It goes through quite a no. of massively scalable internet based applications, makes some assumptions and designs them. Must read for any system designer/ architect.

Amazing book for people that are interested in aystem design and how its done, its much less detailed than Designing Data Intensive Applications book so I would say that its a nice read to get familiar with basics.

Great book! However, I highly recommend the online version from DesignGurus instead. It contains more material and stays up-to-date.
