About the author

As an Award Winning and International Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo Best Selling Author, I have always been an avid reader. I joke that I "cut my romance teeth" on the old historical romance books. I’ve written as a hobby for over 30 years. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma's Home was created.

My first novel, Emma's Home became an Amazon Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love's Series. From there I have continued with the romantic suspense Alvarez Security Series and now the Saints Protection & Investigation Series.

My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with.
I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I recently retired and now can spend more time devoted to my writing.

I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 35 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters.
When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!

Natalie Robinson is not only gorgeous, a wonderful supportive teammate but also Leo Parker’s very best friend. As much as he is drawn to Natalie as more than a friend he can’t jeopardize the special bond they have by pursuing anything more.

Just as Leo, a former Special Forces team member who also did a stint as security to the stars is starting a great new career with LSI-WC, Natalie is stuck in a dead end job she hates. She ends up in the very wrong place at the worst time and catches the eye of a drug lord in Guatemala snd they end up working as teammates again.

Exciting

I quite enjoyed watching Leo & Natalie's establishing friendship turn into love and an HEA! They work well together and sometimes play "wingman" to each other with no issues. But then something changes, and slowly it becomes apparent that no one else can compete with their best friend.

Even then, it takes a bit for them to go for it. All it takes is one little Guatemalan rescue... 😁

I like the friendships with the Keepers, too. And when the action heats up, it's all very exciting!! Their story was a fairly quick read & kept me turning pages!!

Wow such a great book!!!! Leo is a keeper and loves every minute of it. He just finished up with the deltas and had to leave his best friend still serving. A tragic incident happens to Natalie that makes her get out of the service and take a job she doesn’t like. They talk as much as they can while on missions but sometimes it’s rough. Natalie needed help and the first person she called was her best friend.

Another great addition to the LSI series. Leo and Natalie are best friends in the Army foryears when they each get out and have different jobs. When Natalie goes to Guatemala for her job and runs into trouble, the first person she calls is Leo. He goes running with the backing of the LSI-WC group to save her. Suspense that keeps you hanging on to each word as they strive to rescue Abril from the clutches of the cartel. A sweet awakening between best friends as the struggle not to ruin what they have. Once again the author has given you a hard to put down until the end story.
I received an ARC for an honest review and honestly it is one that keeps you turning the pages from the beginning to the end.

Leo is the second installment in the new series, Lighthouse Security Investigations-West Coast also known as LSI -WC. I love this book so much! It's a friends-to-lovers romance between Leo, an LSI-WC Keeper, and Natalie, his best friend who served together in the Army when he was a Delta operative and she was a tactical analyst. Although they only claimed to be best friends, you could almost see the chemistry coming off the page...I thought my Kindle screen was going to fog up, lol. But they were both afraid to approach the other for something more in case it might mess up their friendship if they didn't work out. Leo separates from the military before Natalie, but after losing her dad, she decides to follow suit and goes to work as a bodyguard guarding celebrities. When Natalie's job sends her to Guatemala, things go awry. Leo and the Keepers step in to help and I don't mean like the big guy rescuing the damsel in distress because Natalie is no wilting flower! Things heat up in more ways than one and we finally get to see them reveal their feelings for each other. I don't want to give away the whole story so I'll stop there.

Every time I read one of Maryann Jordan's books, I think "ok, this is my favorite," and then a new book comes out and...well, you get the idea. However, I really think this is the one! This is my favorite. Leo is just so yum, ok I know that's not a sophisticated word, but it's true. He is! And Natalie is my favorite type of female character. She is so competent, sure of herself, holds her own with the guys, and is super amazing. Leo and Natalie's relationship is beautiful, both the friendship and the romance. I give it 5+ stars and I'm definitely buying the audiobook because this will be a story I go back to again.

