A satisfying conclusion to this fantastic trilogy!! The events pick up right where the second book ends, resuming events in line with Revelation 13. The perspective of the antichrist is much more prevalent in this installment, as is the utter depravity of the world. It was unsettling to read at times, but also seemingly very accurate based on the progression of the world.

The best part was seeing the believers continue to grow in their faith from their salvation in the first book and to be ever obedient to God in the face of the tribulation. God's provision was on full display for His people.

I do wish this was a four book series, as the pacing in this one was a bit rushed. I would have liked to see more of the Final Battle play out and see God be victorious for more than a few pages. That being said, this series was a page turner and so rooted in Scripture. I've read a good amount of End Times fiction, with this series feeling the most modern and realistic of what I've read so far!

The end times revealed in this book. Look up as the time is drawing near. So thankful I won't be here to go through the tribulation period. I enjoyed her interpretation of Revelation.

Three books about spiritual warfare “coincidentally” crossed my reading path within a short period, thanks to book-release schedules, friend recommendations and library hold-request fulfillment. These are “Spiritual Warfare in the End Times” by Ron Rhodes, “Return of the Gods” by Jonathan Cahn, and “Daniel’s Final Week” by Donna VanLiere.

With a smile, I note the connections between these three authors and the characters in my own end times novel “Twilight of the Church Age,” who lead the effort to produce a resource to help those who will be left behind after the rapture. Pastors and authors and Messianic Rabbis, oh my!

I recommend all three books for your reading. These will help you better understand the enemies we face in this battle, how you may be attacked and how to resist them (key tactics- stay close to Jesus and be faithful in Bible reading and prayer). All three books cover all these subjects, with different levels of emphasis in different aspects. Here’s my summary of their levels of emphasis (1 highest, 3 least) with some close calls required :

Book Past Warfare In Our Present In the Future
Spiritual Warfare in the End Times 3 1 2
Daniel’s Final Week 3 2 1
The Return of the Gods 1 2 3

I would recommend “Spiritual Warfare in the End Times” as the one to read first. It would be helpful when you read the other two books.

“Daniel’s Final Week” by NY Times bestselling author Donna VanLiere (2022) is the final novel in a trilogy that dramatizes the future rapture and tribulation, using fiction to demonstrate the prophecies of the Bible. If you’ve already read the first two novels in that series, you’ll probably want to read this one after the Rhodes book, so you can see “how the story ends.” The book is a two-fer. The first 222 pages are the novel and the last 52 pages are called “Where in the Word,” where the author explains the Bible passages that underly the novel and provides encouragement for believers.

The three novels in the VanLiere series describe the horrors of the tribulation, so they fictionally depict horrific events. Because this novel covers the last part of the tribulation, demonic forces are very prominent. I think both parts of the book are well-done and the novel shows that you would not want to be left behind after the rapture.

God will win the war. Jesus will completely vanquish these pagan “gods” and those who follow them. Unfortunately, most of the people living on earth in the future period choose the wrong side in the war (as do most in the present and past eras). They are burdened by sin, tempted by the world system, and tricked or coerced by these evil spirits to join the forces of Satan. I encourage you to read these books to understand this battle and so you will enlist on the winning side with Jesus as your Savior, King and Commander-in-Chief.

This was the best out of the three! The author adds in consequences of the judgments that I had never considered before but are very plausible. Definitely keeps your perspective on life at a good place knowing our King is coming soon!

The conclusion to Donna VanLiere's trilogy based on the Book of Revelation and the endtimes. This series was outstanding, very Biblically-based and, while none of us really understand the schedule of events and how they will unfold, very close to what has been taught for generations by Bible scholars. This final book is chilling, violent and catastrophic for those "left behind" to experience "the time of Jacob's trouble". However, the books ends in a perfect way -- so hopeful for the characters who have struggled during this terrible time. In addition, the author concludes the book with chapters dedicated to where in the Bible various events detailed in the novel can be found. All in all a magnificent series for anyone desiring to get just a glimpse into endtimes prophecy. Well done!

In the conclusion of Donna VanLiere's trilogy about the end times, action reaches a fever pitch. The antichrist is in control and mandates all must accept his mark to buy, sell, purchase medicines, see a doctor, or fulfill any basic need. Those who won't swear allegiance by accepting the mark are put to death. He has also sworn to rid the world of all Christians and Jews and sets on a path of brutal extermination. Fallen angels and demons are released on the world, but God continues to work wonders in the heavens, prompting all to "look up," while giving the undecided numerous chances to plead his name and salvation.

Action moves from Emma and her group, fighting for survival in the States, to Zerah and Elliott in Israel, and the antichrist and his cabinet in Rome (now Victor City). The plagues God sends are delivered in vivd and chilling descriptions, but just as vivid are His phenomenal wonders in the sky. Not everyone survives until the end, but oh--when the ending came--I was cheering inside. I am so glad I spent these three novels with Ms. VanLiere and highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys apocalyptic fiction and Christian fiction of the end times.

As in the previous books, the first 200-pages or so, are devoted to a fictional account while the back of the book features a section called “Where in the Word” that provides scriptural support (and explanations) for the events happening in the story. Every so many chapters there is a pause where the reader can flip to the back for Biblical reference supporting the events in the preceding chapters---or just continue reading the story. I found the scriptural explanations of immense teaching valuable and looked forward to studying each section as the story unfolded.

