Beautiful, vibrant, larger than life Paxton is now dead and gone. Her boyfriend and two other girls were with her the night of her tragic accident. All three of them have moved on like Paxton never existed, but Paxton’s best friend, Layla, hasn’t forgotten anything. Layla is convinced that there is more to the story--much more than any of those present that night have told. As she continues to dig into the circumstances surrounding Paxton’s death, Layla thinks she’s on the verge of discovering the truth. In reality, she may be placing herself in grave danger. Choosing who to trust could be the most important decision of her life. If she chooses wrong, it just might be a fatal mistake.

This book wasn’t as good as what the other books was. Bellany was up to the same old ways of trying to find men and get money from them. I think this series should probably just go ahead and end here because honestly I’m not sure how much more Bellany can do to keep this going.
Book 6 in the “They all had a reason” series. This one did not disappoint. This time Bellany wiggles her way into a group of friends who have some series issues going on between them. Including jealousy, envy, oh and did I forget death. This book did not disappoint. I’m can’t wait for the next book in this series to be released on November. I’m hooked on this entire series and I’m on edge waiting to see what Bellany will do next or should I say WHO she will be next!!
Absolutely 5 Stars! I had no idea where this book was going. There’s so many twists and secrets that come out that make you think it was someone different every time! Amazing! Wondering if there will be a book 7??? I sure hope so!
This series, I discovered last year and read the first five books and waited patiently for Book #6 now that I have as I had assumed it would be the end of the series and Bellamy would get what's coming to her, we now have more to come as this one as the others ended on a cliffhanger ending. I have to admit unlike the others this one didn't feel like a Bellamy story rather than the side character Layla, who takes over, and then some of the other cast did as well. I was confused at first as I was like where's Bellamy and her new identity we were first presented with a group of friends Layla, Lane, William, Kye, and Dottie. Turns out their friend Paxton has been missing and Lane has been charged with her murder, but there is no body. Bellamy then turns up as PJ and looks identical to Paxton, her mark in this book is Lane and to get him off the murder charges. Unlike the others, this one did drag a bit and took about 60% of the book before it got exciting and then WOWZA the last 20% took a punch as it was amazing and exciting. We learned about Paxton before her disappearance, why Bellamy looks like Paxton, the nasty truth behind Dottie's dad and then the friends' group, and what everyone is capable of when they are jealous. I also thought the character Layla in this book gives Bellamy overall a run for her money and if you thought Bellamy was evil, then Layla is worse at least Bellamy knows how to use people to her advantage and make them feel wanted unlike Layla who is just a cold-hearted ice queen and a manipulative cow. I am now looking forward to Book #7 as it looks like Bellamy will be reunited with Corey and Tasha who are busy living in Mexico after escaping in Book #5. If you love YA thrillers, then you will love this series by Michele Leathers and the best thing is that all the books are available on KU to read.
Paxton goes missing and her friends are really taking it hard. Layla finds Bellany who looks very similar to pactoon and befriends her. Everyone knows Layla be on that BS so they thought this was all her plan.
But bellany’s plan has been in the making since before Paxton went missing. In fact she knows exactly how she died and that Lane (laylas brother) is actually innocent. Or so she thinks. Lane is bellany’s new mark, but while he is on trial for murder he is at risk of losing his inheritance.
Layla is just as conniving as Bellany but Bellany is better. In the end Layla was no match.
Bellany was able to walk away with all the money but not before killing lane because he admitted to knowing she did not just arrive and she wasn’t who she said she was. But it’s not over she wants the money that Corey took from her. So she’s going down to Mexico to get it back.

I honestly think that this is my favorite one out of them all. It had a very good story line going and just something about it held my attention strongly, more so then the other books. Bits and pieces were predictable though. Like the ending for example. However, I honestly thought she was going to get shot and killed, but then of course, Lane dies instead. My only complaint is that I hope she doesn’t keep going. The books are decent, but I feel like she should’ve stopped already. The author is just trying to keep it going and it needs to stop.

Wow! Just wow. I think this one has been the best in the series after book 1! It was so intense. There was a missing girl/potential murder already going on when Bellany shows up. I was surprised she actually was helping someone for once, though not out of pure kindness mind you lol I also didn't really care for the people she was swindling this time around and I actually liked her new sidekick 😂 It was fun trying to puzzle this one out and the twist got me 😱 No ending though, so I'm sure more books are coming haha
This one really reminded me of the first book in the series; fun, intriguing, kinda dumb but still attention-grabbing. Our girl Bellany never disappoints
The murder mystery had me turning page after page, Bellany's new plan had me squinting at the pages, trying to read in between the lines for her true motive, and her new sidekick was a breath of fresh air.
I know that it is very YA but the writing seems a little immature at times. The story can be fun to follow along (who doesn't love a villain!) but it gets a little predictable. I'm determined to finish the series since I started it, but it's getting a little boring when the villain continues to get away with everything--no real sense of danger.
Michele Leather is a master at leading readers through a maze of twists and turns. In this book, sixth in the series, Bellany isn't the only one keeping secrets of a deadly nature. I enjoyed learning details from various characters as well as the past and present format. Once again, an enjoyable ride.
This book pulled me in the same way the others did. First couple chapters are slow as they are introducing the characters but once the action starts, it is easy to get through. I appreciate every book in the series has a plot twist that is easier to see coming because they are all the same type of writing but it still is a WOW factor when it happens. Great book!
They’re like a train wreck - you just can’t look away. How much luck can such a horrible person really have! And, of course, I will read the next one, that’s why I give it 3 stars - because I just keep coming back for more.
Six books and it's over, heartbreaking! While we not supposed to root for the bad guy is hard not to with bellany. Excited to get attached to more of Michele Leathers characters!
I love all of this series. So many plot twist, when I think I knew what was going to happen next I was way off. A must read! You won't be able to put these books down. Thriller books are the best.
Amazing !!! And such a good quick read I read all 6 in a week plus worked 12 hours shifts !!! I didn’t want to put the books down !!! I CANT WAIT UNTIL BOOK 7 I need more … so curious about Cam and Bellany and how that is going to end up
I think you can really tell how the author has improved her plotting in the course of this series. This was a really enjoyable read for me! And I am excited for the seventh book to come out hopefully soon :)
I don’t know how Bellamy keeps being on the run without getting caught. Are 17/18yo kids that smart now a days.. Another good book but I’d love to know how her brother is coping since she went missing.
The story had its moments, for sure. While it wasn't my absolute favorite, I can appreciate the effort put into it. There were definitely some interesting ideas explored. Overall, it was a decent way to spend some time. I'm glad I had the chance to read it.
This book was the best so far out of the 6!! Very glad I kept going back. It may have been more enjoyable because I read it instead of listening to the audiobook. Can't wait for the next one
Seriously I have read six books in this series and you can not stop reading them until you get to the end, which never seems to be the end. I wonder how many more she will write?

I thought this was the last book, but no there is another one. To be honest I’m not enjoying this series as much as I was in the beginning. I’m ready for it to all come to an end.
So many typos. Bellany was actually decent but it would have been nice to end the series with all the characters coming together from previous books to confront Bellany.
