She left me after the accident. After I recover, she’ll be mine.
While out drinking with my teammates — there she is. As gorgeous as ever. The one who got away. Not this time. Except this time ends in a near-fatal accident and my championship-winning football career might be over. She’s more than the nurse helping me get back on my feet — she’s the love of my life. But I’ve let her down. I messed up twice, but third times a charm … isn’t that what they say? I don’t deserve another chance but damn, I’ll die trying.

I wasn't really feeling this one. The writing didn't flow as well as I like, and I'm not sure that I liked the main characters together. Ryder was a jerk for most of the story, and the whole drunk driving thing at the beginning just turned me off from liking him. Alexis didn't really have a backbone, and I'm not a fan of weak heroines. This is a first for me from this author, but I would read something else from her. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
Second Chance Draft is a good second and practically third chance love. Alexis and Ryder have a fiery and undeniable chemistry. I found myself frustrated with both of them at various points of this story but overall I was rooting them on. The plot was great and book was written well. I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.
Second Chance Draft by Roxy Sinclaire is a well-written second chance sports romance story with heartbreak, intense chemistry, tragedy, love, and a HEA.

Second Chance Draft is an sexy second chance romance.
Alexis is a nurse who prefers to sit at home and relax rather than go to the party her friends are trying to drag her to. She knows her ex will be there. The ex who broke her heart in high school and is now a famous professional football player. But when they call her later and finally convince her, she has no idea that Ryan will be able to convince her into his car and end up changing their lives.
I admit that parts of Second Chance Draft were disturbing. Just reading how a drunk Ryan convinced Alexis, a nurse who should have known better, into his car and then he started driving, really bugged me. It was a trainwreck I could see a mile away. I really wanted to smack both her and him, because they should have known better. Of course, there were serious consequences, thankfully, and of course that's where their second chance took place, as she helped him recover while he went through months of physiotherapy. Unfortunately, he's a rude, inconsiderate jerk for most of his therapy, but Alexis is tough and determined to help him through his recovery. Being in such close quarters, you just knew their attraction would spark again, and whew, when it did?! Sparks flew!
I can't say that I ended up liking Ryan that much, but their story is a compelling one. It is paced well, and their chemistry is electric. Second chance is probably one of my favorite tropes, and Roxy has really executed it well here. Can't wait for more of Roxy's Pass to Win series.

