Another great book published by Packt!

Mastering Defensive Security by Cesar Bravo, MSc is a very thorough digest on the concepts, strategies, and techniques to secure Windows, Linux, IoT, OT, and Cloud resources.

This book is a beast. It covers best practices, hygiene, asset management, vulnerability management, and risk management as concepts and then shows how to implement them in an organization. It gives background and then hands-on directions for CLI and GUI tools. It covers Active Directory. It covers hybrid cloud.

It's a lot. If you are building a cybersecurity program or want your technicians and analysts to start implementing controls and harden systems, then this is the book for you. I gotta say, I thought it was a nice refresher for myself. Because of the breadth of content, I got a nice reminder of some things I haven't touched in a while.

And it's easy to read. So many technical books have the ability to put you to sleep before you learn anything useful. That's not the case here. It's not fluff. It's just engaging and useful.
