From USA Today bestselling author Natasha Madison comes a small town, friends to lovers romance.
Before she was mine to have, she was mine to kiss!
I fell in love with Harlow on the first day I met her, when I was pulling open the door for her. She was everything you could want in a woman—smart, kind, funny, patient. I loved knowing she would be mine forever.
I made her promise she would be there for the best day of my life... until it all came crashing down.
Before she was mine to have, she was mine to kiss!
When Wall Street Journal and USA Today Best Selling Author's nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...
"But what I wasn’t expecting was the kiss that would end all fucking kisses. I felt it all the way down to my bones." So glad I read this novella before reading the book. It honestly helps with the context leading up to Mine To Hold, and it may have also made me really dislike the hero... I wonder if that will change with the book itself? I love it when characters change my mind!
"Promise me that you’ll be there by my side on the happiest day of my life." I'll save any specifics for the review of the full-length book. Anyway, go get this. It's free and you won't regret it – it also helps you won't have to wait long, because after this ending... Damn.
TW// mention of father’s death, brief mention of abuse
While this book was far from perfect, I was susprised by how much I actually enjoyed it. Mine To Kiss follows two college students who have a sweet romance that slowly shifts from just flirting during study sessions into a steamy, passionate relationship.
I loved the dynamics between Harlow and Travis. The dynamics were flipped from what you normally see in a typical straight relationship in books. The man, Travis, was the hesistant and shy one while Harlow was the more outgoing and eager one out of the two of them. It was really nice to see the relationship dynamics flipped from what I normally read in books.
This book is only 82 pages, but it’s the perfect length. It helped the story stay super quick and it got the plot moving along smoothly, but at the same time, the story didn’t feel rushed. The story was also super light, so it’s a great escape from reality.
My biggest issue with this book was the ending. I don’t think I’ll continue with this series because of how this book ended. It set it up so that in the next book, there will either be cheating and/or Travis’ fiance in his relationship after Harlow will be majorly screwed over. I don’t really care to read stories like those and I honestly think I would get annoyed with the main characters’ actions in the sequel. If you want to read Mine To Kiss, you can stop reading this book two chapters before the end and just pretend that there’s a happy ending. That would be the best way to read this story.
Overall I liked Mine To Kiss and I’m glad that I finally decided to read it after having downloaded on my phone a while ago.
Quick little novella that is the prologue to Mine To Have. Gives the backstory to how Travis and Harlow met and ends on a huge cliffhanger. I would strongly advise you to read this first - it is free to download currently.
HEA? No - you need to read the next book. Cheating? No
It's like I really don't like myself... This was a little taste of what's coming and I'm already crying.. Natasha really knows how to play my heart.. This can't come fast enough 😍
Not gonna lie, this was not what I was hoping for. I seriously doubt I’ll even bother to read the series. Immature characters, meaningless sex and no storyline. It’s like a repeat with these books.
I want to be invested and I didn’t get it here. Rushed, boring and no depth.
This was a nice short quick read here. I really had a blast with this one here and it was so adorable in how our couple for the first book meet as that is a second chance romance. There is a cliffhanger as we see how their relationship ended things. But this one gives some background information on our pair and I really thought it was a cute fast read. And yeah it ends very interestingly. But it is a cliffhanger so make sure you have book one ready to go!
5 star Review Mine to Kiss (Southern Wedding # 0.5) by Natasha Madison I knew when I decided to read this prequel to Natasha Madison’s latest Southern Wedding series that I would have to wait until June and yet I still read it. From the first word I was drawn in, hook line and sinker to Harlow and Travis story and now we have to wait to read their continuing story in Mine To Have, coming in June. The ending left me shaking my head and I am not sure that I can wait patiently to see what happens. If this little taste is anything to go on then I cannot wait to see what Ms.Madison has in store for this series.
Mine to Kiss is the prequel to Natasha Madison’s new series, Southern Wedding. It’s the spin-off of her Southern series. When I discovered that this was available for free on Amazon, I jumped at the chance to read it before diving into book one. It provided an interesting look into the backstory of the couple featured in book one.
Harlow Barnes is off to college to study veterinary science. On her first day of classes, she meets Travis. They shared an instant attraction with each other. They spent a lot of time together and soon their relationship went beyond friendship. Basking in each other’s company, a strong bond developed between them. All was going well, then it came time for them to graduate. Will they make a life together after college or will their career goals impede their happily ever after?
This was a lovely introduction to the series. It paved the way for the events in Mine to Have. This is a lovely story of young love. I enjoyed the development of the romance between Harlow and Travis. They made a great couple. However, their greatest flaw would be their inability to communicate. A flaw which led to decisions that would bring about heartbreak for them both.
Of course, the story ended on a cliff-hanger, leaving me with questions. Thankfully Mine to Have was already in my possession.
This shows Travis and Harlow’s backstory, how they started dating and how it ended. It was short but it gave us everything we needed to know about their love.
This is a free novella that is the first book in Natasha Madison’s Southern Weddings series, and is the beginning of Harlow and Travis’ story.
Harlow is the daughter of Casey and Olivia from Southern Comfort, and Travis is a newly introduced character. They are both studying to become veterinarians when they meet at college, and we see them become friends and slowly fall for each other. The love story is sweet, fun, romantic and super passionate, and it seems like they are destined to be together forever, but that’s not to be.
The first full-length novel in the Southern Weddings series, Mine To Have, is Harlow and Travis’ second-chance romance, so it’s no surprise how this book ended, but I still didn’t see it coming. They are so perfect together, and I hated that they parted, and the way it hapened.
But I love that we got to see their beginning in so much beautiful detail. The ending to this book sets up their story beautifully, and I cannot wait to see them get their second chance.

For starters, Natasha is a tease and I currently hate her. We have to wait until June for the next story?!?! That’s too far away!!!
I absolutely loved this story! I can hardly wait to see what happens between these two. I gotta make it 5 months though! College sweethearts who break up due to a miss understanding. Oh no!
Mine To Kiss is a GREAT introduction to the Southern Wedding series. Travis and Harlow’s romance begins in college and I’m a sucker for young love. These college sweethearts are a beautiful couple who have so much promise however the way this novella ends, I’m eagerly awaiting the full length book.
OH, this makes me want to read Travis and Harlow's story!!! This would've been 5 stars for me, but I hate miscommunication/lack of communication, and the end was that. Hopefully, we don't have a lot of that in their actual story.
Was not expecting this little novela to end on such a cliffhanger!!! Make sure you have the next book handy cause you’re going to want to know what happens!!!
Mine to Kiss is the perfect prequel to the new Southern Wedding Series from Natasha Madison. It’s a novella that does exactly what you want a prequel to do, set the scene for what’s to come and introduce you to Harlow and Travis who’s story continues in Mine to Have, book 1 in the series. Harlow and Travis fell in love in college but we all know young love doesn’t always work out and it seems the timing wasn’t right and fate had other plans for this couple….. This quick read maybe sweet but it really tugged on my heartstrings and it has left me excited for the new series and especially book 1, which I’m thinking if this novella is anything to go by it’s going to be one emotional ride.
