He’s got wanderlust and no intention of settling down. She’s home to stay and has put her bad boy ex in her rearview mirror.
After spending his life abroad, embracing his freedom at every turn as a foreign correspondent, Roman Chandler finds himself the brother nominated to deal with his ailing mother’s matchmaking shenanigans. Thanks to a coin toss, he needs to find someone to marry and fast. It shouldn’t be that hard in sleepy Yorkshire Falls where women fall over themselves to hook a Chandler man.
But Roman only wants the one woman who got away.
Charlotte Bronson is back home to put down roots and get her lingerie business off the ground. She’s not interested in her past or a man that chose to chase breaking news stories to the far corners of the earth over her. No matter how good they used to be or how combustible their chemistry still burns.
It’s up to Roman to convince Charlotte he’s a changed man and here to stay.
THE PLAYBOY
He’s the town’s most popular playboy. She’s sworn off men and weddings for good.
Police officer, Rick Chandler, has managed to fend off the marriage-minded women in his small town but it’s getting more difficult with each passing day. After all, there’s something about the Chandler charm that keeps them coming back with hope in their hearts. What’s a man determined to stay single to do?
Kendall Sutton is a cliche, a runaway bride stuck on the side of the road, until she’s rescued by the sexiest cop she’s ever seen. In spite of her pearly gown and tiara, Kendall vows to never get married—which makes her the ideal fake girlfriend to ward off Rick’s legion of admirers.
But when their charade starts to feel real, suddenly the town’s most popular playboy has marriage on his mind – but will a woman with Kendall’s jaded past ever say “I do”?
THE HEARTBREAKER
He’s a loner who indulges in a one night stand out of town. She’s a senator’s daughter who never expects to see her indulgence again.
Small town journalist Chase Chandler has waited a long time for the chance at a national story, putting his dreams on hold to help with his younger trouble-making siblings and taking over the family newspaper. His trip to Washington D.C. is business only until he gets a look at the seductive red-head.
Sloane Carlisle isn’t just any woman. She’s a senator’s daughter whose world has been rocked by news that devastates her and she finds solace in Chase’s arms. She was never supposed to see him again except when she heads to the small town of Yorkshire Falls to uncover the truth about her family, she runs headlong into the man she can’t forget and suddenly he’s by her side. All. The. Time.
Because unbeknownst to Sloane, in exchange for an exclusive, all Chase needs to do is keep her safe. He’s watched his siblings fall in love and marry and suddenly the man who thought he was finished raising a family wants one with the woman who made him believe in love at first sight. What will it take to get Sloane to say the two words that could turn the town’s most eligible bachelor into the world’s sexiest spouse?

Wow! Great collection What a fantastic collection. I loved all three stories, from all the characters to all the town folk. Great individual stories with laugh out loud humour and happy endings. Thoroughly enjoyed both the stories and narration. Would definitely recommend.
The Bachelor Every single woman wants a Chandler man. Three brothers one sick mother and a toss of a coin. What could possibly go wrong. With Roman losing he finds himself needing the following - to find a wife asap and to start making babies. That should not be hard for one of the Chandler boys, surely.. Yet no one can measure up to beautiful Charlotte and he can not do this to her as he knows he won’t stay and so does she. Can they spend time together and not be affected by one other? Can he choose another woman when all he sees is her? With a meddling mother who loves playing matchmaker there are some funny moments. A really enjoyable story with great characters and a wonderful family. Excited to read the other brothers stories.
The Playboy Can he convince her to stay? With one brother already finding a partner Rick’s mother has ramped up her matchmaking skills and has the unmarried woman falling all over him to try and marry him off. One look at the pink haired runaway bride that has broken down on the side of the road and he is smitten. She has business in his small town and after that is she just passing through? Can he just spend time with her until she heads out of town? Will they both be able to move on with their lives when the time comes that she leaves? A story of unexpected love, a trouble maker that wants to see them fail and a teenager that could help bring them together. Another beautifully written story in this series with lots of angst, love and laughs. One more brother to go. Heading over to see what happens.
The Heartbreaker Chace took on a lot once his father died and he became man of the house to help his mother bring up his two younger brothers. It’s now his time to follow his dreams as they are both grown up and have partners. Sloane, a Senators daughter is always in the spotlight. She overhears something that rocks her world and she acts out, spending an unforgettable night with Chace. On a quest to find herself and the truth she seeks she heads to Chace’s hometown only to be heading straight into danger. Shocked to see that her rescuer is Chace she is confused and thinks the worse. Along with danger this story brings humour, a meddlesome mother and a growing love and affection between Chace and Sloane. Will Chace change his opinion and want a happily ever after with Sloane and all that comes with it? Or will he choose to follow his own path away from her? Another beautifully written story that I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend.
