Louis “Psycho” Mitchell is revered as cold, unhinged, and at times, soulless. His reputation proceeds him and as the Enforcer for The Road Wreckers MC, reputation is everything. The club and his brothers are what keeps him grounded and able to get through life.
Evie Hemingway just wants a normal life. To raise her son, be able to pay her bills, and stay out of trouble. Reckless decisions led her down a path she had no business being on and now she’s chasing a quiet life with her son.
Evie isn’t ready for her world to collide with Psycho’s, yet she has no choice, Psycho has set his sights on her, and he always gets what he wants. Passion and obsession are about to consume them both and limits are going to be pushed.
Can someone as pure as Evie find love in the darkness?
Can someone as twisted as Psycho live in the light?
Will they find the balance they need to survive each other and be the family they’ve both always wanted?
Ellie R Hunter is a writer now living in Norfolk having grown up in Cambridge, England. Incurable Hearts was her first novel followed by The Lost Souls MC series. She is an avid reader in her spare time and enjoys spending time with her family.
Now this was a great read. I really enjoyed this book out of what I've read from this series so far. Psycho and Evie meshed well together their love and the love of Thomas was beautiful to see. Both not having the best of home lives Psycho more than Evie , but Evie excepted Psycho wholeheartedly . I loved Thomas and his innocence and I think Psycho fell more in love with Evie for how she adored her son she was an excellent mother which is something that Psycho didn't have in his own life. I'd love to read more about these two characters hopefully there will be more books to come.
Absolutely amazing! You need to meet Psycho! I loved this story so much, i read this without reading the others in the series and i still read it perfectly well! Louis and Evie was like polar opposites but they fit so well together! The storyline was amazing and everything in between!

This is a dark, dank, dismal book about a psychotic member of a motorcycle club. His life has been bleak and his outlook on life has been forged by despondency and despair. He is the Road Wrecker MC’s Enforcer.
This is the third in a four-book series; each book is written by a different writer. I did not like the first book, but the Psycho-character was compelling, and I was curious to see how a story about a potential serial killer would turn out. The first book was executed poorly, and I was dubious (at best) about reading another book in the series. This one is almost the opposite of the first book. Where the first held an intriguing premise with terrible execution, this third book has a mediocre story but is written well.
The eponymous Psycho is a bleak character with a twin sister, Lexi, in prison. It is on a visit to see his sister that he first notices the heroine of the book, Evie, and falls for her. It’s insta-love for Psycho. She doesn’t notice him. A lot of the story is spent showing the depth of darkness in Psycho. His actions are atrocious, and the intensity of his depravity is experienced by the reader. Even his MC brothers seem to fear him, although they love him as one of their own. It is an interesting study in immorality and despair. It is like looking at the development of a serial killer.
I felt little for any of the characters. Psycho is a curiosity and makes a reader wonder whether such immoral conduct is caused by a genetic defect or by a terrible home life as a child. There are no answers here; we are invited to watch as Psycho moves through his world of abject terror and brutalities, all the while looking for the unattainable, love.
Parts of the story make little sense and seem to exist as padding for the book. For instance, the cruel indifference of Evie’s mother is without purpose. Why does she want Evie’s son? We aren’t told, but there is a patina of apathy surrounding their relationship and it is difficult to believe that Evie’s mother operates from a position of love. And what was the hold that Psycho’s father had on his twin sister; where did it come from since he was such a monster to them both?
Psycho’s character is not going to change. The narration tells us this. Psycho says this to Evie. So, his appearance into Evie and her son’s lives does not bode well for a harmonious future.
This is an odd book. I rated it 2.5 stars and rounded up because the writing style is good and encourages the reader to keep on reading. I’d like to read something else by Ms. Hunter, something a bit less grim and discouraging.
I have to say out of the whole series this was the best written, only thing I found out of the ordinary was a small patch written in a different script. It was a relief to not be plagued with errors and inconsistencies that are in all of the other books. Even though Psycho is dark, moody and violent he has a heart, it's been hurt and has affected him in every way and it stemmed from his mother walking out when he was a child, leaving him with a drunk abusive father. He doesn't date, one girlfriend in his teens didn't end well. Evie has been struggling, her mother instead of being loving and supportive has blamed her. Both characters have flaws and are vulnerable, but there is a chemistry between them and a trust that Evie does question, but when needed Psycho steps up to be what she needs most. This is a violent read in many ways but there is this deep vulnerability in both characters that gives their relationship a sweetness and light even in darkness. I found it to be a gripping and suspenseful story, with pain and love in equal measures. And it's a HEA ending. I loved this one.
