This is book three, the final book in the McCabe Brothers series by Julie Capulet. I am such a fan of Julie’s heroes. I am a bit obsessed with her character Rafe from XOXO I Love You. I never thought anyone could ever compete with my love for him. Well, I was wrong.
Gage McCabe is twenty seven years old and runs his own business in Chicago. He has made himself rich buying up failing businesses and working his magic. Gage grew up constantly surrounded by the love his parents had for each other. With their story of love at first sight. But after he tragically lost them, he lost part of himself. He no longer believed himself capable of love. He is arrogant beyond belief. Women love him for what he can do for them but they only get one night. Never more. When you first meet Gage, you might even dislike him. But just wait. Because when Gage meets the one and only woman who seems to be immune to his charms, the woman that invades his dreams, his every waking thought, who challenges his sanity, well, it’s a beautiful thing.
Luna LaRoux co-owns a bar on the beach in Key West with her best friend, Josie. Josie owns fifty one percent to Luna’s forty nine. This is Luna’s dream, living on the beach, owning her own business. Gage had randomly walked into the Sea Breeze off the beach and was sitting at the bar when he first saw her. She was beautiful and took his breath away. But for some reason, she doesn’t seem to notice him! When he overhears a conversation between the two owners and learns of their problem, he sees the perfect opportunity to win over this beautiful woman. He’ll be her business partner!
Gage was pretty hilarious. He was so perplexed! Why couldn’t he stop thinking about this woman that didn’t even want him? He could have anyone he wanted. Why did he only want her? He was buying a bar just to be near her! Maybe he was losing his sanity? Something special happened in this book. There was that “moment.” That moment where something happens that takes it from really enjoying the book to LOVING the book. I freaking love it when that happens.
This was such a fun read. Gage was perfect. And let me tell you that there are not one, not two but three epilogues. You’ll get all the happy ever after you can handle. We also get a big peek into the McCabe brother’s cousins, The Tucker Brothers Band, Travis, Vaughn and Kade. They are going to star in Julie’s new, upcoming series, Music City Lovers. The first book will be Nashville Days and will be Travis’s story. I couldn’t be more excited.

At 1st I found Gage too damn Arrogant & yeah a real Bastard. As the story started to unfold you could see the change in Gage …. You see that that Gage was no longer that Bastard, you could see him starting to wear his heart on his sleeve, now if you notice I didn’t say anything about Gage losing any of his Arrogats
I figured since this was the last book in this series that we might see tiny bit more of Bo & Millie - Caleb & Violet… I felt somewhat disappointed, here
Bonus: for me was the - side story with Josie
There were few parts that were A Lil too predictable for my liking, maybe it’s cuz Bo & Millie were my favorite book of the series … So I debated on my rating of this book, between 3 or 4 stars on this one….
I want you to always remember ⬇

I wasn't keen on the start of this where uber wealthy manwhore/player Gage wants Luna in his bed, and is determined to do what he can to ensure it happens, but the insta-love he feels once embraced means soon he is doing everything he can to prove to her that he is serious and not going anywhere. Gage at the start had me so close to DNF-ing the book, just ick.
This had the potential to be seriously yummy, but the first half of the book didn't really work for me. I much preferred the latter half of the book.
Gage and Luna were good together - chemistry was clear.

