The Attributes of God

Rate this book
The Attributes of God is a 6-week study on God's character. God's attributes are His characteristics. They tell us who He is and what He is like. When we know God, we love Him, and He changes everything. This study walks through God's incommunicable attributes, which are characteristics that are only true of Him, as well as His communicable attributes, which are attributes that we are called to reflect.

This is the first every bible study I have read and completed from The Daily Grace Co.

It guides you through the attributes of God. Which was very insightful - I didn't know many of them when I first started this study. This book helped me know God more, who he is as our Father. He is many things: loving, merciful, omnipresence, etc. And through this study I learned there are to categories of attributes, one is incommunicable attributes and the other is communicable attributes.

I enjoyed having the chart in the front of the book with each attribute the Lord is, with corresponding bible verses to refer to.

I know the Lord more because of this study :)

This got me through a really tough summer, reminding me daily of who God is and how He works- even when I struggled to believe He was working. It helped me preach the Gospel to myself on dark days when I was grasping for truth. The theology was spot on, the format simple enough for a busy mom to be able to follow despite interruptions, and the beautiful artwork was a great complement. The only thing I’d prefer would be more variety in the daily reflection questions. It was definitely a good experience though.

I used this as a daily devotional. This interactive book explores the attributes of God, along with attributes we can grow in as Christians. This is a great book to do on your own or as a group as a Bible Study. I learned so much, knowing who God really is. The book explores Scripture that becomes so meaningful as you study it.

Highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I did this study together. The men’s and women’s books are both beautiful. (The content is the same for each only the pictures are different.) I have learned so much about God’s character though this study. It broke down His incommunicable and communicable attributes in a thought provoking manner. The charts were so helpful as well as the references in the back of the book.

This was the second Bible study I did from The Daily Grace Co. I would definitely recommend it to someone desiring to know God more.

I love the overview of God's attributes. The book describes each one well in just a few sentences. However, I'm not sure what age group this is for. It's a board book, which implies it's for little ones, but there's two main reasons I wouldn't read it to really little ones. #1) Because of the nature of the content, there's not really solid picture on each page, so the kids don't always have a decent picture to see while we're reading aloud, #2) Some things are not really described. The biggest example of this is "God's plan for the world is redemption. His purpose for the world is to glorify Him." And then it just moves on without explaining either of those sentences, both of which are hard even for parents to know how to explain to their kids. My kids are 4 and 1.5, but I'm really not sure when I'll introduce this book.... I'll definitely try with the 4 year old, but I'm not expecting it to become her favorite book : /
