I think this author is a good writer, but she consistently has mistakes such as partial words! And she even uses the wrong character’s name at times! But, the real reason I gave this series 3 stars is because each book held nothing new. It was like reading one long 1300 page book. I like having the continuation of the same characters, but was expecting different plots for each book. There was no new excitement to look forward to as I went from book 5-6-7-8. Also, the resolution of the main characters didn’t exist. After reading that many pages, couldn’t you give us some type of ending that wrapped everyone into a cute little bow?
I found the books good to read, but after reading all eight of them I found myself disappointed in the way the relationship between Hunter and Lee was written. All the other characters were married off and paired off in a way that was endearing, but considering that Hunter and Lee got together in the first book I found it hard to understand that the only romance between them was a hug or a kiss, no romance very disappointed.

I enjoyed this series even tho there is an excessive amount of crime in this mall town. I liked the characters that she used and you were wondering till the end who was the bad guy.
A series the keeps you on the edge of your chair with it twists and turn. Just when you are convince you have the villain pegged, the real bad guy or gal appears.
The books stand alone, but you'll be tempted to move on to the next one anyway. (I jumped immediately from the first collection to this one.) Engaging characters, nasty villains, plenty of heart-stopping suspense. Hard to put down.
