*This book is not for the fainthearted. This deep romance explores the dark theme of stalking.
Kelly Finley is an author of contemporary romances featuring bada** women and grown-a** men.
She lives in the Carolinas with her husband and family. A rebel with many causes, she fancies black leather, dirty jokes, and smart mouths.
Thrilled by a flipped script, she gives us steamy, sexy heroines who are often missing, particularly from suspense and military romance. Her books feature heat we almost can't handle & shameless characters we champion and love.
She's most likely at her keyboard right now, putting the next heroine on the page.
My goodness me! What a fast paced, intense and emotional read! The fat lady was definitely singing at the top of her voice by the end of the book! The conclusion of Charlie and Daniel's story couldn't really be called, the end, as we finished with the promise of a life ahead for this brilliant couple and a tease for more adventures. Charlie and Daniel share love, passion and commitment to the nth degree and that is underlined in the first few chapters of the book when Daniel's fears and sense of loss, are so profound. This has been a fantastic series which has introduced me to a new, to me, author, one whose books I will be seeking out in the future. Fabulous! 💖💖💖💖💖
Daniel's secret is out, will Charlie stay with him? Will Charlie live through her past coming for her?
Chase Her is an amazing, fitting conclusion to Charlie and Daniel's journey. It answers all the questions that have come up over the course of the series in suspenseful, intense style. Their relationship has evolved, growing and strengthening into a rock solid, beautiful union. Secondary characters are introduced, and oh boy am I waiting for Cade's story now. I absolutely loved this story - it's intriguing, suspenseful and so sexy. Charlie is one of my favorite heroines, ever, for her fierceness, her strength, and her fearlessness. She is paired with the perfect man for her, equal to her in strength, who was brought to his knees by love for his badass protector. Protector of women. Protector of those she loves. I am going to miss this couple, but I know there will be more to come, thankfully.
Hi readers, I'm so happy, so blown away by the amazing response CHASE HER is getting on the first couple of days after release! Thank you. This heroine and her story has filled my heart and imagination for two years while I put it all on the pages. I'm so thankful for your reads and reviews along the way. I LOVE to read each of them, hearing what thrilled you and what touched you about this series. And yes... there is more to come. Charlie has inspired a world of bada** women like her. They love. They fight. They protect. They make us proud. They will be in your hearts and your pages/screens soon. Stay tuned. Until then, thank you for reading Chase Her and the Come for Me Series. I hope it left you breathless and smiling. Hugs and high fives, Kelly
Wonderful wrap-up of a brilliant prequel and three-part story – This one hooked me and kept my interest from beginning to end!
What I liked: * Charlie: independent, strong, lethal, marksman, ex-Marine, protector of women, has an intriguing backstory presented in previous books, loves deeply, communicates honestly and openly, loves deeply, suffered much, great mother, perfect with and for Daniel * Daniel: movie star, wealthy, handsome, strong, loves his family, has secrets, loves Charlie and his children, charming, giving, protective, jealous, has a checkered backstory, grounded by being with Charlie, perfect with and for Charlie * That Charlie and Daniel are equally matched…though different * That the woman is the protector with all of the skills necessary to think, act, and do what is needed * The team spirit and strength Charlie has with her coleagues * Charlie’s support system * The deep and abiding love Charlie and Daniel have – even when tested, it endures * That we finally find out what Daniel’s secret is * Charlie being able to find out who was trying to blackmail her newest client, Riley * Seeing or hearing about some of the previous characters that have played parts in books read already * That the conclusion seems to leave Charlie and Daniel safer than they have been at the end of previous books * The writing, plot, and intensity of the story * The secondary characters…all played a part and wormed their way into my heart – hope to see more of them in the future * The steamy bits * That I felt I was there in the book with the characters * That the bad guys were dealt with * The link to the new series that will be an off-shoot from this one – hope we get to see how Charlie and Daniel are doing as other books are printed * All of it really except…
What I didn’t like: * Exactly who and what I was meant not to like * Knowing that stalkers, killers, terrorists, and others exist in real life and are as horrible as some characters in this book
Did I enjoy this book? Yes Would I read more by this author? Definitely
Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.
I am a sucker for a strong heroine. I love my female leads to be dominant and own their strength, desire and take an active role in their love story. Charlie is the absolute boss of heroines. I cannot describe how brilliantly she is written. Charlie is so incredibly strong physically and mentally and she grows across the three books to own her identity so wholly. Her career role is never in doubt but she flourishes in her new identity as Daniel's wife and as a mother. This final book is really Charlie grappling with her priorities and how to bring all the parts of herself together.
