I grew up reading books and overtime the genres that I ventured reading have changed.
At my age now I would often pic the genres same as RAS but I don’t know why I love this book so much
aside from the fact ,given that it is Pierredette my faves since UT
I came to realize after a lot of rereads why I gave this 5 stars ,simply because it reminded me why I enjoyed reading when I was still young.
The plot isn’t that complicated nor mind boggling but the comfort I felt while reading brought back a lot of memories from my teenage years
the kilig , the first heartbreaks, first time having crush and falling in love, going against strict parents, fighting norms and all, speaking up to bullies, experiencing your firsts with someone, feeling alone in the midst of your friends and families
and just the overall feeling of being young and still trying to figure things out, deciding on choices we have and may not have
I mean at some point in our lives we all have been there.

I have like a readers block if that’s a thing haha - for years now I can’t seem to finish a book and all and TBWY made me love reading again
Imagine I read this while ongoing hahaha the tita in me could never imagine I still have the patience.

So kudos to Jonaxx as well ! Thank you for reminding me what it feels like to read something close to my younger self.
This is now one of my fave books of all time. Will reread this again definitely soon.
Now on to reading RAS 😊

honestly wasn't planning to read any jstory anymore bc of some reasons but since this was my most anticipated story during my [redacted] days, i gave it a try.

there's nothing so special about the plot but i enjoyed reading it. i loved the balance between fluff and angst. i enjoyed the fake dating, girl fell first but guy fell harder, and second chance romance. i also liked how the overprotective parenting style was discussed in the story. i think the only issue i have here is that i didn't like the pacing that much. i don't know but it felt kinda fast at the first half and then suddenly felt too slow till the end. nonetheless, i enjoyed it and pierredette didn't disappoint.

We're almost finished. I feel like sobrang stretched ng angst arc nito. We could have better scenes from 36-40. Maganda pero bitin siya for me.

I find it very simple to lose yourself in a book, especially one written by Jonaxx. My Montefalco heart was unquestionably content and glad because of the whole nostalgic atmosphere, which made everything seem so familiar. This narrative was actually overdue since I adore Ty and the Montefalco so much and spent so much of my childhood reading about them. When I was in elementary school, I yearned and yearned for this story, and now that I'm in grade 10, with a healthy dose of romance in my life, I'm reading it. It's adorable and definitely all I longed for.

In this story, Pierre Angelo Ty reveals his possessive, clingy, fighter, and loverboy sides. He really exceeded my expectations because I had always seen him as a nonchalant sort of partner. Knowing where Claudette's attitude and perspective evolved made me understand how familiar she is to me and how personally her character affected the entire course of the Montefalcos, which was another aspect of her that surprised me. She is an underrated genius and a fierce advocate for love. I adore the way this book discusses many forms of love, how different individuals express it, and how ready you are to make sacrifices for it. Really, it's beautiful.

This simply goes to show that no matter what kind of romance Jonaxx writes, she still kills it and does a fantastic job of making us feel connected to the storylines. It's not as intricate and heavy as previous books. I give everything she writes five stars, so this review may be a little biassed, but I adore her so much that I miss the Montefalco family and their warmth. I appreciate you, Jonaxx, for creating another familiar and beautiful work of art.

ang masasabi ko lang ay, okay na… pwede na ako magreview ng matiwasay. nabinge-rr ko na ang montefalco series 😩😂

ilang rr na ang nagawa ko sa stories ni Ate J pero after rereading this, ewan ko if i’ve thought about it the first time, but this time, narealize ko na sa lahat ng jgirls, kay Claudette ako pinaka-relate. from strict and overbearing fam to her interests hanggang sa internal turmoils nya. kaya nung dumating sa conflict, ramdam ko din yung hollowness na naramdaman nya. no matter how tight-knitted their relationship is, talagang dadating sa point where you’ll feel like no one understands. and mararanasan mo na you’re just a spectator sa happiness nila, like watching everything from a distance.

so ayun na nga. dito ko din narelize—sorry sa ibang bebe loves ko—na itong si pierre ay nasa top 3 na green flag jboy. the assurance? ang hot pare. kaya medyo nakulangan din ako sa pov nya. tapos how he would always insist to ask permission sa family? literally every girl who grew up in a strict household’s dream. EME!!

sa sobrang stress ko sa compre exams namin, i opt to read series talaga. at hindi ko tatantanan hanggang matapos ng buo. ginawa ko na namang takbuhan ang stories mo Ate J. and you never fail to give comfort through it.

looking forward to the start of the other stories in the series! 💯

I had a hard time dealing with my emotions because this evokes so much intensity. I felt so bad for Claudette. Sacrificing her own happiness just for the people she loves dearly. I was fuming mad that she's devastated without Klare and Erin knowing and doing anything to ease her emotions and help her in her situation.

