Welcome to the Five Worlds…

…Where notorious global superpowers have full control

Sion Zona narrowly escaped Tamuria’s wrath. But the empire has taken some of the brewing war’s most important elementals prisoner. Sion was told Tamuria’s prisons were unplottable. What he didn’t realize was that unplottable indicated different worlds.

And each prison within those worlds belongs to their respective global superpowers.

Fighting one superpower was hard enough, and it didn’t end well for Sion. Fighting multiple superpowers singlehandedly to rescue those allies is a death sentence. So unless he learns a thing or two about his evolving gifts, not everyone will survive the encounter.

Wind Master is Book II in Elementals of Nordica, an exciting speculative fantasy fused with science fiction. If you love elemental magic, genre-bending, complex plots, and sword and sorcery with a contemporary twist, Wind Master is a MUST READ.

The Review

Immediately, I am struck by how seamless and natural the genre mashups the author deployed in this narrative felt as the story progressed. The world-building and the layers of mythology the author added and peeled back for the reader to behold was truly awe-inspiring, and did a tremendous job of creating an atmosphere of fantasy and sci-fi that felt like the natural progression this fictional world deserved.

Yet it was the way the author managed to balance out this story's more fantastic elements with emotional, personal, and relatable character growth and development, especially from characters like Sion, Cora, and others. The revelation of the Nine’s purpose and their goals against the government’s schemes was so fascinating to read, and getting to see the infusion of these various stylistic elements into the narrative made it feel very cinematic in its delivery.

The Verdict

The X-Men meets The Witcher, author T.C. Marti’s “Wind Master” is a must-read sci-fi fantasy and the perfect sequel. The author did a great job of building upon the bones of the first novel while keeping the story and characters fresh and well balanced. The twists and turns in the narrative and the brilliant imagery the narrative held made this story come to life in such a vivid way. Summary

Wind Master: Elementals of Nordica Book 2 is a speculative fiction novel by TC Marti. In this book, Sion Zona barely escaped Tamuria's wrath. He's lucky to be alive, but there are elementals who have been held captive by the empire. The global superpowers are in control of each prison in different worlds, and Sion must uncover more about his evolving gifts to be able to fight multiple superpowers and rescue his allies.

Review

This fusion of fantasy and science fiction was well crafted. I like that the story becomes more and more intense emotionally, and physically for the characters. I think it's harder to pull off action scenes in books than in movies because writing them entail more art and precision to pull the readers into those supposedly exhausting yet thrilling moments.

Everything about this book is so cinematic that I can't help but imagine it in the big screen while I'm reading it. Moreover, the character developments evoke a sense of satisfaction. Hence, I’m giving this book 5 out of 5 stars. I’m excited to learn more about the Chosen Nine and what awaits them as the battle continues. I’m also intrigued as to how Sion will be surviving in the next installment. This book is highly recommended to readers who love supernatural stories.

Non-Stop Action

The Author continues to captivate the reader with the action-filled adventures of a group of Elemental Masters around whom the fate of the world rests. Sion, Raje, Valkyrie,
Corra, Shia, Freya, Hannah, the Twins as well as the rest of the Elementals that have taken the torch from Col will fight to reach their goal. The plot is very well written, the author has the gift
needed to virtually transport the reader where the action takes place. The twists and turns as well as
the predicaments that face the individual Elemental Masters are transmitted to the reader in a masterful way by the author and make this book a page-turner. Definitively a 5 STARS and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Great Story!!

This story grabs you from the opening page until the end. As the author did in book 1. We have in-depth character development and plot. Mixed in with good elements mystery and suspense and you have a great story. You care for these main characters and the focal point changes as needed. You want them to survive and thrive fighting the oppression from the enemy. You will find you can't read fast enough to learn the fate of our main characters and the environment their in. If you like characters that bond together and young people growing before your eyes fighting to overcome tyranny, then keep reading and enjoy 😉

Wind Master is the second book in the Elementals of Nordica series and like its predecessor, it starts out with a bang and never lets up from one page to another. It is filled with plenty of action to keep the pages turning as each battle is fought.

I could see each and every elemental as they fought in the battles as the descriptions were so vivid. I really enjoy trying to picture the elementals when they are using their magic. I feel as if I am right there with them as the battles rage on.

I love this world TC Marti has created for the elementals in the Elementals of Nordica. I can’t wait to read more from this world and meet more new and interesting characters and get to know all the characters that we have been introduced to so far even more.

In the Wind Master Sion learns that some of the elementals have been taken, prisoner. Sion and his friends must find a way to break the prisoners out without being caught. Sion will have to face his old nemesis, Tamuria again in battle if he is to break into her prison to rescue the elementals.

I highly recommend Wind Master to all fans of magic, fantasy, science fiction, dystopia, and sword & sorcery! Grab your copy of Wind Master today and step into the world of the Elementals of Nordica for another great adventure of magic and sword & sorcery!

I received an advance reader copy of Wind Master for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The first book in the author's Elementals of Nordica series, Wind Wielder, is filled with spectacular action, and I am pleased to be able to say that this follow-up does exactly the same. Action is always difficult to get right, and once again, Marti pulls this off, increasing the scale. Increasing the scale of the series is something the author has managed well, from the aforementioned action, to higher stakes, through to bolder science fiction elements.

The book jumps right into the action, hitting the ground running, which should please fans of Wind Master. However, this comes at the expense of being as friendly as it could be for new readers (to anyone who hasn't read Wind Wielder yet, this can be easily rectified by reading it, itself a highly entertaining book).

Marti continues the themes about corruption and power from the original, expanding on these, and adding an extra layer to the action. Somewhat less successful are the book's quieter moments, though these only impacted my enjoyment in the first act.

If you have read Wind Wielder and enjoyed it, you will not be disappointed by this follow-up. If you haven't read Wind Wielder, but enjoy spectacular action, science fiction and fantasy with speculative fiction trappings, again, I truly recommend you picking this up. Just read the original first.

My full thoughts will be available on my website from 2 February. You'll be able to find those thoughts, as well as my thoughts on this and other books, by following this handy link.

I read this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
This book jumped in right where Wind Wielder left off with amazing action and suspense. The running theme is power corrupts and more examples of this comes out. A definite must read.