Maryann Jordan’s newest release “Leo” is the latest in the Lighthouse Security West Coast series. With each one of Maryann’s books, I fall in love with all the characters. Leo and Natalie were on the same team while serving in the military. Now that they are out of the service, Leo working with Carson who now runs the LSI-WC in partnership with Mace LSI (Maine). Natalie working as a bodyguard for Hollywood types. She is presently a bodyguard for an actress filming a movie in Guatemala. Once the job is complete, the actress leaves. Natalie is left to return on her own. But a situation happens that is totally unexpected. Natalie calls her friend, Leo. To find out all the action, this book is a must buy.

Good friends can become lovers and work together without losing anything. Leo and Natalie have been friends for almost a decade: but there was always something more but neither one wanted to chance to find out what that was. Then their professional paths crossed as Natalie became the mission and that changed everything. This story is a bit different from her other LSI stories in that the main characters are already friends. They did not meet on a mission. I enjoyed the easy friendship between the two and it was a natural leap to lovers. Ms. Jordan's storytelling is smooth and realistic. I can wait to see what is next for the "Keepers" of LSI-WC!

This is book 2 in the Lighthouse Security West Coast series. It can absolutely be read as a standalone, but I love all the books in this interconnected series, so I recommend them too. Leo and Natalie have been best friend since they first met in the service. They served on the same team, and have never thought about anything other than friendship with each other. They spent a lot of off time together and even were each others "wingman" when it come to the opposite sex. And when they both left the service, they still kept in touch and remained friends. Leo has a job he loves with Lighthouse Security and knowing how much Natalie hates her job, he has thought about her coming to work with him. Natalie ended up in Hollywood being a bodyguard to the stars with a boss that has absolutely no integrity. He sends her to Guatemala as a bodyguard to an up and coming actress. And while there, she becomes friends with one of the interpreter's assigned to them named Abril. But when Abril is taken and no one will help find her, she calls Leo and enlists his help. And it pushes Leo to realize just how much he cares about Natalie, and how much more than friends he wants to be with her. Can they both come to terms with their feelings while saving Abril?

I loved almost everything about this story. Natalie is a woman that is not only kick butt but she is also honest and straight forward with a heart of gold. I loved everything about her! She will never leave someone hanging but she also will not just let an injustice go if she can help. Leo is this stand up, steady, and protective man who loves with his whole heart. He also will do anything for someone he considers a friend. I loved them together and that their relationship is truly built on friendship. They know everything about each other already, they just need to take that next step. The only thing I didn't like-Natalie talks/thinks about how she has loved him for a long time. But she didn't have a problem with watching him go off with other women. I, honestly, can't see anyone being ok with watching someone they love go off with someone else. And knowing what they are going to do. That was my only real issue I had. Everything else in this story I loved. Complete with Abril and her connection to Natalie. I would love Abril to get a story as she was an awesome character too!

