Night after night, I meet Death

He turns me inside out and makes me feel things I never knew possible.

Day by day, his patience thins as I deprive the god of death the one thing he wants more than anything.

My heart.

But with my kind of childhood, one doesn’t just go dropping the L word unless it’s to a triple chocolate buttercream cupcake.

I’m an acts of service kind of vampire, so I’m showing I care by tracking down the only blade forged that can kill him.

Because if Grim dies, the whole world will go to hell.

And facing an eternity without him would kill me.

I’m so sad it’s over 😢 this was such a fun trilogy!💥👏

“I enslaved myself to my duty and lost my sense of wonder. But you, you’ve awakened something inside of me. When I’m near you, it’s like I’ve awakened from a long arduous dream and realize there is more than judgment and service. This may not make sense to you, but I think Osiris somehow understood. You are my gift.” ❣️

Everyone deserves love, even death himself 💀🖤

A fabulous finale to this trilogy and this final piece managed to bring closure and close the chapter on Grimm and Vivian. It was action filled with some heart-stopping occurrences and some real moments of emotional torture very well done and I was absolutely gripped throughout the unfolding drama.

I adore Grimm and Vivian they have definitely won a place in my top memorable pairings hall of fame. Their love and devotion for each other especially Grimm makes my heart go pitter patter and my ovaries explode

This series has been an absolute dream and I’ve enjoyed it immensely. If your looking for some excellent epic paranormal romance with some great supporting characters who equally shine this is the series for you and it’s one I highly recommend reading.

This was unfortunately disappointing. I hoped for so much more in this book, since the previous two were wonderful! I lost interest halfway through and was contemplating whether or not to DNF.

Okay so in the first 30%-40% of the book, the only thing it is talked about is how Viv is not ready to tell Grim that she loves him and that him being a needy child every time she doesn't say it back. And he says it soooo often and then he has a look of a kicked puppy afterward. Like what did you expect, give the girl some time, and don't be all over her saying things she is not ready to say back. Honestly so annoying. And extremely boring.

Then he is "killed" (mostly because she is late to their date, which again my petty ass can't forget because I think it is super disrespectful... I mean 15min okay but 2 hours late???), and of course, she will say it while he is taking his last breaths. Then the next 10%-15% of the book is her getting him back (because he is a god and ofc there is a way to do this) and telling everyone how she was stupid because he did not say she loved him. And then proceeds to tell him so many times it is out of character. He remembers her because she says she loves him... I meannnnnn just a bunch of I love you-s that don't have any meaning in the end.

And then there is a final battle with the bad guys and then Viv gets killed and he saves her (all the while monologing in his head how he can't lose her and how he loves her....) and breaks their blood bond to set her free.

They defeat the bad guys and she lives and they get married.

It is cliche after cliche after cliche and it is just not what I came to expect from the author.
Personally, I am just not a fan of double-killing and bringing back main characters, it makes me think that the author lost the will to write the book.

However, there are many positives as well:
- Cookie Monster (and it's funeral idea)
- Jenkins and the little people inside her head
- Timothy and Aaron <3<3<3<3
- Even though I hated them, the love between the sisters is well written
- Apep and his dismembering - loved the scene and the girl power aspect of it
- Miranda and the sword

There an also a couple of things that seemed they were not sorted out, I don't know if there is another series featuring another couple but somehow there are a lot of open ends that could potentially make a good story.

This is one hell of an ending to Vivien and Grim’s story! It’s been an enjoyable journey, it’s been exciting, it’s had plenty of action, it’s intriguing and steamy and so much fun! It’s intense and full of twists and turns and surprises I did not see coming and it’s emotional and stomps on your feelings and breaks your heart before picking up the pieces and putting it all back together again. The world building has continued to enthral, the characters are marvellous and the storyline fantastic and I have loved every minute of this series and the author has done a fantastic job with the ending!

All good things must come to an end and what an end we were gifted! When I say all the feels I literally mean all I feels. I laughed so hard I snorted, a cried like a newborn baby, I grieved, I hoped, and I rejoiced.

From book 1 Vivien had my heart. She’s full of sass and snark and is unapologetically who she is no matter who she offends. Over the course of the 3 books we see her claw her way from a lost newly turned vampire who’s angry to her new circumstances to a confident bada** who takes care of herself and the ones she loves.

