An adaptation of the scripts of 4 streams intended for production on the Dream SMP. Due to all 4 scripts being written before Ranboo’s death it is best to take this story as being in it’s own timeline that is respective of the character of Wilbur Soot. The actors have signed off that the actions taken by the characters in this story are accurate and representative. It is up to audience interpretation which timeline is canon to the greater storyline. For all future lore based around Wilbur, this is canon.
“Hitting on 16” by Wilbur Soot has garnered attention due to the author’s popularity in the online community, particularly among fans of his music and streaming content. However, despite the hype surrounding this ebook, it ultimately falls short of expectations.
The storyline lacks depth and coherence. The characters are underdeveloped and often feel like mere caricatures rather than fully realized individuals. This lack of character development makes it difficult for readers to connect with them or invest in their journeys. The plot itself is predictable and fails to deliver any significant twists or engaging moments that would keep readers interested.
Wilbur Soot’s writing style in this ebook does not showcase the same creativity or flair that he exhibits in his music. The prose feels clunky at times, with awkward phrasing and a lack of polish that detracts from the overall reading experience. While some may appreciate a casual tone, it often comes off as unrefined and lacking the sophistication one might expect from a published author.
The themes presented in “Hitting on 16” are superficial at best. While there are attempts to address important topics, they are handled in a way that feels rushed and insincere. Readers may find themselves questioning the authenticity of the messages being conveyed, as they seem more like an afterthought rather than integral parts of the narrative.
Overall, “Hitting on 16” is disappointing for those who hoped for a compelling story from Wilbur Soot. It lacks the depth, character development, and polished writing necessary to make it a worthwhile read. Fans of his music may find some enjoyment in supporting him as an author, but those seeking a well-crafted narrative should look elsewhere.
You can call me biased, but you can really tell that Wilbur very good a writing. Even through his song lyrics, he knows exactly what needs to be written for that moment.
