I was pleasantly surprised not to be ambushed by explicit sex scenes or the F bomb and curse words. The stories are well written and the characters likeable. I also appreciated the Christian approach to the characters situations. I would recommend this collection to anyone who enjoys well written, clean stories that are not cliffhangers.
These were very sweet stories about love being lost and love being found. They were a lot of fun to read.
ALOHA HIDEAWAY INN Elana Johnson What a fun story to read. It shows that everyone comes with their own demons that they have to overcome. Stacy is one very smart lady with a good business sense. Her heart has been taken out and ripped up on a couple of occasions. Fisher came into his money by hard work and he too has been hurt in the past. But he did not let that take over his life, he works hard and is very conscious of the people who work for him.
What I really loved about reading this story was that both of these people are hardworking, down to earth and even though very successful, they care very deeply about those who work for them. It was refreshing to read about employers who care that their employees are well taken care of and are willing to actually do the work of even the lowest person in the organization.
SWEET BEGINNINGS Melissa McClone Love this story, it made me laugh and made me cry. It gives you a real insight into what an alcoholic goes through on the road to sobriety. Josh is one strong man who is learning to face his demons. It also shows you what evil rumors and gossip can do to destroy a person. Hope is one of those women who has gone to the brink of despair but doesn’t leap off. It is a really good story about how two broken people can be supportive and help each other by seeing through to the real person inside. Cannot say much more without giving away spoilers. But it was a story well worth reading.
SWEET TROUBLEMAKER Jean Oram What a fun story about Nick and Polly. I love how Nick and Polly both jump in to help Nick’s uncle’s wedding which would have been a disaster if they don’t fix it. The best part of this story is where the following questions need to be answered and they are what keeps you reading. They were teenage lovers or crushers but even though they have been apart for 20 years, can they remember who they were back then? Are they kidding themselves by thinking that they are still in love and do they even really know the other is after so many years? Cannot answer them for you because it would spoil the story.
LONGING FOR FOREVER Debra Clopton A very nice story about how love can overcome those with internal trauma and doubts. Adam and Rosie both have those issues. Even though neither of them is looking for a relationship, the past laid plans are often overturned. I enjoyed this story very much and the ending made me very interested in reading the next one in which, Adam’s brother, Brad is the main character.
FEELS LIKE HOME Olivia Mills This story is about the Harper family and although it mainly focuses on Margo, it does but it also draws you into Bridget’s life story quickly. Bridget is in real estate and has to see the Harper’s family home even though she doesn’t really want to do that. Margo returns to Oyster Bay and is surprised by all of the changes. You quickly see that all of the sisters have secrets and feelings that they keep from each other. I was surprised by the ending as I really thought something else was going to happen. No spoilers so I cannot elaborate on that. A very interesting story.
SUGAR QUEEN Tessa Thompson This story grabs you from the first page until the last. It has been a long time since a story moved me to tears as much as this one did. But it also made me feel warm and fuzzy. Brandi is one of those women who has gone through a lot but remained true to herself. Trapper is a man who never stopped loving his teenage crush. I cannot say a lot because I would be giving up spoilers but this story is one that needs to be read. It shows the fragileness of human nature, the resilience of love, and the ability to be brave no matter how scared you are.
CHANCES ARE Kellie Coates Gilbert Wow this story is like looking at what life is like for a lot of women and if you are a woman, you can relate to Allie in more ways than one. Allie is very much like a normal woman; she is not a super person just an average person trying to make something good out of a bad situation. What is great about this story is the ending and I will not tell you what it was because I don’t want to spoil it. But it is worth reading to find out.
She owns a Bed and breakfast on a Hawaiian island and they built a large hotel just down from it and she worried that it would steal some of her business. She went to the hotel to see how luxurious it was and how her B&B compared, she ordered room service to find out how long it took to get food and then took a shower. Her food arrived almost the same time as her shower ended and she was not fully dressed when the food delivery was wheeled into her room without notifying her of their entrance. The delivery person was actually the hotel owner under cover and he wanted to make things right and he went back to her room after changing clothes and that encounter began his journey of learning all he could about her and their journey of business and dating.

I haven't read all the stories yet, but I tackled two of them. I usually enjoy Elana Johnson and Debra Clopton. But I'm positive I'd read Debra's story before. I skipped it for now. The first story was on par with Elana's usual offerings, being a clean, sweet romance tale. Then I read the book by Jean Oram about the troublemaking cowboy. It was good. Still a clean romance that stirred my heart and had me rooting for the MCs. I'd recommend this collection if you're looking for mostly sweet stories that are clean and fairly easy reading.
This is wonderful way to be introduced to new authors and begin a new series with familiar authors. I enjoyed each story and am going on to read more by each. Heartwarming, sweet, clean books with characters of depth with real life issues. A great book to get absorbed into.
I enjoyed each of these books. Each story is so different and an adventure is in store as you read them. Several authors were new to me and I enjoyed their style of writing. I'm very impressed and hope to read more of their books.
A Sweet Escape: a Box set of 7 sweet romances. The nice thing about box sets for me that I get to try new to me authors. This box set was for me a mixed bag. Some stories I really liked and were 5 stars, others missed the mark for me completely and were a 2 star read.
This keep my interest till around the last 3 books then it was ok. You have to be careful for you went from one story to a different one. That was why it was just ok for me.
I love this book because it showed me some new authors that I have not read before I would recommend this book to anyone who believes in love And the power that Your heart can give you I would read all of these authors again!
Each author has her own style yet each grabs your heart with characters and storylines filled with love, laughter, taking chances, forgiveness and hope! Each shows the reader in multifaceted ways that love is always the answer!
What is not to like! Seven stories that won't let you put them down. Each is well done. Characters all great. Loved each, like I knew them, like they were family...
Every story had something that brought a tear to my eyes because while I may have lost all belief in love, these stories made it believable as something that could be possible.
All of the stories had reasonable emotional conflicts for the main characters. The stories flowed easily which gave a very relaxing read. Great reading just before bedtime.
Sweet stories. I enjoyed getting into the different settings, getting to know a diverse pal et of characters. I loved how different the individual books were. Sometimes sweet romance is almost like a formula, but these stories are all different from each others.
I really liked Aloha Hideaway Inn by Elana Johnson and Longing for Forever by Debra Clopton. They were my favorite stories in this book. The rest of the stories were OK.