Grim. Our beloved God of Death. How he has grown in all the best ways. Swoon worthy isn’t even close to how amazing this character is. When we first meet this Devine God of the dead he’s angry and lonely. His unhappiness with his new acquired vampire to loving her. Over the three books we watch as Grim slowly let’s go of his control and accept love into his life.

This book is my favorite of the series. There is heart pounding action. Suspense and mystery. Love and grief. Heart break and happy endings. When I say you need to read this series I mean you NEED to read this series. Like go now and read this series.

Stand Alone: No
Steam:🔥🔥🔥🔥
HEA: Yes 💖

P.S. Read the books and then join me in TEAM Timothy & Aaron need a book! Oh and more reaper puppies 😘

Characters:
Vivian/ & Grim/Death/

Synopsis:

Series Overall: 4.4/5
WHEW. Ok... So, this book started off not my favorite. That being said, the series overall was a lot of fun. Vivian was a mess of a character (in the best way). The side characters were great too. I also thought the villains were generally interesting as well with their complications. It made for an interesting journey. I know the author is continuing this universe with Xander and Miranda and I'm definitely excited for that because his brief role in this book set it up great and I want more.

Put. Up. Trigger. Warnings.

Vivien loves Grim. That's undeniable. Her being able to say it? That's the sticking point. The words just won't come. But tragedy strikes in the most unexpected way and she loses her chance. But a determined immortal vampire is nothing to sneeze at. And when Vivien is the determined immortal vampire...well, rules get broken, prophecies are smashed and the playing field is leveled.

Spoilers ahead.
You do not respect readers when you don't put up trigger warnings. I should have guessed when there was absolutely no warning for child sexual assault. But I blithely went into this thinking well, it's already been uncovered and mentioned. She doesn't dwell on it, it's safe. Then get blindsided, again, by what a god does to his sehkor slaves. No. That's 2 out of 3 books, 2 that mention rape and the subverting of another's will for sexual gratification and not a single hint of a warning. Just no. It's not sexy. If you absolutely have to include it in romances, for pity's sake, warn your readers. Some of us do not enjoy it. Many of us are tired of the trope snuck into what should be enjoyable escapism reads. And so very many of us are tired of the nightmares of being surprised by this crap in books that don't even tell you to go to the author's site for a list. Which is a copout. Along with vague mentions of "dark themes". Just say it. Don't lead us on chases or dither about. Let us know so we can avoid triggers and nightmares. Please. And if you absolute have to add it in there, do as some authors have and put up a warning in the foremention of the book, or at the chapter beginning, so readers can skip past it. It's a courtesy too often not granted but adored when it is. Relken and a few others are some of my treasured authors because they warn you. I can enjoy the book without weeks of nightmares and memories of my own trauma surfacing.

Oh. And the finish? Osiris is handing out wishes and he gifts her a joint pleasure bond? Not something that protects vampires from sadistic gods - like maybe a dual bond. So that the god yanking on the blood bond feels everything that the vampire does. They inflict pain or suffering, they experience the pain and suffering as if it was their own- no ability to muffle it. Because far too many still see them as slaves and weapons. All these new baby vamps and many have been attacked, assaulted and mind controlled into horrible acts they will remember for their long eternal lives, no way to prevent it from happening again, and it's not going to cause resentment that will build to a new war?

Trigger warnings? Explicit sex scenes... like, a lot; sexual abuse of power (no rape).*

Death can't die... Can he?

I can't take this book out of my head.

Vivien and Grim are finally together, but they still have a lot to solve in their relationship.
That’s exactly the issue, Vivien. We have all the time in the world, which means pain and uncertainty can last as long. Your uncertainty. My pain.
We get to see a lot more of the gods, and also of the human friends that somehow get in the middle of all this. We finally get to know Timothy a little more, and he's just so cute. All the "secondary" characters are absolutely amazing and add so much to the story. Starting with Miranda who is not badass but badassest, the god of badass if that existed.

I absolutely loved the development of Vivien and Grim's relationship. Even though there were moments when my heart cracked.
“No one has ever loved me the way that you have. No one has allowed me to be so unapologetically myself and loved me so deeply and intensely. I’m not afraid of your intensity. I’m afraid of losing you because I can’t give you what you want fast enough.”

Actual picture of my heart right now.

Vivien is badass as always, and Grim is just like a cute-puppy-english-gentleman. No idea why English but I really can picture him drinking tea with the queen.

I want to say so much more, but I'm lost for words.

