$100 million of gold A maverick CEO A man who will stop at nothing for revenge The heist of the century
How far would you go to avenge a loved one?
How much would you risk to see justice done?
When John McCready learns that responsibility for his brother's death, during the salvage of gold from the wreck of a German U-Boat, was down to the company's CEO, he knows justice must be served…
…whatever it takes.
Plunged headlong into a heart-stopping, life and death struggle with an adversary who will stop at nothing to silence him, McCready must use all his wits and guile to take revenge against the man who changed his life forever.
From the depths of the North Sea, across the Highlands of Scotland, to tunnels deep beneath London's streets, Deep Steal is a rollercoaster ride of twists and turns with an explosive conclusion leading to unexpected events nobody could foresee.
Mike learned to dive when he was fifteen, and following a degree in marine biology and qualifying as a diving instructor, he has run a dive school in London, led trips around the world, and worked extensively in the film and TV industry.
The roles have ranged from safety and co-ordinating on feature films, commercials, pop-promos and TV productions, to camera work on documentaries, news reports and other video projects.
He has also written and directed a documentary on the development of rebreathers for the Discovery Channel, as well as numerous training and promotional videos.
Many of these adventures are documented in the book, Lights! Camera! Sub Action!
In parallel to the underwater work, he has always had a love of writing. This has led to a number of screenplays, interactive digital books and the John McCready series of novels.
Did it feel a bit stretched in reality? Sure, but isn't that why we read? To be entertained, to be awed, to be on the edge of our seats waiting for what happens?
cliffhanger? Not exactly. You can stop here. The main story wraps up nicely, but are there strings that are waiting to be pulled in the next book? Absolutely.
Now this was an excellent adventure thriller. Had a little of everything - chase scenes, a heist adventure, revenge, lots of close calls. All extremely well-written. Characters weren't flat - I didn't feel like I was reading a script for a video game. Not sure how believable all the scientific details were, and the characters weren't ones you'd meet on the street, but everything was so well written that it was easy to suspend belief. And it was plainly enjoyable reading, hard to put down even though I needed to catch my breath every so often.
What a find. I found this book hidden away in a list of Kindle books available and I though it might be good, and it really exceeded my expectations. It has so much, great characters, an intricate plot, well explained technical matters, locations that are different to say the least and the thrills just keep on coming. As a Scuba Diver I could related to the underwater parts. A great read, thank you Mike, I'll look forward to the sequel.
Superb characters, excellent scene depiction, enough technical description to understand without overload, and a grab your attention plot! Have to read the next book.
A great action story that grabbed me on page one and kept me up to the end. Especially interesting with its undersea emphasis. Looks like the first in a new series and it seems like a good one. I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway for this honest review.
Read this book and enjoyed it worth reading not a five star or even four too many people giving out four and five stars this is a two or three stars and I liked it but it’s my type of book

What a fantastic start to a thriller series! John McCready is great character, and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. Hopefully Clare will be part of his team.
