) showed up in her back yard and she soaked his $5,000 suit. What a first impression.

This begins the story of Faith and Jason and it is such a good one. She is able to reach a place no one has ever been able to with Jason and shows him what forgiveness is. They show each other what love is.

Jason will have to keep Faith safe, especially after her house explodes and he will not rest until she and her son are both safe forever.

Jason is not as close to his family as some of the others are but this goes a long way to healing some of his feelings toward them.

Read about these two in this book. It's a beautiful story about imperfect people having a pure perfect love.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I can't get enough of these books and even though I was given an advance review copy by the author, I also purchased it (you have to support your authors so that they can keep writing). These are not short quick reads. They are engrossing full length books. Even though I missed the Wonder Twins, the interaction between the King siblings makes up for any disappointment due to the twins being MIA in this story. The writing is great. The characters and storyline are very well developed. After the bombs dropped in this book, I CANNOT wait for Jared's book (which is next).

(At the moment, you can get the Amazon Kindle versions of Jacob, Joseph, Adam, and the pre-order of Jason for 99¢ each - go get them!)

I received an advance copy for my review.
Jason is offered an opportunity of a lifetime but in order to accept this opportunity, after his trial period, he will have to work thru his demons. One of those demons happens to involve Faith, and you see from the beginning that she is what Jason needs to finally get rid of the past that has been haunting him. Jason also learns not to sneak up on Faith! This was an enjoyable read to see how his family tries to "take care of him", how Faith takes care of him, and how he learns to accept that asking for and receiving help is not a weakness and how much he needs his family along with needing Faith. It was nice to see him grow into the person you suspected he could become.
The action in the book both inside and outside the bedroom are hot and explosive! I would recommend this book and if you have not read the previous three, I would start those soon.
I can't wait for the next book in this series to come out!

What a great story. My only complaint is I did not read books 1 to 3. Now I have to go back. These King boys are definitely worth reading about. Jason is damaged, some post traumatic stress and some guilt from a childhood tragedy cause him to make tough decisions.
Faith, the heroin in this story, has a very traumatic and troubled past. She has pulled herself together, and has made a good life for herself and her son. These two make a wonderful couple, yet, with any good suspenseful romance there needs to be some stress, and they get it in spades. Between his job and her past, life is anything but peaceful. I am looking forward to reading more about The Kings of Guardian. This is a very intriguing story.

Jason King walked away from Guardian months ago to save himself. After suffering a debilitating back injury when serving in the Air Force as a fighter pilot and becoming addicted to prescription pain killers, every day is a struggle to remain clean. The stress of Guardian was too much especially after a disastrous mission that played out in book 1 when he lost 2 men on his team and was held captive for months. The guilt weighed heavily on him, so removing himself from DC made the most sense. Now Gabriel is asking him not only to come back but to take over as CEO of the whole company. Gabriel believes Jason is truly the most qualified person for the job and asks him for 2 things: a 6 month trial run to really test out his feelings for the position and to find closure for his guilt over the death of his men by talking to their families.

Favor #2 brings Jason to Savannah GA and a sight that almost knocks him on his butt. Faith is in the yard laughing and having fun with her 4 year old Reece trying to give their dog a bath in a white t-shirt and cutoff shorts. I loved that Reece asked Faith if she knew Superman when he spotted Jason standing in the yard as it became their nickname for him.

Faith is only 21 but she has had a hard life at the hands of her father who is also the president of an outlaw MC. She is forever grateful to her stepbrother for getting her out of the mess she found herself in before he died on the mission with Jason, but she is grateful for the gift of her son regardless of the circumstances leading to his existence. Faith and Jason may be from 2 completely opposite worlds with a bit of an age difference between them but they fall hard and fast. Faith and Reece ground Jason in a way he never expected and help him get through the day to day struggles he faces as he transitions into running the company.

Faith’s past won’t let go of her easily, and they face a new threat as an ongoing mission at Guardian takes a bad turn. Jason is an alpha protective badass on a good day, but threaten his family and he will end you! Faith and Reece definitely fall into the “family” category in his mind and he pulls out all the stops to keep them safe.

There are plenty of humorous moments to balance out the steamy and dangerous ones, particularly since Faith can be a bit clumsy when she is nervous. Her mishaps had me giggling along the way, and Reece had me melting over and over again too. As for the King family- I was really wishing for a family tree to be included in the book. I read Jacob’s book so I was familiar with Jason’s background, but keeping track of the family relationships was a bit daunting with 8 King brothers and sisters alone, never mind adding in the secondary characters and families along the way too. Even with that being said, you can definitely read Jason’s story as a standalone because all the information you need regarding his background to this point is included for ease of understanding.

I am enjoying this series so far and I will be looking forward to more of the Kings and their world in the future!

description

Jason by Kris Michaels was a great 4 star read.

Jason is carrying some very heavy baggage that has caused some addictions. When he meets Faith there is an instant connection. Faith is the half-sister to one of the men that Jason had worked with before tragedy struck during a mission.