I don't like to compare, but this book reminded me of Titan saga by JLA. Which I consider one of my favorite books ever, so you can know how much I liked this one.

I really hope everyone can give this book a chance. It's extremely sweet, romantic, funny, action packed and steamy and seriously everything a good book needs.

My heart suffered, then completely broke, then was fixed and feeling full just for having a heart attack. I literally cried over cupcakes, that should tell everything. Fortunately, my heart is happy now, except for saying goodbye to Vivien and Grim.

Disclaimer: Please remember that these are my opinions and if you feel differently, that’s okay. Thanks!

Notes: POV = Dual, 1st person, FMC & MMC
Overall: You’ll either like this as a quick read or you’ll DNF it.

Main Characters: Shockingly, I felt less and less for Vivien and Grim as the series went on. Probably because the romance was lacking.

Side Characters: I am very excited to see more from Xander and Miranda. I like them.

Plot/Story: It felt like very little time had passed from the beginning of the first book to the end of this one, that’s what disappointed me the most. However, I like the villain's reasoning. We love when they’re not just one dimensional and greedy.

Romance: I liked it, but it still feels like there is just something missing. I don’t know how to explain it. Maybe it’s the fact that we are told that they have standing date nights but we only experience two; one ends in a fight and the other ends worse so we never get to see the actual romance, only the lust.

General: It’s become a bit repetitive the more that I read. The amount of times they mention “if she needed oxygen” or her breathing even though she doesn’t have to, etc, is exhausting. Also the repetition about Vivien’s left boob.

I didn't want the series with Vivien and Grim to end!

The end of a fantastic series!

Ny goodness. At one point, I kept tearing up. I refused to cry, knowing that everything, of course, would work out okay, but I couldn't help it. It got to the point I messaged my husband in another room telling him that I was reading a sad part of a book, was crying, and asked him to bake me cookies to make me feel better! The author did a great job pulling at my heart strings a bit, especially in the first half of this book!

It's FINALLY discovered who was behind all of the chaos and uprising. With the help of her friends, Vivien is able to tackle any problem thrown at her and eventually try to make things right again, even if things aren't exactly the way they were before.

I'm sad the series with Grim and Vivien have come to an end, but after reading the bonus epilogue, it seems Miranda and Xander are getting their own story! (If it isn't released already.) This was a really enjoyable read, I can't believe I didn't get to it sooner, but it was excellent!

(My only criticism is that there were a few errors in this book, not with spelling so much as the wrong character name mentioned (eg. Miranda and Timothy, when it should have said Miranda and Aaron), "her face" instead of "his face," etc. Just snark things!)

Series Review

I really liked the premise of this series. It was different and it did different well.

I liked that each book had its own story arc within the series arc. I liked that each was fully resolved each book.

I like that there were well defined characters who developed and had their own voices so they didn’t blend together as one.

Reasons I cut some stars…

There were some repetitive bits that drove me nuts. The fmc constant repetition about betting her left boob were funny the first time but every time After it quickly got annoying.

The timeline was confusing at first it felt like weeks but I must have missed when months passed. Mmc was annoyed fmc wouldn’t verbally acknowledge feelings and to me it just felt so rushed because the timeline didn’t feel more than a week or two to me.

The final was while I enjoyed this and many secondary characters it would have been better to be a completed series without spin offs so having the secondary’s grow and round out would have been nice. I like them and the world was interesting but idk if there’s enough to make me want to delve into multi book series for each secondary character.

Overall, fun, easy series to read with a different take on gods and mythology.

This book could have been a novella with all the unnecessary rambling. While I love a good book with spice, this book over did it to the point I was over it. I also didn't care for the fact that Grim seemed to become so obsessed with Vivien that he couldn't think clearly about his job, causing him to be unaware of his surroundings at times. This was a crappy development for his character imo.

The good part of the book happened towards the last quarter of the book and was a little rushed. A god was sent back to the cradle, a vampy god was awakened, and hell seemed to break out on Earth. The only way to stop it was to wake the god that "died" in order to defeat the one who has been reckelessy turning humans into vampires.  Vivien and Grim, along with their friends, are able to stop the ones responsible and live HEA. I was sad for Timothy and really hope he allows himself some semblance of happiness.

Overall, if you read this book  I can say that most can be schemed, and you will get the gist of the main parts of the story.

I also see there is a spend off with Miranda, and I loved her character and found the crazy god interesting, so I will be giving that book a try and hope it doesn't disappoint.

