Becoming the new King of Hearts came easy to me. I was willing to die for my brothers. I knew what it meant to have heart Even though my chest felt empty. All my loyalty was for the family I created. I didn’t have room for anything or anyone else. Then she came and shattered my tunnel vision with a brick. Nori snuck into my world and showed me things I didn’t want to see. She dismantled everything I thought I knew and showed me that my heart wasn’t dead…only dormant. Then I found out she had secrets. Secrets that tipped my world on its head and forever changed the Legion of Kings.
I live in KY with my family. While I hold a "real job" my first love will always be writing. I enjoy lots of different kinds of books, and many different authors. Some of my favorites are, but not limited to, Sandra Hill, Lori Foster, Kelly Armstrong, Stephen King, James Patterson, J.R. Ward and Emma Holly. But I think I would read just about anything with a good plot.
I'm not ready for this series to end. The finale was just as spicy and emotional as the 1st 2 installments. Heavy topics were being highlighted, but not dwelled on. The bond between the makeshift family continued to grow through respect, loyalty and consistency. I'd recommend the series.
I see you Big Dash! Loved his confidence and sense of humor, but he was quick to shoot also if necessary! After finding out what he had gone through in his childhood, made my heart break for him! He came up the best way he knew how, although his heart was hardened in the process! I knew something was up with Nori, but damn not all that! Even with all the drama surrounding them, she and Dash were so good together! Although Nori was young, she was wise, and helped Dash unpack a lot of trauma that he had buried; and opened up his heart to love! It was great catching up with the other kings to see that their bond is still stronger than ever! I hope there is one more book for King of Clubs! Need to know how the kings adjust after JuJu has the baby, and if there is any drama with Nori's people after the agreement! Good job! 👍👍👍
This book was on pace to being my favourite out of the entire series because there were so many cute moments in the beginning. However, when the book revealed that Nori was one of the missing girls from the foster home, meaning that she was a minor, I was visibly disgusted!!! The age gap between Nori and Dash was super gross and just ruined any intimate scene they had together because all I could think about was that she is 17 years old dating someone 10 years older than her.
I also didn’t appreciate the author trying to give Nori “womanly” characteristics so the age gap didn’t seem too bad, it just felt so icky. Bringing up her wide hips and full chest after mentioning she is 17 is sooo weird idk.
And to top it off, the book ends with Nori pregnant at 18 years old… :/

Big Dash is the Daddy. End of. And Nori is just utterly beautiful! King and Juju still crack me. Pretty Boy and Jay melt my heart. It was nice to have a catch up with them. Another well written and amazing story. This was a surprise early release. s Danielle put a post on FB about who she visualises as Dash and Nori. I have no arguments. I can't think of anyone else but these 2 guys. My heart can't deal with the fact that this series over, my heart actually hurts. I have so much love for these boys and their women. I have never highlighted so much in a book. I laughed like a mentalist!
This has been my first fully five star series of 2022 and it couldn't have gone to a better crew. King and Ju, Pretty Boy and Jay and finally Dash and Nori. Each of them stole my heart although I think this might be my favourite. It's more taboo than the previous 3 (there's a 10 year age gap between the couple) and its slightly less violent but its full of sweet, tender moments between Dash and Nori and between the LoKs as a crew. I'm glad I took a chance on this series because Danielle James has found a BIG fan in me.
Omg I am absolutely in love with Dash and Nori. Dash is definitely Daddy!! I was very pleased to hear from the rest of the gang as well. Can't wait for Danielle's next release!!
The Heartless King. Fabulous read. I love the Kings. They are gritty and dangerous but you can't help but like the boys. Make sure you read the first two books in Legion of Kings series. Kudos Danielle James.
This was a good read as well but read the pervious book to getting the full story. It could expand on the character relationship with her family more it seem superficial.
I loved this series it was refreshing and different the storyline has a reality feel and truth to it. It’s fictional but factional. Read the book it’s a excellent read.
I loved all the Legion of Kings books but this one touched my heart. I loved Nori and Asher’s love journey and how they loved each other. Their story brought out so many emotions. Fabulous read and highly recommended.