Wow!!!! What a fantastic story. I was drawn in from the first word. Absolutely stunning!!!
Leo … what can be said to fully do this gorgeous specimen justice. He’s the full package. He’s a total alpha protector, his moral code beyond redemption. Such a beautiful character. I loved the addition of his family and their love for each other and Natalie.
Watching him with his brothers-in-arms was awe inspiring. They might be a different office to Mace and the original LSI hiya but they have their strong need to protect and support those who need it. But more than that they support each other without thought. They’re like a well-oiled machine in perfect synchronicity.
Natalie is a total badass. She has a pure heart and an equal need to serve and protect. The fact that she’s a well rounded beautiful soul is a minor miracle with the pain of having a mother check out and leave and a father who would have rather had a son. She finds something in Leo that she’s never experienced with anyone - someone who genuinely cares and thinks she’s pretty perfect the way she is.
Watching them both love the bones of each other but also be in love with each other, both just too scared to take that step and lose the precious relationship they already had. Watching their time come to fruition as they both take the next step was so heartbreakingly beautiful it brought tears to my eyes.
They both work seamlessly together as Natalie becomes of interest to a man filled with nothing but pure evil.
Maryann Jordan is always a fantastic tale tells. Her stories always stir the heart. There’s never a doubt about that, but Leo and Natalie’s story is beyond that. It’s awe inspiring and poignant. The depth she brings to the characters to bring them to life knows no bounds. Her ability to draw you in, make you feel welcome and encourages you to settle in and get to know and love your new friends knows no bounds.
An utterly, stunningly beautiful read.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of this book. I settled in to read this book and couldn't put it down. Leo was a Delta operative in the Army and Natalie was part of his support team, also in the Army, and they were best friends. They worked together in very dangerous, intense situations and hung out together in their free time. They were happy to sit on one another sofa's and eat pizza and watch a game or go out to the bars together. They each dated others, on and off over the years but were unable to find anyone long term. They were there for each other through good times and bad. Leo got out of the Army first and went to work as a body guard in Hollywood for a buddy named Carson. Carson, after meeting with a previous associate, Mace, joined forces to become Lighthouse Security and Investigation - West Coast. Natalie got out and also went to Hollywood to get into the security business. Her boss didn't have to the same level of integrity as Leo's boss did and Natalie wasn't overly happy working for him. She was assigned to be body guard to a new up and coming star in Guatemala, where she was filming, for a month. While in Guatemala she met an interpreter named Abril and developed a quick friendship. She, the young star and Natalie all roomed together and were described as looking like sisters. Just before Natalie is to fly home she and Abril witness a crime and Abril is snatched. Natalie calls Leo for help and the Keepers quickly come to the rescue. Friendship has been changing over the years into something more and with the fear of the situation comes to the surface. I was on the edge of my seat reading this book. Lots of suspense and intrigue in attempting to retrieve Abril. I really enjoyed this book and was able to sit and read it in one sitting, something that doesn't happen often for me. I would absolutely recommend this book. Maryann Jordan, you did it again!

This is book two in The Lighthouse Security Investigations West Coast Series and it is Leo and Natalie's story and omg it is definitely a must read. Leo and Natalie work together in the military and are also best friend's and even though they both wanted each other there friendship was the most important thing to them both so they didn't want to rock the boat and tell each other how they feel. Leo is now out of the military after being injured and worked for Carson as a bodyguard but now he has sold his business and bought a abandoned lighthouse and started the West Coast Keepers and Leo was offered a job which he gladly accepted. When Natalie decided that she wanted to get out of the military and went to work as a bodyguard and in Guatemala for a month overseeing the protection of a up and coming actress who is filming there and Natalie makes friend's with Abril who is the interpreter and while they were having coffee they witnessed a murder and then Abril was taken and Natalie was determined to find her and get her out so she called Leo for help and that is when everything changed between them. Leo and Natalie have strong and intense chemistry and a friendship that is so unique and spans year's but the love and care for each other is such a beautiful thing to see and now it is there time to shine and boy do they shine as a couple. This story takes you in right from the start and I was completely booked and read it in one sitting because I just couldn't put it down and in places it was so emotional that it had me in tears. Maryann Jordan is an amazing author and writer and the depth of her story's are what makes you go back time and time again to read them and this book was definitely worth reading and any of her book's would make a great film.

Leo is the newest addition to the Lighthouse Securities Investigations West Coast series and is a best friends to lovers story. It is the story of Leo and Natalie and goes back many years to show how long they’ve been in each other’s lives and how important they are to each other. There were never ‘those type of feelings’ between them but they held each other in high regard and knew that anyone that they dated needed to be at least as special as their BFF.

This is a great story about two super characters who bring out the best in each other. Their friendship is truly special. Leo is an alpha protector who doesn’t need to be alpha with Natalie because she is a badass all on her own. The chemistry the two share, even as friends, just jumps off the page and I really love that Ms. Jordan gives us several chapters of their history. Even though Natalie is strong and more than competent, she and her friend are kidnapped by a pretty evil guy and she knows that she needs some help. Reaching out to Leo is just second nature for her because she trusts him and knows that he will do whatever it takes to help her. The rescue and the romance are well done and we get to see more of Carson and the other Keepers.

