His exploits and victories as part of Kill Team Three bring the attention of forces seeking hegemony over the Republic. Best one of the Dark Ops series so far. Was hoping to see the multi-book story line to continue a bit further, but alas is not to be....

This is the fourth book in the Dark Operator series. If you have not read the other three books there are a few things you will not understand stand. Kel is the main character through out the series. But he is part of of a five man Legion Dark Ops team ( there is the Legion, top 1% soldier, the normal military. Then there are the Dark Operators.). Kel goes on a much need vacation with his new loveing family. But things go astray. Kel is force to work for a group or have his new adopted family hurt. What will this legionnaire due, for legionnaire’s only failure is the failure to do what’s right. This was a good book. I can't put my finger on it but it lacks something the rest of the books placed in the galaxy's edge universe has.

Unmasked

Puppets cannot see the hidden puppetmaster pull the strings prancing and dancing them on the stage. Dark Operators are no man's puppets when the Republic itself is at stake. The brothers of Kel Turner's Kill Team 3 and the leadership of the Dark Operators protect their own as they protect the Republic.
Secrets are unveiled in this 4th entry in the series. Spears, Anspach, and Cole show more than gritty realistic action. The wide skills required by DO include the patient and painstaking intelligence gather and the analysis required to thwart a galaxy bending conspiracy. It's not a dry, boring read. Enjoy

This is the five-star rating system I use:

★★★★★ Great book! Can’t wait to read it again (and I will).
★★★★☆ Good book. I am glad I read this.
★★★☆☆ OK book. Nothing special but not bad.
★★☆☆☆ Not good. Why did I waste my time?
★☆☆☆☆ Lousy. I didn’t finish.

If for whatever reason, I go back and reread a good book, I will change the rating to five-star because I read it again.

More related to today than imaginable.

Great action adventure book. Lt Turner is in the fight of his life. The political thieves are out for themselves. Sound familiar? Take one line from this book. It's a keeper. "When the local language is violence, be fluent."

Every story with Kel is satisfying and fulfilling

A masterful story full of skill, emotion, righteous justice, and great storytelling. It’s always fun identifying traits of earth nation’s traits in the different worlds.

As I've been in this universe for quite some time now I really enjoy it, but it's the fact these books just keep being good. This one is based around Kel Turner the man is just another operator, but among the warriors, he's a standout and this book shows you why. Fun and worth the time.

After the action packed last book we are back to a smaller scope with Kel reunited with the family only to have to defend them against pirate boarding attempt, followed by some good old fashioned Government blackmail.

To be honest, this wasn't what I expected, but I am not disappointed. We learn more about Kel as well as the Government it's (shadow) agencies.

Entertaining and def. has kept me interested in the next book in the series.