Well, it happened.
Gage McCabe is now my favorite of the three McCabe brothers. I didn’t think it would be possible after reading Caleb’s book, but OMG. I swooned throughout this whole book. You know when you get that dreamy, far away look in your eyes while reading? Yeah, that was me while reading this story.
Enemies-to-lovers...check.
Dirty-talking Hero...oh yes, check.
A Hero who’s powerful, possessive, & passionate...check, check, check!
Gage is SO arrogant.
But he’s very confident while arrogant.
And he’s also SEXY AF while arrogant.
He knows what people see when they look at him. Women want him and men want to be him. He enters Luna’s bar one night and “accidentally” eavesdrops on a very important conversation.
Luna is sassy and headstrong and she has dreams. And they’re in Key West. Annnnnd she’s also anti-Gage. Big time. LOL. She has no time for relationships or flings or love or anything other than the success of her bar/restaurant.
But when her friend and business partner, Josie, decides she needs to move back to Iowa, Luna is torn. Torn between making a decision that could end her dream.
Imagine her surprise and anger and resentment when Mr. Sexy Arrogant Bastard himself approaches them and offers a deal that will change both of their lives.
Was this insta-love?
Oh yes.
But Gage didn’t want to accept it. Not right away. His inner dialogue was hilarious, because he just couldn’t figure out W. T. H. was going on and why he was having all these feelings. And Luna...well, she needed a little more coaxing and convincing that they were meant to meet, and destined to be together. She tried soooo hard to not want him. But Gage made it difficult, because he’s a gorgeous, sexy man.
And when Gage finally realized that she is THE ONE, and accepted it...it was a beautiful thing. It’s like a switch was flipped and he was all-in. Was he arrogant? Definitely. Was he a bastard? Some would say yes. But he more than made up for it in the end. When he falls, he falls hard. And when he loves, he loves BIG.
The steam level in this book was OFF THE CHARTS scorching hot. The dirty mouth on Gage...oh. my. goodness. DELICIOUS. *clutching my pearls*
This book made made me swoon, made my heart go pitter patter, and made my girly parts tingle.
If you loved books 1 & 2, you’ll need and love this book! If you haven’t read the McCabe brothers, this is me, telling you to go read them now.
p.s. Oh my goodness, the epilogues. They were the best! And the perfect set-up and tease for her next series with the sexy Tucker brothers. Bring. Them. On.

November 4, 2020I tried...I really really did but it wasn't a good sign when I was annoyed with the Hero right off the bat. His constantly repeated thoughts on his very active (VERY VERY VERY!! ACTIVE) sex life were disgusting. I had hopes for the heroine but I DNF'd after it was discovered that not only had she never had an orgasm but she had only had sex 1 time. Yes, I can forgive some because it was due to questionable consent BUT she immediately wrote off every single guy after that one event in high school.

Its now time for the last brother its pretty fast pace and little steam.. but dude has a dirty yummy mouth lol. You kinda get annoyed with Gage at first but you grow to like him.
Gage is the playboy brother who likes to date and enjoy life, he ends up in Florida because an ex fling blackmailed him with something that belongs to him. He doesnt even give her the time and day and leaves (he does get water thrown at him because another girl flirted with him) and he meetd Luna a bar owner with some problems of her own. Her best friend has to move back home and she needs someone to help invest in the bar.
These two at first glance are fire and ice.. Luna doesn't trust Gage and well Gage is feeling wired because he never felt these type of feelings before. Gage has a plan and the more he spends with Luna the more his single playboy ways fade. And when he learns more about Lunas past he really changes.. and i liked this Gage..and was rooting for him and Luna.. kinda glad there was no ow drama when he was with Luna.
Ow (an ex hook up) and no om drama, drama, Slight secondary charas, sexy times, no virgin and mentioned he was a manwhore (mentioned the girls but was faithful)

I am voluntarily reviewing an Advanced reader copy of this book.
Luna RaRoux is part owner of Sea Breeze a bar and restaurant business with her best friend Josie, these two have been friends for years and left their little town of Cedar Rapids together. But when Josie finds out that she is pregnant with twins unfortunately she is left with little choice other than to sell her half of the business leave Key West and return home. So she now finds herself in partnership with the handsome and very arrogant Gage McCabe, and he seems to be determined to pursue her but she is held back by her past and is made well aware of his reputation as a playboy. Will she give in to the feelings she has for the man she is convinced will break her or see that her own HEA is closer than she ever thought possible?
Gage is only in Key West for the weekend after one of his recent one night stands blackmails him with his late father’s cufflinks, knowing that he is planning to retrieve his cuff links and leave, well that is until he sees the beautiful woman behind the bar, he never believed the stories his father told him of knowing when they’d find love believing it was a myth. After over hearing a conversation between her and her business partner he makes Josie an offer that is too hard to refuse, is what Gage is feeling real love though, after watching his two brothers find love could this be his once chance at being happy and can he convince Luna that what he wants with her is everything and forever or has his reputation destroyed any chance of having a forever love?
I loved and I do mean loved this book, this is the final book in the McCabe brothers series and I hang my head in shame as this the first book of this author that I have read even though I own most of them, something that I intend of rectifying very soon. These two characters were great together and the change in Gage from the start was funny as he tried to come to terms with his feelings and his internal thoughts were brilliant. These two were only going to heal together. Highly recommended read 5*.

H aggressively chases the h, the h resists. H is kinda a douche canoe, so I can’t really blame her. H showers the h with gifts and love and his 10 inch giant hard-on. 🥰

The third book of the series, this one is the so called “playboy” of the brothers. The other two brothers is very opposite of this one so its very interesting.... it got me very curious about this one 😂
I’m glad this book is very a nice book.
Its not boring at all...