Last but not least?
Saving the best for last?

Pick which ever saying that means this series finishes with a bang!

Which also means I'm zipping my lips!

Oh how roller-coaster rise this is!!! More do that the other two!!

I will say.. I want a reaper puppy! And oh to have a guy like death.. With his mannerisms, his actions, his words, his love, his.... Assets... Just perfection!

Vivien the last vampire has a fantastic attitude and a strong sense of independence, a lot due to her history that she must face and overcome... But does she leave it too late to say the words that Grim longs to hear?

I love the Timothy/Aaron storyline. So cute. Would be nice to have known if Miranda had a happy ending...

A truly great series to read. It got spicier and spicier as the story went on which I loved!
Oh - and I was right about the big bad villain which made me feel whoo hoo!!!

If you love vampires with a good kick ass side, and God's in the modern era in Vegas...ig you loved Buffy the vampire slayer this is definitely for you.. You'll love it!!

Ms Roberds, thank you so much for such a great trilogy!! You should totally do a kickstarter or something for them. I know if get them!!?

I'm sad it's over!!
If anyone has any suggestions what to read now.. I'd love to hear them!!

OH MY WORD!!

What a perfect ending to a simply perfect series!! After fighting god after god, overcoming immeasurable obstacles and investigating just who or what might be trying to upset the worlds balance Vivian and Grim seem to finally be settling into a routine, a routine that allows them to openly love each other even if one of them is still a little to stubborn or fearful to admit the depths of their feelings. And then the unthinkable happens one of our main characters go down! And it appears they are not going to get back up, have no fear though their love is on the way to make sure that they return to the world and back to the fight. I don’t want to give to much away because… spoilers but honestly this series is literally perfect for all paranormal romance fans. If you’re looking for a series with mythology, paranormal creatures, vampires, Egyptian gods, an amazing plot, betrayal, twists and turns, and a steamy enemies to lovers romance then don’t sleep on the Vegas Immortals series… now I leave you all so I may go wallow in misery that this series has come to an end 😭

HAPPY READING!!

All in all this was a satisfactory end to the series.

It had some weaknesses. It didn’t have the same humor as the previous two books, and like the other two, none of the gods quite got real personalities.

Grim: Thousands of years old, but still insecure about hearing “I love you.” Eats random food even though his one true weakness that will kill him is eating the wrong thing.

Galina: Likes cats and her sister. Her cats and her sister have the same personality flaw: they randomly attack people.

The Original: Wakes up from her nap and is hangry.

Idris: Nice guy, except for his constant need to betray everyone. Has mommy issues.

Timothy: Likes coffee and baristas. Big fan of iPads.

Fallon: Super powerful. Except when he’s not.

Bianca: Can see the future, supposedly. But not really.

Xander: Crazy guy in the basement. Knows all the answers. Thankfully. Because no one else did.

Snake guy: Lives in a dank cellar. Gets involved with vampire rape within 2 hours of vampires becoming a thing again.

Isis: MIA despite being the mother or sister of most of these other gods.

Osiris: Likes giant thrones and interplanetary travel.

Gods, the amount of times these immortals try to die. Like come on now you know you can’t do that, especially not to me. I KNEW there was something off about cat women, she was a little too nonchalant 🤨 Also I fully stand by Miranda being the guardian of the Blade of Bane, like it could just tell she was bad bitch. And she has been throughout the entire series. I PHYSICALLY WONT BE ABLE TO BREATHE if Timothy and Aaron’s relationship doesn’t go anywhere. I am rooting for them, they are so fucking adorable 😭 Grim and Vivien were just that, pretty fucking great😁. Still can’t get over them walking together for eternity, is that too much to ask for?

“Vivien?” I asked.
Relief swept across her face. “I love you,” she choked out again.
A shudder ripped through my body. I’d waited so long to hear those words from her. Vivien had given me her body, gifted me her will not once, but twice, and at last, I possessed her heart.
I released the tight grip I had on her hair and leaned over to brush my lips against her so gently. “I love you, Vivien, beyond eternity.”