I can't bottle my emotions up because I know for myself that Dette doesn't deserve this predicament. To be judged as slut, for pretending to be a nerd but a sly bitch deep within, this is bullshit and she's not worthy of such accusations. She let herself to be seen like that for Erin's sake - to save her wedding. She has the most fucked up situation among the Montefalcos for me. Klare has Elijah and her brothers and Erin has Hendrix and she's a tough one in the first place. But for Claudette, she's keeping everything up into herself, enduring the pain and suffering all alone to the point Erin and Klare didn't side with her.

But everything was all worth it when the truth prevailed. Time is the ultimate truth teller as they say. All the tears I held back was all fucking worth it. I love Claudette and for me, She's the best Jgirl in the Montefalco series.

I LOVE DETTE AND PIERRE!!

Now that I understand how Claudette and Pierre’s relationship has developed over time throughout the story.

It all began when Claudette volunteered to go on a date with Pierre, just to divert his attention away from her cousin, Klare. Then, just like that, things escalated. Both of their families disapproved of the relationship, and their cousins and siblings added to the chaos. Despite all this, Pierre was determined to win Claudette back. I really like how the book shows Claudette’s efforts to get close to Pierre from the very beginning—even up to their breakup—and how Pierre was willing to do anything to reconnect with her. Chinese traditions, or family expectations, were also portrayed in the story.

☆ University, fake dating, she falls first and he falls harder (?) HAHAHA

I can’t remember the last time I read a Jonaxx book but it was ages ago. I decided to read this now because I’ve been waiting for Claudette and Pierre’s story ever since I read the Until Trilogy. And when I tell you it did not disappoint! This book is surprisingly very angsty, though. I rarely cry. But this book made me cry. A lot. Maybe because I can relate to Claudette’s feelings at some point. So I guess it’s safe to say that this is now my favorite book of Jonaxx’s. The only thing I’d complain about is the fact that the ending was such a cliffhanger. I wanted more! It feels so abrupt. I just hope we can see more of PierreDette in the future.

this is for anyone who feels trapped in a suffocating situation, for those who feel like they can never make their own decisions because their whole life, they were taught only to follow what others decided for them. u are not alone 🫶🏼

let me share these words from our girl, Claudette Montefalco.

“Did you ever ask me what I want to do? With my life? You know, I don't know what I’m going to do kasi nasanay ako na hindi ako ang nagdedesisyon non. Until now, I feel like that is not for me to decide. That it’s for you. That I should wait for your decision”

“You said you don't want me to bow to anyone. Then why did you train me to bow to you?”

This book is very well-written. The flow of the story is superb, and the characters are so well-developed. The way Claudette and Pierre's contrasting views on love are explored is both fascinating and thought-provoking with such honesty and vulnerability.

The romance is slow-burn. Readers feeling all the butterflies fueled by their pretend relationship is absolutely electrifying. And the climax of the story, centered around Pierre's family traditions and their Chinese heritage, adds a layer of complexity.

Overall, I love this book and i highly recommend this if you want to encounter a man that will definitely make your standards high.

Ang dami kong iniyak sa story ni Dette2. Ang sikip sa dibdib every chapter grabe. Every chapter ata ako nag-a-anticipate ng merong mangyayari kaya ang sikip sa dibdib 😭 hindi ko ma imagine in real life na always nalang titingin sa likod kasi makakahabol na yung bagyong inaasahan mong dumating. Bilib ako sa pagiging matatag ni Dette. Grabe yung iniyak ko nung naiyak siya sa Hillsborough while watching the movie. 💔💔 Love you, Dette! 🤧

Easy Top 2 na agad siya sa Jonaxx stories for me. Of course, #1 pa din Klarijah for me 🥰