This is a stand alone read but it’s nice to have history with the other Keepers so I would recommend reading Carson too. It’s nice to see Leo get some romantic advice after happily doling it out to Carson! 😉 Great read and well done – looking forward to Rick’s story!

Enjoying the the Lighthouse Security Investigations West Coast series just as much as the original LSI books. Leo is a keeper in more than one way - alpha of course, loyal, honest and a true friend. Natalie is feisty, sparky and totally kickass. They met when Natalie became the intel analyst for Leo’s Delta Team and have been best friends since. Their friendship is built on respect, trust, affection, pizza on the sofa watching TV and absolutely having each other’s back, it’s so important to them that neither has ever considered stepping over the friendship line into something more.
After an injury rules him out of Delta Leo goes to work for Carson at LSI - West Coast and loves his job the only thing that would make it better would be if Natalie came to work for LSI too. Natalie now a civilian works for a security firm as a bodyguard and integrity isn’t a word her boss knows. Leo is slowly coming to the realisation that his friendship with Natalie isn’t enough anymore especially when she is sent to Guatemala for a month as bodyguard to a spoilt actress and he misses her desperately.
There is action and suspense aplenty when trouble and danger strikes in Guatemala. Natalie immediately turns to Leo for help and he calls on all on LSI’s resources to assist. I loved the combustion of their chemistry as Leo and Natalie finally take a huge leap over the friendship line when they meet up again in Guatemala. Great plot, wonderful characters and an excellent read that I highly recommend.

Leo and Natalie, BFF’s for many years and both afraid to voice their feelings and jeopardize their friendship. They worked together in the Army and from their first meet, they were instant friends. Now years later both are out of the army, Leo working for LSI on the West coast and Natalie a bodyguard for the rich and famous…at least now both live in the same area and see each other frequently. When Natalie’s latest body-guarding gig lands her in Guatemala and on her last day she witnesses a kidnapping, she doesn’t hesitate and asks Leo for help. Leo doesn’t hesitate, he would burn down the world to help Nat and with the backing of LSI, the two enter a dangerous operation to save a woman that Nat considers a friend.
Hot darn….these two are THE COUPLE, bff’s for so long they KNOW each other and taking the next step….sigh. I LOVED their back story, how they met, how they were there for each other, how their friendship and love grew over the years…sigh. Not only that but of course there’s the added suspense as the two and other LSI members go in to save the day. I LOVED Nat’s backbone, she could handle her herself and gave as good as she got, strong and independent and perfectly matched for Leo. From start to finish I couldn’t put this down and I LOVED how it all ended for them and LSI west coast.

This is a friend to lovers’ book but it’s different as a reader you really get to see the friendship in all its wonder! I loved how Maryann was able to make you feel so invested in Nat and Leo– it was so real.
What I truly love about this book is that Nat holds her own, she is an analyst with the military and is the one that the teams rely on. She is intelligent tenacious, speaks her mind and does not back down from danger. In her own way she is a protector! You see this in many forms as the story develops.
Leos greatest attribute that he allows Nat to be who she is and even though he wants her close and protecting her. He allows her to work through her future goals and needs in her own time. But he is always there to catch her.
As with real friendships there are hardships, distance and then life’s just does its thing… When Nat is placed in a dangerous situation the first person, she calls is Leo. From here their relationships grows into a love of a lifetime. At times Leo is tested and unsure if his employment and the relationship will work, Carson gives Leo a lesson on relationship 101 advise…( Leo gets his own back)
I love how the side characters are being developed so that it hooks you in, as you want to get to know them too. This is Maryann’s 80th Book and its brilliant …

For some people they can’t see what right under their nose. Or maybe they can but are just in denial. Natalie and Leo have been best friends from the time they first met as in the military. However, neither will acknowledge what everyone else sees as a perfect couple.
They are now both out of the service, and working for different security companies. Leo tries to get her to sign up to LSI-WC, and she resists, thinking it would only be a bit of nepotism. Natalie has decided though that one last gig protecting her current film star in Guatemala then she’s moving jobs.
Things are going to plan, and just as she’s getting ready to come home, her new friend is kidnapped. It will take Leo, and some of his LSI-WC team helping herb to rescue her friend. I love with this story how the author took these two from friends to lovers, and brought Natalie into the LSI-WC fold.
I never pass up one of Maryann’s books, they are always well written, are not over the top smutty, and have a great believable plot, that keeps you reading till the end. I love with this one how she took these two from friends to lovers, and brought Natalie into the LSI-WC fold. Looking forward to more in this series.