The way these two meet was really cute. Faith is just that for Jason “Faith”. She is a strong woman that brings a little humor to the story. She also has some baggage that eventually catches up with her. Will Jason be able to protect his family?
This was a great read. I was glad to see Jason finally find someone to make him happy. It definitely wasn’t an easy road for these two. You will encounter all kinds of feelings during the read and the bedroom scenes were hot. Kris Michaels does a great job of pulling you right in.
Jason is book #4 in the “Kings of Guardian” series and can be read as a standalone. I suggest you go back to book #1 and catch up on this great series.
Thank you Kris for a great read!

firstly, my thanks to the author for supplying an ARC of Jason ... a much anticipated read for me.
this series is brilliant and this story went on to take it to new heights.
the writing is exceptional ...... a well structured and thought out story written by an author with the ability to have you there in the moment with the characters. Aside from the beautiful romances the subject matter in these books is SERIOUS, shining light on the injustices that exist in our world today. Plenty of hot sex and graphic violence but also beautiful romance and loving family scenes.
an easy five star read for me

This is actually the 1st book I've read in this series, and it was easy to follow. It tells the story of Jason, a soldier whose been damaged emotionally from on Op that went bad, and Faith, a single mother to Reece whose had her own version of Hell rained down on her. They have a love that goes from barely able to look each other in the eyes, to hotter than a supernova. Everything they go through makes them stronger !! I'm definitely going back to read the other 3 books in the series, if they are as great, sexy, powerful and explosive as this one, I'll be a very happy reader !! 5☆'s for it all !! I recieved a gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is very much an instalove situation, so if you're not incline to read such premise then you might not like how fast this story moved. I bought the insta-everthing ... the tortured millionaire hero found his lady love who happened to be a single mom and saved the day. I'm a foolish romantic like that plus I have a weakness for overly tall heroes *swoony sigh*

He is her Superman.....

....and she is his Kryptonite!
But Jason has finally found his queen and he will do everything in his power to protect her and Reece. I think Jason may just be my favourite King, he is a true warrior, we have seen him at his most deadly, at his most beaten, struggling to survive, he has scars...both visible and mental, but he is also a giant teddy bear with a huge heart. We knew that when he fell it would be hard and fast, but I could never have imagined just how fast he would fall for Reece too...the son of his heart....swoon.
He is only living half a life as he punishes himself, fighting his demons on a daily basis. She finally helps him see that he was not at fault, it is not his guilt to carry and they are not his demons to fight.....so whilst she is his weakness....she is also his strength too.
I love, love, loved this book, it is my favourite of the series so far.

This book wasn't as good as the first two in the series.
Faith lacked 'faith'. She was whiny.

It was so nice to see Jason grow and step into bigger shoes. He filled them really well.

Verdict: Moving on.

Love

This is my favorite book of the series. The action is fast moving. The imperfections of the main characters are appreciated. Their past are extreme but believable.

There is a lot at situations that all fit together seamlessly. After looking back that surprised me. I am usually a skipper. I just want to move through the book if I think it is to long and wordy but, not this book. Every bit of it flows and keeps you reading.

The love story is funny, amazing and exciting. The family dynamics are so real. Siblings are bossy, nosey and just plan buttheads. They are also very loving and caring too.

Read this one it's awesome.

Jason and Faith

This is such a great read. Jason isn’t really living. He’s angry and he’s hiding but Gabriel brings him back to Guardian Security as CEO for a six month trial period. Gabriel wants to retire. Part of the duties Gabriel gives him is seeing the next of kin of the two men he lost on his last mission. Faith is a young single mother of Reece a cute four year old son. She is the half sister of one of the men. Jason ends up wet in their first meetings and Faith makes a big impression. She calms him and centers him and Reece thinks he’s Superman and Jason will do whatever it takes to keeps them safe. Lots of action, suspense and steam.

And they keep getting better... Jason had some series demons to address before Gabriel handed over Guardian to him. What follows is a story of two people who in many eyes are broken but in reality are two of the strongest of the group. Jason and Faith and Reece stole my heart. Faith teaches Jason life happens, how we respond to that life is up to us. Jason teachers Faith she is more than her past and she is one amazing mom... add in some danger that sets up future books and one adorable 4 year old and you have an amazing addition to this series.

Re-read 2020... still loved it

Another one bites the dust! When one of the Kings fall, it's hard and fast. Jason is no exception. He is a magnificent specimen of a man physically. Mentally and emotionally he's drowning in his own guilt. That is until he meets Faith. She's guileless, beautiful both inside and out and a wonderful mother of a precocious four year old. Finding this woman finally gives him a peace he has never known. Jason's story is heavy on romance and emotional healing. There is action but it's secondary to romance. In addition Kris Michaels sets up a plotline for upcoming books. Good stuff!

Taming the Beast

Serious, intense and guilt ridden Jason King has to face his tormented past before moving up in the Guardian Security service. He meets Faith, a beautiful, sincere and haunted young single mom while on his quest. Their relationship is sexy, loving and refreshing. It is also filled with drama, suspense and danger. Beautiful to watch the suspicious, gloomy Jason awaken to a new life he welcomes with the determined Faith and her delightful young son. Russian mobs and motorcycle gangs do not know what awaits them when they take on the devastating Guardians.

I found book 1, Jacob, a few days ago. Since then I have devoured each story since. They men and women in these stories will touch you somewhere deep.

Each story is a complete, emotional rollercoaster ride! To watch the company, Guardian grow. To follow along as each main character finds themselves growing, fall in love, have ups and downs, you will not be able to stop reading!

Jason and Faith's story is my favorite so far. (However I loved all of them)
I literally laughed so hard at some parts in the book that I was crying, and then I was crying because something crazy had happened. I'm so glad Jason finally found happiness. After all of his struggles and demons, Faith and Reece brought sunshine to his world. I can't wait for the future books in this series.

Twisted and tangled

Changes. For Guardian, Gabriel and Jason. Gabriel wants Jason to step back into an executive role at Guardian, CEO. Then, an old op shows its ugly head. And Jared puts his foot in his mouth about a lady Jason is seeing. Which leads to another op. And the first one - isn't done.