The conclusion to the trilogy is a thrilling and tense ending to the story. Secrets are revealed (oh how my heart ached), forgiveness is earned, trust is freely given, and strength grows across every page. Charlie and Daniel haven't had an easy ride. But their love for one another is never in doubt. Their relationship is so real in that things are said in fear and anger, hearts are bruised, and together they face family realities that are challenging. But at no point do you doubt that these two are two parts of the same whole. Their bond is one of completeness and together they burn up the pages. Finley definitely covers some new heat levels with this one. These two are HOT. But every physical scene between them is designed to bond them and make them truly equals. There are no boundaries for these two. I think every woman deserves a Daniel Piece in their life.
An absolutely thrilling, exciting, heated and perfect conclusion to the Come for Me series. Charlie will live on with me as one of the most complex and engaging female leads I have read in a very long while.
Hang onto your seats for this one. Chase Her is a fantastic read. I could not put this one down. I loved everything Kelly Finley brought to the pages for Charlie and Daniel. Yes, you must read in series order for this is book 3. But it makes for a fabulous binge read that you will not want to miss out one. We were left in cliffy at the end of book 2 that had me holding my breath. The emotions run high with this one as you are left wondering what the heck is going on between Charlie and Daniel. The love is so strong, and the feels are something you are just going to just love the roller coaster ride your heart will go on. Charlie does what she does best when it comes to protection and you feel the love for Daniel all the way through. Lots of hard decisions, secrets come out and time make you wonder can Daniel and Charlie survive everything that is thrown at them. You get all your answers and more when it comes down to who is after Daniel and Charlie and how to protect the family. Daniel will own your heart even more then ever before with this one. I fell in love with the Come for Me series in book one and now with Chase Her I am in even more in love with this one. I could not get enough of Daniel and Charlie. This is an amazing series that just sucks you in from the very start. I cannot wait for more books to come by Kelly Finely. If you haven't had a chance to read her words then do so now. Go one click this one and the rest of the series now. Sit back and enjoy the ride that is Charlie and Daniel's hot, action packed love story.
What’s more important, the thing that defines who you are or the person who loves who you are? In Chase Her, the thrilling conclusion to Kelly Finley’s Come For Me trilogy, Charlie Ravenal has to answer that question.
After a tragic event almost costs them everything, Charlie and her movie star husband Daniel Pierce have settled into a routine that includes family, friends, beach, romance, and love when figurative bombs begin to drop. The huge secret Daniel’s been hiding comes to light, driving a wedge between him and Charlie. When Charlie agrees to take on a job protecting a young actress who’s being blackmailed, Daniel is angry that Charlie has once again decided to put her life in danger for her job. Even though that job is who Charlie is. Add to this another threat that’s been lingering, and Charlie and Daniel must work together to try and save their lives, their family, and their marriage. If that’s even possible.
Chase Her is the culmination of everything we’ve been waiting for in this trilogy. Family is forged, demons are face, and much hot sex is had!!! Charlie and Daniel seem like real people to me because of the life Finley has breathed into them. The other characters add humor, flavor, and warmth. I especially love the settings of Daufuskie Island and Savannah which give the books a distinctive flair. Chase Her doesn’t let up until the last word - you’ll be holding your breath till the end.
You’ll want to read Pierce Her and Hunt Her before Chase Her - it’s so worth it! Let me know when you’ve finished - I’d love to discuss! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Well, I’ve had the honor to read this series with an early copy and I have to admit, this book was my favorite of the three. I don’t know if it has to do with the fact I feel like I k know these characters so well or the fact that Kelly took us on a ride from the moment this book started.
We don’t get immediate clear answers about what happens to Charlie after that cliffhanger in book 2, but the way Finley put this story together, she had a vision and I was all for it. The jumping from past to present really made the story more suspenseful. And after each deep breath I could take, another thrill was waiting around the corner.
This story is all about a strong female heroine and true love. It’s about building family and finding stability while having a hard time standing on a stable foundation. And it is about compromising for the sake of a relationship but not giving up on who you are at your core.
Oh and the steam is off the charts! If you’re hoping this book continues with the hotness book 2 brought our way, it won’t disappoint. 🥵
💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼/5 🔥🔥🔥🔥/5
Loved this story so much and I look forward to what’s to come from Kelly in the future.
ARC provided for an honest review. Thank you Kelly for sending this my way!
