Cute love story. Quick and easy read with minimal errors. I liked the feisty females, they kept me laughing. But that ratchet Blake was doing the most! This book had it's share of stand up dudes and good for nothing losers. I look forward to continuing the series to see what may be in store for Moet, Monet, Tammy and their significant others and pasts that still linger.

Some books make you smile. Others make you scream. But B.A.E? Baby… this one had me pacing the room. Jahquel J said, “Let me show you what it really means to love somebody before anybody else,” and then proceeded to tear my emotions to shreds in the most addicting way possible.
This wasn’t no fairy tale. This was that “I’ll fight the world for you, but we might fight each other first” type of love. Messy, raw, and so real you can feel the tension through the pages. The passion? Toxic but necessary. The loyalty? Unmatched. And the drama? Baby, it was giving soap opera in the trenches. Every character came with baggage, secrets, and motives.Nobody was safe, everybody had something to lose, and that ending? Yeah… I was not expecting that.

OMG I loved this book.This author is bad with her pen game.Im pissed at the ending I'm hoping Monett is going to be okay and Jonathan gets serious help.Im happy for Monet and Zane they are too cute and she deserves happiness.because Ki really did a number on her and then still wants to lie to her face.Im glad she got outta that.Blake that's wat her ass gets Karma is a Bitch.She shouldn't have done that and now loon where being trifling got her.Ki needs to grow up and move on like it's your fault that your unhappy.Moneyt and Kareem relationship is so cute I'm happy for them.Poor Tammy idk wat I would do I would probably be just like she is right now,her world went from sugar to sadness fast

I never wanted this book to end. *sighs*
I think I might make a shelf for the books with characters that I swear I know in real life (lol) and that's what this book was to me. The story progressed at a nice pace. It wasn't too slow or too rushed. I also loved how the author divided the chapters differently. There were multiple characters p-o-v within one chapter and it was done nicely.
Jahquel J made these characters very real, relatable. Moet was my favorite. (I know I know lol) but she really is my fav.! I don't want to leave any spoilers but I'll just say "That ending... Man oh man." I love this book. Nice one Jahquel J.!

ALL I CAN SAY IS DAMMMMMMMMMMMMMN‼️‼️‼️
This was a good book. It was a little fast paced but it flowed very well. If I had to choose my favorite passage of the book, it would have to be when Blake told Tammy she had herpes.

I ended the call and my doorbell rang. “What the hell is this, annoy Tammy day?” I said to no one in particular as I went to the door. Blake was standing on the stoop with tears coming down her face, and bruises on her neck. I welcomed her in and braced myself for the craziness that was about to come out her mouth. I knew she was going to come with some bullshit. We walked into the kitchen, and she sat at my counter. I reached up on the top shelf and got my bottle of tequila and two shot glasses. We both could use a drink right about now. Her more than me. “What’s going on with you?” I asked, handing her a shot of tequila. She took the shot back, and I refilled it. She took that one back too. I didn’t refill her shit, because she wasn’t about to kill my bottle. “I’m still fucking with Ki,” she revealed, and I slapped her. It was by reaction, and I put my hand to my mouth afterward. “My bad, Blake, but when you come in and say that shit I can’t be held for my actions. Why are you still messing with him?” “I don’t know. A part me just wants him to want me like he does Moet. I’m fucking with his brothers too, and now I found out I got Herpes and am pregnant.” She continued to drop bomb after bomb. I pushed the shot glass she used towards her. “You can have that cup, since you got Herpes and shit.” “Tammy, stop playing,” she sighed. “Nah, I’m dead serious.” I opened her purse and sat in inside. That bitch has Herpes and I wasn’t putting that glass back in my cabinet. Shit, it sounded ignorant, but I’d rather be that than have a bum bump on my damn lip. “See, I come to you as a friend about my problem and you’re making jokes about it,” she snapped, and I had to look behind me, just in case she lost her mind and so happened to behind me. “No, ain’t nothing a joke. But that bitch Karma got your ass and it’s your own fault. Moet expressed to us how much she loved Ki, and how she was so brokenhearted. We wiped her tears, and told her she deserved better. And then you go and fuck him, and have no remorse. Bad enough you fucked him, but then you continue to do it after this bitch whipped your ass.” I took a shot and then continued. “Now, you’re pregnant by God knows who, and have a sexually transmitted disease.” “I know; you don’t have to rub it in. Anytime I need help you can never just be on my side,” she mumbled. “Being a friend isn’t being on your side. It’s about letting you know when you fucked up. You seem to only come around when you need me. What about when I need you? You’re never around. Rick has cancer, and have you checked on me to find that out? Nah, but soon as you in a hoe jam, you need me to be Iyanla and fix your fucked up life. Blake, get you hoe ass out my house, and take the damn stool with you.” She hopped off the stool and grabbed her bag. “I’m sorry about Rick, but your loyalty will always remain with Moet. I should have known that I couldn’t be friends with you, while you’re friends with her.” “You are damn right. Moet ain’t never crossed me, and she’s begging to talk to me, not only when she has a problem. She checks on me more than her mother!” “So that’s why you hooked her up with Zane instead of me?” I slapped my hands against my thigh and laughed. “I would never introduce my cousin to a hoe. He wants a woman that hasn’t been around, and you my friend, is like a damn door knob, everybody gets a turn.” She rolled her eyes and walked out the door. I was coming right behind her with the stool and threw it behind her. “Take this shit, with your infected pussy!” I yelled, and she flipped me the bird. “Bitch, I’ll come out and hand your ass to you. You don’t want it with me, Blake,” I warned and the bitch dropped her purse like she wanted to fight.

