USA Today Bestselling author Angela Pepper lives with her family in the rainy Pacific Northwest, surrounded by spoiled kitties, deer, raccoons, and the biggest woodpeckers you've ever seen.
I'm so disappointed in the author. I can't believe she killed off Bentley. It feels like a betrayal to kill one of the significant characters in what's supposed to be a light hearted series. Not sure I'm going to continue reading the series.

Oh, there is so much going on in this book! The Riddle women are having a troublesome time, that's for sure.
Zara is really trying, trying to be a better mother, a better girlfriend a better friend... but then, Zoey is dating and Zara just knows that that boy is trouble; and Bentley's ex is in town and just moved next to Zara's demolished house; and the amulet (yes, THAT amulet) is missing and Bentley suspects Zoey and maybe Zara and... and... well, there is only so much that a woman can deal with, isn't it?
The story is really great, fun by moments but with a darker sense permeating it, and the ending! OMG! That ending... *sobs*
Another excellent story in this series, masterly narrated, as usual, by Tiffany Williams.
Nah, I'm done. I like a lot of the Wisteria world and it's characters, but Zara riddle is the most selfish, narcissistic, oblivious, arrogant and annoying characters I have ever suffered through. She causes most of the problema that she faces and then blames everyone else. I kept pushing through, because there were glimpses of growth here and there, but when she got in the car with bentley and needles him into a fight I threw up my arms and said, "nah I'm done."
Not Bentley!!! Ah this book had me heartbroken. I love that the mystery was finding something this time and not a dead body. I felt bad for Zara when Zoey started acting up and decided to date the devil. I love that they find out where the missing item was and how Bentley is able to save Zoey. I love that the prophecy comes true and they’re able to figure things out. Loved this book but hated the ending.
The only reason I continued the series was because I saw a spoiler that Bentley would be killed off. They should’ve never been together. It seemed like the author changed her mind after trying the Zirconia / Teddy B relationship and tried to play it off like Zirconia was “grooming” him to take care of Zara. Whatever. Even if that were true, the way they acted was like a couple and dating your mom’s sloppy seconds is just gross.
Bentley was so disrespectful to Zara and the whole trying to parent / judging Zara’s parenting Zoey made my blood boil. How dare he!? He’s been there for like two seconds. How does Zara eventually come around to accepting this? Was she really going to accept his proposal until he showed his true colors by acting like a jerk on their way to a home goods store?
I miss happy Zara. I miss the lighthearted relationships. I miss her closeness with Zoey. I get there needs to be character development, but it’s getting so muddied. I am losing my emotional bond with these books rather than feeling closer to the characters. I hoped something would come of her coworkers at the library, but it seems like they’ve been discarded as minor characters. I mean, we even lost the house in the previous book.
Really, it seems like there are just too many abandoned storylines and characters here. Is Chet’s dad some supernatural mafioso that he eluded to in the first book? We finally found out what Corbin was…only to have him, Chet, and Chesa move out of the country. What type of supernatural is Chloe’s husband and what might the baby be? Why were we introduced to Frank’s sister and family to have them play no real role in the series? What happened with Zara helping ghosts? What’s the deal with the djinn — is that storyline over now that the devil has moved to town? Why did Fatima go from vapid (but friendly) to downright rude? What is the point of giving the cat the power of speech for it only to say “ham” — which was cute at first but is getting old.
Oh, and tornados in the PNW? Come on! I could almost excuse it if the author was from somewhere else, but she’s a local! Wisteria is full of supernaturals, but it exists in the “real” world. Why not a flash flood or a mudslide? Even a freak earthquake and a tsunami would’ve been more appropriate.
I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but I just feel like I’ve put so much time in this series only to be disappointed more and more every book.