Mí humilde opinión:
Un hombre que creía era incapaz de amar y una mujer con miedo a confiar...
Gage es el mayor de los hermanos MacCabe.
Un cínico bastardo arrogante.
El soltero playboy más codiciado por las mujeres de Chicago.
La muerte trágica de sus padres que se amaban con locura ha dejado su marca y no quiere sentir por una mujer esa clase de amor.
Pero un viaje imprevisto a Florida lo lleva a encontrarse con una mujer que lo cambiará todo.
Luna LaRoux y su mejor amiga dirigen el bar Sea breeze en Key West, Florida.
Ese lugar frente al mar es su vida y su lugar en el mundo. Ha puesto todo de ella para hacerlo funcionar.
Las cosas se complican cuando Josie, su amiga y socia queda embarazada de gemelos y necesita el dinero por lo que debe vender su parte del negocio.
Ahí es donde aparece Gage y tras escuchar una conversación de sus problemas, les propone comprar pero más de la mitad del porcentaje que corresponde a Josie.
Luna conoce a los de su tipo, hombres poderosos y mujeriegos que se salen con la suya. Conoció a uno de esos en el pasado que la dejó marcada.
Gage es encantador, sexy y arrogante por lo que ella no cae en sus encantos.
No quiere tratar con él o que maneje su bar pero no tiene otra opción que aceptar.
Gage no puede soportar que Luna lo deteste, la mujeres lo aman! Quiere que ella lo desee, que caiga por él.
Pronto la tendrá en su cama y de paso un negocio rentable. Entonces, regresará a Chicago y seguirá con su vida... o eso creía.
Ambos lucharán a cada paso contra sus sentimientos pero pronto se darán cuenta que es imposible luchar contra el amor verdadero.
Estuve esperando poder al fin leer el libro de Gage, tuve curiosidad por él desde que apareció en el libro de Bo!
Me gustó la idea de enemigos a amantes, no podía ser de otra forma para la historia de Gage por cómo piensa sobre amor.
Si bien los hombres MacCabe se enamoran a primera vista, Gage se resiste al comienzo a aceptar que Luna es la mujer de su vida, nunca se ha enamorado y creyó que nunca le sucedería, y fue muy entretenido verlo luchar en su cabeza por todos esos nuevos sentimientos y negando que desde que la vio le ocurrió lo mismo que sus hermanos.
La trama no es complicada, es una lectura fácil de leer y yo me sumergí rápido en lo que estaba sucediendo.
El PDV alterna entre Gage y Luna. Si bien sentí que los personajes vivían en los monólogos en sus cabezas, demasiado, su historia de amor fue dulce y sentida.
Luna es como un espíritu libre, me gustó mucho su personalidad aunque no está claro su paso desde Iowa a Florida, me faltó un poco de información ahí.
Lo que si me desesperaba de Luna eran sus decisiones de escapar de Gage y lo que sentía por él, menos mal que no la dejó. Ella tiene una mala experiencia por la que dejó de confiar en los hombres así que me gustó verla crecer y sanar.
Gage era tan cínico y despiadado que quería matarlo, lo odié muchas veces pero me reí también y me dio pena su historia. Tenía cualidades buenas también y se redime al final lo que estuvo muy bueno de leer.
Me gustó ver trabajar a Gage por Luna, ella tuvo viene arrastrando con ella una mala experiencia con un chico y Gage se esfuerza por conquistarla. Ver cómo pasa de bastardo arrogante a un arrogante romántico devoto por una mujer fue entretenido de leer y extra sexy.
Sus personajes estaban bien escritos y me encantó lo bien que se desarrollaron a lo largo del libro. Los dos con una conexión fuerte y química ardiente con momentos de tensión deliciosos.
También destaco los personajes secundarios que apoyaron genial la historia de Gage y Luna. Amé a Josie y me encantó ver su final feliz también.
Morí de amor con los tres epilogos, los disfruté mucho sobretodo porque tiene las actualizaciones de todas las parejas y cómo lo están haciendo.
Se me caen las babas de querer leer la historia de los primos de Cage que forman The Tucker Brothers Band que son una banda de rock country, me encantó mucho conocerlos en este libro.
La serie MacCabe se ha hecho de mis favoritas, en general es muy buena, con lindas historias y personajes agradables, imposible debo querer. Me gusta el insta-love y fue un placer leerlo en esta serie.
Este no fue mí favorito como los dos anteriores pero estuvo muy bien.