The Story is good
I've heard so much about this story and glad I jumped into it. It an easy feel good read. I like that the female characters are independent with strong parents. Having a good upbringing in a book is always key. Kion is a sad puppy and Blake is super dumb. Ki may be a smart business man, but he got screwed up to think someone would wait does hiatus triflin tail. Rick decision was upsetting he knew his wife did not play about him. I like that the story didn't make the celebrity cousin to be a snob. Him being genuine made the story, his love was real and he really token care of family. As for Jonathan simple tail, he better not have caused any damage, off to part 2.

Moet went thru so much with Ki who cheated on her constantly with her friend Blake who sleeps with every body men. She meets her best friend Tammy famous cousin Zane. Her sister Monnet is in a abusive relationship with jealous Jonathan who she pregnant she got the courage to leave. Tammy husband has bone cancer and is dieing. Moet has fallen for Zane the famous boxer but his side piece keep getting out of pocket. Hakeem is Zane manger who falls hard for her sister he wants her to move in with him. Jonthan runs her off the rode trying to kill her she is in her last month of pregnancy will she and her son survive.

Alright read, Rick’s situation was better to read about than what was going on with Zane and Moet. I don’t see why she was sooo sick like that without something coming out of it. Their relationship was moving way too fast for her to still be hung up on Ki. The ending was alright but the situation was a bit much; if that was the case Jonathan should’ve been more active in the story so his crazy didn’t come off as just a way to leave you hanging until the next one.

Hakeem gonna have a field day with him if Moet doesn't get to him first. My heart is breaking for Tammy. I hope through some miracle Rick beat this bone cancer but it's really not looking to good. This was a great book. Jonathan is narcissistic and violent. He needed to be dealt with. Ki can’t handle losing control. I was hoping that karma hit him from messing with Blake’s nasty tail.
Moet and Monett needed to find real love. They have been through a lot. I hope Ki and Jonathan don’t ruin it for them.

A Good Read
At first it kind of started off slow and then I made myself read it because I enjoy reading and I enjoy exploring new authors. I’m glad I finished it....it was well worth it!! These characters give me life lol especially all the ladies except for Blake. I really wanted too snatch that side piece up.

I love this book. Yes, I was hooked from page 1. I had been putting this series off but I'm glad I finally started reading it. Ki is just as dirty as Blake. I'm glad Moet moved on. I'm glad Monett moved on also. I hope she survives. Jonathan is crazy. Can't wait to dive into book 2.

As I go thru Jahquel ‘s catalog I fall in love with her characters .... Moët is my girl in this book and her tough demeanor reminds me of myself.... I love how she and Zane are taking a chance on one another . Let’s see how good book 2 will be .

This was a good read. I love how Zane didn’t give up when pursuing Moet. The only thing I didn’t like was how it took a long time to actually get to the drama. The ending was ok but it could have been better. Hopefully in part 2 we’ll see more drama. I give this book 3 ⭐️ ‘s

I’m glad the sisters weren’t going backwards. My heart hurts for what is happening to Tammy though. I’m always hoping for a happy ending. Great writing and will have you in an emotional roller coaster from beginning until the end.

Without giving away any spoilers, I cried like a baby towards the end of this book. I’ve taken a break from Jah’s catalog since I finished Quasim 2. But one thing Jah is gonna make you do is cry!!!! Oh, and the cliffhangers. Maa’m!!!!! Why you be doing us like this???
