Discover A Scorching New World Of Immortals In LaSasha Flame’s Tale, Kindled: Set Light To Fire, The Third Installment Of The “Dark Immortal Flames Series”
So I found a dragon and he kinda followed me home. But dragons should come with warning labels… like caution: might turn into a possessive hot guy, you want to F***.
Arron, Primordial God of the Dragons, is minding his own business when a vicious little faery blows him out of the sky. Naturally he tries to burn her alive… because fair is fair. But Gailena is not only fireproof but the greatest temptation he has ever faced. Arron has vowed to never take human form again or get close to another living soul. Every moment in Gailena’s presence chips away at his resolve until an unlikely friendship blooms into a secret longing. He is determined to keep his vow, come hell or high water, because there is no way he is shedding his scales for her.
Fae Commander Gailena Drifthorn prepares for the arrival of a homicidal dark lyter to her realm. She has trained her squadron for war over a year. The shield keeping the threat out is weakening. It's no longer a question of “if” but more “when” he gets in. She’s all that stands between him and millions of innocent fae. The day she accidentally makes a bomb, Gailena hits a dragon as it flies overhead. Rack with guilt, she nurses him back to health only to discover he’s much more than she could ever imagine. This dragon is her fated mate and he couldn't have come at a worse time. It’s cruel to find the love of your life when you are set to be sacrificed in the war to save your people.

Lena - bad ass, war general, unashamed of who she is! This is what I want all my female to look like. Come on LaSasha. Thank you for such a strong female lead. She took names and no prisoners. How often do you get a freaking War General as the profession of the FMC. Anddddddd, it wasn’t just a fancy title. Lena ACTIVELY had battle scenes. We saw her wearing her gambeson. We got her making her sword, swinging said sword into battle, coming to the rescue of her squadron!! She engaged in training. She was just the best and I loved her.
Arron - dark, sensual, commanding presence, hawtttt! Whew! The man was on fire. Literally. There’s something about an ancient dragon that does something to you. Lol. He was the perfect amounts of love struck and possessive. I love my FICTIONAL men possessive. A trait reserved ONLY for my fictional men. Don’t try that real men.
The MCs were really strong and definitely conveyed chemistry, love and I felt their bond and passion. Man was there a lot of their passion. Although you will have no complaints from me and the scenes. Some were simply okay, but others - *fans face* yeah. The side characters were pretty good too. I liked how the friendship between Bran and Lena was salvaged and he wasn’t just your stereotypical jilted ex lover. And he was instrumental in the bigger scheme of things. Also liked the Queen, Killian and even mad Millie. Lol. She was delulu, but at least she stood ten toes on it.
Why 4 stars? Well, 4.5 stars. TOO MUCH WAS HAPPENING. It was like, the moment they solved something, another thing happened. It felt as though the author had several climax ideas in mind and didn’t know which one to write about, so she put them all down. It was jarring and I just groaned and wanted things to be wrapped up so that we could move past the drama already. That knocked off half a star for me.
I am intrigued about the next books though. What’s happening with Theo and Tylo and maybe Azrail?
Also, obligatory, statement about cover. Absolutely striking!
I enjoyed the imagery of the world that the author created. The banter and push again and pull again build up with Gailena and Arron was fun. I was intrigued by the different fae creatures and the meddling gods. What lowered my enjoyment was the immaturity of the characters when it came to the relationship aspect of the story.
Considering how old they were you would expect more than the constant running off without trying to have a conversation and resolve the issue. The petulant childish temper tantrums when the person said something not to the other persons liking. It was like being stuck with a bunch of powerful tweens that had no self-control over their emotions.
So while I liked some aspects of the story the behaviors for me just brought everything down.

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up by her. This is one of my favorites. One of the things I enjoy most about this author is her writing style. She has the ability to pull me into her stories from the first word. Her characters are unique, strong and creative. This book is no different. This is a well written story about what happens when a dragon follows you home. The only problem with this dragon is that he is hot, steamy and hard to resist. I enjoyed the chemistry and growth with the characters. They kept the story engaging and had me coming back for more. This is a fast paced story that I truly enjoyed. A paranormal romance story that is hard to put down. This heated up a cold afternoon for sure. I highly recommend this book.
I have enjoyed yet another great book from the author and from the Immortal Dark series. This is the story of Gailena and Arron. They get to know each other as Gailena while trying to protect her kingdom from dragons and it turns out that Arron was the one she shot and that he is a dragon. The storyline and structure is so well done that you are glued to your book from start to finish. I could say more but it's more fun to find out for yourself how they are doing and how they deal with the attraction and chemistry between their, but also with the danger, action. pain, betrayal and much more. This book is highly recommended, as are the other volumes in this series.
I received an advance review copy of this book and this is my honest review.
He wake minding his own business when he is knocked out of the sky by her. She cannot believe she has knocked a dragon out of the sky and she knows she needs to help heal him but he is so much more. He has vowed never to be human again but she is making he consider it. It seems they are fated to be mates. She knows it has come at the worse time possible as a war is coming and she may need to die to save everyone. What will happen next? Will he transform? Will he try to keep her safe? Will death take her? See how it will all go

Gailena is a fire fae warrior who is trying to protect her kingdom. She accidentally shot a dragon out of the sky. Turns out it was Arron God and king of the dragons. What she never expected was to find her mate. Aaron loved once before and promised never to shift again when he lost his wife. These Two will do anything for what and who they love. A heart wrenching story that will take you through love, hate, pain, and joy over and over again.

Arron and Gailena’s story is a great standalone story in the Immortal Dark series. I loved Arron having the sexy Scottish accent, and the angsty vibe between the two characters built the tension that just exploded between them! I can’t wait to read the next couple’s story and learn more about the prophecy it fulfills!

Wow this book was amazingly written. Once I started I couldn’t put it down till I was finished. This book has twists and turns you don’t know what’s happening. will they all get there happily ever after or will it all go wrong. To find out what happens go buy the book. You won’t be disappointed I wasn’t.

3.5 Stars The author has provided us with a well written story line and entertaining characters in this latest addition to the DIF series. I keep hoping to see an end or lessening of petulant childlike behavior since there is more than enough of that in real life these days and I read to escape that.

Another well written romance with plot, romance and steam but with complex interesting characters and a fascinating world. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
it was the cover that drew me in and I'm glad I was able to read this and the other books, the story was so well done and I enjoyed getting to know the characters. It does work as a standalone.

I'm really enjoying the series but am disappointed that there are still typos and missing words throughout the story and we're 3 books into the series. The proofreaders must do a better job.
