This novella is the beginning to Scarlett’s story! She and Axel have been childhood best friends, and I need them together this instant. We met Scarlett’s parents in another series so reading them with a teenager is kind of amazing 😏
I cannot wait for the full book/series to be made; it’s going to be amazing. Dare I say my favorite of Ivy’s even?! 🤭

I first read this in Hot Summer School Nights as part of a collaboration of stories. I’m loving the continuation of the next generation of the Hunted Series. I do wish for the entire book of Scarlett’s journey but I feel like the other series’s need to wrap up first.
This is a chapter of Scarlett’s story so there is still a lot to tell. But the chapter we did receive was funny and engaging. Looking forward to seeing more of Scarlett & Axel.

Scarlett Hunter, seventeen, is beginning her senior year at Empire High and hoping to make some changes. With her new contacts, makeup, and some slight skimping on the dress code, she hopes to leave her frumpy look behind. It is hard with an overprotective father, though. James Hunter is all about control. Her younger brother Liam is fourteen and just beginning his freshman year. Already there seems to be a different standard for Liam because he is a boy. But with her mother’s support, she hopes to pull off her plan.
Her cousin Sophie is a natural flirt and has volunteered to help Scarlett with Operation Too Hot To Handle. Axel Stevens is her good friend and long-time crush, but he always has eyes for other girls. It just so happens that he recently became single and available, a rarity. With Sophie’s guidance, some effort, and good luck, the makeover will hopefully take Scarlett out of the friend zone and firmly into the girlfriend zone. But the first day of school is full of surprises, and suddenly her senior year looks complicated.
Scarlett is the first of the second generation of Empire High students to get a story. Fan favorites James and Penny Hunter’s daughter has her sights set on Tyler Stevens’ son. Raised practically like cousins, the idea of them dating is almost incestuous, which makes it forbidden. The story is nicely written. The plot is fairly simple. There is a lot of drama already, and it is only the first day of school. Sophie, Rob’s daughter, is colorful just like her father. She livens the story. Little brothers RJ and Liam are easy-going and fun. The story is told in first person in Scarlett’s POV. I rate this story 4.5 stars.

WOW! This novella is soooo funny! I couldn’t stop laughing! I seriously lovedddddd Scarlett! There is a surprise in there for the kids that you don’t totally see coming that is just hilarious. Scarlett is the daughter of James and Penny Hunter from The Hunted series, and she is a spit fire! I absolutely loved reading about Scarlett, Axel, Sophie, and RJ! Sophie is a mini replica of Rob and that’s everything you think it means lol! Scarlett is the sweetest thing ever, with a splash of bad girl and reminds me so much of a young Penny. Sophie isn’t afraid of anything (I want to be like her when i grow up)! Daddy James is as overprotectively hot as you would imagine and Scarlett is sure he’s out to ruin her life!! Empire High wouldn’t be complete without a mean girl, so in come Gigi the head mean b**ch. I cannot wait to read more about Scarlett in her full story (whenever that happens) and more about all the kids!! There’s a new generation here to rule the school and the world!

SO SO GOOD! This is beginning of Scarlett's story and I cannot wait to read more about Scar and the rest of the squad. I LOVE how protective James is of his daughter, it is so cute.. I also love how unique and different Scar is. This book excites me for so many reasons because I can see an amazing chemistry between Scar and Axel and we all knew that they've had a thing for each other since they were born. Axel cares a lot about Sophie and is super sweet and protective over her. Sophie is just like her father, she is so freaking funny and just like her father and she is a great best friend to Scar. Also, I know Brooklyn and Matt are soulmates so I was not surprised about Jacob being in this book and I am so happy about that! I hope that Brooklyn gets 4 boys like she always wanted with Matt and a girl too since that is what Miller wanted. I can't wait for the full book/series to be made because Ivy is my favorite author so I KNOW this will an AMAZING series! I can't wait!!

I loved this novella and cannot wait for more. It was awesome to see James and Penny as parents of teenagers. I want more. I hope Ivy never stops writing about her characters from the hunted series. She has a way of making her characters feel real to the reader. I would die if I never got to read about james, penny, matt, or brooklyn again. It was great to read about Scarlett, Axel, and Sophie as teenagers. Ivy teased us with the character Jacob and left us wondering who his parents were. I loved seeing James as an overprotective dad of a teenage girl, it was hilarious.

Ah! High school girls antics, but a thousand times better 😁🥰
There is absolutely nothing I didn't like about this short book. Ivy Smoak is super when it comes to understanding her characters' personalities and development. I can read her books over and over and gain new insights. Do you need a laugh? She gives it. Do you need angst? She's gives it. You have to read this short book. The best is yet to come.

This novella is great like Ivy's other books. It is awesome to read Scarlett as a 17 year old. She is a great character and I can't wait to read more about her senior year of high school. Scarlett is James and Penny's daughter. Love that Scarlett and Sophie are best friends and Sophie is just like her dad, Rob. Too funny!! And you can't forget Tyler's son Axel. So excited for the next generation. This was a great short and her full series can't come quick enough! Highly recommend!!!

This was a great sneak peek into the next generation of the Empire High crew. It follows James and Penny Hunter's daughter, Scarlett. Going into her senior year at Empire High with her best friend and cousin Sophie (Rob Hunter's daughter), friend and crush Axel and Jacob. Little brothers RJ and Liam make an appearance as well. There is now a series started with these characters called Scarlett and the Kiss Thief and it is ongoing.

Absolutely loved getting a taste of Scarlet, Sophie and Axel as they’re growing up! Their personalities reflect their parents and it’s endearing! And It all goes back to Empire High. Also, who can’t get enough of James!? I can’t wait for more of this story and to see how the Hunter/Stevens kids grow!

I read this in Hot Summer School Nights charity anthology and it was brilliant. The only downside being it wasn't long enough lol. I love how we are now seeing an older Scarlett and seeing James from a dad's point of view now. The relationship with her and Axel is funny and I can't wait to see where that goes. This book is a must read, especially if your a huge James and Penny fan.

I was so excited to dive back into this world. It didn’t disappoint. The new generation of untouchables are angsty, dramatic and funny. It was frustratingly short and I need more of these characters and their obvious secrets. I can’t wait to read more in this world and to see how the sexy, Professor Hunter deals with a strong-willed teenager. Poor Scarlett!

Hate the cliff hangers
I loved reading all the series problem is I’m tired of the cliff hangers and waiting months for the next book, by that time I have to reference back to try to remember what I’ve read in the previous book. I’ve read a lot of other author’s series and wasn’t left hanging to see what happened next. I think I’ll just move to a different author.

OMG!!!! I got the ARC of the Scarlett's Story as a part of The Romance Anthologies "HOT SUMMER SCHOOL NIGHTS" and Omg Ivy smoke you did it again!! I was so excited reading adult\teenager Scarlett Hunter. I loved this story SO MUCH. I'm so excited for this novella and I know you'll love it too.

Omg Amazing
I can not wait to hear more of Scarlett’s story. She reminds me so much of Penny. It’s going to be a funny and great year at her school. I can see James budding in Scarlett’s live life a lot and poor thing will no longer be able to sneak her clothes lol.
