An Angel's Grace From the moment he saw her, her lovely flame hair spread about her shoulders like a glowing halo, Standing Wolf thought of no other. She was a vision - an angel with beautiful blue eyes that looked deep into his and saw his every emotion. She had rescued him, body and soul, and he knew that when he had finally claimed her as his one and only love, he would never leave her side.
A Warrior's Touch Shaylee had never dreamed that she would be given another chance at life and love. But Standing Wolf needed her as no one ever had: He was her destiny. As she nursed the handsome Cherokee warrior back to health, she longed to feel his heard muscled body beneath her fingertips and taste his sweet kisses. For only his touch could erase the pain of her past and unite them as one.

Edwards and her husband Charles, a retired high school biology teacher, have been married for over 50 years. They have two sons, Charles and Brian, and three grandchildren. The family lived in St. Louis, Missouri for over thirty years, but now reside in Mattoon, Illinois.
Shaylee is on her own after her husband is killed by renegades, trying to raise their infant child. one day the same renegades pay her a visit, they kidnap her infant son and shoot her in the back with a bow and arrow. Shaylee dies and goes to a place that is half way between here and heaven. God speaks with her and asks her if she wants to continue on to heaven or have a second chance at life. She asks if she will ever be with her son again and God says in time, but first she has to pass a test.
Standing Wolf has had some hardships of his own. He lost his father who was the chief at a very young age as well as his mom. He also lost his wife and unborn child due to delivery complications. While he is out turkey hunting his enemy attacks him from behind with a club to the head. His enemy steals Standing wolfs knife with the intentions of killing the chief with it and everyone blaming Standing Wolf for it.
Shaylee comes back to earth as an angel and her first test is to nurse Standing Wolf back to good health so he can return to his tribe.
This was a very different take on Cassie Edwards stories, I wasnt expecting an angel in her stories, but I loved it. This story kept me interested all the way through. Thank you Cassie for another great story.
Such heart ache that ends in a happy ending. A woman who had everything taken from her(a son, a husband and her own life) was given a second chance. She went through a trial as a angel and was given a second chance in life to not only find love again but find the son that was taken from her, etc.

Good read, not really a fan of the religious aspect that brings the main characters together, but it was ok. First book by Edwards that I've read where she doesn't mention the name of the title in the tale, so props for that!