Well, this title sure does fit this hero!
I watched a FB Live chat with narrator Troy Duran. I checked out his audio library-cuz I've been doing almost exclusively listening to audio books.
I found this recently released audiobook. + Maxine Mitchell also narrates! (I love her voice!) AND most of all I'm a fan of Julie Capulet.
This is set in Key West, Florida. I was a little bummed that there wasn't more description of the gorgeous setting.
Gage, the hero, is a wealthy businessman. He goes in to Luna's bar was evening. He overhears Luna and her partner (Josie) discussing selling 51% share in the business.
Gage is a jerk and much more that would and does make Luna dislike and distrust him. Gage has a lengthy inner narrative that is very off-putting. Oh no, stay away from this guy. By the way, narrator Troy really kills it as Gage as he spouts off his philosophy on men and women (good thing that this is his inner monologue). Sweet Luna has him figured out.
Gage has been just out for a good time and never wants to settle down or even have a relationship.
Luna keeps Gage at a distance. At first. The business proposition is too good to pass up.
There are brief glimpses of Gage and Luna's past and why neither of them want to get involved.
Then there's their attraction to each other...
This was a relatively short audio so it seemed to happen kind of fast.
I did like how Gage grew up more and more throughout the book. He was so self-centered before he met Luna. He found out why Luna is so closed off to men.
The 2nd half of this book got very steamy.
This can be a standalone. The ending is very good + a very nice epilogue!

Gage Gage Gage 4.5 ⭐️
Always the best for last or is it (although Bo is my fave) look I don’t want to 😂 at Gage, but he makes me, this guy is supposedly built like a p@wn star and he has a g@rg@ntuan 🍆 and idk whether to really crack up at how funny I find Gage and all but I know he’s definitely arrogant has major insecurities when it comes to love, and his way of trying to get Luna to fall for his charms wasn’t happening. Gage has many layers and he’s become the way he has by choice, he may be arrogant but I do however find that he’s actually a good guy and Luna is just as good for him.
All 3 books have been fun to read and since I was recommended these books by said author she doesn’t throw any punches when it comes to describing each brother 😉

The final McCabe brother gets his story, and it is my favorite of the three.
Let me tell you that I had severe reservations at my first introduction to Gage in this book. His arrogance level had both my eyebrows climbing and a (very delicate) snort coming from me. I will say that it did make me rub my hands knowing that he was going to be brought down a peg or two...and I was not disappointed. His fall is cataclysmic, and watching his struggle while trying to come to terms with all these FEELINGS was a great ride.
Our heroine, Luna, is amazingly mature with a hardened shell protecting a wounded center. She does her level best to steer clear of Gage to protect herself, but finds herself opening up to him as he shows her a different man than the one she initially met. Their story is surprisingly low in angst, and I loved how Gage wooed her. It could have come off as high handed, and it never did.
Overall, I really enjoyed the series, and this entry most of all.

Of the three books in this series, Arrogant Bastard is my favorite. Her characters are mature enough to know their own minds, yet damaged enough to be vulnerable. Gage is learning that money and unlimited sex are not enough, and Luna finds that she can’t hide forever. These two go through some challenging times, but eventually find their HEA. And I loved the side story with Josie, who also gets her HEA. Capulet is a master at writing dialogue that is interesting, relevant to the conversation, and seldom falls into the sappy sweet stuff so often seen in romance novels. The McCabe brothers have some pretty sexy cousins that I’d love to see as perhaps a separate, or subset to this, series.

Because youthful ignorance is the only excuse I'm willing to mention that is borderline acceptable for romanticising the shiteweasel walking STD of a hero in this book. Until we got to his POV I was kind of interested. And then "Gabe" opened his gob.
What a bawbag this guy is! I can't even for a hero who is so up his own arse he probably jizzes his trousers each time he sees his reflection. There will never be enough character growth to be even a little believable here.

Julie Capulet has done it again. I love the McCabe brothers but this one tops the 3. The Arrogant Bastard found his match. The story between Gabe and Luna, WOW he turned as romantic as his brothers, maybe even worse, it’s great that he found his love. Wish there would have been more of Bo and Caleb.