What a moving fictional rendition of Daniel's last week! It was riveting in the way the narrator (The author, Donna VanLiere) unfolded the story. Once I started this audiobook, I didn't want to turn it off! The characters portrayal of end times events was perfect!
Let Victor Quade, antichrist, come alive to you as you hear him live out his evilness in his many attempts to destroy all of the "Jewish pigs" from his earth. Hear him rant, "You and all the Jewish pigs clamoring around me are dead! You will see who has the real power!" Listen to Zerah Adler, one of the 144,000 elect, tell all of the Jews to flee and get out of Israel! Hear him tell Victor that his time is short.
If you are an avid Christian fiction reader, then you will love this book. I will continue to follow this author.
Loved the WiTW part, too!

I received this audiobook for free in return for posting a review.

This third installment in an End Times trilogy assigns “characters” to the diabolical unholy trinity during the final years of Tribulation on the earth.
The author does an excellent job of giving distinct personalities to the beast, the Antichrist, and the false prophet. After reading this fictional account, I have a clearer understanding of each of their roles in the final times. I appreciate how the author provided Scripture references as the basis of her story and character development.
As a believer, do you have a preconceived characterization of the beast? Do you anticipate his being grotesque? What about the Antichrist? How do you picture him? Is he the ultimate dictator? The false prophet…the ultimate groupie?

Stunningly intense conclusion to this series.
First book really focussed on the chaos of the world being thrown into disaster.
Second book focussed on preaching and teaching in the middle ground.
Third book focussed on satan’s version of a kingdom on earth while Gods followers try to survive until Jesus’ return.
This one was by far the most spiritually intense, but we did get a lot of close up POV with the antichrist character and the enemy’s kingdom with almost no restraint, so to be expected.
Your soul weeps for the lost, and fury burns for the deceiver.
I thought this was pretty well handled overall as a series, and the “where in the word” section was great as always to see where the information is backed up in the Bible.

I have enjoyed read this series. Just finished Daniel's Final Week. As most believers, we are looking forward to Christ's return and cannot wait to see His Glory coming down from heaven. This was a very informative series. There were a few things I did not agree with, but that is to be expected. I like to read end times books to see how different people think the tribulation period will play out. All I know for sure is it will be hard for anyone who is a believer. And, most of all, God Wins. I would recommend this book to anyone.

I really enjoyed this finale book. To see the book of revelation come to life in this series and how it played out was amazing.

Daniels final week is the last three years of revelation. You follow your same characters from the previous books while they struggle to survive without have taken the mark. They can’t buy groceries or medicine. They are forced to hide and pray until Jesus returns. They watch in hiding as the world burns.

Overall this was a fantastic book, with good writing. I will be looking for more series like this in the future.

Very much enjoyed this series. It was very different and more “up do date” than the Left Behind series, of which I’d read twice. I feel like this series might be a little more accurate to what the Tribulation will be like. Well written, the author is incredibly descriptive. You can visualize many of the scenes as they’re unfolding. Even though the end is totally predictable, I still got super excited reading the last few chapters in anticipation of Who was coming!

I haven't read a book like this before!
Christian fiction is a genre I have barely touched before now.

It was a good read.

I found it particularly intense and quite action-packed.

It also had an excellent message and ended with some great Biblical descriptions and definitions.

Would recommend!

This book is fiction based on Bible prophecy of the end times. The entire series is great, and the author has a section talking about where different events fit in to the book of Revelation. She did address the presence of children during the tribulation. I am not sure I agree with everything she said, but it was food for thought.

I am willing to overlook any writing “defects” (underdeveloped characters, logistical and timing issues ? in the thin plot) for the importance of this true prophecy. Especially helpful is the large portion of explained Scriptural at the back of each of these three books. (Each is different.)
Highly recommend.

I loved all the books in this series but this last books ending was a total let down. It ended so abruptly. All the books were the scary, horrific tribulations & I was most excited for the last book when Christ comes again. But then there was no glorious description of that. The book simply stated he came again & then it ended. It really made me sad.

Even though I didn’t find this series as easy to read as the Left Behind books (which I only read a few years ago and loved!)- I am still really glad I read it! For anyone who isn’t sure about prophecy, this series is a good place to get some information. The notes in the back are great also. This book left me longing for the Lord’s return- come Lord Jesus come!!

I listened to Daniel's Final Week by Donna VanLiere through Net Galley for an honest review. I really did not like this. Content and narration. Maybe because it was the end of the series, which I didn't know going in..

Well written series. Donna points you to scripture at the end of her book so that you can investigate on your own what the end times. Yes this is her interpretation, but it gives it a real feel, and with the events happening today, should encourage us to share the name of Jesus immediately.

Concluding book of trilogy. Not quite as good as other 2 in that there was a lot of repetitive "run and hide" type stuff. Still a good book.

This gives you an insight into what will happen after the second coming of Jesus. It is considered a fiction since it has not happened yet. This looks into different people in different parts of the world and what they might be going through during the tribulation. I have read different stories about the end times and what different people might go through during this time.

The rise of the antichrist is biblical and it is shown in the book of Daniels and the book of Revelations. Also after the story ends, in the back they go through the bible and show you where it is written and the events is described in the bible.

it is great reading and also educational as well as what will happen after Jesus comes again.