It's official, Psycho is my new book boyfriend! This is the first time I have read this author's work but it certainly won't be the last time. Psycho (aka Louis) and Evie are the couple who travel their road to happily ever after in this book. Evie is in prison the first time Psycho sees her. He is immediately smitten by her and decides she is his. He enlists the help of his sister who is also in prison. Evie gets out after serving 2 months and Psycho begins his plan to win her. He gets her a job and fills her house with groceries. Eventually he helps her get her son back from her controlling mother. Psycho never thought the love of a good woman was in the cards for him. They have a steamy sex life but their is a connection they have never felt before. There is angst; he worries he is not good for her and she worries about how the relationship will affect her young son. A terrible threat happens and Psycho needs to be himself to handle it. This threatens to break them apart. This books in this series can be read as standalones but for your best enjoyment I say read them in order. Now I am off to start the last book in the series.
First things first; I like the cover of this book! Psycho is the third book in the road wreckers collection. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. Psycho is the first book of Ellie R. Hunter’s that I have read. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Pyscho is a member of the road wreckers MC. He is a man not to be messed with. Whilst visiting his sister in prison, he sees Evie. From the moment he sees her he wants her. Evie is a single mother in prison for something small. When released will she find love with her prison friends brother? The chemistry between Pyscho/Louis and Evie is clear to see and I liked them together. I loved Louis’s bond with Thomas. I also liked Evie’s friendship with Lexi. I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.
This was another good story in the series. Psycho is really scary on his side hustle but he is a good person to those that he loves. Evie, the main female character, that poor woman has been through difficult times. She is a single mother and was trying to get food for her son and was picked up for shoplifting. Psycho meets her in prison while visiting his sister Lexi. At first I thought that his sister was cool but she got shady as the storyline progressed. I thought that she might like Evie for herself. I am so shocked by her betrayal. The story stays interesting and with twists. The MC Brothers are present in this story as well as Olivia so it’s better with the depth. Read On!
This is the 3rd in a series, with each being written by a different author. I will be honest and say I went into this one a little apprehensive after reading the first two in Road Wreckers MC. They had a lot of grammatical errors and the 2nd one had no ending.
This one was amazing and earned ever one of its 5 stars. The story made sense, the characters had depth. There was a clearing beginning of the relationship with all the expected twists and turmoils I want out of an MC book. The ending was perfect! I couldn’t have asked for a better ending.
I’ll have to go explore this author and see what other works they have available.
What is it about the dark antiheroes? *le sigh* So hard to resist… Meet cute: they meet in the prison’s visiting area. He’s visiting his sister and she’s in for shoplifting. Psycho takes one look at Evie and that’s all she wrote. Book is SAFE. Heat is EXPLICIT. TRIGGERS include violence, blood, language, child endangerment. TROPES include Dysfunctional Family FTW, He Falls First and Harder, Instalove, Adorable Moppet, Single Mom, Psychokiller Qu’est que c’est (bah bah bah bah bah bah bah bah bah bah), Tattoos and Glory, 1% MC, Hitman Baby One More Time, Merry Olde England, Pretty Woman (grocery edition).
I really enjoyed this book. I think this is my favourite of the series so far. The storyline was exciting, emotional and entertaining. Loved the characters, they had great chemistry. There were so grammatical errors throughout this book, which need fixing. Otherwise I really enjoyed this book.
I’m a fan of Ellie’s writing so I wasn’t expecting anything less than brilliant from this book and I wasn’t disappointed. I’m totally in love with Psycho but I’m happy to share him with Evie and Thomas. This series has been so good, it’s easy to forget it’s written by different authors they blend and run in to each so smoothly.
Oooh I think this is my favourite so far, but I haven't read Riot yet!! But this one took my heart! Psycho, what can I say?!! You stole my heart as soon as you set eyes on Evie and I was in your corner from the get-go! I could not put this down at all!!!
Only thing that’s triggering me is at the beginning when he takes Evie shopping. He keeps calling them ‘groceries’ but I don’t know anybody in England that calls them that. It’s shopping or food shop 😀
This was a good read. Psycho is a very dark character and when the darkness takes hold it takes a lot to bring him back to the light. He sees Evie who has her own demons but her light brings him out of the darknesx.
Amazing read filled with darkness and pain from the past, emotion, action/plot build, insanely hot chemistry, and a beautiful love that had me reading at every opportunity. Can't wait to see what's next.
Not what I expected. Much, much more. Deep a d dark. I love how the characters got together. The connection is deep. Protection and love is a must in my life. Great series
Wow what an amazing series. I am so glad to have read Psycho's story. He was so sexy and so incredible. He was so good for her and her son. A misunderstood Hero!!!! Loved this book. 📚🔥✨🔥💞🔥✨✨📚
Psycho and Evie meet in the most usual place, prison where he was visiting his sister . Psycho immediately needed to know everything about Evie. So with the help of his sister they came together.
Like every love story they have their dark moment. Ellie R Hunter showed us who Psycho was and why he was wired they way he is. She tells us the story of his need for normal. Serious what is normal. Lol Evie made one mistake all in the love for her son. She has doubts but can she accept who Psycho really is compare to the part he shows when loving her and her son. As the reader I can see the struggle the couple experience. Psycho at times made me cry because reading the words I could feel his pain. It like watching a movie.
This is book three of the series and the authors have not swayed from the outline, each books flows right into the next.