The Wisteria series has been special. In book time the series takes place over a year although we’ve been reading this for much longer. It’s easy to get lost in the story of Zara and Zoey, a witch and shifter mother/daughter set. They’ve been through so much between character deaths, house explosions, traveling through dimensions and living with wyverns. Their story continues as Zoey finds a boy to date but Zara senses he’s trouble, might be typical mothering instinct or not. While Zoey is dealing with teenage love Zara is having her own relationship troubles. As the series is winding down plenty of loose ends are coming together. This portion of their saga seemed to weigh a little heavier on my heart, maybe it’s just because I’m a mother dreading teenage dating. I was lucky to receive an early copy and wrote my review voluntarily.
This was devilishly good! Readers who know this series don’t need me to tell you how good it is, but I am going to say it anyway! It’s soooooo good! I don’t think I will ever want this series to stop! The Riddler woman are kind of family to me by now… And when you think this family is finally going to grow normal, nope a new level of crazy happens! Normal ain’t going to happen and thank God for that! In my experience Angela’s books are getting even better by the stories and my addiction for them too! I laughed a lot with this one, did with the previous ones too but this one is a bit special because the devil is laughing even harder! I am not gonna spoil it by revealing if this story is going to hell but I am warning you, stuff is going to happen! Omg be prepared! Now I can’t wait to read what comes next! I love this series so much!!!
I wish I hadn't of read this one. SPOILER ALERT REVIEW
I hate books with devastating endings. I've adored this entire series until this book's ending. If you love tragedy the jump right in. If sadness eats your soul. Then don't read this instalment. Every other book in this series got 5 stars. This one lost 2 from a perfect score. I'm still crying at the horrible finish to this one.
I would of much rather seen Zara die then Bentley. Her caustic statement to others has become boring. It is depressing to read and nothing she says is funny. Too bad you didnt at least show some growth in her. Too bad 14 books and the story is going nowhere.
Things are...off in Wisteria. The Riddle women are kind-of homeless--and waiting for insurance money following the house fire--living in Zinnia's house (she's pregnant). Everyone is crowded, overstimulated by floral EVERYTHING (in Zinnia's house), and feeling some unease.
Zoey and her friend Ambrosia are interested in the same guy at school; possibly some kind of demon? And they're up to something.
Bentley, Zara's vampire boyfriend is moody and shaking every tree, looking for an amulet missing from the local museum. Wait, THE amulet? The one they thought was destroyed? This is very, very, bad.
As Zara (with danger klaxons going off in her brain) tries not to kill Zoey's new boyfriend, things get much, much, much worse.
We've all read the calamity stories in books like this, how things turn out pretty well and life goes on. But sometimes, a person becomes over-saturated with disasters and stress. And like loose muddy ground, they can't hold back the flood anymore.
I appreciated the way the book treated one of the characters; not making them seem weak or crazy, just unable to handle one more thing. The world changed with the Covid pandemic, and people have been more publicly sharing their struggles and feelings of being overwhelmed. I think this is a healthy progression toward greater understanding and compassion. We need to explore these things in fiction and share them with those who have not been close to such situations--so they can learn too.
4/5 Stars Plot threads were missed in the conclusion. Questions about magic were never asked or researched--why?
This book shows the marks of a truly successful writer by inspiring strong emotions in the readers/listeners. Just look at these reviews mentioning sobbing, heart break, sadness, reeling from the events, crying, heart hurting, feeling sad, hilarity and needing the next book. My empathy came to the fore with a relationship break, loss of a loved one and teenage angst. But this story, this series is SO much more than just some sad events and losses, how do all these events play into the long story? I loved the baby wyvern bubble bathing, eating IN the refrigerator, the budgie games, the monster mash, the witch meetings, Frank Wonder at work and so much more, YES the book has sad parts but so much clever entertaining writing also. I have hope the magic house will be reborn, the ghosts start re-using Zara's mind/body and showing their personalities thru gifts of gourmet cooking, ect, Zara finds her forever mate and the Zoey's event works in her favor, Bentley was invented to protect Zoey and Zara by the mother remember that? I am looking forward to book 15 and recommend this to lovers of clean entertaining witch series. Brilliantly narrated.
Sometimes life gets complicated and all our efforts to fix that only make it worse. This just might be one of those times.
