This was a good read. Tamara and Elliot are working on a case together. They have a relationship outside of work too. This is uprooted when a secret comes out. Thankfully it all works out in the end and they get their happy ending.
Surprise Daddy continues to follow the lives and relationships of the Ann Arbor, Michigan based Obsidian Security Company. Founded by SEAL team member Dane Armstrong, Finn allows us to continue our acquaintance with and to follow the lives, adventures and family founding loves of other members of Obsidian Security. This installment allows the reader to follow the adventures of Tamara Watts the brown-eyed, dark haired only daughter in a family of dominant males, headed by a father who is a member of the Ann Arbor Police Department. In such a family, it was only natural that the beautiful Tamara would have a passion to serve, a strong will, and determination to pursue justice.
The team of mostly former military have come to appreciate Tamara’s skills in the field and her determination on the job. But she does have a soft side which she is currently sharing with her Obsidian Security co-agent, Elliot Ivanson, a tall, lean man with wavy blonde hair, and like many of his fellow Obsidian team members, a former Navy Seal. And, like fellow team member, Tamara, he is from Ann Arbor. And like Tamara, he shares a challenging relationship with his family, that as an adult, he is still working to find a pathway to healthy and happy family dynamics with his parents, especially since his son, Cooper, is impacted Elliot’s actions.
From the first lines of the suspense-filled romance, family is a constant theme. And, in this installment, family is central in the cases of Obsidian. The security organization is charged with protecting the dysfunctional family of the Michigan governor whom it seems needs guarding from themselves as much from outside malevolent forces. Obsidian also is tasked with assisting father, Peter Holliday, whose college-aged daughter, Melissa, went missing years earlier. While the Ann Arbor police presented him with a charred body as evidence of her death, dad refuses to accept as evidence, choosing to continue to pursue the location of his daughter with the assistance of Obsidian.
And, family is highlighted as the co-workers who have become lovers, Tamara and Elliot, discover that their hopes for a future depends on understanding and confronting the confusion in their own individual families.
Sofia Finn has crafted a tale of love, both romantic and familial, jealousy, revenge and dark secrets that swirl around the Elliot Ivanson and his lover and co-worker, Tamara Watt, holding the reader captive. My one central concern is that Ms. Finn attempts to have too many story threads. And, in trying to manage the threads of mystery and suspense, love and relationship along with family dynamics, she is not fully successful, and as a result, creates a story with potential not fully achieved and a reader not fully satisfied.

This story is all about miscommunication and how it has the potential to destroy relationships. Tamara Watts and Elliot Ivanson work together for a highly rated security agency. Tamara comes from a long line of cops in her family. However, with her being the only daughter, she sometimes feels like she is seen as a weak woman who should be at home raising a family. Tamara has been told that she is unable to have children. As such, she has convinced herself that she does not want to be a mom and is better off that way. After working together for some time, Elliot, who has had the hots for Tamara from the day he met her, finally gets her to go out with him. However, he almost blows his chance with her due to miscommunications and secrets between them. When Tamara finds out that Elliot is keeping a big secret from her, she breaks up with him. Due to some interesting circumstances, Elliot finally comes clean about those secrets but is the damage already done? The chemistry between Tamara and Elliot is off the charts. The heartbreak and pain is surreal. But the HEA is well worth the rollercoaster of emotions these two will take you on. With a beautiful HEA, no cheating and no cliffhangers, I highly recommend this book. Yet another 5 star novel from Ms. Sofia Finn.

Elliot (mmc) Tamara (mfc) Christina (mother of child) Cooper (child) Evan (mmc dead brother)
Tamara worked for Dane before he semi-retired, and Elliot took over. They've been dating, but he has secrets. Secrets that include another woman and a child. But he didn't tell her any of that before she saw them out in public together. She ends things over text. He thinks it's because she's in love with Dane, but when his son shows up at her house, he knows she knows. Now, he has to explain things. The case they are working on together gets in the way of everything being discussed, though. The case that has way too many questions and no answers. And when the answers start coming out, no one is safe...
Dane's wife had twins in their book. Only one child was mentioned at the beginning of this one, but later, both were. Also, the name of the terrorist from the beginning of the book is different. I noticed that several of this author's books also have very frank discussions about abortion, which may be triggering or off-putting to some readers.
Tamara and Elliot both work for Obsidian Security and start up a relationship. So many plots are crisscrossing and the action is addicting. The characters are picking up an old missing person case of a girl thought to be dead. Tamara is from a long line of police officers and her father needs to address his past to his family. Elliot is a secret billionaire and it shows up once in a while, but he also ex-military so he will move the planets to get to the bottom of an assignment. The storyline shows close supportive family, fathers who need to clear the issues with their kids and a high-ranking official that needs to not block things due to his kids stupidity. Loved how protective Elliot and Tamara are with each other, and the banter they have between themselves and against people like the chief of police was great. The ending was a terrific way for it to all come together.

Surprise Daddy is book four in the Alphalicious Daddies series by Sofia Finn. A former Navy SEAL, Elliot Ivanson turned investigator and Tamara Watts, with a family of cops is working for the same company. Elliot and Tamara have some hot times together until they get caught. He is her boss. Their current case is a missing girl. As they uncover police corruption the action, danger and suspense amps up.
Their relationship has secrets, lies and now danger. This adds to their good and bad moments in the relationship. The story is more than just romance with the added thrills and suspense. It will really have you turning the page. Surprise Daddy ends the series with a bang.
Good story! I understand Tamara’s mixed feelings about relationships and family. She’s kind of a hot head but not everyone has to be calm and ladylike. She’s had a bad history with her relationships and that makes her job even more important to her. Her dad is kind of a jackass and I certainly see why they have a contentious relationship. Elliot is too much of a “I have to do this and do it my way” kind of a guy that brings a lot of his problems on himself. He thinks he’s being protective but really he’s being distrustful of Tamara. The story had lots of action and angst. My favorite Sofia Finn story so far.

