I own this book.

Okay, admittedly, I haven't read the Devil's Reign event. Bar this tie in, so I was a little lost. From what I understand, Fisk has collected a number of files on our favourite heroes and plans to use them against them and that fact is unacceptable for Bucky, who has worked hard to erase every file on his life that has existed. He's a ghost story and he wants to stay that way. Deciding to break into Fisk's vault, he encounters Fisk sleepwalking after killing most of his staff, which Bucky assumed was an exhaustion induced nightmare. He successfully collects what he needed, but he finds something he didn't expect to find, a file not on the Winter Soldier, but a file on James Buchanan Barnes detailing his life. He vows to find out who has followed him from the beginning and make sure they are no longer controlling him and his life. This issue made me very excited for the upcoming Captain America series which I believe will tie in this, alongside the United States of Captain America series that recently finished. Basically, I'm super excited to see the implications this issue will have for my favourite boy.

This was very good, bordering on *almost* getting four stars but, as a tie-in to Devil's Reign, the connection is sparse at best and is more of a set-up for the next volume of Captain America. The Kingpin sleepwalking(?) bit of plot was also kinda weird.

What the heck is going to happen now???
I loved the art in this, great atmosphere and some gut wretching moments (like the V. cameo gave me a major jumpscare, not going to lie, please never again), but I'm quite not sure if I'm ok with the implications of what this is going to set for Bucky's future in the upcoming Cap's run.
I'm scared and not ok!

A psychological thriller/horror story with atmospheric art. An essence of Hitchcock here. The kind of story one sits and ponders after reading. Fantastic, if you like that sort of thing.

I picked this up even though I'm not reading Devil's Reign and it's perfectly easy to still understand, I recommend this and hope it's finally a sign for the future of the Captain America comic (that this one-shot really was a prequel for). Bucky is in search of his past and tries to steal files about himself from Wilson Fisk, but Fisk is in the middle of a mental breakdown or being possessed and has been killing all his guards, he shouts wildly in his dreamlike state and almost kills Bucky, but really the main plot is Bucky fighting his own inner demons, the narration adds excitement to what could have easily just been bland and unimportant.

I love this alot, hope to see more from this writing team with Winter Soldier in it.

This one shot has an interesting story although it takes a little time to really get into it. The artwork is only passable though.

It makes me want to find out what they're going to do with Bucky in the new Captain America series although in general I'm not much of a Cap fan.

3.5.

If this wasn't part of Devil's Reign it would be an easy 4. Pulled me into Bucky's story and I'll be continuing that when I'm done with Daredevil. As part of the Devil's Reign story it didn't add that much... though Fisk being just as indomitable while asleep is pretty terrifying.

The art is amazing and fitting to Winter Soldier character.
The plot, however, is not present.

This was excellent, front to back. Not necessary for the DEVIL'S REIGN event, but possibly necessary for the 2022 CAPTAIN AMERICA relaunch.

One of the most brutal fist fights this year in comics. And the art. Superb

sleepwalking Fisk is a goofy setup, but the way this leads into the current Captain America runs is REALLY cool as someone getting to this issue a year late!

3.6/5 stars.
Probably gonna read this whole series at some point, but I just read it because I wanted more info on the Fisk File (referenced in Sentinel of Liberty). Pretty good, though.