This is book fourteen of the series, but it does pretty well as a standalone. You will be missing some of the background on the characters and relationships, but you will figure it out pretty quickly.
This is a cozy mystery story with witches as our focus. The story is well written and easy to read with a well developed setting. As someone new to the setting, I enjoyed all the little details and suspect there is a lot more to it in the earlier books. The characters are also well done with solid backgrounds, personalities and quirks. These certainly come together nicely to liven up the story. The plot is good with plenty of mystery and intrigue. There is also a good bit of angst in this one, which just shows how easy it is to get invested in the characters. Overall, this was a great story, although probably not the best place to start reading. My bad!
Highly recommended.

I received this as an ARC to read and post an honest review. This is one of my favorite series and I'm always excited to receive each and every new book. After having read this series from the very beginning I've become emotionally attached to the characters. So many things happening throughout the story and they all lead to a very surprising ending. Zara our main witch is temporarily living with her Aunt Zinnia, along with her mother and daughter Zoey. Everything starts going sideways when Zoey brings home her new boyfriend Atom who is charming and handsome and oh so not what he seems. Everyone is searching for a certain object and they each have their own reason for wanting it. Some of the reasons are good and some are downright ominous. This is one of those books you can't put down until it's finished. Fantastic book. I'm still reeling from the ending. I can't wait until the next book comes out to see what direction the series is headed.
This series started as fun, but it's too many big losses in a row with no end in sight for who the big bad is. Zara has reached the end of her ability to cope and I'm 95% certain that Frank is the one selling video of Wisteria to the other realm. I've never trusted him. There is a lot more cattiness and a lot less fun, a lot more grief. And Bentley's days were numbered, and I'm still not sure why they fell apart in the first place. The last two books have exposed Zara's faulty narration (she is never to blame for anything) and bad behaviors. Her relationship with the Gorgon Charlize...Charlize set Zara up for the loss of her powers. That was glossed over entirely. And since the souls have been eaten, does that mean the end of days for humanity? Charlize and Chessa have a copy of the prophecy, they had to know. There are a lot of open threads here. I think I'll take a break before book 15.
Parents- PG13- YA to adult geared +17 read Language- PG- pretty clean and no f-bombs Violence- nothing super graphic Sexual Content- PG13- There's some sexual tension and banter, insinuations, but no bedroom scenes
I continue to be surprised that the series isn't dulling... book 14 was just as much of a fun ride as the first although possibly more drama... 14 books and it all happens of the course of a year! No spoilers so this will be short. I love the mysteries, fun and corky characters, and I can't wait to see where they go from here.
Narrator- 5🌟 I love this narrator, she does a fantastic job with the voice differentiation, acting, and is simply a lot of fun to listen to.

Zara Riddle really is trying to keep out of trouble for a change- almost an hilarious effort, especially given that she has ben staying with her Aunt Zinnia, her mother, her teen daughter, a cat, a budgie, two wyverns, and a ghost.
An almost ludicrous argument breaks out between Bentley and Zara when he is determined to solve a case and she is insecure - especially in the face of the return of his succubus ex.
Cataclysmic forces are met. Some mayhem ensues with the coven, and her teen daughter makes some exceptionally poor choices that might have long term consequences.
What might happen ahead as additional threats ensue if the nature of witch magic in the community is changed.

I absolutely loved this series. When I heard that Book 15 wasn't coming out till 2023 I was so annoyed at the author (Angela Pepper) I nearly cursed her. Then I realized if I cursed her she wouldn't be able to write the next book.....Then I found out she was joking I was elated (I nearly cast another spell and turned my dog into a wolf, lol). This series has everything I want in it from, Romance (not too much), Witches, curses, Spells, Humour, Horror, Friends (both Good, Bad, Evil) and cute animals. I sit with anticipation for the nest book and hopefully more tales from the three Z's, Zoey, Zirconia, Zinnia and of course.....Zara (oh and not forgetting all the animals, fantasy and non fantasy
Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
Everyone is still reeling from the events of the last book. When Zoey starts dating the new bad boy in school it's not the end of the world.... or is it?