This is Elliot and Tamara’s story. Elliot is a former navy seal, who is intriguing, mysterious, and sexy, and is Tamara’s ex as well as boss at a private security firm they both work for. The chemistry between these two is combustible and undeniable, but they try to stay away from each other, and their limits are tested when they work together on a kidnapping case. This is a well written emotional roller coaster story which has miscommunication, secrets, heartbreak, danger, mystery, suspense, danger, twists, intrigue, angst, family, action, and love, which leads to a riveting and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The case they are on may expose corruption of cops and Tamara's father is still a cop. Everything get even more complicated when she finds out that she's pregnant after being told she couldn't get pregnant. What does her being pregnant mean for her and Elliot? Surprise Daddy as mystery and surprises. Tamara Watts grew up in a family of cops. She went against her dad’s wishes and became a detective with a private firm. She has a history of getting swept up in her relationships only to be betrayed or hurt.
Elliot Ivanson has worked with Tamara for a few years. She drew his attention at their first encounter. He tried to keep their relationship professional. Once they move into a relationship, secrets and lies threaten their relationship. Can they sort out the truths before it is too late?

Most of the problems with this couple is a lack of communication with each other. Elliot is trying not to scare her off as she has made it perfectly clear she does not want to have children, and he has a son with an ex. He has not told her, he playing his cards real close as he thinks she is in love with Dane. He is hoping she will fall in love with him before he comes clean. There are many secrets he is keeping.
There is lots of intrigue, lies that are revealed, action and steam.
Will she be able to trust him or will she see he is like all the guys before him, a liar?

So much going on in this final book of the series. Elliot is a former Navy Seal who works for a firm as a private investigator. Tamara also works for the same company as a detective. These two are attracted to each other and start a relationship even though Elliot is her boss. They are trying to find a missing girl but there is so much corruption, mystery, danger, action, suspense, secrets, lies and romance. Tamara knows that Elliot is hiding something and with so much miscommunication she's ready to walk out. A story that kept me reading until the last page. Great ending.

This is so much more than a romance novel. Tamara Watts and Elliot Ivanson , former Navy Seal, are now Investigators for a private firm. He is her boss and so much more. They are hot for one another but they are also in hot water, as they take on a case of a girl’s disappearance and expose corruption within the police department. Secrets and cover ups nearly destroy their relationship and put them in danger as well. A real page turner.

The Gift To Seal Their Love - I haven’t read a story that had me itching to turn the pages so much, just to find out who, what, why and how it happened, whilst rooting for the main characters to get a happily ever after, in a very long time. The storyline flowed perfectly, which made my reading experience more enjoyable. I was hooked on the story from the beginning and I am sure it will keep you engrossed too. I highly recommend this book for your reading pleasure.

Sofia Finn has done it again!! OMG did I fall in love with Elliot! He is such a powerful force you can’t help but be drawn to him. Then you have Tamara who seams to be learning so much about herself. Being hurt so much in her past has her closing doors before she even knows what’s going on inside. You cheer for her, yell at her and cry with her. It’s such an emotional and twisting journey to their HEA, definitely worth the ride!

Elliott is a ex Navy Seal now a investigator working on a corruption case that involves the police department. Tamara is from a long line of policemen and her father is still working when she joins Elliott on the investigation that may or may not lead to her father. As they work together they end up falling for each other but when she finds out she is pregnant she is shocked because she was told she probably could never get pregnant. How will she and Elliott handle this surprise as they close out the case they have been working on?
While I like the book , just like the others there is miscommunication , lies and the men thinking they know what's best and instead of exposing , talking confronting every one just goes about their day . he lied from the beginning , she caught him with a women and kid and instead of asking she just broke up with him .. The relationship with the other women was not that complicated and be was stupid about it , I don't care how fragile he though she was he should have set boundaries years ago not just because it threatened his relationship now .
Wowsa this book was absolutely fantastic and had me enthralled from the beginning until the end. The storyline flowed throughout the book and you will definitely love the characters. Tamara works for a security company and Elliott was her partner and now her boss but now he is hiding something from her will it destroy what they have going on together? Elliott has a messed up and devastating past but he loves Tamara but will his past secrets destroy that?

Elliott and Tamara are work mates at a detective agency. Ex military, she's saved his life, so they have history. While traversing through their romantic journey towards a happy ever after, they have cases needing to be solved. The biggie.....a possible kidnapping of a young woman that's ended on a cold case file. Overall quality of writing was good with only a few glitches in proofreading and no cheating or cliffhanger. Yes .. you get a happy ending. Enjoy 🤓
This story starts of with Tamara who keep everyone at a distance being with Elliott the guy she didn't even know she really wanted. They have ups and downs. Tons of miscommunication and secrets they are unwilling to reveal. But one case changes everything for them. The secrets start to come out slowly but surely.

Surprise Daddy was a great read. I love the banter between the two strong characters Elliot and Tamara. They are co-workers who fall in love with each other and cannot fight the urge to being together. Nothing tears them apart not even any danger or trouble that they face. They were meant to be together.

Oh this was a good read. I enjoyed the characters well except for one. And I loved the ending. Also the story was great but it felt like the ending was slightly rushed. Still a very good read.
Sofia Finn’s latest release is a must read for anyone who wants to escape from life for a while. You will enjoy reading this book, The Storyline and The Characters too.