Okay i just finished this book and omggggggg…..I almost dropped this series when i was in the first book(Bitten by Dead) becoz the leads were always on there necks. Obviously its a enemies to lovers troupe and they didn’t know what to with there sexual tension and it didn’t had any spice at all. I thought why should i continue this book but still i kept reading it because there was a annoying feeling in my mind that i will regret later if i drop this one. And the author gave a huge surprise in the end of the first book so i immediately jumped into the second book and here i am telling you guys that i would have regretted a lot if i dropped this masterpiece.
First of all can we talk about the spice????😫❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
I thought of dropping this book becoz I thought this series doesn’t have spicy romance. I was squealing like a baby and fanning myself while reading this book. And can we talk about the chemistry here? They came very long way with their relationship. And this series is going in my Fav 🌟 star read of this year

Phenomenal!!

I can’t express just how much I loved this Series. Seduced by Death was a Great ending to the Trilogy, I’m so sad that it’s come to an end. I could seriously stay lost in this book world forever! In this book we started off full of adrenaline, with some kicka33 scenes and one of our ships is finally blooming!! But I have to say at about 50% in I was completely sideblinded. I never say that coming, and at first I didn’t believe it was real. When the truth finally set in, I was absolutely devastated. And like the ho3 I am, as soon as 7kinds of crazy came into the picture I was soooo gone for him. That little snip we get of Xander just wasn’t enough, I need him!!!! Ahhh but anywho. Everything that happened next was insane and I was so on edge!! Gah, my poor heart! The ending was fantastic! I squealed so many times! I’m so sad it’s over!!! I loved it!! ALL of IT! It was beautifully written, so consuming. This is my new favorite tell all Vampire/Paranormal Steamy Romance! I can’t wait to see what other gems Roberds has written!

“You can’t change the beginning, but you can change the ending"

I loved this. I had a feeling who it was when the note came in the box but wanted to be wrong so bad. I was hooked on this series. Although I feel there are some plot holes. I hoping what I read in the bonus chapter gets solved with Vivien and Grims help. I mean it is kinda their fault lol. I wished we got to see the wedding after their fun time.

Now, some of the chapter felt rushed and weird. I can't really say more without giving away spoilers. Although some scenes felt rushed it didn't make them bad. I wholeheartedly felt Viviens pain. With Grim being as ancient as the author describes in the series I can't help but feel like he should've had a more expansive and older vocabulary. I just felt he acted and spoke to much like a Millennial.

Last thing I swear. Where and what with Idris?? I hope we get the lose end fixed and resloved.

It was great series regardless. Loved it and most likely will read again

Sass and spice

Just wrapped up this series and let me tell you, Vivian owned every single page. She’s funny, caring, and the perfect mix of smart-aleck and chaotic, gremlin energy. The girl can have you laughing, rolling your eyes, and cheering her on all in the same breath. Honestly, she’s the type to roast you mid-crisis and somehow make it sound like a compliment.

And let’s talk about the spice for a second… because whew. It was there, it was great, and it delivered exactly what the story (and I) needed.

Vivian and Grim’s ending? Absolutely chef’s kiss. It was sweet, satisfying, and had me kicking my feet like I was 16 again. Totally worth every bit of drama leading up to it. 10/10 would reread just for Vivian’s attitude.

Oh, and Miranda was the best unexpected best friend and I sooooo would read a story about her too! Wait that's what book 4 is about! So excited.

Amazing!

If I could give this more than a 5 star I would! This book is a wild ride that grabs you on the first page and doesn’t let you go until the grand finale. And what an ending it is! I was totally blown away by this book!

Vivian is still looking for the Blade of Bane that someone has and is killing gods with. She thinks she has found it, but it turns out to be a fake to throw her off. Vivian and Grim’s relationship has developed into love, but she is afraid to say it to Grim, even though he tells her all the time. But her old insecurities are holding her back. Being immortal she thinks she has all the time in the world, but things deteriorate rapidly getting totally out of control! Will they both survive to end the threat before the world is destroyed?

Don’t miss this wild ride to the end! I can't wait to see what Holly comes up with next!

OMFG! I think this book actually killed me! What the hell happened almost halfway through the book?!!!!! I sat there crying with my kids asking what was wrong! I held up my kindle and they gave me a look, sighed and walked away leaving me in my book grief! This last book is the shortest of the 3 but in no way delivers any less trauma, godlike action and hot bedroom sizzle. Do I wish it was longer? Hell yes, I’m nowhere near ready to say goodbye to Vivian and Grim. I seriously have loved every second of reading this series and listening to the audio books which are just as good. Can this be read as a standalone? Most definitely not, you have to have read the previous books or nothing will make sense. 100% recommend this book. Just hoping another god from this world gets a story next because this world is just to good to leave yet.