Wow! Arrogant Bastard was an amazing story as it hooked me in from the first page until the last and I couldn't put it down (stayed up til 3am until I finished it!). Gage really is an arrogant bastard (in the beginning) as he is a rich, arrogant, does-as-he-pleases playboy. The way he wouldn't take no for an answer and his persistence when he approaches Luna drove me crazy. Luna is such a great character as she is sassy, strong and brave though is super vulnerable. I love her relationship with her bestie Josie. However, throughout the story, we start to see Gage's vulnerability and his caring side as it relates to Luna. We also start to see Luna's struggles with her past, with her present and also with her feelings to Gage. This HEA story has a melt-your-heart ending as Gage wins over Luna with his soft and romantic words and actions. And of course, the amazingly steamy parts as well!

Well I said it before and I'll say it again; Julie Capulet is hands down one of my favorite authors. I swear each of her books gets better than the last which is crazy cause I absolutely Love all of her books.
Arrogant Bastard; I don't even know where to begin. Gage, damn did I fall for him. Honestly he was amazing. Broken but when you get in, your in! He came off as arrogant and a bit of an a** but under all of that he was just a loving, sweet, protective, loyal and down right bonafide guy. When he falls he falls very hard and he fell for Luna. Luna, like Gage was broken too and I just wanted to hug her and tell her everything will be ok! She was fantastic and I absolutely get why she acted the way she did. Together they were something magical! I definitely reccomend this book but if you haven't read the 1st book in this series (Hopeless Romantic) I suggest you start there!

Book 3 and the final book in the McCabe Brothers series and each book can be read as a standalone. An enemies to lovers romance which is one of my favorite tropes and I was all in for it. Loved it so much. Gage and Luna were really good together. They had a great chemistry once they let it consume them. Very steamy. Highly recommend this whole series.

Wow, wow, wow are the three words that are continuing to reverberate in my head after reading this superb story. A very strong story line that captured my attention at the very beginning and held it until the end. Sexy and heartfelt you will trouble putting this third McCabe Brothers story down. Don't be afraid to purchase this story, you won't regret it.

Gage is an astute businessman who lives his life in the fast lane. The brothers lost their parents in their teens, but their inheritance as much as their hard work lets them lead a carefree life with enough time to pursue their dreams. At twenty-seven years of age, Gabe has the means, the looks, and everything under the sun, barring love which he doesn't believe in. He thinks his brothers are being absolutely ridiculous, going and falling in love like that.
Twenty-three-year-old Luna comes from a broken home. And her desire to make a life for herself, alone, has led to her to set up her own - even if currently rundown - business.
Narrated in first-person dual perspective, Arrogant Bastard is a beautiful story with two scarred people coming together and attempting to create a loving relationship. Gage is in denial but he also seems to carry the same lovely curse as his brothers. The curse which we have already experienced in both the previous books.
A few instances cracked me up. And surprisingly, not one but two couples get their happy ending in this story. The other being Luna's friend Josie and Noah.
If you want to read relaxing romances without too much conflict, then this series is for you. As is the author's signature style, there are three epilogues rounding up the story nicely, with one five years down the lane.
P.S. I look forward to reading the next series by Julie Capulet. Its star protagonists have already been introduced in this book. The Music City Lovers Series will have the stories of three brothers who have formed a country-rock band and go by the name of Tucker Brothers (Travis, Vaughn, and Kade).

This is the third book in the McCabe Brothers series, but it can be read completely as a standalone. It is written in first person from a dual POV.
Gage is rich, successful, and handsome in a way that is gifted from heaven. And he knows it. He uses all the advantages at his disposal, and he always gets what he wants. That is, until he meets Luna. He is completely baffled when she does not immediately fall at his feet like other women. He really has a hard time understanding how she can resist his charm and all he has to offer when he is inexplicable drawn to her in a way he has never felt before. I love it when a character like Gage falls fast and hard. They never know what hit them. His feelings are described so perfectly, there are times it almost feels poetic. Gage is also an excellent dirty talker. At first, the reader gets that through a lot of his thought, but eventually we get to read as his dirty mouth undoes Luna completely. I loved it.
Luna has some baggage to work through. I loved reading as her character heals and moves forward from painful memories in her past. I love how Gage opens up to her, allowing her to share her pain with him as well. There is a bit of a slow burn between the two characters as it takes a little while for Gage’s thoughts to become a reality after he finally convinces Luna to give him a shot.
I enjoyed the emotions, the heat, and the romance in this book. I was told by other readers that Gage would capture my attention, and that he did. He is special hero with a hard shell and a soft gooey center.