What a fantastic couple nurse Alexis & professional footballer Ryder becomes.
At first we see how dysfunctional Ryder is & how when he's back in his home town. All he wanted to do was see his ex Alexis, but she on the other hand doesn't want to see him. But things went belly up as soon as they see each other & he JUST wants to find out what happened after prom night. It takes quite a while for us to find out what actually happened there. Here we see that Alexis gets asked to nurse him after their accident, even though to begin with it was SO tensive & lots of butting heads especially from Ryder's side. But during his time away from her, even though he's a fantastic footballer his personal life just went from 1 bad episode to another. So we hear more about that. Alexis' we hear only that she went down the path she always wanted. Here we see some deep emotional areas & though you don't really feel sorry for Ryder, I just thought he was an arse. But as the story goes along we start seeing a different side to him & it ALL boils down to Alexis with the way she is with him but then it's also the way he respects her.
Alexis knew Ryder long before he became a football star. Things didn't work out when they were dating in high school and they went their separate ways. Now she was invited to a party he was going to be at and she wasn't sure she wanted to go or not. When Ryder didn't see Alexis at the party he started to drink and when she did arrive late he was halfway loaded and persistent about taking her to his place so that they could talk. On the way they have a bad accident and Ryder is injured bad. When Alexis is released from the hospital she goes to see Ryder but he blames her for what happened and she leaves. When she comes back she runs into his father who offers her a job a Ryder's private nurse. As she takes care of Ryder things go from bad to worse and when he is finally on the mend they manage to talk about the past. Can Ryder and Alexis let the past stay in the past and move forward?
This was a great story and is fast paced. The chemistry between Ryder and Alexis sizzled from the pages. This was a well written story with amazing characters. I would recommend this to anyone that loves to lose themselves in a great love story.
****I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review****A great read. Roxy always has strong characters. Some have weaknesses that they have to overcome. Alexis has been hurt by Ryder (so she thought.) He had started dating her in high school. At first, it was just a test to see if he could get to her. But after several dates, he began to fall for her. Just as he was falling, he felt that she was pulling away. After prom, she left for college to become a nurse, without a word. Years later, Alexis' friends want her to go to a party with them. She refuses to go because she believes that Ryder will be there. He's now a star quarterback. He was there with one of his former classmates. He had just been released from rehab. He was waiting to see if Alexis was coming. While waiting, his friend kept plying him with beers. By the time her friends convinced her to come meet them, he was drunk when she got there. He insisted that she go to his home so that they could talk. They ran into a tree. This is just the beginning of their story!
A well written second chance sports romance with nice storyline and plot. The characters are well described and develops nicely through the story. Their chemistry is amazing and hot. I like it is written in dual POV, which gives the reader both the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. The twists makes you just want to read more. The epilogue was very welcomed because it gives the reader a hint of the future.
A very quick and easy read. It is sweet and surprised me in the most positive way. It is not all about steamy hot scenes. It is about finding the one you have been looking for. The one that makes your life whole and then settle down and enjoy it all. A story about letting the past be just that - the past and take your own future in your hands.
There are a lot in this story. It has heartbreak, love, tragedy, trust issues, drunk driving (not my thing), strong heroin, regrets and emotions.
Love can help you get you head screwed on straight
I'm not much of a sports romance reader, but that isn't why I felt that this book earned only 4 stars. There were a couple of times when Alexis and Ryder were interacting with each other after the accident that I was confused about what was taking place. The first time I can really remember this feeling was when they went outside for the first time right around November. Maybe no one else had this issue, but I couldn't visualize what they were doing, so I couldn't understand what they were doing. I also didn't really like Ryder. I have something against sports figures who blame it one the money or the parties or the you-name-it. Bad decisions are your bad decisions regardless of how much money you make. And how could he blow away being sober just like that? Alexis was way too forgiving. But the epilogue did show his growth, and it made me smile at the end because he got his life together.
I didn't really connect well with the characters. The storyline was interesting but a tad disturbing. Trigger warning to those sensitive about drunk driving.
Ryder is a football star that was a month into sobriety. That got shot to pieces when he attended a party with the hopes of seeing Alexis, the girl that ghosted him after prom. I didn't really get a good feel for the timeline between high school and present. The scene with Ryder convincing Alexis to get in the car with him while he was drunk was disturbing. She consciously knew better, especially since she was a nurse, but she got in the car and let him drive anyway. Most of the book is his recovery from the accident, the ups and downs, but I still wasn't feeling a great love between them.

This was book six in the Pass To Win Series. The story of Alexis and Ryder is an emotional one that will have you frustrated at times and other times jumping for joy. Ryder was a famous pro ball player who messed up as many do. He and Alexis knew each other in high school but drifted away. He had been in rehab for a drug problem and then ends up getting into an accident that put them both in the hospital. Her injuries were minor, but his were serious and he required a full time nurse. She volunteered to nurse him back to health so he could hopefully play ball again. He was arrogant and rude as he was angry at being dependent. Well written with complex characters and an emotional story line. Lots of drama and turmoil as they work through many problems to an eventual HEA and a second chance romance. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
Ryder is the popular bad boy football player. Alexis is the underestimated, invisible smart girl. Their high school romance is unexpected. Unfortunately their young love never has a chance to blossom as it is derailed by misinterpreted gossip. Now years later they reconnect at a party. Ryder is now a famous football player with lifetime of bad decisions weighing him down. He is haunted by the memory of Alexis leaving him before he could confess his love for her. Ryder and Alexis' reunion is disrupted by another rash decision made by Ryder that ends up threatening both of their lives. Can they beat the odds stacked against them to get their happily ever after? This heart wrenching story will have your rooting for these two star-crossed lovers.
Alexis and Ryder drifted apart after high school, and now that he is a famous football player, they meet again at a party. After leaving they have a terrible car crash which ends up with serious injuries for Ryder, who will require a nurse to look after him at home. He is shocked when Alexis shows up as his nurse, and the chemistry between these two is intense. No spoilers; this is another must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a beautifully written story, which is emotional, heartbreaking, gritty, intense, and passionate. I highly recommend this authors’ work for all readers, and cannot wait for more.
HOLY HELL!!! THIS IS A FANTASTIC READ!!! Smooth flowing incredible read with gut twisting and heartsretching scenes that feel as if you're the one hurting. The characters are so believable and down to earth. I was hooked right from the start. The chemistry between the two main characters are high and palpable. Realism at its finest. Facing incredible odds and strife to overcome adversity the two stand together. An amazing read of healing and fighting for the love you lost. Roxy did a remarkable job bringing this read to life.
Alexis has always wanted to be a nurse just like her mother. Ryder has always been the bad boy. They share a past, but their future is uncertain. Will Alexis be ready to give them a second chance? Will Ryder be able to overcome his injuries and addiction?
Loved these two characters. Neither character were willing to give up when it came down to it. I loved Alexis determination to help him, regardless of their past. I didn't blame Ryder for being hesitant, but loved the fact that once he decided to fight, he proved to be strong. Good read!

