I do really enjoy this series but this was my least favourite so far. I feel like I didn’t really care for main character Paige and like they couldn’t decide between paramedic or interior design which made it quite uninteresting.
I did like the twist with owens ex but it again was solved so quickly that it didn’t even make you worry.
It is becoming increasingly difficult to remember all the couples and their stories etc so I wonder how it will be at the end!
Even with all these negatives I did enjoy the book and will be continuing the series! They’re a comforting read with no big suspense moments.
This is definitely a book for people who enjoy happy endings. Lovely sweet romance, easy to read novella. I really enjoyed it. By the way, this is the first in the series I’ve read and reads very well as a stand-alone.
It was one of those hugs that squeezed the worries away, one of the ‘We can conquer anything’ hugs. - from this book.
Predictable? Yes. Sweet? Yep. Love? Triple yes.
If you’re in the mood for reading a rather short book and having two people fall in love in it, this is the book for you. All of the books in this series are similar in that a woman on a 3 week vacay to volunteer in a bakery find a man to love. All of the backstories of each new character are different, but the ending is the same and that is fine with me because who doesn’t like a happy ending?
This particular read had me rolling my eyes though. Paige was so insecure and doubted herself and her worth quite a bit, at parts, but I kept reading in the hopes she’d pull her head out of her butt to hold it high. Lol.
I believe this is a 14 book series, so I’ve got 10 more books to go. I do like that all of the characters are intertwined and even though none are blood related, they are their own family of friends. We get to see the relationships mature as books proceed to the next. In this read, Paige had applied for an internship to becoming a paramedic. She didn’t get the results for that app, so I assume that’ll be in either the very next book or the one after that. Cool.
These books can be read as stand alones, but it’s more fun to read them together.
Next is book 5, Family Ties at the Cornish Bakery.
It's another beautiful romance in this series, and both the lead characters were awesome. I can really see the growth of penworth bay in each and every book which is included very cleverly in writing. But I really thought that this book will not follow the usual way as to someone coming up to volunteering at the bakery, when I read the interaction between Charlie and Wendy but again this book too followed the same skeletal structure as other books in this series. It would be good to change up for some books. But definitely recommended.

This was my fourth Cornish Bakery book and though I have enjoyed the previous books as cute and easy reads, I have to say this one was a little lack lustre. I didn’t feel like the back stories were as developed. I didn’t feel invested in the characters at all. To be honest, I found it all a little boring. I also start to wonder how many more eligible bachelors can be sat in Pentworth Bay waiting for the next bakery volunteer.
I like the way there are new characters in every book, though there’s quite a list now. I like the British phraseology. However, after the second book in the series, the basic plot of each one has been exactly the same. They’re not the best books I’ve ever read, but I’ll keep reading them. They are nice, light, and happy.
I am really enjoying this Series of Books about the Cornish Bakery. Each book is about a new volunteer, their life and how it can open up in the few weeks they are there. I thoroughly recommend this series to read at any time.
Lovely story of love and friendship, a wonderful escape into Sarah Hope's world. Loving the series so far. Will be reading them all as the series are so easy to read.
The characters were fun and very interesting. They were close and very loving and kind. The love of their community was very enlightening. The romance was awesome. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.
I love these books a really feel good story.. A warm welcome from Elsie and the girls at the bakery and everyone at the Bay. Best of all a happy ending.
Having read 4 in the series you know where the ending is going to be, but they are fabulous Light reading so you can relax and be by the sea. Highly recommend
Another fabulous edition from the Cornish Bakery series. A lovely escape from everyday stresses, I loved this book. A lovely easy read & continuation from the previous books in this series. I love books that are part of a series. It’s bliss getting totally lost in the character’s lives. I cannot wait to read the next edition.