Leo and Natalie served in the Army together. Natalie helped keep Leo and his team safe—from afar. She helped his team navigate missions. While deployed it was all business. While on break, they were best friends and regularly hung out together, but never crossed the line. While they both dated, they each compared their dates to what they already had and came up lacking every time. Once Leo left the Army, he took a position with LSI West Coast. Natalie left after Leo and found her job situation truly lacking. She worked as a bodyguard to the stars. Her boss was was a jerk and was only after the next big paycheck. When Natalie is assigned to bodyguard an actress while shooting a movie in South America, she did NOT want to go! But she felt she had no choice. When a run in with a drug lord ends up with a case of kidnapping and mistaken identity, Natalie calls Leo. Leo and his LSI team come to the rescue! It’s during the mission that Leo and Natalie realize they’re more than just best friends. But can they make it work once the dust settles? Loved, loved, loved this story! It is the second in the series, but can definitely be read as a standalone. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

An outstanding addition to your library of MaryAnn’s LSI-WC. Two friends and what happens as they find themselves learning that friendship can lead to other feelings. We met Leo, in an earlier LSI book and now we find his story as well as Natalie’s. Leo has now joined Carson at LSI-WC and talks to his friend Natalie who left the military and is now working for a Hollywood Bodyguard Company and is very unhappy. Leo would like her to join LSI-WC but she is hesitant as neither wants to hurt their current relationship. Natalie has now been assigned to watch an actress while an actress is on location in Guatemala. The actress is rather ditzy and wants to go to a casino, while there a chance encounter will start a series events that will have Natalie calling in reinforcements from Leo and his fellow Keepers. MaryAnn has woven a story that will leave you hanging on every word to see what will happen next and the conclusion is one that you may not see coming. I certainly didn’t.

This book is the second in the Lighthouse Security Investigation West Coast and it can be read as a standalone (but characters from the first book do make an appearance). Leo was a Delta Force operative in the army and his best friend Natalie was also in the army as part of his support team. They spent a lot of time together just watching the game, grabbing food, going to the bars. And they worked together in very dangerous situations and they had each other's backs. Leo gets out of the Army first and goes to work with Lighthouse Security Investigation and they are great. When Natalie gets out she also goes into the security business, but her boss isn't that great to work for. She ends up working in Guatemala for a new actress and unfortunately she and her interpreter witness a crime. She ends up calling Leo for help and his group immediately jump in to help. Their relationship evolves into something more romantic and they just have to survive to see where it goes. I absolutely loved this book and the characters are fabulous!

Welcome to the second installment of LSI-WC, while this is a part of a larger series each book is a standalone but be warned when you read one you will want to read them all.

The best part of this story is that it isn't your typical friends to lovers story or even your typical military thriller... Leo and Nat met while serving in the military and became friends. As the story unfolds we are given glimpses of over the years they go from friends to best friends.. they have ups and downs, live on different coasts and their military careers come to an end at different times (real-life situations), but through it all they are there for each other.

They date (or go home) with other people, they are living their lives with each other in it.. the mutual respect and love they share is wonderful to watch unfold.

Nat is on assignment and things go wrong, who else is she going to reach out to but Leo .. he runs to be by her side and figure things out but along the way they both realize what they truly need is to be each others forever.