Zara does not approve of her daughter's new beau and tries to magic her way out of it with hilariously disastrous results.
Book 14 in the Wisteria Witch Mysteries is full of the humor, heart and adventure you have come to know any love - with big emotions near the end. Have tissues nearby.
Tiffany Williams does her usual tremendous job bringing characters to life and narrating another wonderful novel.
This is the 14th book in the series, and while I have missed a few I had no trouble keeping up. This book starts out with all the women in the Riddle women living under one roof, Aunt Zinnia's roof to be exact. And if that's not enough to give you pause, your daughter dating the Devil might be. I laughed while reading and unfortunately, I cried. One of my main loves with this series are the engaging characters, I always think hmmm The Gilmore Girls get powers. The mystery was entertaining to say the least and I will be on the lookout for Book 15.

This was a well-written, intriguing, and fast-paced story, with excellent character development and a great plot to pull the reader right into the story line. I was a bit uncomfortable with the direction it went, but I’m hopeful things will work out. Zoey Riddle, who has always been a good person gets herself caught up with a bad-boy Atom. Will this bring trouble for everyone? I really enjoyed reading this book, and recommend it to all. You won’t be able to put the series down until you reach the absolute end!
OMG!! Never cried this bad reading a book. When you thought Zara and Bentley finally made their way back to each other they were torn apart again by the tornado. The way you wrote it I didn't realize until she was standing in front of where her house was, and Larissa came and took here in that everything starts to click. Hard to read when you are crying so hard you can't see the pages. Angela, you did a wonderful story, and it still pulls on my heart and makes me cry. Thanks for a great book.
Wayward Wisteria (Wisteria Witches #14) was a great read by Angela Pepper. Zoey Riddle finds herself in love. Zara will do anything for her daughter who’s a dream teenager that plays the harp like an angel. That all changes when a new boy comes to Zoey’s school and catches her eye. With this new boy brings zoey acting unlike herself. Zara knows she must gather the coven, cast some spells and end up making everything much worse. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more by the author.
I've been reading this series for a moment but this is the first time I've felt compelled to review. This is the best book in the series yet. As a mother, I felt like the author described the mother-daughter tension and love with her teen so well. I was with Zara through the entire story, and felt I would have made the same decisions she did. I was not expecting the ending at all and, without spoilers, she'd a few tears reading through the end. Thank you for these characters, warts and all.
This is Wayward Wisteria, # 14 in the Wisteria Witches series, written by Angela Pepper. I absolutely love the Wisteria series. There are shifters of all sorts and magical beings of endless variety. Each one of these books gets us closer and closer to finding out more of the secrets in this town. I have to say that I didn't see the ending of this one coming. I laughed and I cried! I need more of the Riddle women soon! Get those writing fingers to flying Ms Pepper! Pretty please!
Zara is still lving in Zinna's house and trying not to use magic. Then a series of things happen to Zara that will effect her world. First she finds out who her daughter is really dating, she has a huge blow out with Bentley and things just get worse for her.
This book grips you from beginning to end, what an ending. I was deeply saddened by what happened at the end of this book. I do look forward to the next book. I highly recommend reading.
This book was worth the wait. The ending was so unexpected. It gave us some answers we've been waiting for. I laughed & I cried. So much happened in this book I need to keep reading this series to find out what will happen next. I'm hooked on the lives of the Riddle girls. Keep the adventures coming.
I've read the ending chapters of this book three times already, and cried all three times. Some things I could see coming, but losing Bentley was not one of them. His figure at the vet and at home broke my heart. Does this mean he can come back at will, or is it just his shade?
I am upset with these books. In the last two books there are more bad things that happen than good. I am still mad at what happened to the house in Book 13. They are still very good books, but I didn't feel good about the story when I finished. I hope things turn around in the next story.
Audiobook: Entertaining Wisteria story featuring many of my favorite characters! The story has some interesting things happen and one that may ultimately shed a few tears. The narrator did a good job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene.