Where to start on this trio of underwhelming books... The audio format I listened to may have made things a bit tedious since it was one narrator, and the same narrator. She was capable enough, but her sometimes ridiculous voices and slight lisp could get old. Still, I think the audiobook was a solid format as I was able to listen while doing other things and not get so bored with the vanilla storylines as I probably would have stuck reading page after page.
My likes: These were decent romances if overly formulaic and lacking in any sort of originality. My dislikes: This series (and perhaps the author, as I have yet to read anything else by her) seems to write for the lowest common intelligence. Themes and things were explained over and over and over again (and not just from book to book to catch readers or newcomers up, but within the same story).
Also, all the parents in these stories seemed to be villains or schemers. Was there not one admirable older person?
Then, there were so many points I found suspicious, unrealistic, or downright puzzling. Examples: 1) Why did Chase feel compelled to drop out of college when his brothers were teenagers and almost fully grown. I'm a working mother of boys and I fault Raina for not insisting he stay in college. Of course, then we wouldn't have a story. (And I guess she does fess up to this at the very end.) 2) In the third book, the family secret that supposedly could tank Michael's career is laughable. That is NOT a scandal. I found it impossible to believe the DC spin doctors didn't seize on it as potential gold since they could have painted the senator as a knight in shining armor rescuing a pregnant woman and raising her daughter as his own. DUH. Just DUH! The motivating factors in all these plots lacked so much believability. I think this was my biggest complaint. 3) Why is Sampson described as and old man throughout the first two books (and given grey hair in the third) when we learn he actually around 45 years old -- only 7 years older than Chase!
I have to comb through my notes for other issues. There are many, but all the secondary characters got on my nerve in this series--every last one of them.
This starts out with a horrible situation, the mother of the three brothers uses manipulation to advocate for grandchildren. So, the three brothers, who would do anything for her decide one of them has to get married and have kids. A recipe for love, ah!
The first book was pretty cute. A second chance romance with the brother who lost the bet. His grand idea is to impregnate the ex, then run off to continue his life as a journalist worry free. Swoon. Luckily, the stories pick up.
The second book is about the middle brother, Rick. I don’t remember why they didn’t pick him first, he is settled, has a good job & isn’t looking to leave as soon as the test has double lines. This one features revenge porn, but not a very satisfying conclusion.
Third, we have the worst story. Chase helped raise his brothers after their father dies early. So he’s not looking to ever marry or have kids. He is a major dick & it’s hard to root for such a guy. He just needed to find the right one-night-stand to make him change his mind. This story features a ridiculous proclamation: the mains have known each other a week & then make the following pronouncement, “I know you.” Really? You know each other - after a week? Really stupid. A flat tire of an ending.
So I don't know if I'm not in the right headspace for this series or if I always wouldn't like it. This series starts with the brother's mom in the hospital - it's nothing serious but she wants her boys to settle down and give her grandbabies. So she lies and implies that she's dying to manipulation them into doing what she wonts. Now my mom actually passed away about six weeks ago. So it might be because her death is so recent or it might be the outright manipulation that was supposed to be the basis for funny (the coin toss was a little amusing) but not only did I not get into this book but I didn't want to even try the next book in the series.
The Bachelor Roman and his brothers are called home because his mother's health. They decide one of them needs to marry, and Roman is up first. Charlotte does not trust Roman to not leave again and puts all of her parental, abandonment issues on him. Roman re-evaluates his priorities based on his ailing mother and his feelings for Charlotte. Second review (audible). Charlotte is very frustrating. Placing all her issues on Roman, being hot and cold, and expecting him to keep up.
The Playboy Rick does not feel the needs to settle down, especially after having his heart trampled by his first wife. Kendall is used to being on her own and moving frequently. A fun, fake relationship read.
The Heartbreaker Chase is looking to break out in his professional life after he helped raise his younger brothers. He does not want to settle down. Sloane is throw for a loop when she overhears something about her past. The people in the shadows are obvious, and I do not understand why the first incident is downplayed.
Good series but the last book was super predictable. All 3 brothers were stand up guys & pilers in their community. Their mother wanted 1 thing, granbabies and did whatever was needed to get them. Each book was similar but different. The last story could've used more intrigue.
Although i read the first book, it was a good read. Only to make connections to the other two books. Each followed the same blueprint, different circumstances yet still entertaining.