This was a really good second chance romance. It had been a few years since Alexis and Ryder had talked, since she abruptly pulled away after they went to their high school prom. In the meantime, neither of their feelings went away. Seeing each other again, along with a devastating accident, have their feelings even more conflicted. This is a story that shows how miscommunication and failure to communicate can have the potential to alter the future. It's also a story about moving beyond past hurts. *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
Ryder is now a famous football player but before he was him and Alexis were high school sweethearts but grew apart after high school. They meet up at a party and he insists she leaves with him but having drunk too much they get in a wreck she is mildly hurt but he is pretty bad and is going to need help so she becomes his nurse. He wants her back but if I had been her I would have dumped him on his butt he has some major issues and keeps taking them out on her will they be able to get over the past or will they both end up alone again?
Ryder didn't really know why Alexis pulled away back then. Now he is determined to do d out. Only problem is placed both their lives in danger. She helps him recover and their relationship grows to more than nurse and patient. I loved how this book was steamy but not so much so that it attracted from the story. Great read. I loved all the extras after too. I got monies worth since this book was on Kindle Unlimited.
There is Ryder who has lots of demons from high school that his is fighting to rise above and then there is Alexis his old high school flame who is now grown up. This is a rather emotional read with a really high heat level between the two main characters. Will Ryder be able to get the one who got away? Will he be able to rise above and heal himself? This is a quick read with some good sizzle. Enjoy!

📚I am honestly and voluntarily reviewing an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book 📚 This is an OK read by one of my favorite authors, Roxy Sinclaire. Ryder and Alexis were difficult characters to sympathize with. Ryder was an entitled jock, recovering drug addict, but still drinking......and driving...hummmmm. Alexis was a nurse who should have known better and pretty weak willed at times. It took me 1/2 the book to like either one. Still, fast, sexy read.
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. I really loved “Second Chance Draft” from Roxy Sinclaire. This is a well written book and It has a interesting, engaging storyline with lovely, enjoyable characters, Ryder & Alexis, that I liked and enjoyed reading about. They kept me engrossed in this book with their story, I couldn’t put it down. This is an Enjoyable, Must Read, Romantic Story that I would recommend reading.
Roxy has done an amazing job with this story. The hardships that he’s going through with his depression and the accident makes it even more enduring when he starts fighting for what he wants instead of lying there wasting away. She’s determined to help him, even with all that she believes that happened back in high school. I just love their story and cannot wait to see what’s next for this series. I’m voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Ryder and Alexis have a complicated past. They dated in high school but misunderstandings caused them to split up. After a serious accident they come together and discover a second chance at love. A sweet, sexy love story that I enjoyed reading.
I received an arc and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ryder and Alexis dated in high school until something happened. Now years later they meet again. Can she forget the pain of her past and learn to love again? Ryder has never forgot her. Is he worthy of being with her? I enjoyed their story as they both had to deal with not only issues with their career but trying to figure out if they could open their heart to love.
A second chance romance that pulls at your heart strings. Roxy did an amazing job on this one. Alexis and Ryder, to me, are a perfect couple. High school sweethearts that drifted apart and found their way back together. It was an emotional rollercoaster. I loved them together. Fantastic book.

Book provides a roller coaster of turbulent emotions. A second chance romance with plenty of drama, suspense, and romance and secrets. Ryder and Alexis have a painful past and the road to a HEA is not smooth. I'm posting a totally honest, voluntary review after reading this book.
This is a very good second chance romance. The storyline is well-written, intense, emotional with strong, independent and complex characters. There is some drama, intense chemistry and bumps in the road to a HEA. I enjoyed this book. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