The stunning conclusion to the trilogy of the year! This really is romantic suspense at its best. I know these are books I will reread many times. Charlie and Daniel go through even more in this book. We get all the answers. Daniel's secret was what I had guessed. The ripple effects it causes make for great reading. My only complaint is I think he gets off way too easily over a couple things that happen. I can't say more without spoiling things but Charlie deserved better from him. There is so much that happens in this book it's hard to review without spoiling. So I will say readers won't be disappointed. There's action, suspense, tension, angst, sexy romance, betrayal, great complex characters, and a brilliant ending. As a bonus we meet some new characters who will be getting their own stories. I'm so excited for Redix and Cade's story. Kelly Finley has that unique ability as an author to create characters you become completely invested in. She also writes characters you love to hate. This story was an emotional rollercoaster and I felt them all. Well done!
We finally got to know what Daniel had been hiding from Charlie since book one; and although I guessed it, there was a lot more drama that went along with it. I’ll keep saying it, Charlie is a badass! She proves it over and over again. Not only with the way she protects innocent women but the way the loves so fiercely. The confidence in herself as a woman. Daniel was a tad irritating in this book with his feelings. But what can you expect of a man, especially one who has a woman like Charlie at his side. I didn’t like how the “now” chapters repeated the last paragraph of the previous “now” chapter as if the readers would forget what we had already read. Overall a spicy, sexy, suspenseful book with lots of love and hope for life and all the things one can dream of it becoming. Excited to read the next intertwined series with Cade and Redix! Getting a little sneak peak of both of them after reading Holiday For Six was exciting. And of course Silas!
What an amazing ending for this series. I am truly amazed. I feel like if you’ve never been loved like Daniel and Charlie love each other, you’ve never known love at all. The story telling is absolutely incredible, the plot twists, the characters and their growth, the freaking spice, there’s not a thing I hated here. Even with my least favorite trope dropping by I still fully enjoyed this series. I want to read them again and again and I want the whole world to read them and to tell me I was right.
This book is one wild ride. The cliffhanger at the end of Hunt Her isn’t resolved on the first page as I expected and the action fluctuates between now and then, which is months later. Daniel’s secret is finally revealed, as is Charlie’s fate and the action never stops. This book had me on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t put it down. Charlie is even more of a badass than ever and I didn’t think Daniel could get better but daddy Daniel is beyond. I love these characters and the way they connect. They’re perfect together. They’ve been through so much and they’re so good for each other but life keeps getting in the way, whether that’s work or bad guys or a bitter, conniving ex. This series was so much fun to read, I love everything about it.
The suspense in this book almost killed me, but I loved it! Fast paced and thrilling, yet packed with steam. The love between Charlie and Daniel is just as amazing as always, and their passion as all consuming. Steam was incredible, and the fast paced writing had me hooked from start to finish. Charlie has been cemented as one of my favorite badass female MC’s. Loved this! *I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I was never supposed to fall in love with him—Daniel Pierce. He's Hollywood's hottest man alive, an alpha British celebrity with obsessed fans, but he only wants me. And I'm a bodyguard, the woman who fell for him... and all the danger that comes with his A-list life. He convinced me to follow my heart, that our love was worth the risk. Was it? This was a very intriguing read by a new author. And am voluntarily leaving my review.
I so love Charlie and can’t get enough of her. She takes life by the balls and doesn’t let go. I love that she stays true to herself and that she inspires others too. Can’t wait for more to come.
Wow! What a ride it has been! In Chase Her, book three in Kelly Finley's Come For Me series, we dive off that book two cliffhanger, straight into an abyss of tension and uncertainty. The bulk of the story is told as a series of flashbacks from now to points in the recent past, the storyline edging ever closer to the Bad Thing that is going on in the present. Charlie is back doing what she loves, and what she is called to do - protecting a young woman from harm. I don't want to reveal too much of the plot, because you deserve to experience the unspooling of this narrative with no spoilers.
I can tell you that the tension never lets up in this one. Finley has the suspense part of romantic suspense down pat. I was on the edge of my seat, barrelling through the book to find out the secrets that it held. And, ummmmmm, do you like spice with your books? Because OMG. I thought the previous books in this series brought the heat, but it has been kicked up a few notches in this one. I'd like to blame those hot flashes I was having on menopause, but DAMN.
