Nothing like demons and mayhem to liven up one’s day, I say.

Frenzied demons are crossing into Mortality left and right, leaving a trail of destruction.

The Hunters are blaming the part-demons, and the part-demons think I’m the perfect person to fix this mess—I used to be a Hunter, after all, and should know how to deal with them. Hopefully, before everyone’s businesses get shut down.

On top of that, turns out certain someone has lost something that belongs to me. Do I get any apologies? Any groveling? Of course not. Am I stuck having to help everyone? Sure, why not.

Let’s just hope when I get payment this time, it won’t be a knife in the back

Demonic Mayhem is the third book in the fun, action-packed Urban Fantasy series Realms Unleashed: Red Angel, featuring a down-on-her-luck heroine, plenty of mayhem, and a slow-burn romance.

Frenzied demons are beginning to pop up here and there in Mortality, causing destruction. The Hunters believe the part-demons are to blame for these crossings, so Ana is hired by the part-demons to clear their name. At the same time Ana is furious with the angel Zel, because he betrayed and stole from her.

This is a series that continues to be action-packed and kind of fun! I do have some trouble with remembering the names of all the side characters, and what kind of relationship they have with Ana (if they've helped or overturned her), but as long as I hang on I usually get an explanation eventually. I also begin to find Ana's inner monologues and thoughts a bit tiresome, but I LOVE her Red Angel-persona!

* I received an ARC from the author and I'm giving my honest review. *

This is such a fun series and I'm going to be screaming internally with my theories until the next book is released. This series is great for fans of Annette Marie and Helen Harper. The world is interesting and unique, and I love the characters and Isa's writing style. Every time a book in this series has come out, I've read it in like a day and then made myself a bit sad that I read it so fast. I'm so excited about what the author has in store for the characters and where this series will go next. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

• Duplicitous angels? Whoa. Likey.
• Ana is fundamentally a good person even when she plots murder and mayhem. A woman who never behaves as you would expect. After 2 books, we know the hunters think she is a loser, but Ana finally receives a break: the half-demons ask her (who, me?) to investigate the increasing appearance of frenzied demons. It's the perfect opportunity for her to team up with Sol and create an independent detective agency...or shakedown artists.
• Her infatuation with Zel, one of the full angels, leads her to think of all sorts of stabby thoughts towards him, and he is such a tease with her. Sliding his hand along her thigh....honestly, I think the teasing is better than any acts of steam. LOL.
• It’s a little mystery. Who is creating potions that can bring demons into Mortality when they are not strong enough to portal otherwise? The half-demons can create potions, but they are clueless about potions that can allow portalling.
• It’s a little comedic misadventure. Ana wants to investigate, and Zel pops in to…well, enjoy the show. Obviously the demons don’t want angels around and are willing to mislead her endlessly. How she manages to get out of their traps is genius.

“So now I had a blade full of happy cat faces.” Yes, Ana is prepared to kick butt with smiley faces. LOL.

Ana is doing her demonic vermin hunting when she hears about frenzied demons are arriving on earth. Hired by half-demons to find out what is happening she and Sol start investigating. Using all of Ana’s contacts and Sol’s connection to the hunters through her brother, there are lots of places to look. The hunters aren’t actively shunning her in this book, they are hoping she gets some information that will help with the problem.
Then Zel appears back in her life advising that he has lost the two magical artifacts, the Vow and the Wing, that he took from her at the end of the last book. Just another problem for any day.
Armed with a new dagger that has cat faces on it, Ana is ready to go. Unfortunately, things do not go as planned. While following up a clue she accidently grabs a demon as he is returning to Earth, the demon realm. Surprise! She can actually go there, something that no one understands.
That’s just the start of the action, there is also some mystery, suspense, surprises and humour. The relationship with Zel is confusing to all, he keeps coming around but who knows why, is it romantic feelings, curiosity or just being a pain.
The conversations and adventures make this a great read. And the last line is a zinger. Have to hurry into the next book.
I really enjoy the books by this author and this series is no exception.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This book is one of the most fun to read. Each book continues the mystery of the Red Angel and how Ana is going to keep the Hunters from finding out her secret. She keeps working to keep Mortality safe even when she doesn't know all the answers. Ana and Sol are great together two best friends who stand by each other no matter what. The action continues fast and furious. I couldn't read fast enough. I really enjoy Ana because no matter what hits her she stay's true to her moral compass. She continues to do the right thing even when dealing with beings much more powerful than her. Keeping the snark under control is another thing. Throughout the book I found myself laughing which right now is a wonderful way to spend the day. If you have not started the series, I highly recommend it.

This group of stories just gets better and better. I really enjoy reading this author because of the way she handles her characterizations and the relationships. But her plots and twists are also compelling. I know when I start one of these, I'll have a tough time putting them down. Right now I can't help but wonder what fantastic surprises we will learn about Ana in the next book and from their actions in the books, Zel and Aszu feel the same way.

Another great book in this series. Ana seems to make the wrong decisions on many occasions. Again more great world building and many of the familiar characters. Lots of action so a fast moving story that keeps you turning the pages. Glad to see more of Zel and Ana’s relationship, are they ever going to get together? As usual a cliff hanger ending.

Interesting Plot Twist!

Lovedddd the storyline it was realistic. The relationship between Zel and Ana is getting interesting, she hates to love him and i can not wait to see the dynamics in book 4. Only thing is i felt this book was wayyy to short and kind of rushed. But the conclusion made it work i guess.

I think this one installment was great for Ana, she does not need to do everything alone and this one here shows why. I was a little saddened we got less from Zel than the previous two books, but whenever he appeared, it was obvious to me, he missed her dearly. Zel got the early conclusion he wasn't going to be able to part from her. And it showed, he got more free around her, both in physical contact and in speech.

An enjoyable read

I am really enjoying this series. Not as good as the first two books as I felt the storyline didn't flow as well. The section where Ana was in Earth felt disjointed and unnecessary. However still a fun and entertaining read and have to read the rest to see what happens next. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed every word

My particular favourite thing about this series is as Ana meets bigger and bigger problems, she doesn't magically get more she's more powerful. She has the same power level she started the series with. She gains some abilities, but none of them make her a dues ex machina.

Great prose, fun characters, intriguing story

while I love the heroine - she simply keeps losing

While I love the heroine - she keeps losing way too much and Zel and the others treat her as a pet or toy.

She needs a big win. I will buy the next book

Still good

Not as good as the first two but still a worthy read. One question, if the red angel is such a bad ass why does she always get her butt kicked???

Confusion resigns and then it hits the fan!

This time mayhem is mixed with slot of fighting and traveling to different realities. But that's the fun of this!

I love these books. The fast paced and witty storytelling, and flawed yet lovable characters just tingle me the right way.

Ana keeps finding herself in trouble, making deals with both demons and angels. The stories varies, yet continues the overall arc of the series at the same time.

Gimme more pls.

I really like Ana but she seems to get taken advantage of by quite a lot of people. Half demons want her to figure out who’s making potions Sylvie hunters will quit blaming them for something they’re not doing. Zel has ran off with her stuff and promptly lost it, and now the summoner that she found and calls too good ran away and is hiding in her room. She does finally figure out where Davis has put to good but she hast to figure out why he does not want to go back. I can’t wait till the next book comes out.
