Mike Conley is an author of Sci-Fi and Fantasy original fiction work. He is the Author of The After and other upcoming Afterverse novels.

Why would you, the reader, find me (Mike Conley) interesting? I’d like to say that I’m a charming master of all things. But that’s just what I would like to say. The truth is somewhere south of that. I live and breath all things Sci-Fi and Fantasy. My day job is one that is immersed in software engineering leadership and technology that helps fuel a love for all types of technical things. I also have a passion for epic stories, often creating universes in my head and letting them run amuck. And yes, that costs me a lot of sleep. The idea of sharing my stories is so appealing, I started writing in my later-mid life.

I bought this book thinking that I wouldn’t enjoy it as much because this isn’t a genre I’d normally read, but I’m so happy I gave it the chance I did. I loved it! It kept my attention the whole time and I didn’t want to put it down. The characters were amazing. I loved all of them. The story was well written and I’m excited to read the next one when it comes out.

An engaging SciFi escapism.

The story is well written, entertaining and engaging. It's fast paced and packed with action without neglecting character development. I dive in with the expectation that this is a simple military sci-fi because of the cover of the man in a spacesuit but I would best describe it as star trek/cowboy bebop meets sword art online.

I read this book in 2 sittings along with Fate of the Jedi in honor of May the 4th. It's a very enjoyable read with an interesting concept.

The story follows Artis who dies and finds himself in a new reality, a realm with advanced technology and space travel.

The thing I like about the book is how real the characters are. The crews are not simply cut and paste; each with their own unique traits and personality including the AI called Sexy. I recommend this book to any lover of scifi and anyone who love space adventure mixed with lit-rpg. I am looking forward to Artis and his crew next assignment.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Author Mike Conley for the opportunity.

I’ve never read a space opera before. I didn’t even know what one was until doing some research. I throughly enjoyed this book.
It’s not a hard hitting SciFi/mystery/romance what have you type of book. This is a easy to read and just enjoy it type of book.
I enjoyed getting to know the characters and I’m now invested in their lives. You want to know what happens to them! So many questions still need answers.
This is a fun space adventure that dips into a different reality than the one we are in. It has interesting world building and social interactions.
I recommend it for a fun light read! (Just be prepared to want to read the next book once it’s released!)