But while on a job in Guatemala Nat's straight forward assignment goes sideways. Her first reaction is to call Leo. And his reaction is immediate. So with his LSI team at his back, they take on a cartel, kidnappers, assassination, treachery and even mistaken identities. But all through this adventure it becomes clear that Leo and Nat aren't just best friends, they're soul mates. Their slow burn to flaming romance is spectacular. And a great read, don't miss this riveting, action filled love story!

Now that Lighthouse Security Investigations has expanded to the West Coast, we are getting a chance to meet a new set of Keepers.
Former Delta Force Leo and now new LSI-WC member and Delta Force tactical analyst Natalie, have been best friends for years. Truth be told, feelings have developed between them, but neither has voiced them for fear of losing the friendship.
A family loss has Natalie leaving the Army and moving closer to Leo. While working as a bodyguard in Guatemala, an unexpected dangerous situation develops. Asking Leo for help has him and the West Coast Keepers working as a team.
Will they survive the danger? Will Leo and Natalie finally realize that expressing their feelings might be the best thing for them?
Once again this author delivers an engaging story that is action packed, filled with bad guys, good hunky ones, as well as a strong female character.

Leo has worked with Nat for many many years. She’s his best friend, he wants/dreams of more but doesn’t want to make the move in case he spoils everything. Nat compares every man she dates with Leo and they are all lacking. She won’t make the move on Leo because he’s her best friend and she doesn’t want to spoil it. It’s a stalemate, they’ve put each other into the friend zone. Until one day it all changes…….This is a wonderful book. I loved the will they/won’t they. It’s a great story, it evolves over years, it’s not the usual insta love/lust that many books have. Leo and Nat know each other inside out, they genuinely like each other and it shows in the book. I love reading this series, I enjoy catching up with the rest of the characters. It’s like meeting up with old friends. I can’t wait to read the next instalment. I received this book from the author. I’ve voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This is book 2 in Maryann Jordan's Lighthouse Security Keepers West series. This is Leo's story. Leo parker and Natalie Robinson served together in the Army and hung out together in their free time. BFF's but then Leo leaves and joins his buddy Carson's newly formed Lighthouse Security West . When Natalie leaves the service after her father dies, she takes a position as a bodyguard-she hates "babysitting" but it pays the bills . Leo would love for her to work with him, but he's not sure how their "friendship" would work if they were working together. Natalie takes a bodyguard job for a movie starlet in South America and comes under the scrutiny of a drug lord who decides he wants her. Leo flies to South America to save her but realizes she doesn't need saving, she "badass" and he has loved her for a long time and is not letting her go!!!! Another wonderful story from Maryann Jordan. I give it 5 stars!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Leo is the next book in the LSI-WC series and it was fabulous! Leo and Natalie met in the Army and began an amazing friendship. Despite neither being in the army any longer, their friendship remained steady. Not wanting to lose their friendship, neither acted on their attraction for each other. Leo has settled into LSI-WC and Natalie works as a bodyguard. Natalie is sent to Guatemala for a month and at the end of her visit, she witnesses a friend get kidnapped. She immediately calls Leo and he rushes down to help her. Once they are reunited, they finally give into their feelings. Leo, Natalie and the other keepers work to free her friend but it’s not easy with other forces working against them. This book grabbed my attention and I had a hrs time putting it down. I received an authors copy and I have left an honest review.

I love a good best friend story and Leo and Natalie are on top of my list.
While serving on the same team they become best friends, Natalie on the support team of Leo’s delta team Leo never wanted to cross the line. Timing is everything when in both of their minds go there, both in California Leo with the West coast Lighthouse keepers and Natalie doing bodyguard work Natalie gets sent to Guatemala to watch over an actress.
I loved both of these characters Leo a strong aloha but with a sweet heart, Natalie a kick ass, hangs with the guys but still has a heart
Of course there’s suspense when the assistant working on the movie set gets grabbed Leo and the Keepers come in to help Natalie with rescue.
Maryann Jordan writes just enough back story that you’ll fall in love and want them to be together and the suspense will have you turning the pages.
