Too bad there aren’t any rain delays in the game of love…

I’m off my game. Literally. So off, in fact, that I didn’t even make the All-Star team this year. The secluded house my mother’s boyfriend keeps in the Keys is the perfect place to relax and figure out where it all went wrong. It would’ve worked too…if only the man’s beautiful, hot mess of a daughter hadn’t shown up to make me question everything I thought I ever wanted.

I am not lucky. The universe obviously hates me and I need a break from being its punching bag. Packing up my emotional baggage—and my Irish Setter—and making the drive to my dad’s vacation house seemed like a great idea. But instead of finding the house empty, I discovered my father’s girlfriend’s son there…naked in the shower. My plan was to leave, but a hurricane stranded me with the arrogant, sexy ballplayer I can’t seem to keep my hands off and ruined everything…
When the storm clears, will these polar opposites find common ground? Or is their shot at happily ever after nothing but a doomed rainout?
As a tween, Tina Gallagher and her best friend would create happily ever afters for their favorite soap opera couples. Eventually, the soap operas lost their appeal, but the writing never did.
Before living her dream as a full-time author, she worked a spectrum of jobs ranging from baking and cake decorating to marketing and project management.
In between creating memorable characters, traveling, and taking pole dance lessons, Tina enjoys spending time with her handyman husband and two grown children.
No…I’ll just go. A dual POV tale with a pair of characters that are a most unlikely duo. Their parents are dating but currently in Italy. He is a professional baseball player, a pitcher who has lost his mojo. She is a Jill of all trades, master of none trying to figure out her next move. They both arrive in an empty house in Florida and agree to ignore each other. A story full of sweet twists, wild wind and puppy dog kisses. Gotta read just to find out how this one ends!
This was a super quick read and it was alright. It was cute, though I found myself a little bored at times. I'm an animal person, but I felt like there was a ton of focus on the dog. Everything would always go back to the dog and it was kind of distracting. Not a bad read at all, just not my favorite 🤷🏼♀️