Recently I've read a lot of books that were written during the pandemic, but most don't make any reference to it, and if they do, it's just a passing comment. But Finley gives us the reality of our world in these pages. There is masking and social distancing and testing, and all are integral parts of the plot. I loved that real-life situations like these were woven beautifully into the fabric of this fictional story.
I cannot recommend this series highly enough. If you are looking for a tough-as-nails heroine who embodies the strength of women the world over, and you'd like a side of devastatingly hot male, a hefty sprinkling of secrets, lies, mystery, and danger, topped by off-the-charts heat, then Finley's Come For Me series is definitely something you need to check out.
Thank you to the author for providing a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This series goes out with a fast paced, heart racing bang. This book is such a great conclusion to this series. All the action and twists and turns leave you wanting more.
In the conclusion (for now) of the Come for Me series, Charlie and Daniel have settled into their lives as parents after the shocking event at the premier. Charlie eventually gets the opportunity to protect another girl on the set of a TV show and takes it. With threats still on the horizon, will their relationship (and their lives) survive to the end?

What I loved: The action was incredible.
The writing got a bit better. Even with the POV change, the beats and the pacing was on point.
The additional characters, returning characters, and more badass feminism and LGBTQ love.
The real ups and downs of Charlie and Daniels relationship. A lot happens in this book and their relationship goes through a lot of changes, good and bad.
The HEA. Charlie finally felt safe and loved and could finally move on and heal.
What I didn't like: The sudden switch to 3rd person really threw me for a loop. The first 2 books are in 1st person so it took me a little while to make the adjustments.
The addition of COVID. I read to escape reality. Putting reality into the story makes it too real.
The end/conclusion left me a little confused and with more questions. Specifically, what happened to Mason? Was he put in jail? Did he have any connections to anything that happened at the end or did he and his white flag group just get bored of Charlie and Daniel? I felt like that was a pretty big plot hole seeing as the majority of the 3 books were centered around him being the big bad.
The double major events. I'm not going to spoil anything, but there was just too much happening in this book. I never knew where to focus.
Daniel kind of pussied out in this book. He became jealous, egotistical again, and really selfish. We kind of saw it start to happen in the last book, but it escalated in this one. He got better in the end, but it was really annoying.
----
Overall, not the best series. If you're looking for extreme smut with a side of plot, this isn't it. The plot overrides most of the spice, which isn't a bad thing, but the spice itself was a little weak. The plot however is pretty fantastic. I would have loved this series with less attempted spice to muddy the plot.
A fantastic finale to what has been an epic debut romantic suspense series from Kelly Finley. The Come For Me trilogy has been a roller coaster of a read from the first page. The underlying storyline of a hidden threat to the heroine, former marine captain and wife of Hollywood heart-throb Daniel Pierce, Charlotte Ravenel has escalated over the two previous books but the suspense and tension is ramped up to a new level in Chase Her before reaching a nail biting conclusion. From an opening chapter set in current time that I will admit shocked me and had me fearing the worst especially after the cliff hanger in book two, the story then jumps back several months showing how things had reached this point. I will admit I found this slightly confusing to start with but then suddenly I started to see the story the author was building. Charlie’s life had changed so much over the course of a year. She’d gone from being an independent woman with few ties to a devoted wife and mother sacrificing her privacy for love but life in the goldfish bowl had ultimately put her family at risk. All which added to her stress levels as Daniel’s deep, dark secret was revealed. But together this couple have a fantastic relationship with lots of steam and the strength to fight off any challenges.
This will probably be one of my favourite trilogies of 2022 and I’m so glad to have discovered this awesome new author. I really can’t wait to read what she comes up with next. The teaser she gives us at the end of Chase Her has left me desperate for more.
This book was a really good ride. I loved how Charlie and Daniel grew in this book. The secrets revealed were shocking, however, my only pet peeve was that they should have discussed this before they got together. Minus that, the communication and the balance they have together is amazing.
The action in this book is great. I loved that the characters actually struggle. Charlie goes through a lot and actually does suffer from trauma. Her growth is real and love doesn't magically heal all the wounds. Daniel also grew on me. His patience and his stress is really valid. How both of them lean on each other is really nice. And, that stalker with the mystery revealed is awesome.
The steamy scenes in this book is hot with a capital H. What I loved is the communication. This book does contain light BDSM, but the consent is there. I loved the healthy dynamic and how awesome the characters are together.
In summary, go pick up this book. The only small reason I docked down a star was because of some miscommunications that really affected the plot. Despite this, go binge read this trilogy.
WOW!!! Charlie Girl you took me on a ride with this story - I loved this book from the first page.
Charlie & Daniel and beyond HOT!!!! An these two are beyond the perfect match.
My emotions were all over the place reading the final book in this three part series. Daniel finally admits the secret that he’s been keeping from Charlie, even with what he thinks is the worse that could come from the truth there honesty an love still shows.
Charlie protects another girl on this story and the guard goes up instantly to make sure she stay safe, showing that moms can still be as bad as any single girl.
The final few chapters in the story are action packed and just when you think you can breath a past threat shows finally and Charlie has to come to terms with it and finally put this ghost to rest.
I loved this suspense filled romance and it takes you on an up an down filled story, with Love - Romance - a badass Heroine that you will want as your best friend.
Chase Her starts with the reveal of Daniel’s secret. I have to be honest, I got all caught up on it and Charlie’s reaction to it. I actually found myself talking to a book and saying, why are you so mad about that, simply because of who I am and how I would react. It was a perfect time to remember not everyone reacts to something the same way. Even writing this review, I still hear an argument in my head over that situation. Then it hit me, dangit Kelly wrote an excellent scene if I’m still having this kind of reaction to it. Past that situation we have ALL the steam! This book would be rated off the charts with the steam. There’s also a ton of suspense. Charlie and Daniel couldn’t catch a break with the amount of stuff that was thrown their way. But in the end their relationship is absolutely beautiful and everything that’s right. This book was excellent, you’ll definitely want to read the entire series before this one though. Which you should absolutely do!
One thing you should know about the author of this series - she’s absolutely amazing at building tension… except that this tension later leads to a very anticlimactic ending.
This book jumps timelines, starting with now and then goes back through the events of the last couple months that led to the current situation. A situation presented as uber dramatic, life and death, the end of it all.
Turns out the big issue was just a little evening argument, resolved with a sweet note and a text the very next morning. Seriously?
Also, THE BIG SECRET of Daniel’s wasn’t nearly as horrendous as he made it to be and the worst thing about ot was hiding it from her all this time. Sigh.
I’m really glad this story is over and I’m super proud of myself I actually finished it, so I can move on to the next events, knowing the backstory of how it all begun with those… friendships.
This one conflicted me at times unlike the others, but by the final page I was a content reader, hence I have given the rating I have. Back and forth between timelines always gets to me as I'm a suspense junkie needing to know what is happening right that moment, but I do understand why the book was done like this. I can't really say much more about the characters or plot as yet again so much happens in a decent sized book that commenting on them will give major spoilers. You'll get to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones, but are all in one piece from the get go and by the end? I was stoked to see that the author wasn't afraid to tackle more than one controversial topic in the book and doing it with class. This definitely made the story more relatable and 'current'.
What a way to wrap up the series! Charlie has been such a badass from the start, and I love how strong and determined she is. The way she just trusts her instincts and follows through? Total respect. Plus, the way she owns her sexuality? Chef’s kiss. Her and Daniel’s love was everything. Yeah, Daniel could be a bit much with the whole celebrity thing sometimes, but their connection made it all worth it. They kept saying it was cosmic and binding, and honestly, that’s exactly how it felt. The way their relationship is so balanced and equal? Serious goals. This series wasn’t just about the spice (though, not gonna lie, it was HOT! HOT! HOT!), but it also had a solid plot, great characters, and a storyline I could actually get invested in. Definitely more than just a guilty pleasure read!
Well you have done it again. Taken us on a wild ride with Charlie and Daniel. It was full of their classic sassy banter and some Charlie-isms. Most importantly we get to meet the 2 most important people in their lives those adorable little babies. They are just the sweetest and just like their parents lol. I love that we got to see the time passing back and forth for each of them, it was helpful to see each side. More importantly all the secrets are out of the box now! I can’t wait to see what the next book holds. Thank you for bringing these two (and their family) into our lives.
Chase Her by Kelly Finley is book Three in the Come for Me series. This continues the story of Charlie Ravenel and Daniel Pierce that started in the following books: Pierce Her, Hunt Her and Protect Her is a Prequel to this series. Charlie is showing her strength through this who series. This book brings Daniel secrets out to the front. This has been such a good Trilogy and I hope to read more from this author.
Best book of the series for sure. So much mystery and unknowns in Charlie and Daniels lives. From sabotage to jealousy, their relationship was pushed to the ultimate edge.
There was always a sense of not knowing what was hidden around the corner for them and what danger was lurking waiting to pounce.
